- Nizar (4/5): Clean and well-maintained hostel with friendly staff, but extremely noisy due to traffic and birds in the shutters, maki - The hostel was overall very clean and well maintained, and the staff was friendly. However, there is one major downside: the noise. The traffic outside is extremely loud, making it very difficult to sleep at night. In addition, birds are living in the shutters and they make very loud noises, especially early in the morning. Because of this, it is literally impossible to get a good night’s sleep. Apart from that, everything else was very good, but because of the noise I would not choose this hostel again.

- Charlotte (7/5): Hôtel un peu rustique mais parfait pour une étape au Caire. - Hôtel très bien situé dans downtown. Il se trouve à l'intérieur d'un immeuble en travaux. Les chambres sont spacieuses avec une salle de bain correcte. Attention lors de votre booking : précisez bien le nombre de personnes par chambre (nous avons réservé une triple, mais une seule personne a été comptabilisée... le propriétaire a été sympa, mais il s'apprêtait à nous demander un supplément pour chaque voyageur - c'est assez contre-intuitif). Le petit dej est top ! Accueil adorable et possibilité de laisser nos valises après le check out. Hôtel hyper bruyant (comme beaucoup d'établissements au Caire). C'est une question d'habitude... Si vous avez le sommeil léger et que vous préférez un peu de standing, nous vous recommandons de chercher un hôtel un peu plus cher. Coupure d'eau le matin, pas de douche possible.

The location is absolutely perfect — right in the center of everything and within walking distance of Tahrir Square, the Egyptian Museum, restaurants, cafes, and public transportation. They truly made me feel at home. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The beds were cozy, and the atmosphere was relaxed and social — perfect for solo travelers or friends traveling together. The shared areas were tidy and great for meeting other travelers from around the world. Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, and the value for money is outstanding compared to other places in the area. I highly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Cairo. I would definitely stay here again!

- Andrea (9/5): - This was the second time I was staying in this hostel and they returned me some cash change that they forgot to give me the first time! Very well located in Downtown. The 4 beds male dorm in reality is a 3 bed, all low. Electric socket near each bed. Private bathroom in the dorm. Very basic kitchen available. No hangers in the toilet, just a towel rail.

- Veronique (4/5): Disappointing start, which didn't encourage us to prolong our stay - The second room we were given was of good size, clean and relatively quiet. We did sleep well, which was needed after a 7 hour trip! We were given bath towels, but had to ask for them. There is a small kettle and tea cups in the room, but it would have been nice to have a few complementary tea bags for short time stay guests at least. The first room we were given did not meet our expectations at all: there were rotten floorboards in one area in front of the wardrobe and the chandelier was hanging by one wire, which made us feel unsafe. The bathroom was very mouldy. The tv did not work. All this was very disappointing after reading good reviews about this hotel. We asked to change room, which was first denied due to "not having any other room." However, once we said that we wouldn't stay, another room was suddenly found for us! The second room was much better. One issue was that the shower head did not work. I would have given a better review if we had been offered this room from the beginning. Due to the bad start at this hotel, we cancelled our breakfast, thus I can't comment on it.

- Yana (7/5): Worth the money - The location of the hostel is perfect! There are two metro stations around, plenty of shops and restaurants and beautiful old buildings around. This area it's the really heart of Cairo. The workers were really nice and helpful. In the end it's a hostel in Cairo so you get exactly what you paid for. If you are a lightsleeper you must bring an earplugs, as the noise outside is 24/7. The room and the bathroom was dirty when I have arrived and I got the last bed that was a half meter from the toilet. I think that this room should be for 3 beds only, as nobody would like to sleep next to the toilet. So the first night I slept at my friend's place, and then they moved me to another bed. The kitchen was also dirty and always full of dishes.

Very convenient area, 5' walk from 2 metro stations (safe to use), in the heart of Downtown, surrounded by restaurants, 20' walk from Tahrir square. Good wifi. Good warm shower. Nice socialization with fellow backpackers in the common area. Mattress is not very comfortable. The bathroom was very dirty at my arrival. Two days later it was clean and it was OK. Twice I paid cash and the staff didn't have change, they promised me to return my change later but it never happened. It was very little money, but it's the principle that matters.

- Aymen (1/5): - This property operates in a very unclear and misleading way. Due to a so-called issue in my room, I was asked to move to another hotel two streets away. The next day, I was told to move again because the room was “already booked”. I later realized that the Booking listing actually mixes TWO different hotels (same owner): • a decent one on Adly Street • a much poorer one on Sherif Street, with extremely uncomfortable mattresses Photos are clearly mixed between both hotels, which is deceptive. You never know where you will actually stay. Being forced to change hotels twice during a short stay is unacceptable and shows a total lack of respect for guests. 👉 Avoid this place.

- Turgay (6/5): not bad - in the city center... The common areas and building were not clean... it's an old building... the internet connection in our room was very weak... the bed was of poor quality...

- Lucas (5/5): - The staff were genuinely kind, helpful, and welcoming. We arrived at around 2:30 AM and someone was there waiting for us, which we truly appreciated. Their attitude remained positive throughout our stay. At check-out, they also allowed us to leave our luggage on the property until it was time to head to the airport, free of charge — a gesture that helped us a lot and deserves recognition. The room unfortunately did not meet the expectations set by the listing. The property is in a very central area, but the windows have no sound insulation, so we could hear constant street noise — honking, traffic, people talking — which made it very difficult to sleep. We had booked a triple room with a private bathroom, but the bathroom door was a glass door that didn’t actually close. It would swing open due to its angle, so anyone using the bathroom had to hold it shut by hand, which was uncomfortable and did not provide privacy. There was no running water when we arrived. From our early-morning check-in until late the next morning, we weren’t able to shower, wash our hands, brush our teeth, or wash our face. Although the bed sheets were clean, the pillows had no pillowcases, which felt unhygienic. Towels were also not provided. Two of the three beds were in good condition, but the third one had completely worn-out springs and felt almost like a trampoline. Even though none of us weigh much, the bed sagged and bounced in a way that made it almost impossible to sleep comfortably. Several electrical outlets were also in poor condition, with plugs slipping out of the wall. Overall, while the room looked fine at first glance, the lack of maintenance became clear very quickly.
