• Kevin (10/5): PERFECTION WITH A SLICE OF PARADISE - We only stayed 1 week here before moving to Nungwi to an all inclusive hotel and I wish now that we had spent the whole 2 weeks at Johari Beach Resort. From arrival to departure we were made to feel so welcome. We are well travelled but never have we been somewhere that affords total relaxation. The staff are so helpful and are always smiling. We stayed in a villa and the cleanliness and comfort was exceptional. Wake up in a morning with the choice of having breakfast brought to you and then having to stumble the few feet to your sun lounger with a perfect view of the ocean..what more can you ask for 😊 The area is relatively unspoilt by mass tourism and we left feeing very humbled! Both my wife and I celebrated birthdays whilst we were staying at the resort and the whole team sang and danced around us having given us our birthday cakes. Saatiin aina apua, jos oli jotain kysyttävää. Ruoka oli mielettömän hyvää ja kaunista. Sijainniltaan hotelli on hieman sivussa, mutta halusimmekin tällä lomalla rauhaa. Toute l’équipe d’Arjun est aux petits soins et vous font vivre une expérience inoubliable. Des serveurs, aux femmes de ménages jusqu’aux agents de sécurité, tout le monde était adorable. Nous nous sommes sentis à la maison et nous sommes partis le cœur lourd. Un paradis sur terre! Honnêtement nous avons tout aimé. La seule chose qui peut être améliorée est le petit déjeuner et je précise qu’il est cependant très correct (tout type d’œufs, crêpes et pancakes, fruits, english breakfast, yaourts)

• Adriana (10/5): The best vacation we could've imagined - We spent the loveliest 18 nights in Johari and a month later we miss it sooo much! :) Everything about the stay was simply perfect, the property is new, it has a reliable generator so we never experienced lack of electricity. The rooms are very spacious, air conditioned and cleaned twice a day. Also we had the most amazing view from our balcony - there is nothing quite like the African sunsets over the ocean! There is a private beach with a little jetty and stairs right into the ocean when the tide is high and onto the white sand at low tide. You can sunbathe at the sunbeds and then right from there you can snorkel freely at high tide. And now about the staff - everything I say will not be enough to describe the hospitality and the care that we got from the entire staff. Starting with special thanks to Arjun, the general manager, he really went above and beyond to take care of everyone and everything - all you might need, he will most probably find a solution for. We even got upgraded to a villa with a private pool for the last days of our stay and it was a perfect end to the perfect vacation. Chef Ali's amazing food was also a highlight, from the delicious breakfast to the wonderful tasty dinner meals. Roman and the entire restaurant staff were also all very attentive! The Maasai security guys were always reliable and smiling and made us feel safe throughout the entire stay! I remember reading reviews like that before our arrival and I was honestly afraid it was some kind of scam - no place can have so many good reviews and no guests know the staff by name, it simply looked too good to be true! But only one day into our stay and we were sure it was all true! We honestly miss our stay there, for us it felt like home away from home! Thank you, guys, for the lovely three weeks we spent together!

The hotel is very new, and the finishes are of top international standard. The place is very quiet and all rooms or villas have direct seaviews. The staff and the General Manager are very welcoming, and everything is extremely clean and well designed. Simply perfect. The only minus could be the distance to Zanzibar town which is about 1hour 20 minutes driving

We had a wonterful time with a staff who went out of their way to help even with a flat tire on our rental car! Relaxed atmosphere created by the best staff! We'll be back!

You can never stay long enough!
• Kara (9/5): - We stayed at Johari Beach Resort for two nights and had a really great stay. The facilities are excellent, including a really great gym which was much better equipped than most hotel gyms and a nice bonus during our stay. The views are honestly amazing – such a beautiful spot and a lovely place to relax. All of the staff were so friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The manager in particular really went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us, which we really appreciated. Overall we had a fantastic couple of days and would definitely recommend Johari Beach Resort to anyone visiting the area.
• Benjamin (10/5): Probably the best spot in Kizimkazi! - Johari Beach is a fantastic spot in Kizimkazi. It’s a beautiful luxury boutique hotel with exceptionally friendly and genuinely welcoming staff. Breakfast was excellent—especially the variety of homemade juices and smoothies. The hibiscus juice is a must-try! The beachfront is very clean and equipped with comfortable sunbeds, making it a perfect place to relax. Thanks to the hotel’s small size, it feels very private and peaceful. We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment, which was fully furnished and offered a lovely view. It was spotless, and the morning and evening room service added an extra touch of care and comfort. Overall, it was a 10/10 stay, and I’m already looking forward to coming back! No complaints.

