- OliT (1/5): A dirty knocking shop AVOID - Leaving It was unsafe dirty and just a place where the worst of society stays, basically a knocking shop, plus no parking when crackheads take up 2 spaces. didnt even stay, left on after I realised the fifth.
- Deakin (8/5): You get what you pay for! Cheap and cheerful - Very helpful and friendly host and great price The windows had handles missing and the doors were a but wobbly but for a cheap hotel it lives up to your expectations
- Thompson (3/5): Wish it was better - The woman on the front desk in the day was so welcoming and was so help guy on the night shit was a complete waste of time no help with anything not welcoming in bar area asked for extra pillow got little sofa scatter pillow To noisy at night for family also girlfriend was pregnant ask for extra pillow got nothing really

- Debra Barker (10/5): - They will do anything to make your stay as good as it possibly can be All was good
- Jack (4/5): Location Great, Size Room great, Management Poor. - The Location was excellent and on first initial thoughts on the room were it's wonderfully spacious. The Mattress was so uncomfortable. You could really feel the springs in it. The shower was pretty old and was in need of a full refurb. Also having neighbours who were making noise till 5am having to ring the owner to come tell them to be quiet consisted then of him telling them I had complained created issues. As someone who works in hotels I found this really shocking and made my stay so uncomfortable. I wont return for this reason unfortunately.
- Mohammad (2/5): Would not come again room wasn’t clean building is old and not looked after - Staff was nice Wasn’t clean
- Kirsty (8/5): -
- Dion (2/5): Nothing like the photos - Distance to pleasure beach Filthy holes in door, cables exposed on thermostat battered fridge and given portable heater as central heating doesn’t work, our original room wasn’t available so given this as an upgrade and it was minging cobwebs every where dusty room. Please save yourself the horrors of staying here and book somewhere else. I wasn’t going to review but they sent me an email asking to🙃
- Rhianna (1/5): - Stayed with my two young children age 4&8. We paid extra for breakfast to be told it would have been free anyway and was continental. Has homeless people placed there who were in the corridors sat on the floor or stood in corridor stinking of cannabis and wee. The people in the room next door was screaming fighting at 11pm the staff did eventually ring the police and they was removed. Around midnight police rang again to remove others from property. We found 2 tablets loose in the room aswell. Very disappointed and killed our mood having a night away from home.

- Osamudiamen (2/5): - The location was the only good thing, The whole passage and reception was smelling of cigarettes, the staff most especially the man in charge of breakfast was so unprofessional, and the ceiling of the room has mould on the ceiling, the bed is the worst bed I have ever slept. The spring in the bed are broken and so bad. Its the worst holiday of my life. My family left broken. They only cleaned the room for one day out.of six days me and my family spent. The radiator in the room (room 2) was full of cobwebs. I complained but nothing was done at all. My worst regret ever.
- Adarsh (9/5): -
- Natasha (4/5): - Man in reception was very polite and helpful upon arrival. Room was cold with no heating. Only one pillow on bed so uncomfortable. No staff to be found after checking in to request more pillows. Very loud shouting and banging from above room which kept us awake
- Stephanie (10/5): Family Friendly Full of Fun - The staff were AMAZING... they went above and beyond to help us. The room was perfect for our needs and being able to park right outside made the break so much easier with our disabled son xx ❤️
We had extra heaters due to there being a storm and the temperature dropping too, so thoughtful.
Breakfast had a good variety and the gentleman was absolutely hilarious.... what an absolute diamond. My eldest has told everyone shes now the ginger whinger haha. There wasnt anything we didnt like.
We will be back xx
- Paul (9/5): Great place , Peter was brilliant at breakfast , comfortable stay -
- Michael (10/5): 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 - Great location to pleasure beach. Staff all sound only downside was bar area closed before 9pm kids was looking forward to playing arcade machines. But still had a great stay.
- Emma (8/5): Excellent location to south pier, warm and comfortable stay, everyone friendly and helpful - Location was good, comfortable and nice place to stay. Nothing at all, really happy with everything
- ademola (5/5): I was there with my family for 2 nights. - The location The bed, mattress feels very uncomfortable I was in pain all through my stays
- Blessing (1/5): The facility needs a serious reform. It’s already in a perfect location but it is not looked after at all. While looking - The property is not clean, it has odour. Difficult to access staff. Staff not polite. Just the location
- Hollie (1/5): -
- Shabaz (3/5): -
- MacDonald (9/5): Absolutely brilliant - The staff are absolutely amazing we couldn't stop laughing the whole time we where the it was visit family.
- Mark (3/5): - First two drawers was so dirty inside drawers I never put anything inside drawers, one small insect pillar was crawling along top cupboard drawer I felt so sick, had to double check around room see any more bugs in room.
- Madhurananda (9/5): Great stay as always - The hotel was perfectly placed and had its own parking spot. The room was small but enough for one person to stay there for one night. They also provided tea, coffee, water and an electric kettle. Everything was clean, nice and tidy. The best value for money hotel in Blackpool. This was my second time in this hotel. With the price in mind, I think there isn't much not to like about.
- Divya (5/5): - Location Shower not working properly,
- carla (10/5): -
- Jelena (1/5): Never ever again!!! - Very bad! Everything bad!!
- Catherine (1/5): - The location & parking The hotel seemed to have alot of people staying there who were just out of prison on tag, people there off the streets, there was no staff around at night when we wanted to complain about the noise of the people in the next room , we stayed last year and it was ok hence why we came back , unfortunately we felt like we was in the middle of a hostel so will not be returning
- Saadia (5/5): - The beds were comfy and the receptionist were very polite The WiFi
- kevin (9/5): Love the big room kids enjoyed the stay - Size of the room Was happy with the stay

