• Stock (8/5): - Hübscher gepflegter ruhiger Garten, Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, nicht weit vom schönen Strand. Sehr gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Das Bad braucht dringend eine Überholung! Wir hätten anstelle eines Fernsehers lieber einen Kühlschrank gehabt. 2 Gläser wären auch schön.

You can walk to the sunset point. Our rooms were made up every morning. They have a lot or extra services that they offer. The room was comfortable and quiet. The pool is very nice, big and clean. Can recommend. Thank you.🙏🏻 The bathroom could use a renovation.
• Anton (6/5): Ok for s short stay for very low cost as it’s close to the harbour - Location is good, 5 minutes’ walk from the harbour and beach. Facilities are very poor. The shower barely works — there’s a major leak in the pipe, so the water pressure is too low to reach properly. The shower and toilet are in the same space without any separation or level difference, which makes it inconvenient — after showering, the whole floor is wet, so using the toilet comfortably isn’t possible. The tap is heavily calcified and clearly hasn’t been cleaned for a long time. There was no hairdryer provided either.

Nous avions demandé 2 sortie norkelling pour voir les tortues et autres specimens et après nous avoir amenés a 1 aire d'embarquement on nous a informés que ca n'était pas possible. Il a quand même fallu payer le taxi pour l'aller retour. Vraiment décu d'être passé par les services de cet hotel. On aurait mieux fait d'aller voir ailleurs!
• MacDonald (8/5): Yes it's dated and a little run down but we loved it for its simplicity, its location and its staff - loved the location - there's a mini-mart right across the road for cold Bintangs, etc. A couple of restaurants close by down the hill one in particular (Sambali) we loved for breakfast - they're super friendly, down a narrow lane and you're at Mushroom Bay where all the big boats come in and there's plenty of places to eat around the bay and just sit and sip a cold drink in the afternoon/sunset. The staff at Bali Nusa Cottage are awesome, so friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. Right next door is an amazing spa also, ask for the deep tissue massage with the owner of the spa, incredible. It is super quiet, we practically had the place to ourselves which suited us well. The pool is awesome, deep enough and big enough and super clean. I recommend walking to the Cliff-top bar for sunset drinks (frozen margaritas). We had a fabulous afternoon/evening and staggered home in the dark. There aren't any gogeks on the island but you can hire one of the many open jeep thingies and they'll take you on a tour of the island visiting all the main areas even stopping along the way so we could restock supplies etc and allowing us plenty of time as each spot to explore, photos, etc. Yes I would book it again if we went back. Nothing really but just be warned that it is very dated. I had one of the stand-alone cottages and it was super comfy and clean but there are holes everywhere, the basin isn't fixed to the vanity which I found out the hard way, the hot water is very hot but limited so be quick with the hair wash. But I do believe the 'run-down' rooms are reflected in the price - we weren't complaining with what we paid so if you're ok with a little run-down, rustic then you won't be disappointed. If you're expecting perfection, don't book it. The sun-loungers around the pool were comfy and plentiful but it's really difficult to lift the umbrellas in place with rusty old nails to hold it up - it's a two-man job or ask the staff to do it for you.

• Justin (7/5): Great staff, location and accommodation was relatively good value but the pool needs more attention - Bathroom was clean and all cavities worked. Hot water shower also worked well. Location was great, close to mushroom beach and not far off the main road to access food outlets, tour operators The staff did not appear to run the pool properly leaving it murky with pool filter not running most of the time. We always use the pool but on this occasion we avoided it mostly putting only our legs in to cool off. So as to avoid getting any infection from the water.

• Lex (9/5): Top personeel, schoon hotel, uitstekende locatie! - Het personeel is super vriendelijk en heel erg behulpzaam. Ze kunnen scooters voor je regelen en hebben ook de boot tocht naar en van nusa lembongan geregeld. Ze ontzorgen je zodat je lekker het eiland kan verkennen. De locatie was ook echt perfect als je naar het strand wou. De andere wegen zijn erg druk, maar de route van het hotel naar het strand (scooter 1 min, lopen 3 min) is erg rustig. Kortom alles was erg schoon, perfecte locatie tussen strand en eet/winkel gelegenheden maar wat echt super eraan is, is het personeel. Echt goeie vriendelijke behulpzame gastvrouwen/gastheren.

