- nath (8/5): Wonderful stays at Nubian village near Nile river. - We stayed two nights there and the experience was very good, specifically their service. All staffs are very friendly and helpful, restaurant food was so delicious with a stunning nile view. If you want to feel the vibrant Nubian culture closely then It's the ideal place, It's more than a hotel. I will definitely stay here if I ever go to Aswan again. Indrive drivers are little bit far from this area, You should consider calling a ride minimum 45 minutes before start. Pre-booking taxi or a private car will be a great option while planning to visit Abu Simbel or city center from there. The hotel authority also has great ability to manage vehicles within short notice.

La visite du village proposé par l'établissement est vraiment super. Petit déjeuner Nubien servi dans le restaurant au dernier étage. Notre chambre au rez-de-chaussée était un peu sombre et la literie pas assez ferme à notre goût.

- TJ (10/5): Highly recommended. - If they offer you a free walking tour of the village, take it. I did and had a great cultural experience. Given how things are in Egypt, I was a little skeptical initially, wondering what the agenda was. But Edris, the guide and host was genuine. He just wanted to share the Nubian culture with us as we walked along. On the way back to the accommodation, a tuk tuk passed by. He recognized the young driver and they started chatting. Then impromptu, he asked us to jump on with him, which we did. There was clearly no agenda. On arriving at the accommodation, Edris paid the driver. I offered to pay for the ride but he refused to accept it. I offered again when we had dinner but he adamantly refused again. It was just such a great experience with Edris and the rest of the staff. Dinner was reasonably priced and very tasty. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Nothing to dislike. Everything was just great.

The warmth and welcome and peace I found there was phenomenal . Aya and Idris was in contact with me throughout planning my trip to Aswan and the exceed my expectations. Love the village and the tuk tuk guys and the kerma restaurant. We tried the pigeon and a lot of their meals . The breakfast was delicious. Tours and transfers to Luxor was great price and planning. We appreciate the happy times with the people of this one of a kind hotel in Aswan. Much love to Aya and Idris and the chef and all the friendly faces we met in Aswan. Abdul our airport shuttle guy was awesome too. Will recommend this hotel for anyone especially large family of 5 . We fit comfortably and the internet was very reliable. Clean hotel and well maintained rooms and baths. Everyone treated us like family! We even got to hold a crocodile . Thanks for the free Nubian tour. - Giuglia87 (8/5): Una notte nel villaggio nubiano - Nel villaggio nubiano ottima accoglienza e disponibilità dello staff, ci sono venuti a prendere all aeroporto per 15$, abbiamo potuto cenare tranquillamente nonostante siamo arrivati tardi. Camera modesta con tutto il necessario. Ci hanno preparato la colazione da portare via perché andavamo via molto presto. Un gesto molto carino. Peccato non siamo potuti rimanere di più per vedere e approfondire le esperienze nel villaggio nubiano. Un po' troppo rumoroso la notte, il bagno un po' piccolo. Le prese della corrente un po' difettose.

Het hotel is gelegen buiten het centrum van Aswan, maar dit zorgt ook voor de nodige rust.

- Stephen (9/5): An authentic taste of Nubian hospitality on the edge of Souheyl village - Like a family home with open-hearted and responsive staff naturally inclined to make your stay a happy one. The reception staff in particular are wonderful. Bedrooms are spotlessly clean and look pleasing. Spacious roof terrace for when the sun goes down. Tuk-tuks easily arranged if you want a lift to the centre of the village, though the walk there is easy and no more than 10 minutes. I liked the varied and freshly made breakfasts and well-cooked meals in the restaurant. A great place to feel part of the local community. A small fridge would be a helpful addition to the bedrooms. You have to get used to the early morning call to prayer from the nearby mosque. A fixed service charge of 10% is added to your bill in the restaurant; it should be discretionary and given directly to staff.
