The shared toilette are very dirty or not working and the beds and everything were dirty a bit.

Abdelalim (10/5): - I had a wonderful stay at Palm Hostel in Marrakech. The atmosphere was warm, friendly, and welcoming from the moment I arrived. The staff were incredibly kind and always ready to help with recommendations and anything I needed. The hostel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore the Medina and all the beautiful sights of Marrakech. I especially enjoyed the social vibe—it was easy to meet other travelers from around the world. I highly recommend Palm Hostel to anyone visiting Marrakech. Great value, amazing hospitality, and an unforgettable experience. I would definitely stay here again!

Mohamed (1/5): Awful Stay for 1 night! - It's only cheap, but it is worse than you might expect. Everything was aweful. A quick glance of what you will see: - The bed linens have clear stains. - The beds were absolutely uncomfortable. - The room was too small. - There was no wardrobe in the room. - The bathroom was too dirty to be used. - When it rains outside, you will find a pool has been created in the reception area from the rain drops.
Pia (2/5): Zimmer anders wie auf den Bildern dargestellt (Scam) - Für etwas Privatsphäre haben wir die „Familiensuite“ gebucht, Privatsphäre war aber nicht gegeben, außerdem sah das Zimmer anders aus wie im Internet, es war komplett leer geräumt bis auf das Bett und einen Stuhl. Privatsphäre gab es deswegen nicht, weil das Zimmer Fenster zum Innenhof mit der Rezeption, Küche und den Aufenthaltsbereichen hat, somit ist es auch im Zimmer immer hell, wenn jemand in einem dieser Räume das Licht an macht (Vorhänge gibt es nicht), außerdem hört man jede Unterhaltung aus der Rezeption. Das Bad ist echt eklig und der Boden der Küche klebt. Für den Preis okay, aber wir hätten uns zumindest Vorhänge an den Fenstern gewünscht und, dass unser Zimmer nicht leer geräumt sondern wie auf den Bildern im Internet aussieht, denn dafür haben wir ja schließlich einen Aufpreis gezahlt. Bisschen ein Scam. Wir sind nach einer Nacht wieder gefahren, da wir krank waren und nicht gut geschlafen haben.

Erik Anderson (10/5): Good Value Hostel - The location was so nice and quiet, away from the insanity of the Medina (yet still able to walk pretty much anywhere in the city). The room was fairly quiet, and we found the other guests friendly and the atmosphere positive. There is a nice little kitchen where we cooked a lot of our meals. Breakfasts were incredible value for the price. The staff were very helpful in finding our way around. A lot of local restaurants were closed during Ramadan, so we needed some alternatives to our normal mode of travel, and the staff helped a lot. They answered all sorts of questions about the area, and about nearby hiking trails, day excursions, and helped us plan our schedule. Overall, it was great value for the price. The place was a little hard to find, as the new owners didn't have the sign up yet, but we found it using Google Maps without too much hassle. The place will look really nice once the new owners have had a chance to fix everything up. We are looking forward to seeing how it all comes together.

La verdad anduvo super bien respecto al precio. Me gustó la ubicación porque no quería estar cerca de la medina. La cama que me tocó no era cómoda. Faltaba limpieza, especialmente en la cocina y baños.

Nicolas (1/5): Maldita locura - Nada Compartí cama con un loco que a media noche se dedicaba a gritar a los que roncaban, cogía botellas de plástico y se las tiraba a la cama y en ocasiones les golpeaba, se ponía a tirarse pedos y eructos y a hablar solo, fue una maldita locura. Después me encontré el lavamanos todo lleno de orina, el inodoro todo orinado por la taza y la cubierta y tampoco funcionaban muy bien las cañerías ya que apestaban a excrementos muy fuertemente Por otro lado en ocasiones vi al personal vistiendo en pasamontañas con la cara tapada y capucha lo que daba la sensación de que me estaba metiendo en algún lugar ilícito además de intimidante El último día decidí dormir en el aeropuerto por que consideré que iba a pasar mejor noche, y así fue, con eso ya os lo digo todo Para colmo el local ni si quiera sale en Google Maps lo que hace que de todavía más mala espina todo.

Quando siamo arrivati ci è stato detto che un' altra coppia aveva prolungato il loro soggiorno e che quindi aveva preso la nostra camera. I titolari si sono offerti di darci una nuova sistemazione ma abbiamo dovuto pagare noi il trasferimento ed inoltre la camera aveva l'armadio occupato con indumenti di altre persone. Le lenzuola non erano pulite. Non avevamo il bagno privato.

Magnolia (1/5): nous n’avons pas dormir là bas - Le personnel était très agréable. Nous sommes arrivées au Riad à minuit, la chambre n’était pas prête. Nous avons ensuite récupéré une chambre sale dans laquelle les draps n’avaient même pas été changés. Nous sommes finalement parti dans un hôtel à côté car ce n’était pas possible de dormir dans cet état. C’est la première fois que j’écris un commentaire sur Booking mais c’était surréaliste.