• Johannes (5/5): Okay und günstig, aber nicht nochmal - Gute Lage und nettes Personal, man konnte günstig einen Scooter mieten, der Rest leider gewöhnungsbedürftig. Sowohl Zimmer als auch die Einzelhütten an sich sauber, jedoch nur im Zimmer. Die Badezimmer sind jeweils fast schon ekelhaft. Verschiedene braune Flecken auf dem Boden und auf den WCs, die Dusche ist auch verkalkt und rostet.

La piscina s’agraeix i s’hi respira ambient tranquil. Et netegen l’habitació cada dia. Està a 5 minuts d’una de les platges mes conegudes. (Cal saber que segons la zona on estiguis uns vaixells van cap a una zona o una altre). Recomanable llogar moto per veure tota la illa. A prop de molts warungs molt bons. Ha estat tot bé!

• Jay (8/5): Nicest place we have stayed so far! Lovely rooms, lovely pool and great location. - We loved Bali Nusa Cottage it was in a great location, pool was gorgeous and rooms were lovey. It was about 4min walk from the beach and had a shop right outside. The hotel was pretty quiet as there were only about 3 rooms full (including us). Staff were lovely and helped us organise a taxi to ferry port. There was a restaurant area at the hotel that never seemed to be open, and there was also hardly any staff around. We also didn’t get our room cleaned the whole time we were there. But non of this ruined our stay. We had a lovely time here. We would 100% go back. It was so lovely.

• Alfie (10/5): Two solo - This place is absolutely fantastic - one of the nicest places we have stayed in Indonesia. Such good value for money also. The room itself is great, really big, decent bathroom, balcony overlooking the pool ( which in itself was well cared for. The room had a decent size mini fridge which kept stuff cool. Tv in the room which connected to WiFi for netflix etc. The staff are absolutely phenomenal. Really kind and nothing is too much. If anything is wrong you can use WhatsApp if no one is around, I.e asking for more towels. You are able to rent a scooter from the hotel and the hotel also provides washing at 25k /kg. The free breakfast is a great addition. Reading previous reviews we were dubious however please ignore all critical reviews this place is fantastic. Will definitely be staying again.

• Sam (1/5): Avoid at all costs - Comfy bed Toilet was broken the whole time, they came to fix it and said they couldn’t, we asked if we could move rooms and they said no as they were fully booked however there was no other guests on site the whole time we were there (realised why by the end) There were things running around in our ceiling and there was a huge hole in the bathroom ceiling so we asked if we could move because of this too which they also said no and they half covered the hole with some cardboard. The wifi stopped working after the first day, we advised them of this and they said it would be back on in 10 minutes but never worked again for our whole stay. The shower ran cold for the last two days. The bathroom absolutely stank The lady who worked behind the desk was really rude

Unfortunately we felt that the photos are a little misleading, the hotel itself is quite worn and needs a light redecoration and new bathrooms. There is also no staff on site 24/7 so would be helpful if they had a contact number on WhatsApp so you can get in touch with them if needs be.

• Amye (10/5): Great staff & good value for money - The staff here go above and beyond. They assisted organising transport and even drove me to my diving course every day. I stayed in the Apartment area and it was very clean and cool. If you’re planning to stay around the Mushroom Beach area it is in a great spot just up from the beach with a store across the street. On the connecting street behind are shops, restaurants and also other diving schools on this side of the island. If you get the ferry from Sanur you can walk directly up to the accomodation. The pool is always clean and well maintained.

