We love everyone who helped us everyday there from all the conceirge support. They treated us like family. Helped us with best options and were so kind to our kids. The front desk. There were one or two people who were super nice but the head manager - the lady - was impossible to talk to. when we arrived on day 1 she told us "we have an upgrade to a very big room and we are gtting a room overlooking the Reforma" which turned out to be exactly the same room as we have booked, overlooking Reforma meant loud noise which would wake up our kids eveeryday. After struggling to chnage the room for two days with various front desk people - someone who offered us room on the 8th floor as well we spoke with the Manager again. She refused that she told us we have an upgrade. She remembered the Reforma view part but not the upgrade. She told us beyond 5th floor she cannot offer us any space as it's a different property - Marquis suites but her colleagues offered us room on the 8th floor. I told her that on booking you confirmed on bed request and celiac related food request. She said it must be the Booking.com replying on the chat not her team but she remebered celiac request from the same chat. If she is having some memory issues.

- joshuacC6096ZW (10/5): Worth Every Penny - Trip advisor - marquis Reforma I want to preface my review for the Marquis Reforma by noting that I’ve been working in the hospitality industry for over 20 years with the last 15 being in hotels. I’ve opened 400+ room resorts with 10+ outlets. At the end of the day, I have an intimate knowledge of what we’re talking about. From the moment the doormen opened our car door our experience at the Marquis Reforma was outstanding. The first person we met was Benjamin who helped us with our bags. If I had a dozen Benjamin’s on my team I could take over a market! His attitude was a refreshing welcome after a day of traveling. The first thing you notice whether you know or not when you walk into a hotel is the smell and temperature, but the first thing you remember is how the staff interaction affects you. Benjamin seemed thrilled to met us, wanted to get us something to drink while we got checked in, and enthusiastically showed us to our room. Throughout our 6 night stay he continued to check in on us and when he found out we were going to Lucha Libre he imparted his love for wrestling and it became a nice touch point for our conversations. The location of the hotel is a great starting point for so many destinations throughout the city. 1 direction you’re a 10-12 minute walk to the museum of modern art, another direction is the Angel of Independence. If you’re heading to the shops in Polonco or the restaurants in Roma Norte you’re a super cheap Uber ($4-$5) to either areas. Unfortunately on our first full day in town we made the mistake of getting into a taxi and the taxi driver stole 3 credit cards worth of data from us by telling us the cards were declined. Within an hour all 3 cards had been fraudulently charged thousands of dollars. The reason I mention this is to tell you how the property handled it. Once we finished talking to the banks we Uber’d back to the Marquis and I notified the front desk of the issue and to verify my initial hold on the card was still active. I explained what happened and because American Express is the last customer service focused bank left in America, they had updated my Apple Pay with a new number. The front desk team assured me not to worry. We can continue charging things to the room and if they need to work with AMEX directly they’d be more than happy, and I could use the Apple Pay tap option at checkout. It wasn’t a cold interaction. They showed empathy and provided reassurance. From the desk we walked right to the Harbor Bar because the wife and I needed some shots to reset after a miserable couple of hours. This is where we met Elias. What a professional. As part of the management team at the Harbor Bar, Elias was welcoming and when I had questions about some tequila he was super helpful. Once again, here was a team member in the hotel who just took care of us! He was proud of his staff. From the front of house to the back of house, he never missed an opportunity to highlight their hard work. Elias is a massive asset to the Marquis Reforma. Let’s take a second to highlight the F&B of the property. The first night we got in late and I ordered tacos to the room. If you’re like me, you’re not expecting amazing tacos, or anything for that matter, at 11PM room service. But both the el pastor and steak tacos were great! I was hoping for a Mexican Coke, but I got a can. Breakfast was included with our room and while we didn’t plan to partake in a hotel breakfast buffet, we were extremely surprised by how many offerings were at our disposal! A wonderful fresh cut fruit station along with cheese, yogurt and granola was a wonderful start. 4 different fresh juice options! Wonderful pastries from croissants to conchas as well as great banana bread! Oh, and tamales! 3 different offerings from traditional to sweet and banana leaf wrapped. All 3 were delicious! A large made to order egg menu from omelets to Benedict’s was available, but my morning go to was the little build your own chilaquiles station. I start each morning by ordering 2 fried eggs sunnyside up so by the time my chips had soaked up the verde I’d add the hot eggs and dig in! I also would be doing you all a massive disservice if I didn’t mention the cafe de olla. What a great way to enjoy your coffee I. The morning! Let’s talk about dinner service at Harbor Bar. Do you love ceviche? Because we love ceviche and the aqua chili snapper was one of the best bites we had and we had some amazing food on our trip. Also the crispy fried rice topped with tuna was delicious! We order both dishes twice during our stay! The gym facilities are a ghost town but they’re offering everything you need! From spin bikes to free weights and everything in between, heck they had punching bags! We did take a couple hours to get massages at the Spa. A traditional full service outlet that provided everything you could imagine. My only critique is the deep tissue massage didn’t go as hard as I would have liked, but at the end of the day it was a relaxing afternoon. They offer 2 different temperatures for hot tubs, have sauna and steam rooms and a cooling pool. Everything is as professional as you can imagine. We stayed in a Junior Suite. It was well appointed. The bed was comfortable. We didn’t love the pillows… can you tell I’m reaching to find things we didn’t love! My last thoughts on our stay revolve around why our stay was so great. It was the staff. They’re so well staffed at the property! Everyone understood that the guest is the priority, and through that understanding they had built camaraderie. You could tell that they enjoyed what they were doing because they were friends with their colleagues. I never saw a guest wanting for anything. I saw the staff moving with purpose. I saw a team that was enjoying work. No one LOVES working, but they seemed to truly enjoyed the time they were on the clock. That doesn’t happen by accident. We have lots more of the globe to discover, but if I’m back in Mexico City, I’m staying at the Marquis Reforma.

