- LUQMAN (10/5): Overall Experience (5-Star Experience) - Highly recommended if you are visiting Ipoh!! - 1. Check-In (5-Star Experience) The check-in process was smooth and efficient. The front desk staff were friendly, professional, and handled everything promptly without long waiting times. The hotel also features a face recognition system for room check-in, adding a modern and convenient touch to the arrival experience. Guests are also welcomed with a complimentary welcome drink upon arrival, which adds a nice and refreshing touch to the overall check-in experience. The lobby is very spacious, pleasantly scented, and offers plenty of seating areas for guests to relax while waiting to check in creating a welcoming first impression. 2. Room (5-Star Experience) The room was clean, spacious, and well maintained. As this is a relatively new hotel, everything felt fresh, modern, and in excellent condition. The bed was very comfortable, and the amenities provided met expectations. The overall ambiance was relaxing and ideal for rest. 3. Toilet (5-Star Experience) The bathroom was clean and well-kept. Water pressure was good, and hot water was consistently available. A nice modern touch was the Bluetooth-enabled sound system, allowing you to play music while in the bathroom. The toilet was also fully automated, adding extra comfort and a premium feel to the overall experience. 4. Parking (5-Star Experience) Parking facilities were convenient and easily accessible. There was sufficient space, and the area felt safe for leaving vehicles. Valet parking was also available at a reasonable rate of RM30 per day, which added extra convenience. 5. Room Service (5-Star Experience) Room service was prompt and reliable. Food arrived on time, well-presented, and the staff were polite and attentive. 6. Breakfast (3-Star Experience) In my experience compared to other 4-5-star hotels, the breakfast selection here was somewhat limited. In addition, the arrangement of the food and tableware could be improved to create a more organized and pleasant dining experience. While a wide variety is not necessarily required, the hotel could take inspiration from other 5-star establishments to further enhance the overall breakfast presentation and quality. A few practical improvements could also enhance the overall experience. For example, fresh fruits stored in the chiller should not be placed on overly high stands, as this may cause plates to fall when guests are serving themselves. Cereals such as KoKo Crunch could be placed in cylinder style dispensers for easier and more hygienic self service. In addition, it would be good to offer a wider variety of salads to enhance the breakfast selection and provide a healthier and more balanced dining option for guests. For condiments like chili sauce, it would be more convenient to provide them in small individual containers rather than sealed packets that require opening, similar to fast-food restaurants. Hot beverages such as teh tarik or hot water for tea should also be readily available, as they are well aligned with local Malaysian preferences. It would also be a great opportunity to include more local Ipoh dishes to showcase and introduce the city’s unique food culture to guests. Lastly, proper labeling of all food items is important, as some dishes were not clearly labeled, which may cause confusion for guests.

- Lai Kuen (2/5): Substandard 5-star hotel - Hi-tech Comfy beds We stayed in 2 rooms at this hotel and were expecting a 5-star standard. However, we were extremely disappointed. 1. Poor shower heating system - The hot water only lasted a couple of minutes! You need to take a quick shower otherwise the hot water would turn cold. We asked the hotel staff to look into this issue, but she said that nothing she could do and advised us to wait 15 minutes after each shower to allow the water to heat up! 2. Cleaning of bedroom – During check-in, the condition of one of the bedrooms was found unacceptable. The bed linen had not been changed; dirt was found on the duvet and bed sheets. Garbage was left on the floor! Dust on the windowsill. 3. Bathroom facilities – There was no hand soap or liquid hand soap provided. There was no small size tower provided. There was no bathrobe! In one of the bedrooms, a box of paper tissue was provided instead of soft tissue! 4. Poor drainage – The washbasin was clogged. We asked the maintenance person to fix it but he failed. The next morning, we requested the hotel staff to address the issue, but nothing has been done. 5. Poor quality breakfast – The first morning, it was a buffet breakfast. The quality of the food was poor with the exception of the pancake. The fruit was not fresh, some tangerines were rotten as big black spots could be seen. The next morning, there were à la carte options. The quality of the food was better as it was freshly cooked. However, the same lot of rotten tangerines was still there! 6. Poor air conditioner maintenance – Excessive condensation caused water dripping from the aircon vent onto the desk. We requested a hotel maintenance staff to come to fix it, he came and just adjusted the aircon temperature up to 25°C. We requested him to wipe out the water droplets from the vent, but he refused. After repeated requests and complaints, he finally wiped out the water droplets. The party who gave this hotel a 5-star rating should review their rating standard!

- emilin (6/5): good facilities but poor management - high tech facilities the layout of the rooms is inconsistent - even for the same room type. my initial room had an unpleasant odor, and i had to call reception to request a change. at first, they offered an upgrade, but then switched me to another room with a very small window, makin it feel suffocating. when I asked for a different room again, i was given one with a connecting door and the adjacent room was really noisy. it took nearly 1.5 hours to settle into a suitable room. overall, this was not a pleasant experience and the management service needs significant improvement.

Car parking was convenient, and the check-in process was smooth and hassle-free. The hotel features modern, high-tech touches, including face recognition access for both the lift and room. The bathroom was particularly impressive, with a Bluetooth speaker, lighting integrated into the mirror, and a multi-function toilet bowl, adding a touch of luxury and comfort. The rooftop infinity pool was spacious enough and offered a beautiful sky view. We also enjoyed a very nice sunrise from the rooftop. Unfortunately, the rooftop gym was not ready during our stay. Breakfast spread was decent and satisfactory. We had lunch at the hotel as well, and the fish and chips were very good. Getting around Ipoh was very convenient with Grab readily available. We stayed in two connecting Deluxe King rooms, which were cosy, tastefully furnished, and extremely comfortable—so much so that we didn’t feel like leaving the hotel to explore Ipoh! Roof top gym not ready yet.

- Hanis (7/5): Its a great stay! - The cleanliness, the interior, decor, the snacks given in the room and the warmth of the staffs. And also the cafe at the lobby which serves delicious yet cheap pastries. The mattress, the pillow, its too firm. And also lack of the mirror/lighting for makeup purposes.
- Monika (2/5): Zu kleine Zimmer, zu chaotisch im Service. Nicht zu empfehlen! - Die Lage zwischen 2 Hauptstraßen war verkehrstechnisch gut, aber auch sehr laut und viel zu weit weg von der Stadt oder Restaurants. Das kleinste Zimmer mit den unbequemsten Betten der gesamten Reise. Sie waren unfassbar unbequem und bretthart. Es gab nur einen kleinen Schrank (ca 40 cm breit) im Doppelzimmer, nur einen Nachttisch und keinen Platz für Gepäck. Die Tür zum Badezimmer konnte man nicht ganz öffnen, weil zu wenig Platz war. Man musste in die Dusche treten, wenn man zur Toilette wollte. Im Bad gab es auch keine Seife. Wollte man sich die Hände waschen, musste man das Shampoo aus der Dusche nehmen. Als wir den Zimmerservice um ein Stück Seife baten, brachte man uns eine Miniflasche Haarshampoo. Der Balkon war nicht zu betreten, da zu winzig und die Tür nach draussen hatte breite Spalten, durch die Lärm und Hitze eindrangen. Für das ganze Theater, welches man vorher um den Zutritt mit Gesichtserkennung macht, sind die Zimmer einfach unfassbar schlecht durchdacht. Und in zwei Tagen hat man es nicht einmal geschafft, das Zimmer zu reinigen oder die Betten zu machen. Dieses Hotel wird uns niemals wieder sehen.