• Tine (4/5): Cheap hotel but not worth it. - Beliggenheten til hotellet var bra i et ganske stille og rolig område med kort spasertur ned til stranden. Sengen var god. Men dette var det eneste som var bra med dette hotellet. Vi betalte next to nothing for oppholdet og da kan man kanskje ikke forvente så mye. Vi tenkte "hvor ille kan det være?", men det var ikke værdt det. Dette stedet kan vi ikke anbefale videre. Følelsen av å være her var bare creapy. Kakerlakk på badet(ok can happen) Ekle sluk på badet som var skitne og ødelagte. Duer som bæsjet fra taket og ned på baderumsgulvet. Badet har ikke vært grundig vasket på lang lang tid. Kun brennende varmt vann i kranen på badet. Bassenget ser ganske fint ut, men vannet var ekkelt og føltes som å bade i gelé. Frokosten var bare trist, gå heller ut å spis på restaurant. Hotellet og rommet føltes som ikke vedlikeholdt, slitt og dårlig vasket. Ingenting virket, TV fungerte ikke, kun en av tre lamper på badet virket. Spindelvev inne i nattbordslampene. Ingen håndsåpe på badet, den var tom. Hadde også en gigantisk edderkopp på rommet som personalet måtte komme og ta bort. Personalet var helt ok, men ikke noe mer enn akkurat det. Hotellet har potensiale til å bli veldig bra. Men ledelsen her virker ikke å bry seg. Vi bodde her to nettet og det var en lettelse å dra.
• Andrea (3/5): The management doesn't know how to manage the building. - The facilities in front and besides and it's really close to the Mushroom beach. It's dirty, a lot of lights doesn't work, I was asking one extra jam and they didn't give me, they said "no" and then "It's finish" and no water in the fridge. Salty water in the bathroom.
• Sha Toni (5/5): Budget hotel, description not correct..unfriendly staff. - Location, comfortable bed, pool. Bedroom not lockable, no safety deposit box as advertised, many lights not working, needs maintenance, staff not very friendly or helpful, when asked for bottled water included, staff very resistant to give and didn't replace. Cleaning not good, breakfast very basic and small nothing like photos advertised. Tv not set up, when asked to set up, staff send would send someone never did, so after sometime worked out how to do ourselves, to set up go to menu, smart hub, open smarthub. Wifi sometimes works. No bathmats, hand towels or face clothes, no conditioner as advertised, basic budget accommodation. Pool access rooms better than cottage or upstairs rooms that get to much sun.
• Eva (7/5): Fijne locatie met vriendelijk personeel. - - Fijne locatie, dichtbij het strand en de straat met allerlei restaurants. Ook dichtbij het punt waar de speedboat aankomt/vertrekt. - Zwembad was fijn. - Personeel was vriendelijk. - Kamer was ruim met een groot bed. - Werd regelmatig schoongemaakt (vegen, dweilen, bed opmaken, prullenbak geleegd). - Personeel sprak geen goed Engels. - Beddengoed was niet erg schoon. Zaten vlekken in. - In het plafond in de badkamer zat een gat (grotendeels afgedekt met een plank) waar een beest leek te zitten (hoorde geritsel). Hebben de eigenaar ernaar gevraagd en of hij het dicht wilde maken. Lachte het een beetje weg en zei dat het een kat was. We voelden ons niet comfortabel in de badkamer door dit gat. - Ontbijt viel een beetje tegen, maar aangezien het inbegrepen was, kunnen we er weinig kritiek op hebben. - Huurden een scooter bij de accommodatie . Tank was vrijwel leeg toen we hem kregen… - Kunt niet pinnen. Alleen contant betalen. - In totaal 5 nachten verbleven en geen schone handdoek gekregen na een aantal dagen. - Moest zelf 2x om nieuw toiletpapier vragen (kreeg telkens 1 rol). Werd niet meegenomen in de schoonmaakronde. - Water uit de douche leek zout (gefilterd) water te zijn.