• Franco Forghieri (9/5): Schönes modernes freundliches Hotel - Sehr schönes, modernes Hotel mit sehr großem Apartment, bequem mit dem Aufzug erreichbar. Der Küchenbereich war großzügig, das Bad jedoch etwas klein. Sehr bequeme Betten. Tägliche Zimmerreinigung. Der Swimmingpool ist schön, allerdings ohne Dusche und mit etwas wenig Schatten. Am Strand gibt es viele Liegen und Sonnenschirme, über eine Holztreppe gelangt man direkt ins Meer. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, das Essen gut und der Koch hat auch gerne individuelle Wünsche erfüllt. Es werden keine alkoholischen Getränke angeboten. Insgesamt war unser Aufenthalt sehr angenehm. Zu kleines Bad Keine Duschen am Swimmingpool

Picture ten oceanfront villas, each with its own private pool, plus a handful of dreamy suites with uninterrupted sea views… pure paradise! The vibe is all about peace, privacy, and pure relaxation. The staff couldn’t be kinder or more attentive, and Arjun, the hotel manager, deserves a special mention, he personally makes sure every guest feels at home. The food was a real highlight: fresh, flavorful, and inspired by the best local ingredients. The chef not only cooks incredibly well but is also happy to tweak the menu to your taste. Our suite was spacious, stylish, and super comfortable, every detail was perfectly curated. The resort also has two infinity pools, a private beach area with comfy loungers and umbrellas, and even two hanging hammocks where you can float above the ocean and watch the sunset… magic! There’s also direct access to the sea when the tide allows, great Wi-Fi, a small gym, and a relaxing massage service. Outside the property there’s not much around, apart from the Turtle Cave and Secret Garden nearby, but honestly, you won’t want to leave. When the tide goes out, you can take a peaceful walk along the beach all the way to Kizimkazi local fishing village

Утром можно купаться в море, в 11-14 отлив, и после можно хорошо купаться. Мы плавали до пляжа, есть, где покупаться. Днем купались в бассейне (их два), места всем хватало. В общем, моря здесь достаточно, чтобы покупаться. Мне понравилась атмосфера на отеле. Здесь настолько великолепно, что не хотелось никуда ехать. Я прям отсыпалась, наедалась, купалась. Я не хотела огромный отель, хотелось компактный, здесь это случилось. Также была возможность сделать массаж прямо в номере. Очень хороший специалист, я получила расслабление. В живую номер лучше, чем на фото. Уборка хорошая. Дважды в день. Было хорошей идеей взять номер с двумя спальнями. У каждой спальни свой санузел, что тоже было классно, не ждать очереди. В номере также была просторная гостиная с кухней (мы ей не пользовались). Кондиционеры были в каждой спальне и гостиной. Сам номер стильно декорирован. Как и сам отель. Персонал вежливый, улыбчивый, хорошо все говорят на английском. Так как это западная сторона, то здесь есть закаты, которые я люблю. Wi-fi везде ловил достаточно хорошо. Экскурсии. Недалеко есть Mtende Secret Beach, и пещера, где можно поплавать и покормить черепах. Хочется отдельно отметить работу шеф-повара Ali. Мы ели такую вкусную и свежевыловленную рыбу, лобстеров, креветки! Даже рис и овощи был незабываемыми, безумно вкусно! Пишу и слюньки текут! Также хочу поблагодарить Arjun за гостеприимство и организацию такого шикарного пространства! Весь отель пронизан заботой, теплом и уютом. Больших вам успехов, процветания! Это было приятное времяпрепровождение!

Arjun, the manager, g - Privacy, tranquillity, spotless surroundings, warm and attentive staff, comfortable transfers, delicious food and thoughtful touches like the surprise yoga session that made the stay truly special. Nothing, but I wish they could add a jungle gym for kids in the future.
• Klaus (9/5): Ingesamt eine sehr exclusive Anlage mit tollem, freundlichen und engagierten Personal. - Die Anlage ist neu ( 3 Monate) und schön und exklusiv gebaut und angelegt. Der Hotelmanager ist extrem engagiert und hilft überall. Der Koch hat ein Super Silvestermenü gezaubert. Der Pool und das Restaurant liegen leider etwas weiter weg vom Strand. Es fehlt noch etwas „ Flair“. Kleinere bauliche Mängel müssen noch behoben werden.