Good Size Room . My Bed Was Comfortable & Clean . Plenty Of Tea & Some Hot Chocolate. Enjoyed My Stay ... Everything Was Good ...
Good Value For Money 😊
- Perenc (8/5): - We arrived at 10am in the morning because we were going to Blackpool Pleasure Beach. It was not a problem to leave the car in the parking lot in front of the hotel. We checked in in the evening. Very nice place. Rooms clean and tidy. Large TV. Coffee and tea set. Free parking in front of the hotel. Continental breakfast available. The staff is very nice and helpful. An extra chair in the room would be useful. And maybe evening lighting.
- Chris (2/5): Decent if you get one of the better rooms - I've booked a few times before and its been good. I like the fact the staff are nice. Letting me check in early. Comfortable beds On arrival the original room wasn't cleaned so was moved to different room. Walked in to the room it was freezing. Staff brought a oil filled radiator. Went to turn electric radiators on 1 worked plugged oil radiator in and it wouldn't go on. Moved it to the opposite side of the room and it come on. Found out half the room sockets didn't work. Having a 2 year old in the room with it being that cold was ridiculous. The window pushed shut couldn't lock it anyone could have opened it from the outside.
- Paul (10/5): All good - All good All good
- christian (8/5): -
- Sheila (10/5): -
- Mccormick (6/5): - Location Lifts didn't go to top floors
- Karl (8/5): - Free parking, near Pleasure beach
- Sophie (10/5): - Friendly staff and very accommodating
- Kim (10/5): - The bedroom was very clean and bathroom. The staff couldn't do enough for you. For a budget hotel it was well worth the money.
- Raymond (9/5): Good - Clean room good shower
- Jay77tkd (5/5): Simple accomodation and worth the money.... Just could do with a bit more cleaner first image - Good Noise of others staying over early hours of the morning
- Abbey (8/5): Great - Everything Beds were slighty uncomfortable but done the job for the night:)
- Nathan (8/5): -
- Jamie (9/5): Great value for - Staff were very welcoming and spoke to me multiple times as I was in and out to make sure I was ok with everything. Helpful on arrival. Excellent value for money for a quick one night stay. It’s just a bit run down, the room could do with some tlc, even the wall was only half painted. Someone also entered my room to check if a leak downstairs was coming from my room, which I found rude not to knock but an ideal place to get your head down for a night at a cheap price. Wouldn’t stay longer than a night.
- Sarah (10/5): Fantastic will definitely be back - Amazing very clean accommodating friendly staff lovely room There was nothing I didn’t like
- Robin (10/5): - The Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. They were so nice to my children giving them sweets bottles of water. The kids were late for breakfast by quite a bit but it wasn’t a problem. Lovely lovely people.
- carol (8/5): Great value for money, staff are lovely with easy access to local attractions - Great little break away. Staff were lovely and very welcoming. The hotel is perfectly situated for easy walking access to the seafront and pleasure beach. We included breakfast which was continental, lots of choice and relaxing environment, staff again very helpful, ensuring we had everything needed. The family games room and bar area is an added bonus. Also on our last day after checking out we were able to leave our car on site so we could have some fun on the pleasure beach before going home. Overall very happy with our stay and will definitely be back. Thank you to all at Henson Hotel!!!