Piscine sympa Nous avons du demander à ce que les draps soient changés car à priori le lit avait été fait mais les draps étaient sales … il n’y avait personne dans l’hôtel heureusement qu’ils ont répondu par booking. Le petit dej est sommaire au mieux et compliqué d’avoir ce qu’on a commandé. Il a failli sauter un des matins car encore une fois impossible de trouver quelqu’un … Hôtel franchement fantomatique
• Annabel (2/5): Falling apart, bad hospitality - The bed was very comfy, good location near mushroom bay, and the pool was lovely and quiet. Everything was broken (curtains fell down on our second night), in our second room the toilet did not flush at all, fridge was broke, light switch broke, and the key snapped in the lock... and they tried to get us to pay compensation for the broken key, as if it was our fault! They even threatened to call the police when we refused to pay for the broken key! Plus the breakfast is ONE EGG and a slice of toast each. One member of staff ran away from us when we asked if we could have an extra egg each, and didn't come back. Overall, not a good experience.

There is a shop just across the road for things like water and chips/crisps. The staff was very sweet and helped us rent scooters. We had the whole place to ourselves due to low season so that was a new experience! After a rainstorm everything went live so kept getting shocked by the fridge and the bidet.

Possibilité de location d'un scooter avec l'hôtel (bien vérifier ce qui touche à la sécurité avant : les clignotants ne fonctionnaient pas, idem pour les feux donc impossible de l'utiliser le soir- j'aurai dû vérifier avant de partir mais je devais partir rapidement pour une excursion). Douche à l'eau de mer ainsi que celle de la piscine. Dommage.

• Martine (7/5): - Personeel was zeer vriendelijk en hoewel ze niet geweldig Engels spreken hebben ze hun uiterste best gedaan en hebben we een prima verblijf gehad voor 2 nachten. Op loopafstand van het strand en van winkelstraat. De huisjes waren niet perse heel schoon te noemen en de douche staat voor het toilet, dus als je doucht is naar het toilet daarna nat.
• Sri Novi (6/5): - The staff are nice and warm and easy to communicate with. Breakfast is basic but nice They only show the wooden cottages in all their advertising. While they only have two. The rest of the rooms are normal building, but the room itself is nice. We have a water problem through our stay. In the beginning staff said because of the power cut. But when the power went back on, there was still barely any water. It's hard to take a shower.
• Beth (5/5): Nice room for the price, let down by the staff being rude/inadequate. - The bungalow was rustic but comfy! Nice pool area and garden was maintained well. - The sink tap wouldn’t run cold water, only scorching hot. - The shower didn’t work without running the sprayer next to the toilet. I bought these issues up first thing, and was told they would be fixed the next day, but they weren’t and just ignored it. - The toilet was badly stained. - The staff were unfortunately sub-par. Very basic English, so it was hard to communicate. A few of them kept staring at me and laughing, until I called them out on it because it made me really uncomfortable. Then they organised a taxi for me to the beach with my heavy bags, and charged 80K for a 2 minute drive! And they tried to overcharge me for laundry by apparently adding things up wrong…

• Larissa (2/5): TERRIBLE - - The location of Bali Nusa Cottage is good for the ones who would like to stay near Mushroom Bay, it’s probably only 300m away from it. In saying that, Mushroom Bay is not the nicest place, as there are too many boats there all day long. -The pool and the outside area was nice enough. - The room had a good size and the bed was comfortable. - The facilities were not great (as you can see on my pictures), the shower was corroded and had only salty water, what kind of defeats the purpose. There was a small door open on the bathroom ceiling and the drain was clogged and with bad odor. -The breakfast is not worthy your money, even if it’s included on the accommodation price. I went downstairs to have breakfast only once, they forgot to bring my toast with my eggs and when I requested it I was advised that I had to “pay more money”. I tried to explain that I never got my toast in the first place, but I gave up as they couldn’t even make scrambled eggs properly. - The staff was friendly, but unfortunately their English was in between bad and non existent. When I asked at what time breakfast started I was answered “maybe 6, maybe 7 and maybe 11”, I asked few more times and used translator but unfortunately he was not able to understand my question. When we needed more toilet paper it took them 2 days to understand what we needed and to actually get the toilet paper my partner had to go to the reception 3 times. As an immigrant myself, I do understand the challenges of speaking another language. But unfortunately if your staff cannot communicate the very basics of the English language, they will struggle to meet the needs of your clients. Nobody wants to ask the same question in many different ways multiple times until someone understands you want to buy a damn bottle of water. The receptionist had no idea that I had paid for my accommodation, that my breakfast was included, at what time was the check out or any other basic information they should have known. - If you need anything related with you spending money at Bali Nusa Cottage, BE CAREFUL. Everyone will tell you a different price and make sure they can take as much money from you as they possibly can. During the same day renting a scooter had 3 different prices and organizing a taxi was similar.