Derenne (4/5): je ne recommande pas, le gérant est un arnaqueur - J’avais réservé une chambre privée lit double mais quand je suis arrivée on m’a dit qu’elle était déjà prise. On m’a donc proposé un lit simple en dortoir femme. L’écart de prix était de 10€ et le gérant n’a pas du tout été arrangeant. Il m’a proposé des goodies aux couleurs du maroc… Franchement, ce n’était pas très grave comme erreur mais la gestion après était vraiment très décevante. J’ai perdu de l’argent… De plus le riad est très bruyant

Rifert (3/5): - Es lag ein wenig ausserhalb der Medina.. schöne Spaziergänge möglich.. nette Nachbarschaft.. viele Cafes. Netter Markt in der Seitenstrasse Riad sehr unruhig. Erholung und Ruhe nach anstrengenden Touren nicht möglich. Nachts und auch nach 23.00 wenn Ruhe und licht aus Zeit ist wird und noch laut diskutiert. Der Schall zieht durchs ganze Riad und es ist zu laut tum Ruhen. Zimmer nur mit Bett und einen Kleiderständer... alles klamm und feucht und daher auch kalt. REZEPTION seltens besetzt..

I followed google to the wrong hostel (same name) So started to think this one wrong as well until two girls turned up and booked me in. Room had window to inner courtyard. no curtain which let light in disturbing sleep. No towel supplied. There is a fee for wifi and breakfast.
Diana (6/5): Budget hostel completely outside of the Medina madness. - Owner is Chinese Canadian so speaks English perfectly (and maybe Mandarin?) and is happy to chat. His wife is Moroccan and also speaks perfect English. This makes communication very easy as an English speaker. If you have a rental car, its easy to park right in front of the building. Owners have a lot of local knowledge and tips if you need them. Also, you are surrounded by non-touristic life and restaurants which is quite nice. It takes a while (45 minutes walking quickly) to get to the Jemaa El Fnaa (main square) and at least 20 to get into the part of the medina with shops and food. The actual room and hostel looks much more rundown than the glossy pics online. The price is on par for what it is though, a budget hostel. Also, there is no rooftop terrace :(
mouslim (1/5): Run away - Nothing was meeting the bare minimum hospitality standards I was giving a dirty bed with a lot of hair, no bed sheets for the cover and when I asked for one and also a towel I was given half wet bed sheets and towel.

macarena (3/5): Horrible - Lo único agradable fueron las personas que me recibieron. El lugar es realmente muy feo. Dormí en una habitación con camas pegadas, una al lado de la otra, sin espacio para equipaje ni enchufes suficientes. Los baños están sucios y viejos, ni papel higiénico tenían. Nunca conocí al personal del hostel, me recibieron otras personas que vivían allí. La zona no es agradable y está lejos de los puntos de interés de la ciudad.

Torres (1/5): I don’t recommend it - We booked the hostel by booking, we let ourselves be carried away by the photos but when we arrived we found something else. We were received by a new owner, very friendly, he told us that they had bought the hotel recently and that there were some things that they still had to solve, with my partner we understood it. However, when I entered the room it was dirty, it had hair on the bed, the sheet was stained with a shoe print, the towels were wet. 😩The host's indication was not to drink alcohol or smoke, however, in the common areas and in the rooms there were people drinking alcohol and smoking inside the room😬. The bathroom left a lot to be desired, very little hygiene. We booked 3 nights, and we slept only 1. We left the next day. I don't recommend it, there are better options, they have many aspects to improve

Ossama (4/5): - The staff are very nice and helpful, especially the older woman who lives there and an African girl both very kind. The rest of the staff were also friendly and welcoming. Overall, the staff attitude was good. Earlier, I told one of the staff (the Asian-looking guy at reception) that I would be sleeping on the top bunk in the corner of the dorm, so they knew which bed I would use. But when I came back at night, there was no pillow on my bed while everyone else had one. I asked for a pillow and was given a very big, hard sofa cushion, which was uncomfortable to sleep on. The next morning, I saw that there were normal small pillows available on the sofa, so I didn’t understand why I wasn’t given one. I also sent a message through Booking but didn’t get any reply. I had to use my clothes as a pillow just so my head wasn’t flat on the bed, and I didn’t sleep well at all. Also, people were talking loudly and on their phones in the dormitory around midnight. I don’t really blame the guests, but usually staff remind people to keep quiet in dorm rooms at night. Because of this and the pillow issue, I had a bad sleep and regretted staying, even though the staff were kind otherwise.

