I booked this apartment for 3 nights and clearly informed the host that I would arrive at 01:30 AM with two children. Despite this, the host provided a wrong entry code, and we were completely unable to access the building. I called repeatedly, but no one bothered to answer or help us. We ended up standing outside for an hour in the freezing night with two kids, until we had no choice but to book a hotel for 300€ during Christmas season when almost everything was fully booked.
The next morning, the host acknowledged their mistake, apologized, and promised to refund the night we could not stay, even asking for the hotel invoice and my bank details. After I sent everything, they changed their story and suddenly claimed they were “not responsible,” even though the issue was entirely caused by the incorrect code they provided.
As a result, we never entered the apartment at all on the first night, yet the host still kept the full payment for all 3 nights. Completely unprofessional, unreliable, and disrespectful. I strongly do NOT recommend this property to anyone — especially families or anyone arriving ⭐ 1/5 – Avoid this place at all costs. - Andrew (9/5): Wonderful, quirky, quiet stay in Buda. - The apartment is right off the 41 & 19 tram, and the number 5 bus, which was super convenient for getting around. The instructions for getting into the apartment were almost perfect. Once you reached the top of the stairs, you have to go out the door to the balcony, and THEN, it’s the first door outside. The apartment itself is very spacious. It has 1 full bathroom with a tub, a toilet, a sink and a washing machine, with heated drying racks, and then a separate toilet and sink with a separate entrance. Having two separate toilets was awesome. The kitchen has everything you might need. The rooms were very large and comfortable, and there’s a TV in one of the rooms. The management were very responsive and kind when we had questions. Super professional company. I would stay here again without question. Super small quarks that we didn’t mind much but are helpful to know. The light switches were convoluted, as some switches controlled multiple rooms lights, and some switches didn’t seem to do anything. There was a breaker light switch that turned on and off all the appliances in the kitchen. I’m sure we could have asked, but it wasn’t that big of a deal to us, just something to know. The layout with having to go through the other bedroom to get throughout the house could be a deterrent to some travelers, but as a family, we didn’t mind that much either. A dryer would have been a plus. The internet went out after a few days, and was not restored, but the management was calling the service provider to set up an appointment for the technicians to come out, but they never came while we were there. Of course that’s no fault of the management, as they were very responsive and were calling the isp for us trying to help.
