Scrinzi (8/5): - Our stay at Porthminster Terrace was very good, we felt comfortable. The location was good for exploring St Ives on foot.
Linzy (3/5): Not what I expected . - On arrival, it seemed clean. When it heated up it smelled like wet dog. The skirtings and door frames need a good clean. The showers have mould around all edging and in corners of doors. There was no extra towels or bedding and stayed for 12 days which many having to wash and dry on same day. Washing machine kept cutting out and glasses in cupboard were dirty. Good cleaning supplies left and was lovely that either company or previous guests left aliens for beach. All other properties we’ve stayed in past 5 years have left a welcome pack and a bottle of fizzy wine:Brit. This one left a singular pint of milk in fridge and a pkt of biscuits, which were lovely. Sea view was non existent unless you stood on your toes and press your face out of smallest window in the flat (side window. ) Our balcony view was onto a car park. Neighbours were ridiculously noisy. Upstairs most nights and a party of 6 men the last few nights. No one used parking spaces and spent half the time blocked in knocking on peoples doors. Honestly not a complainer , just usually call it an experience but this was a lot. I feel like it was a waste of money . I was expecting evenings on the porch with a sea view and sunset watching. Sadly disappointed. Dealing with company were very polite previous to arrival so can’t fault that and had a message about checking in early if we wanted to. See above as combined both good and bad. My husband unwell too and the hill nearly killed him, He be needing in and out of car daily.
