Guest Reviews
- Tina (5/5): - Central to every where we wanted to visit Should have been advertised about the amount of stairs. Elderly couples would struggle . The bed was awful ,very uncomfortable . The photos on site made the apartment look far bigger than it was .
- Karen (5/5): served its purpose but would not stay again due to the negatives above. - Location was really good. Beds were comfy and the kitchen facilities had everything you need. A parking permit was left for us to display in our vehicle. Key code was not sent until the exact specific time so if you get there slightly early you cannot gain access. Parking was an issue even with a permit as the roads were busy. 3 flights of stairs which were not mentioned in the write up at the time of booking so not suitable for disabled or young families. A non refundable deposit was also requested after booking without being mentioned in the initial write up of the property advertisement so the price advertised is not the price you will pay. Again although the property was left spotless, they keep your deposit money.
- Lorna (5/5): - Close to beach It said dog friendly but dogs not allowed in bedrooms or on sofa.
These were not made clear until after booking

- Lowe (8/5): Does the job - Great apartment, has got everything you'll need for a short stay. It was really clean. Good location No chance at using the parking permit because the zone was always full but there was a capark close by. Think it about £12 per day so no drama.
Water pressure was poor in the shower but we managed.
- Fiona (7/5): Good - The flat was ok, the beds were comfy. We didn't really stay in as the beach was just down the road and the weather was lovely. The shower didn't really heat up for very long and the water didn't drain very well. Was a bit dusty could of done with a deeper clean
- Janice (2/5): Dissappointing - Location. After climbing 4 flights of stairs, we opened the fkat door to see anothet set of narrow stairs to get into flat. The stairs needed cleaning. The radiator n skirting boards in bathroom were dirty, the sink n shower plugs needed cleaning as the water could not go down, freezer could not be used as it was full of ice and cooker full of grease, smelled really bad so has been this way gor some time. Loads of dust under beds. This flat needs a good spring clean.
- Jo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Clare (3/5): Disappointing stay - Nice apartment and 5 minutes walk to the seafront cliffs. No cleaner had been done before our stay. Dirty bedding, towels, and rubbish left from previous visitors. No parking permit left for on-road parking. Contacted company immediately, said cleaner would come and sort. This did not happen during our stay. No alternative accommodation was offered. Luckily, the flat had clean towels and bedding in a cupboard and a hoover. Not impressed with the service received, customer service team were lovely but nothing they could do! Need comfortable but noisy whem you move. Also top floor flat, so expect to do a lot of stairs, not suitable for children or dogs as advertised due to steep staircase in the property.
- Karyn (6/5): ok, felt a bit basic - Kitchen ok Stairs
Cobwebs
Beds too soft & squeaky
No wardrobe in main bedroom
Front door & hallway up to flat unappealing
- Lisa (1/5): Awful-do not book here - Nothing as my parents could not access the property and had to drive 3 hours home The fact that I constantly asked the property liaise with my mum as I was and still am overseas. I received a message 5 minutes before expected check in to say it hadn't been cleaned so could my parents check in tomorrow. The given phone number was unobtainable. They so landed a £30 ,non refundable deposit the day my parents were due to arrive which I then had to sort whilst sitting in Bangkok airport. Awful customer service from start to finish. Fortunately I made all payments via a credit card and will be cancelling them when back in the uk
- Frances (1/5): Cold, no hot water, unpleasant stay. - The property was in a lovely location. We have come to Whitby numerous occasions and it’s our favourite town. I wanted to book somewhere for my partner and 11 year old daughter to have a chilled time after a really stressful few months, and this small apartment in Whitby was perfectly central and nice-looking Upon arrival it was clear that the hot water and heating didn’t work. It was 5 degrees outside and the property had clearly not been heated in a while. My 11 year old was struggling to get comfortable after the long drive so so we contacted the property’s email as per their instructions. They came back to us quickly and gave us instructions for the thermostat. Despite following the instructions (I have the same thermostat at home) the heating said it was on, but nothing came on, the radiators remained stoned-cold alone we had no hot water to wash or shower.
Despite numerous attempts to resolve the issue from my side, throughout our weekend stay it was not fixed. All i received was emails back from Prim (the property’s company) promising it would be sorted, and their only contact t to me was when I reached out, there were no updates unless I contacted them. Eventually on the Saturday it was clear it wasn’t going to be fixed so I prompted them to find us somewhere else to stay. Hours later they finally contacted me, late into the night after my daughter had gone to bed, offering alternative accommodation for the night. I declined due to the fact it was now night time and pointless.
They promised me that someone would be round to check the problem before we checked out the next morning. That never happened. I contacted the property following our leaving as well as booking.com and booking.com assured me they’d find a resolution to the problem but actually all they did was, without checking with me, give me £41.44 in booking.com vouchers. I was very unhappy as the property itself did not even offer any compensation and we’d spent a lot on this meaning we can’t now go an enjoy our time elsewhere - over £200 on this property plus the £30 waiver the property makes you pay in case of damages. To offer just over the cost of the waiver back, without any contact, felt a bit rude.
I sent evidence to booking.
- Wendy (3/5): Poor - The location of the property That the flat was up 4 flights of stairs that isn't advertised upon booking. On arrival there wasn't any lighting in the front doorway.
The apartment was not clean at all, skirting boards, on top of mirrors, TV and doors were thick with dust. The double bedroom was the worst with all I can say is an abundance of dust inches thick behind the large mirror that could be seen without moving it, the bed linen on the double bed was marked with goodness knows what, the window sil was filthy along with the floor full of hair and dust that actually gathered under the door. In the bathroom the dust was hanging over the top of the door with large cobwebs hanging from door to ceiling, the bathroom draw was very marked inside along with a left over bag from whoever. I had to clean the top of the bathroom door and behind the mirror in the bedroom as it was that thick i couldnt leave it. The stairs from the apartment door didn't look like it had seen a hoover the dust was very visible and thick. The spindles on the staircase were also thick with dust. Nearly every ceiling had a cobweb or two. I could literally go on, I have never stayed somewhere so filthy, I don't expect places to be perfect but this was atrocious
