Jaime (10/5): Hotel con encanto enfrente de la playa - La ubicación y el entorno. La atención del personal. Estado de las instalaciones muy bueno. Habitaciones amplias y con excelentes vistas. Parking gratuito cercano a 2 minutos. Contactan contigo para facilitarte el código de acceso a la habitación y zonas comunes. Es típico de este tipo de alojamientos con encanto, pero se debe tener en cuenta que para subir a las habitaciones en piso alto no hay ascensor.

Mary (10/5): Lovely hotel in a great location - We stayed at The Cove for three nights this week. First, to state what others have said, it is keyless check-in. Although, when we checked in, Grace (?) was there to help in any way we needed until 8:00 pm. Honestly, the process is easy and seamless, and didn't bother us. The hotel is lovely and across from a beach and there is ample parking. We had a room with a private balcony on the 3rd floor that was very comfortable. Enough space, with a very nice bathroom. We don't spend a ton of time in the room as we enjoy being out and about. We heard some voices at times, but overall, it was very quiet and they do have quiet hours. There is no elevator, so if you have heavy bags, it could be a bit of a workout, as the hallways are narrow. All manageable. They offer cold beverages, snack, oatmeal, and coffee in the lobby area. There is also a coffee machine and fridge in the room. All in all, we would stay here again, and recommend it. HIGHLIGHTS: - Easy walk to Bearsneck with lots of lovely shops, restaurants, galleries (many closed as it is off season or open later in the week, but we found plenty to do) - Lunch at My Place by the Sea - Dinner at the 1606 Restaurant & Oyster Bar at Beauport - Breakfast at Delisi's Red Skiff - Halibut Point State Park - absolutely gorgeous

It was a bit of a challenge getting our luggage up the narrow stairway to the top floor, but later found an alternative entry with a wider and less steep stairway. The directions to the room would have been better if they'd indicated that route.

Room 301 had a door that opens up to a hallway, but anyone can unlock the door from the hallway by twisting the door lock handle. The lock should be controlled from inside the room not in the hallway.

Bed was comfortable It is kind of weird that there is nobody that you officially check in with. You get a text message with a code for the door and thats it.. I do have to say that the size of the room was a little disappointing
Sam (8/5): Beautiful stay in Rockport - We stayed in the lower room overlooking the sea. Our door opened onto the decking with the best ever view. Everything was perfect - except for the fact there was ongoing construction work, which carried on until last 9:00 in the evening. We were only there for two nights and the lady who checked us in was wonderful. However. The lady who was on duty the following day was extremely sullen and rude. The room itself was absolutely beautiful though, and the chillout area with free snacks and muffins was a great addiction. Construction work past 9:00pm

Carsten (9/5): tolles Ambiente mit Schaukelstuhl auf der Veranda und Blick auf die Bucht. Ein toller kleiner Ort - Es gab Snaks beim Frühstück, Saft und auch Bananen und Mandarinen. Wenn man in den USA unterwegs ist, weiß man, daß Frühstück nirgendwo ein Highlight ist :-) Hatten leider gegen 1:00 Uhr einen Feueralam, da mussten alle Gäste raus- die Polizei und Feuerwehr prüften dann alles- bis sich herausstellte, das es ein Fehlalarm war. Alles in allem dauerte das eine Stunde. Das hat natürlich nichts mit dem Hotel zu tun, aber es hat halt nicht gefallen :-)

The unit is nice and spacious and mostly clean but the furniture is dirty. The kitchen is not well stocked. The bathroom has a nice bathtub but there’s a note that says you need to wait 45-60 minutes between showers for hot water. We booked for 3 adults. The pull out “bed” was ridiculous. It’ll fit a very dmall child so we had to all sleep on the solo king size bed. Fortunately it was a large king but still!

For instance noise, visual impact, site toilet very close to front door of apartment. Opened front door one morning to find a contractor sat on one of the apartment chairs on the balcony. Bar facility was not available Limited kitchen equipment. No kettle. Noisy fridge and dishwasher No washing machine No specific beach towels Property overlooked from neighbour’s balcony More seating needed in lounge Spiral staircase could limit use for some guests

Denise (10/5): Amazing! - The room was immaculate. We had room 10 so it was a beautiful ocean view. We had a little trouble getting the heater on as it was a chilly night and Grace kindly came up to our room and even emailed the manager to assist us. She even offered to bring us blankets or find a space heater if there was one available eventually turned on, and I called to let her know, but thank her for her amazing customer service! I also texted with Erika before my visit and she was extremely accommodating as well. I thought the clubroom was lovely and appreciated the fruit and the coffee available. Also, it’s walking distance to the theater and restaurants would definitely stay again! Nothing!

Cute room with a King bed, great view of the beach across the street, and a nice balcony. The contactless access was very simple. The lounge downstairs was nice. (Need to restock the fridge down there though.). Easy, free parking. We didn’t mind there was no front desk. Good communication via text. Would love to stay again. Nothing we didn’t like. However, we were traveling light so no problem getting from the parking lot and up the stairs. But if you have a lot of bags it could be more of an adventure. Room 11 was awesome. other rooms might have less privacy.

