• gillian (4/5): Not great - Lovely old building Concrete rooms, no softness. No bed for dog so given a couple of small thin blankets to make a bed. Asked to buy a couple of coffees in the morning, told we had to pay for a full breakfast and couldnt just get coffees. Really horrible location, by a park that was full of drunks and drug dealers, really loud with window open for fresh air at night.

• sophie (8/5): - Hôtel magnifique et personnel à l'accueil très sympathique. Emplacement central. Malheureux incident au petit déjeuné où l'on nous informe la veille qu'il ferme à 10h : de par mon expérience dans ce genre d'établissement, j'ai compris que nous pouvions arriver jusqu'à 10h, et non que nous devions être partis à 10h. Quoiqu'il en soit, bien que nous ayons pu nous servir en 5min, le personnel n'a fait aucun cas de notre présence et a tout débarrassé, en partageant leurs vies intimes et anecdotes comme si nous n'étions pas là. L'une des personnes en charge nous a bien fait sentir que nous gênions ses activités. Nous nous sommes sentis très peu considérés et invités de façon pressante à quitter les lieux. Une expérience assez désagréable en soit, et à laquelle on ne s'attend pas dans un hôtel 4 étoiles. Toutefois, nous avons signalé l'incident à l'accueil et heureusement, le personnel s'est montré charmant et accommodant, à la hauteur des exigences d'un bel hôtel comme La Zoologie. Sans cet incident, tout aurait été parfait.

Das Hotel sollte sich noch mehr auf Fahrradurlauber (auch mit E-Bikes und dem Bedarf der Akkuladung) einrichten. Aber das Personal hat die Problematik gut gelöst.

• Deborah (9/5): Très agréable - La situation géographique est idéale et la chambre très spacieuse et fonctionnelle. Nous avons apprécié la qualité des produits échantillons offerts. Le lit est très confortable, la chambre est bien insonorisée c’est vraiment appréciable. Le petit déjeuner était moins bien que ce que je pensais. Beaucoup de choses industrielles (crêpes, pasteis de nata, Madeleines), une seule machine à café ne fonctionnait et il n’y avait que du café noir (pas de cappuccino). J’ai trouvé cela étonnant. La douche est très moderne mais ouverte sur la chambre : risque de mettre de l’eau partout, miroir juste en face, format qui correspond donc davantage à un couple. J’ajoute que les rideaux ne sont pas très opaques et que le jour nous a réveillé tôt le matin.

The bar was nice and the breakfast was amazing. The location was great for the station. But the area was otherwise a bit edgy and not that close to the centre. But the tram was not too far away.

Le SPA largement est correct et pratique. Quelques usures : ampoules, peintures écaillées et robinetteries. Cela mériterait un check-up avant l'arrivée dans les chambres.

Ze wisten precies in welke kamer we logeerden, ze vroegen ook hoe onze dag geweest was, ze hielpen ook echt indien we een vraag hadden. De inrichting van het hotel is heel mooi, anders op een goede manier. Veel ruimte, veel licht, mooie materialen en doordachte oplossingen. De kleine wellness is top, goed om even te ontspannen en even de drukte van de stad achter je te laten. wat uitleg hoe de lichten werken in de kamer, dat hebben we zelf uitgepuzzeld. Maar eens we het systeem hadden begrepen, geen probleem meer.

• Juste (9/5): - Hotel Zoologie is a beautiful hotel with stunning gardens in the interior courtyard and patio. The "comfort double" room was large and comfortable with a beautiful balcony view of the gardens. My friend joined me for 2 nights and we enjoyed the spa after hours to relax our muscles after walking all day. The breakfasts included a wonderful selection of breads, pastries, charcuterie and cheeses, fresh juices and coffee. The geology room we stayed in is designed with metal and concrete finishes, which can be noisy.

• Seni (9/5): Great hotel in Bordeaux spa availability challenging - Great place unique, good bar and very good rooms. Staff very friendly and helpful. Have to book early to get into the spa otherwise will miss out. Location is a little away from the centre - 15-29’mins walk
• deleggi (8/5): A beautiful, quirky hotel in a magnificent building. - Location was good, the room was a good size and the b d was very comfortable. There were a few things that could have made our stay better. For the price of this hotel I would have expected a better standard. The room was cool - in temperature terms. It was difficult to increase the temperature to take it from cool to warm. The toilet flushing system as quirky, however it was very severe and water came out from the toilet bowl over the seat and onto the floor every time it was flushed. There was a bedside light which we could not return leg overnight. We were a couple of friends sharing a room. There is an open shower and separate sink actually in the bedroom section. While this may be ok for couples, there was a distinct lack of privacy for sharing with friends. Maybe a wall or screen would have been appropriate. Even for couples, sometime a little privacy is required.