• Achille (10/5): - Sans aucun doute, l'une des meilleures expériences de ma vie. Un hôtel à la hauteur de son prestige, avec un staff au top niveau. Mention spéciale au gérant Arjun et au Chef Ali qui sont d'une gentillesse, d'un accueil qui frôle la perfection . Les plats étaient très bon. Le lieu est magnifique, avec un cadre qui vous fige dans le temps ( fidel aux photos). Pour notre part nous étions dans une des villa avec piscine privée et tout était confort et très propre. Le lit était parfait malgré mon exigence sur ce point . C'est très dur de rentrer chez nous, mais si nous revenons un jour, nous savons où retourner. Nous nous sommes bien reposé a Zanzibar au Johari Beach resort. Merci a Deborah pour les massages relaxants Niveau qualité/ prix on a été largement satisfait. Merci à toute l'équipe 😇🥰
• Selina (8/5): Comfortable, the rest we needed before heading back home. - The comfortable rooms and proximity to the beach. I also liked that they had a kiddies pool and adult pool. The food was amazing, and prepared well. There was a lot of drilling during and day and sometimes evening. The rooms were not cleaned well. I understand the place is still new, perhaps have someone stay on the apartment to test it out before opening it for booking, in this way all gremlins are sorted. I also didn’t like how some of the staff were treated, I’m all for efficiency but also believe that everyone should be respected. It’s uncomfortable witnessing such all in the name of efficiency.

И могу сделать выводы , что это отличный отель. Отличный персонал. И нам очень понравилось. 100% советую. Нас было 6 взрослых и 2е детей . Снимали виллу с приватным бассейном. • Pooja (9/5): Overall a very comfortable stay with good amenities - The villas are spacious, comfortable, well equipped and well maintained. We had chosen the villa with the plunge pool. Nice large living area and kitchen. Special thanks to Arjun for taking such good care of our needs and being so welcoming. Also, Chef Ali for accommodating our special Indian vegan meal requests I knew at the time of the booking that there is no beach, there’s a cliff with a deck access to the ocean, and during low tide there is beach access. The breakfast selection for western foods can be expanded and quality improved. An hour and 20 mins drive from the airport was a stretch but then so is Zuri. This is located at the southern most point of Zanzibar

Booked a 3 bed villa. The resort is a hidden gem, beautiful beach fronted villas with private pools. It was an amazing 5 days spent here, kids loved it. My husband and I could relax while the kids just played in the pool. Villa are luxurious and clean.
• sebastien (10/5): 5 star experience in zanzibar - Located in the south, just walking distance to the village for a more authentic experience and activities such as dolphin trip and turtles feeding. The stay in the hotel and the service was a 5 star experience ( and i gave a lot of travel experience). It felt like a retreat.The hotel was very safe nd secured. My kids could safely swim in my private swimming pool while i was able to realy relax . Bedding and bedsheets quality was exceptional. Very quiet surrounding. The GM Mr Arjun was always around and available for the comfort of his guests and was there to assist in any ways he could. The quality of food was excellent and service very fast ( it is not always the case in some other properties) Chef Ali could really adapt to all our needs and special requests. Tout était d’une propreté irréprochable, les espaces sont grands, élégants, et la vue sur la mer est tout simplement magnifique – un vrai tableau vivant du matin au soir. Le restaurant mérite une mention spéciale : chaque plat était délicieux. Le chef est extrêmement doué et surtout très gentil, toujours à l’écoute et prêt à satisfaire nos envies. Un vrai plaisir. Mais ce qui a rendu notre expérience unique, c’est surtout la gentillesse du manager et de toute l’équipe. Ils ont été attentionnés du début à la fin, anticipant nos besoins et faisant tout leur possible pour rendre notre lune de miel exceptionnelle. Leur bienveillance nous a profondément touchés. Cerise sur le gâteau : pour notre dernière nuit, nous avons eu la surprise d’être surclassés dans leur sublime villa avec piscine privée. Un moment magique que nous n’oublierons jamais.
