- Jenny (9/5): - Fab! Really friendly, helpful staff! Really lovely clean comfortable rooms with everything you need. Food in the restaurant was reasonably priced, beautifully presented, with plenty of choice and tasted delicious. We were made so welcome with our too little dogs and would definately return!

- Franklin (10/5): Friendly owners, a huge and comfortable room, and a lovely breakfast made this a great place to stay - I stayed here this week for work and had a great experience. The owners were incredibly welcoming and friendly, which made the stay really pleasant. The room was huge, spotlessly clean, very comfortable, and nice and warm despite the cold weather. Breakfast was excellent, and everyone I met was so friendly. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it. nothing it was great, can't fault it at all!
- Ailsa (7/5): A bit Fawlty Towers, but I’m sure it will all be sorted and fine the next time! - Location. Attractive rooms. Pleasant staff who did everything they could to sort out the situation we ended up in. Good food. We were jinxed. Heating wasn’t on and they had to get us an electric heater until bed room warmed up. Then the wash hand basin had a leak and flooded, so we had to move rooms. The bar was also chilly and we were very grateful to the customer who suggested it WAS necessary to light the fire as the CH wasn’t making much difference. I do understand that they had been closed for two days and may not have had bedrooms let even before then. BUT in winter I think you really need to have CH on low so that the building doesn’t take half a day to heat through. And the fire should definitely have been on at 4pm to welcome people in. Seeing people sitting at dinner with their coats on is not a good look!
- Helena (10/5): Our stay was exceptional — a spotless, comfortable, and beautifully presented property with outstanding service. A truly - The property was immaculate, beautifully presented, and had a very welcoming and homely atmosphere. The customer service was outstanding Olivia— the staff were exceptionally helpful in recommending alternative dining options when the Star Inn was closed on the day of our stay.
It was particularly special to spend time in a pub where my great-grandfather used to drink many years ago, adding a lovely personal touch to our visit. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the attention to detail throughout the rooms was impressive.
Overall, this was by far the best place we have stayed. We would highly recommend it to anyone seeking comfort, character, and excellent hospitality. Nothing all perfect.