Tania (4/5): Necesita mucho trabajo - Nuestra habitación era relativamente amplia y la cama era cómoda. La ubicación estaba algo lejos de la medina pero era tranquila, con locales cerca para comer o comprar de todo muy barato. La mujer que viene a limpiar era muy muy agradable y hacía lo que podía. Los huéspedes que allí vivían eran majos y ayudaban en todo, más que los propios dueños. Me dejaron usar un secador de pelo que había en recepción. El lugar cambió de gerencia durante nuestra estancia y había bastante caos en general. Estuvieron moviendo a gente de habitaciones, había overbooking y hubo gente que tuvo que dormir en el patio de recepción algunas noches. Los precios subieron con la nueva gerencia pero afortunadamente a nosotros no nos afectó porque lo teníamos todo pagado. Las instalaciones estaban MUY deterioradas. Faltaba mantenimiento por todas partes: grifos que perdían agua, suelos encharcados, agua caliente sólo en algunos baños, falta de papel higiénico, la cocina era un desastre, el fregadero perdía agua, no había gas para cocinar. Con la nueva gerencia empezaron a pintar la entrada sin avisar y al ser muy estrecha nos manchamos la ropa al entrar, el sitio era muy muy frío, para estar en la habitación teníamos que estar bajo las mantas, las sábanas no se sentían limpias y el nórdico tenía manchas por todas partes, al igual que las paredes. Había habitaciones con ventanas rotas y puertas que no cerraban, un desastre. Para el precio que pagamos, no estaba del todo "mal" pero ahora que subieron los precios por noche, no lo recomendaría a no ser que cierren durante un tiempo para arreglar todos los problemas y darle un mantenimiento fuerte a todo.

Mohamed (1/5): - J'ai aimé l'emplacement, le jeune homme à la réception est souriant. Je n'ai malheureusement pas été satisfait de la propreté des lieux. La couette était visiblement sale et les draps portaient encore des traces de cheveux. Une mauvaise odeur persistait dans la chambre, qui était par ailleurs trop froide. La salle de bain nécessiterait également un nettoyage plus approfondi. Je ne recommanderais pas cet hébergement dans l'état.

Justyna (6/5): - Kod dostępu sprawił że można wejść nawet gdy nie ma personelu. Personel gdy się pojawił był uprzejmy. Brakowało jednak osoby dbającej o czystość wspólnych przestrzeni. Pokój gdzie spałam i pościel były czyste. Łazienki były brudne a brak zasad dotyczących palenia sprawiał że wszędzie były popielniczki i pety.

Grzegorz (4/5): W zasadzie nie polecam - Umiejscowienie. Pościel z włosami i plamami (raczej nie wymieniana po poprzednim lokatorze), Kuchnia bardzo brudna i zaniedbana. Łazienki zniszczone i bez cieplej wody (rano), Głośne rozmowy przed drzwiami. Żarówki w pokoju o białym jasnym i sterylnym kolorze. W połączeniu z pokojem bez okna, katastrofa.

Martin (5/5): Pokud se jdete jen vyspat, tak fajn misto - Ubytování má hodně mezer ale pro ty, kteří chtějí levné ubytování a vlastní pokoj, tak si myslim že se to dá. Špinavé, ve sprše chyběla sprchová hadice. Je to dál od centra, takže pokud nechcete chodit, tak je asi i lepší volba.

Hannah (8/5): Simple but comfortable stay in a friendly riad. - We really enjoyed our stay at Daoudiate Courtyard. It's a basic place to stay but comfortable and great if you're on a budget like we are. The room we stayed in was large and clean with a window looking onto the courtyard. We also enjoyed the use of the kitchen and a washing machine and it's a short walk to the medina and other local shops. Above all the staff were friendly and helpful making the place feel more like a home than a hostel. The internet can be a bit patchy if you need to work.

Latxague (8/5): Bonne ambiance roots! - Prix imbattable, accueil chaleureux, espace commun convivial. Il est situé tout près du jardin Majorelle mais à plus de 40 minutes de la place Jema El'Fna, ce qui fait long le soir, surtout que les quartiers traversés au nord de la médina sont peu rassurants à la nuit tombée. Les chambres sont bien équipées et assez grandes, la salle de bain est roots mais il y a de l'eau chaude. Les gens sont sympathiques, la journée. Des bro américains qui fument du haschich et rigolent bêtement toute la nuit en discutant sur le palier de notre porte, insupportables! En plus nous avions la chambre à côté de la cuisine collective et ça résonne dans tout le patio. Gardez à l'esprit que c'est une auberge de jeunesse pas chère donc les clients vont avec.

Ce que j'ai vu correspond exactement à ce que je m'attendait. La propreté était assurée correctement; la présence d'eau chaude pour les toilettes était intéressante pour moi. Comme petite tâche, c'est le faite de patienter quelques instants à l'arrivé pour attendre le gérant afin qu'il puisse m'intégrer dans la chambre alors que j'étais tellement épuisé du voyage et que j'avais besoin de me coucher immédiatement. si non une fois intégré dans la chambre tout était parfait.