- Sian (9/5): Lovely staff, great location - would stay again - - staff were fantastic
- great location
- comfy bed
- nice and quiet in room
-parking available - could have done with a bed side lamp, we had the big light and nothing else so ended up with the bathroom light on and door ajar
- tv remote missing!
- Allan (3/5): Wont be returning - Toast, Crumpets and coffee for breakfast and parking. Staff pleasant. Although the bed and towels were clean the room and hotel look like they need a deep clean. Pigeons nested next to room woke us at 6. Holes in ceiling filled with blue tissue paper. Coffee stains on wall. Toilet been changed but hole still there. Building work going on stuff left laying about. Just generally grubby feel to the place.
- Jane (8/5): We enjoyed our stay and will go back. - Comfortable beds , lovely clean linen and towels.
Nice bar , lovely breakfast room.
Great staff . Peter is so helpful and friendly , great guy.
Leah was very friendly and helpful too.
The young guy who is a cleaner lent us a USB plug as we forgot to take ours with us . The bathroom door wouldn’t close and no privacy blind up at the window behind the toilet.
- Thomas (9/5): Great price and location - Great location, fantastic price and helpful staff. All good, no complaint for the price.
- Lucy (10/5): Pleasant - Very well situated, quiet and great for children our room was very well situated / clean and comfortable beds no concerns around cleaners. Great for SEN children too lots too do plenty off machines too play with…
Breakfast was great too continental perfect for the kids too start the day.
Very helpful pleasant staff, thank you for our stay —-
- Portland (10/5): -
- Brian (10/5): - Staff and bedroom was fantastic
- Jerl (9/5): - Helpful and friendly staff couldn't do enough for me.
- Turner (7/5): - Staff went above & behond to support our bad night with bad neighbours Kept up all night with drunken neighbours
- Paul (10/5): - Good Goog
- MaxineLL14 (5/5): Needs some TLC - The lady on reception was nice
There were plenty of toilet rolls, coffee, milk and sugar. Also 2 sachets of hot choc and 2 bottles of water which was good.
Two bottles of handwash provided on the sink and shower gel provided in the shower, this was helpful.
TV in room.
Clean room, clean sheets and smelt clean too. However workmen were in the building painting so the smell of paint was extremely strong.
Free Parking onsite, but it was quiet. Not sure there would be enough spaces in high season though?
Good location, next to the pleasure beach and attractions and not far walk to the tram. The room was cold, but the bathroom was freezing as it disn't have a radiator in there, so not great to shower and step out into a freezer! I did mention it to the lady on reception and considering the temperature outside hit 1.5° the heating was only on twice during the day when you didnt need it on as you weren't in and as the flooring was vinyl, it was even more cold, maybe some small rugs would help.
Heaters should have been provided in rooms or at the least, a large blanket for the bed.
Although plenty of coffee and teabags, decaf would have also been appreciated.
A small lamp in the room would be good as the main light is so bright.
Someone was banging on the doors and windows at 1.30/2am waking me up from sleep, someone on the same floor as us made a lot of noise, banging their door and going down to see what was happening, I'm assuming it was staff?
Only 2 small towels given to shower and use as hand towels, would be good to have hand towel and bath towel each person.
Bed wasn't very comfortable, a mattress topper would be a bonus.
No hairdryer.
I would recommend an extractor fan for the bathroom as it had a lot of condensation on the windows in their and also the bedroom, which can cause mould and breathing problems.
Overall, the hotel needs a really good budget spent on it. It looks better on the outside than the inside! The painters need to use masking tape as they seemed to paint everything! Light switches, picture frames, mirrors etc. Lol And the ceilings looked a little worrying, like they could come down at any moment! For the price we paid though, I understood I wouldnt get luxury...however, I would not pay the prices in the high season!
It's a shame because it could be amazing, needs some TLC. Just spend a little time painting properly, filling holes, putting cheap pictures up to cover cracks etc.
I wish them well x

- Mills (1/5): Absolutely terrible the hotel is a mess very bad needs more then work doing the woma was nice at counter but the man was - Nothing it was very terrible Everything it’s a mess mould around the windows all wee on the seat the man who’s at the counter is abusive won’t be staying again
- Mills (1/5): -
- Lyndsey (6/5): - Good location Room was dirty and there was punch marks in the doors , towels had brown stains on and loads of black bits in the bed
- Anthony (10/5): The hotel was spot on and the staff were great - Everything we both had a great stay at Henson hotel There was nothing we did like about it
- sadie (7/5): -
- Shabaz (5/5): -
- -Marie (8/5): Good two days - •very good staff so helpful
- Tracy (3/5): Run down - Good location, right opposite the pleasure beach This is stated as a 3 star hotel. Not sure how the ratings are worked out but I wouldn't give it 3 stars. Very shoddy place. Staff were very nice ,as was the owner. It absolutely needs a complete overhaul. Also expected a cooked breakfast to be honest. It was basically toast/crumpets and cereal . Was also very cold in the room. Radiators present but weren't on. There was however an electric heater which I immediately switched on. I actually went to bed in a hoodie! We had to move to another room as the shower didn't work, which was a pain. There was also nowhere to do my makeup and no mirror. Luckily I always take a travel mirror. The "restaurant"looks like an old Indian restaurant. Overall I would avoid !!
- Shabaz (5/5): -
- Sophie (7/5): Had a great two night stay here over the Weekend. The lady working there named Shelly couldn’t have done enough for us. - Great location. Very close to sandcastles & pleasure beach. I didn’t like the lay out of the property. Rooms didn’t really make sense darted all over.
- Carole (5/5): Very reasonable price - Location Dated and a very uncomfortable bed