• Miquel (1/5): Very disappointing - The location and the swimming pool are perhaps the only redeeming features. The hotel is situated in a quiet area near Mushroom Beach, with several nice local restaurants nearby. Notably, the restaurant across the street offers delicious local food. We have experienced that many hotels in Bali have subpar bathrooms that are often quite dark and moist. However, this one was on another level. For starters, the bathroom smelled terrible. If the door was left slightly open, the smell would permeate the bedroom. The sink was disconnected under the cabinet, so water spilled onto the floor whenever we used it. The faucet, made of a leaking PVC tube, caused everything we had on the counter to get wet. The shower was non-functional: there was no hot water, and the showerhead fell off when we tried to use it. The shower floor was constantly covered with dirty water due to poor drainage. We reported these issues to the staff multiple times. Although the woman in charge promised to fix them, nothing was done initially. Only after three days of consistent complaints did they replace the faucet and showerhead, but they forgot to address the hot water, requiring further complaints from us. Additionally, basic amenities were neglected. Toilet paper was rarely replenished, towels were not replaced during our six-night stay, and the soap dispensers were not refilled—one even contained an old, dry pink soap that was completely useless. Overall, it was a frustrating experience. While most of the staff were friendly, the woman in charge was not very helpful. Despite our repeated requests, we never got to speak to the manager. Furthermore, the Wi-Fi connection was probably the worst we have ever experienced—constantly failing and extremely slow. Disappointingly, no gestures were made to compensate for the numerous inconveniences we faced.

• Barry (5/5): Average - Breakfast was very basic, but passed. The shower had absolutely NO water pressure took at least half hour just for a quick shower. No toilet paper when they made up room you had to go and ask for it. The liquid soap ran out the second day in the shower and the hand basin, I took the lid off the hand basin liquid soap they put the lid on and never filled it. The coffee cup was left unwashed several days. Very disappointing.

Lits confortables, piscine, petit jardin arboré, terrasse pour le petit dej, trés cool. Pas de parking pour garer son scoot.
• Jodie (3/5): Good location, basic standard considering price but could do with actual room cleaning & not having a person with te - Good location & comfortable clean bed Rooms not actually cleaned but instead just beds made only. Bins not emptied even from previous guests, mirrors dirty & furniture dust not cleaned or bathrooms & pool could do with a basic daily cleaning as staff not doing anything else. Heads up hole in roof above showers instead of exhaust fans. The girl there is very hostile , always looked at us unfriendly & lied to us when we requested to swap rooms as she didn’t want to change extra bedding but it became available next day so we had to demand it in end & she was very unhappy. She rudely spoke in Indonesian about us to other staff. Staff waiting at the door at checkout time then threw a towel over stairs as I was leaving & it landed on top of me making my way down stairs & the rude girl & other staffed just laughed about it as I was leaving. This girl must be related to the owner to get away with her terrible customer service.

Linen was either not fresh or washed in dirty water, same for the towels, looked & felt grubby. shower water salt water? Harassed to leave at 10am even though book out time is mid day. Breakfast below standard. Cups both coffee & glasses in room really dirty.
