• Manfred Bruno (9/5): - Tolle Lage, direkt in der Altstadt, ruhig, Coffee FREE Keine Rezeption, mit Code Haustür und Zimmertür öffnen. Dass wurde vorher nirgends erwähnt. Angegebene Tel. Nr. nicht erreichbar/temporär nicht vorhanden, versuchen Sie es später noch einmal..... Auf WhatsApp, Email und SMS kenen Code erhalten. Hatte gottseidank die booking- app auf dem Handy. Dort fand ich unter meine Buchungen irgendwo die Codes, gesendet gegen Mittag. Jetzt alles ok. Andere Gäste hatten am nächsten Tag panikartig das gleiche Problem. Das muss doch nicht sein!
• Rod (1/5): It was an absolute nightmare - I did not get a confirmation email. I tried to ring on the front door 32 times to get assistance. The door entry system does not connect to anybody. The front door was open even though it was meant to be locked. I could enter the property but there was nobody there as stated that there would be. I was not the only person with his problem. I don’t usually leave reviews but I hope that anybody else that books it make sure that they get a confirmation code from the Hotel with the door entry pin number the security of the building is not very good and there are no staff there to help them even though they do say so. As I’ve already stated, security was problem and there is nobody there and the phone number that he’s given on the front door does not work

• Otaro21 (10/5): Simple but it's good and affordable!!! Your in ICELAND - It's in the center and near in all the bus stop of your excursion. It's clean with free coffee and hot water. When the coffee maker was not working. There's no hot water for coffee. But they made and alternative on it. They 2 thermos for coffee and hot water. So still is good.

• Sini (3/5): Avoid this hotel - Great location The code to the door did not work so I called and messaged the property. Nobody answered my calls or messages. They had not put the # after the room door code which is why the door did not open. I figured this out myself and finally got in. I felt very unsafe in the hotel as there were no staff and there were some young guys drinking whisky and being loud in the communal area when I arrived. I knew it was not staffed at most times but at least I thought in emergency, my call would be answered. The floor in the room was dirty with brown stains that went in a long line from almost the door to the window. The curtain had black finger marks on it which were also on the wall next to the window. There is no sound proofing so I could hear everything coming from outside and the communal area downstairs (I was on the second floor). You can also hear the rooms above me or anybody moving in the corridor. I recommend taking ear plugs with you if you want to stay here and have a good sleep. I went to get some dinner and got back early evening. There was food thrown on the stairs inside in front of the main door. I heard the staff come in around 7am but when I checked out of the hotel after 10am, the same food was still there. Nobody had cleaned it up. The floor in the toilet/shower was flooded with water around 8am. The cleaner cleaned the toilet but they left the water puddle on the floor. Also, there was nasty stuff in the plug hole in the shower. This had not been cleaned though staff was in. The tea/coffee machine did not work. Another guest told me they had reported the issue the day before but nobody had come to fix it. The breakfast was left outside the door around 7am. It included jam and butter but there were no utensils so you could not use them unless you used your finger. They should have included a disposable knife in the bag. My main issue was not feeling safe and clean.

• Inês (7/5): No geral foi, boa. Boa localização, quarto confortável. Zonas comuns podiam ser mais cuidadas. - No geral estava tudo ok. O quarto era confortável e tinha as comodidades necessárias para o tempo que fiquei, achei que tinha boa proteção sonora. Um dos duches achei muito pequeno e acho que as casas de banho deveriam ser limpas mais regularmente, sendo que nunca vi ninguém a limpar durante a minha estadia, mas estavam razoáveis. A parte pior foi o alarme de incêndio que enquanto estive no hotel tocou pelo menos duas vezes, tendo sido uma delas a meio da noite, o que provocou um grande sobressalto. Felizmente ambas as vezes foram falsos alarmes, mas deveria ser algo a melhorar, sendo que na segunda vez outro hóspede tentou contactar o alojamento várias vezes para perceber o que se passava e ninguém atendeu.