Una chica no ví su nombre una güera que trabaja en la recepción me atendió como enojada con molestias , me comentaba cosas muy rápido y si yo pedí repetir algo ella ya explicaba con una actitud de molestia.

The hotel staff is very helpful, supportive and friendly, in particular I want to thank Gregorio and his team in the restaurant. The room is very nice, but needs updating to address some “quirks.” There is a needed plug in on the floor that is elevated so that I kept tripping over it to access the coffee maker. They need to have an electronic control for the curtains, because to get them closed, you must maneuver behind the tv and the shower button was stuck and required maintenance to fix it. Customer service was a mixed bag. Most folks were excellent and helpful. Our checking was hand eles by a woman with the charm of an East German prison guard. She was extremely rude and unhelpful. However, the reason we won’t be returning was the last night. We were on the 11th (top) floor. Apparently there was a kitchen fire at about 7:30pm. We found out by smelling smoke. When we looked into the hall, it was so thick, we couldn’t see the end of the hall. No smoke alarm went off and no one was informing us of what was happening. We had to call the front desk and the woman said it’s fine. When I explained about the smoke, her response was to open a window, it’s fine. Seriously!?! There is no way I will be back here!

Not only did Monica assist my mother in all the official steps required after such an event, she remained available and offered her continued assistance long after my mom returned to the US. Thank you Monica and the entire hotel staff of the Hotel Marquis Reforma for your kindness and aid when a suddenly widowed woman found herself alone and far from home. A 5-Star review does not do the hotel justice, but I hope it will give future travellers an indication of how the elegance and beauty of this hotel also extends to its exceptional staff. - Clare (8/5): Great location, very pleasant staff. - Very friendly helpful staff, lovely bed linen, clean rooms. I didn’t like the fact that I wasn’t aware that there were different tiers of admittance to the spa, it was embarrassing for myself and the staff for me to be told I didn’t qualify for certain parts of the facility. I would prefer to pay in the first place as part of my stay.

- castle554 (10/5): An unexpected gem - A hidden gem. We stayed for three nights and despite being gringos, we stayed with a Mexican chain rather than a US chain hotel. The hotel and the staff were first class. Great service. Great attentiveness by the staff. Hotel restaurants quite decent as was the advice provided by the hotel concierge. Location on Paseo de Reforma was perfect for access to major tourist stops. We would definitely stay here again.

They are kind, responsive, helpful, and I could tell, they truly cared about my experience at their amazing establishment. My room was top notch (PH) - All the amenities I would expect and more. I ate at the both restaurants - the brunch buffet was excellent and the lunch/dinner restaurant was 6******! The service - WOW! The food - WOW! The presentation - WOW. Honestly, I could not think of a single thing this venue could improve upon. Thank you for such an amazing stay in your beautiful city.

- Javier (9/5): Relación calidad precio, excelente hotel - La ubicación, al estar en Reforma y por zona Chapultepec se llega a varios destinos de una manera "rápida" dentro de la ciudad. El tamaño de la habitación es realmente amplio. No sé si era por obras, tráfico o cual razón sea pero en ocasiones la zona olía a caño. Si bien el hotel solo lo utilicé para dormir, por la mañana era un poco molesto.

- shuvashisk2025 (2/5): Overpriced, superficial amenities, with poor service - not a business hotel by any stretch. - Room was missing bath towel and wash cloth; fixtures are old with high step bathtub - decor from the past; good for old timers looking for superficial nostalgia and easily charmed by it. And I am a 60+, seem better. Breakfast- prepaid but restaurant does not open until 7 am. Had to leave early but won’t refund because reservation made through third party: that was directed from their own website. The breakfast day before was average; not bad but nothing exceptional. Nice young people with lots of smiles but when it comes to actual delivery, poor. Stay elsewhere and spend money in a good hacienda dinner.