The hotel is by far the cleanest we’ve stayed in years! Staff member that helped several couples find their rooms was lovely. Supplies were easily available. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. The parking lot had lots of spaces ( in September). The hotel is not attached to the parking. You need to wheel/carry all your possessions down the street, past Frescos, around the corner and (in our case #8) up an extremely narrow, set of indoor stairs. The room was small, but we’ll appointed. The ocean view (which was why I chose this hotel) was stunning. You should be aware that unless you are ok with people walking by your room on the deck and being able to view you and your surroundings then you’ll have to keep the curtains closed at all times. The windows open, but then you would be on view for all to see. There’s NO access to your deck from your room. At least one room requires walking past our window to exit and enter their room. The bathroom is small with no real space to put anything while you wash up. The shower was clean, but you do need to step over the bathtub to enter/exit. If you’re at all wobbly, there’s nothing to hold onto if you slip ( not even the soap dish). The toilet is next to the window where people going up and down a set of stairs can look in ( there are blinds).

Rae (9/5): A very nice one day stay. - Room was small but very well maintained and decorated. Bathroom was updated. Lots of nice small touches. I liked having the deck right outside, looking at the ocean across the street. Ate my dinner out there. Liked the small restaurant right next door. I chose a room on the first floor but wished I hadn’t as I would have loved to sleep with the windows open - the weather was beautiful. My room opened directly onto the lower deck. I also would have liked to have front reception, to see staff. They offered to help in anyway but all done through email etc. There was a guest living room area but I didn’t explore it. It just felt strange not having anyone greet you.

Pamela (8/5): fabulous location and great deck - Having stayed here before new ownership (Peg Lag Inn), the change is remarkable. The location is perfect, the deck is the best way to unwind after a delightful day and the rooms are so much better that before and meticulously clean, My only concern is the impersonal touch. Erica was always responsive and very helpful, but is she real or AI generated? I had no idea if I was the only person in the entire inn. My room was easily accessible, however it was behind a hedge and I felt a bit vulnerable. I saw one lawn keeper and on Thursday, a group assembled for drinks on the deck then all disappeared. I get the need for efficiency, but the lack of any human contact was a little surprising. That said, now knowing what to expect I would stay there again. See above

Maarten (9/5): Superb - This establishment does not have any reception no personal contact. You get access to the room pinning in a code to the door. The code was sent via e mail (which went to Spam). Not my preference, otherwise the property was excellent.
Anna (9/5): Charming place to stay and Enjoy Rockport! - Great location to walk to dinner and the Shalin Lui theater, lots of galleries and shops on the main street; VERY clean rooms, nice decor- ocean view, beach right across the street; park right next door good for kids; free parking is just a little walk away; deck/patio area where they serve drinks some afternoons, great for one or two nites or longer if you intend to do a beach stay;common area space very nice, have complimentary coffee, water and some fruit. Also some history to the place. Some people may not like self check-in, and that no staff really seems to be around; but it was actually pretty seamless, and we didn't have any problems; just make sure you open and read all the information on the link that is e-mailed after you book. Would be nice if they could get some workout equipment in the common area.

Rebekah (10/5): Best hotel stay I've ever had. - I saw the hotel a couple years before booking and wanted to stay there because of the close proximity to Front Beach and Bearskin Neck. Despite seeing it, I had no idea how amazing the stay would be. There's a private parking lot beside the hotel, which leads to a beautiful park with a stone bridge and two ponds. I took a ton of pictures there. We also had a small restaurant beside the hotel. The room, or should I say rooms, were amazing. The main room was a king size, with two full or twin beds in an adjacent room. There were extra blankets, so I was ok having left mine at home. We did forget our bath mat, but my mother opened the shower and found one rolled up inside. Whoever handles housekeeping thought of everything, even little travel wipes in the bathroom. We were also pleasantly surprised to have web-enabled tvs in each room. I was able to watch movies while my mother and aunt could watch their program in the other room. I also want to mention the key system. I loved not having a key card, which can deactivate when it gets close to electronics. I would have extended my stay if that were a possibility (or if we hadn't spent most of our money on eating and shopping).

Carl (10/5): This was the second year in a row that we stayed here and we will be back. - Waking up in the morning, taking my book and a coffee out on the front deck, overlooking the ocean, was such a nice way to start the day. Everything was within walking distance, nice to leave the vehicle parked for 3 days. Nothing that I can think of.

Arnold (5/5): We had a good time. - The bed was comfortable but a little too high. The view of the ocean and surrounding area was beautiful. The location was very convenient for walking to stores and sights. The few staff people that there were (Mostly cleaners and maintenance people.) were very accommodating with offering to handle our bags. The air conditioning was almost impossible to adjust. There was not enough room to open 2 suitcases.. It would have been more enjoyable to have had a desk clerk to ask questions of and not have to rely on Google for restaurants, directions and points of interest.

Danielle (10/5): Exceptional - The Cove was a great location for a stay in Rockport! It had great views of the beach on their large deck and the room was very comfortable and nice. The staff was very friendly and the contactless check-in process was great! As soon as we arrived we parked in their large parking lot, walked a nice foot path to the hotel and went right to our door.