• JohnHGLloyd (9/5): Old Town Reykjavík is an ideal base for city stays - Old Town's location is excellent, right in the historic heart of Reykjavík, steps away from the Parliament building, and close to a wide range of restaurants and bars. The room was clean and comfortable, with clean bathrooms and WCs. I was particularly grateful to the hotel cleaners, who helped me with my suitcase up the stairs to my room. There were also lots of chairs and tables in the common area, making it a good place to rest and recover after travel into the city. It ticked all the boxes for me, a simple overnight stay before an airport transfer the following morning.
• Hanna (3/5): This place will ruin your vacation - I liked that it was close to all main locations in the city I didn’t like that there is no elevator; it’s not soundproof and you can hear everything, so it’s impossible to sleep. The worst thing is fire alarm at 01:45, everyone was evacuated and then told that it’s a mistake

• Pamela (9/5): Great place to stay; Very well located - The room was comfortable and clean, always coffee at the lobby; very peaceful. The cleaning ladies very kind and helpful. Loved the sink into the room! And the possibility to regulate the temp room. Kinda loud during bed time and in the middle of the night. Woke me up several times. Lots of noises from the corridors, fire alarm, etc. It would be helpful have someone to manage these situations onsite.

Läget är 10/10 Väldigt lyhört, tunna väggar och även om kodlåsen på dörrarna är jättebra så hörs de alltid när andra rum är i korridorerna eller ska öppna sina dörrar!

• Christoph (2/5): - - the overall idea of sinks in the rooms and shared bathrooms works quite well. Rooms are small but enough for 1 person - location is very good - heaters could easily keep the small room cozy - the room also had a nice chair and table - there is absolutely 0 sound isolation. No sound proof windows, no sound proof doors. You can hear absolutely EVERYTHING happening on the street and outside your room. Every car driving by, music from across the street, rowdy guests in the hallways. You can hear every conversation - there was no staff present to enforce the quiet hours. People were shouting in the hallways and slamming doors well into the morning hours. Messages about this were answered a week after my stay - due to this, the most basic function of a hotel - sleep - was impossible - the bed was hard and the pillow flat. I ended up using my jacket as a pillow

Henkilökuntaa eli siistijöitä näkyi siivousaikana, he olivat ystävällisiä ja avuliaita. Ulko-oven koodi oli vaihdettu ja se ilmoitettiin jälkikäteen. Onneksi oli muita yöpyjiä, jotka osasivat sen kertoa.Äänieristys todella huono ja ovet paukkuivat aina kiinni mennessään.

• Nikolaus (5/5): - The common areas were perfect. Like a good hostel, moreso than a hotel, with nice coffee making facilities The beds were rather uncomfortable. There's no staff, which means that we did not know what to do when the room next to ours started drinking and partying noisily very late at night. But worst of all, the hotel cancelled our original booking 2 nights before our stay, and it was a nightmare trying to get in contact with them. They told booking.com that they would ring/email us right back, and it took over 8 hours for them to reply. I wasted a whole day on the phone with booking.com just trying to fix the situation. Would not recommend this hotel for this reason alone. Not worth the stress.

• Chi (10/5): Elegant budget hotel in a quiet neighborhood. - A free tea station is the best feature of this hotel. The location is ideal for travelers seeking quiet accommodations, yet it's not far from downtown. All main bus stations are within walking distance. This hotel does not have an elevator. However, there is a locker room that is quite convenient for late check-ins. No receptionist is needed because the hotel uses access codes for entry.

I would come back - The location is very well placed right in the city center which makes all the money, the rooms are quite modest but very clean as are the bathrooms. The atmosphere inside is pleasant, the heating is ok. Very useful tips displayed in the entrance lobby about Iceland. Breakfast brought to the room door very promptly every morning, but quite poor and the same things

• Donna (8/5): Pleasant stay in well located hostel. - Fantastic location right near the Settlement Museum, close to bus-stops for tours. Close to a mix of restaurants, cafes and grocery stores. My single room was quite small but with a comfortable bed. Really more of a hostel than a hotel so I was pleasantly surprised by the bathrooms. I didn't see any staff and if something had gone wrong I wouldn't have known how to get in touch with anyone. There was only one shower and on the final day I couldn't get in early enough.

We were able to control the temperature in the room and it was cozy. The staff was very responsive when we had issues. The room was small. The beds weren’t bad but they weren’t the most comfortable. The power went out in some of the outlets but after messaging, the staff had it restored in a few minutes.
