Guest Reviews
- Kristy (8/5): Good stay, great location, but a tad noisy. - 1. Location is superb. It's along Dean Street, where everything is nearby and we are spoiled for food choices. Chinatown is also just 5 mins away on foot, so we had lots of great food for our family of 5. We were able to walk to the theater, to Charing Cross, and to the British Museum, and the nearest underground is only 4 minutes away—Tottenham Court.
There are also convenience stores everywhere, making buying food for supper and breakfast very easy.
2. There are 2 rooms with king beds and a sofa bed in the living room. The unit we stayed in was a 2-storey duplex. It was very spacious, and fully equipped with necessities. The individual spaces for the living room, bedrooms, dining area, and dry kitchen area were all huge.
3. You're able to activate heating for the bathroom floors (2 toilets, one on each floor, as are the bedrooms) which makes showering very comfortable. The walls where you hung your bath towels were also heated so you came out from the shower to warm towels.
4. Unit was very clean. There are hot water flasks, a washer/dryer, a dishwasher, extra garbage bags, lots of utensils and liquid detergents for the dishwasher and washing machine.
5. Loved how hot water was easily available very quickly from the taps and shower. Made cleaning and showering very comfortable.
6. You can log into your own Netflix account to watch movies. 1. There should be instructions on how we can heat the house up or keep it cool—we can't be expected to know or figure things out on our own after a 14-hour flight to the UK, coming from a hot country that only knows aircons and suffering jet lag. We meddled with the switches and the controls on the walls but failed to keep the unit warm properly the first night and so it was very cold. On the second night, it was too warm, and no matter how we reduced the temperature (even setting it at 17 degrees throughout the unit), the unit remained very hot until the third day, when we realized that there was a cooling feature we had to turn on.
So yes, please provide instructions—don't assume everyone knows how these warmers work. A lot of time was wasted figuring the gadgets out.
We reached out to the host a few times but were just given a bunch of instructions to 'test this and check that'—too much work, so we gave up.
2. There was a brown puddle of water in the living room when we first came in. We informed the host, but nothing was done about it. I'd clean it, but I didn't know if that was chemical-laced liquid or something else, so I did not want to risk it. It was there throughout the 3 days and did not really dry up, even after we left on the 4th day.
3. The floor heater did not work in the bathroom upstairs throughout our stay, so the floor was cold. It only worked for the toilet downstairs. The ventilator in the upstairs toilet was not working either. That wasn't great.
4. The surroundings can get pretty noisy at night. Being in Soho, we were surrounded by bars, and every single night there'd be crowds, long queues, and tons of people outside the property area. Many people gathered near the property gate to smoke, creating not only noise but also a constant cloud of cigarette smoke and a large amount of litter from cigarette butts, which was appalling.
5. The host felt distant and not as friendly/helpful as I'd hoped.

- Massimo (9/5): - Appartamento bellissimo, ristrutturato con cura, ottimi elettrodomestici, bagni favolosi, posizione comodissima. Accesso con scale un po’ complicato e un po’ rumoroso la sera (ma solo in zona giorno)
