Jane (7/5): Our visit didn’t do its amenities justice. It was cold and snowing so we didn’t get to enjoy the hot tub on the river. N - Location; price; owners. A little hard to find as no Amortiti sign obvious from road.

I wish we had gotten there sooner so we could’ve sat outside and just enjoyed how beautiful the location was. That everything in this town closes before 9pm. That would’ve been nice to know BEFORE getting here. We would’ve eaten before we got here or stayed somewhere else if we had known that. We’re from Texas where everything is open til 10pm or later

Paid a decent amount of money for essentially a bed in a shed, if it wasn’t for the hot tub and sauna it would really be a rip off! I can’t comment on how staff were as I didn’t see any!

Nichole (9/5): Cozy, quaint, peaceful rooms on the river - The room and amenities were very clean, the location was relaxing, and the communication from the property was excellent. The in-room heater unit was very powerful and warm but took some figuring out to set. The TV was great, but the remote's volume control did not seem to work.

It was nice to have the river but it and the swimming area were not suitable for school-aged children. The beds were very comfortable. Kitchen - microwave was on the stove burners which were burned black. Extension cords used for kitchen appliances. No plates or mugs. Only 5 forks, 2spoons, 3 knives. Glasses were finally located in the living room area. No table or chairs - no place to sit and eat a meal. Gap of about 2 inches between wall & floor at transition between living area & kitchen. Bathroom was small - would have bumped my elbows if I had turned around in the shower, Bed was against two walls so one person had to climb over the other to get in or out of bed. No bedside tables for phones, eyeglasses, etc. No door between bedroom & living room, not enough space for a door to open between the wall & bed. Wheeled hanging rack, very wobbly, at foot of bed. Combination light/fan enclosed in a protective frame – appeared the light bulbs would break if the fan was turned on. Narrow door, at the head of the bed, leading into a second bedroom. Huge twin size bunk bed filled the room. There was about 12 inches at the foot of the bed and about two feet between the bed and wall. Nothing else was in the room. There was no notification posted about a breakfast. We did not see any motel personnel until we were leaving the next morning. We were sent a code to check in. This unit had no resemblance to any of the photos on their site.

GMA67 (5/5): USA TOUR 2025 GMA - Peut-être la situation au bord d'une rivière... Nous avons fait un grand "TOUR" (famille de 4 personnes) en partant de la Caroline du Sud en passant par l'Alabama, l'Arkansas le Texas, le Colorado, le Wyoming, le Montana, le Dakota du sud, le Nebraska, le Missouri, le Mississippi, et encore l'Alabama avant de retourner en Caroline du Sud après 28 jours de voyage. Nous avons réservé dans 20 hôtels. Nous avions réservé pour 2 jours...Ce que je peux dire, c'est que ce Lodge ne figure pas parmi les meilleurs ! Nous avions réservé une chambre pour quatre, mais n'avions que 2 lots de serviettes ! Les serviettes n'ont pas été remplacées pour le deuxième jour (humides le deuxième jour !) Nous avions réservé avec les petits déjeuner mais pas de petit déjeuner !!! Le wifi était très faible... Donc, le rapport qualité-prix n'était pas bon...

Donald (4/5): This motel totally misrepresented itself online. - Easy access with entry code. Paid $195/night for a tiny room with no phone, no chair or table, TV cable and wires exposed on the floor in front of the TV, unfinished (but painted!) walls, and a tiny shower that I struggled to enter or move around in. This motel gives "rustic" a bad name!

Songe (1/5): - I liked nothing about this place. The cabin i booked for was King, I received a queen cabin. The advertisement stated these were deluxe rooms. No air conditioning, No TV unless you sign on apps with own account and also we had items stolen from our room. Reported to the staff and they didn't know how to help or just didn't help. Will never stay there again

There are some drawbacks but all in all it is a nice stay. - The location, the river, the activities that were advertised even though we didn't participate. Booking implied we would have a river view...could have been our misunderstanding. Heat was supplied by a space heater that had no chance of reaching the bathroom. There were no outlets in the bathroom. the room needed a chair at the desk. We had a fine stay. We aren't really picky, but someone with serious expectations could be disappointed. We feel strongly that this place deserves a chance. They are trying to do something really cool in a small town with limited options. If we find ourselves in Dubois again we will stay there. The space was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional - Fun property - they offer lots of amenities to make this a great place to stay for a while and explore. With river-side seating, a hot tub, bonfire, and lawn games, you can really relax here in between hikes and checking out the restaurants and shops in town.
Kurt (3/5): STRANGE SMELL...NO HEAT...NO SLEEP...NO SHOWER - Great Location...but Seriously Stay Someplace Else! I will try to keep this down to the top several reasons to stay someplace else: 1st) Reserved a "Non-Smoking" Room...Question...So why did someone burn incense in our room?...To cover up the smell of cigarettes, vaping, marijuana, dog, or mold?...I thought "NON-SMOKING" meant "NON-BURNING"! 2nd) So to eliminate the powerful incense room smell we left the door open until the room got a little too cold...NO HEAT...we very quickly realized there in no thermostat for central heat in the room 3rd) However we did have a small 1970s wall plug in electric heater in our room...but it did not work regardless of which wall socket we attempted to plug it into...so still NO HEAT! 4th) Also only one blanket and no heat...which meant my wife slept touching me all night to stay warm so just forget getting any great sleep as my wife's personal heater 5th) NO HEAT...NO SHOWER...seriously I have not taken a cold room shower since the military forty-years ago and I was not going try it again on vacation 6th) All the cabins are touching in a row with a wood sidewalk and a wood porch cover...in the morning the noise of the people walking across the wood porch leaving sounded the same as trying to sleep on a basketball court during warmups...NO SLEEPING IN! 7th) I was not really impressed with the overall maintenance including the large hole in the screen door with let insects while we were eliminating the powerful incense room smell In Summary...this is not how we wanted to spent the first night of out vacation!!!

Andrew (4/5): Disappointing. - Very convenient. Nice aesthetic externally. The system seemed friendly, but really could have used a person helping us out as we had issues. Glad we didn’t stay the extra two days as we planned. No heat in the cabin. Was 45 degrees when we came in. No one stated the furnace. It didn’t get to 54 until midnight. It was 715 when we got in and a work crisis happened - needed wifi. Office was closed despite all texts and emails saying it was open till 9 so couldn’t get wifi or any heaters or blankets. Bunkbed hadn’t been cleaned and one whole slat was broken - kid almost slipped through with the mattress. Queen bed there wasn’t made. Only had 1 sheet and 1 blanket per bed and 1 space heater to cover 3 rooms. Towels were not clean. Tried messaging and no one responded until we were asked after we checked out how our stay was. Should have just gotten a regular room and expected that off season support or cleanliness was less than ideal. Kid was really happy the next morning when a deer came by looking for snacks.
Stephen (1/5): Bad - Nothing Showed up at 930 pm to a dirty destroyed room with no front desk help.And no.help from Booking.com to find another room. Drove to Super 8 down the street and got a room.

Betty (10/5): Great place - The rooms were comfortable and the pillows were great. The property was on the river and they had chairs set out so you could enjoy the beautiful view. There wasn't anything that I didn't like.

Jane (5/5): We didn't really spend much time in the room. We used it for sleeping. - The location was good for access to the parks and was right in town. The room was very large and comfortable. The room needed some repair work. One of the chairs had a broken arm and the blind on the front windo was too short to go all the way down. For the price they could have offered a cold continental breakfast. Also there were no tissues provided.
