Alles ziemlich abgewohnt, keine 4 Sterne wert. Die Brandschutzanlafe war komplett ausgefallen, sodass das Gebäude geräumt wurde. Die Kommunikation der Mitarbeiter war mangelhaft.

• June (10/5): Fantastic hotel and a fantastic time in London - We didn't have breakfast at the hotel. The staff were extremely helpful, the young man on the reception when we arrived had changed our room to a shower not over a bath as my friend and i have mobility issues, we were also on the 2nd floor and not lower ground as the lift didn't go down and we would've had to use the stairs. All the staff were encountered were polite, the room was spotless and was cleaned daily with clean towels when we had used them. It had everything we needed but also had more than we expected. Loved our stay at The Colonnade Hotel! ❤️❤️ Everything was very good, no complaints at all

Brak kontaktu z menadżerem w sprawie przeciekającego sufitu, recepcja coś chciała zrobić lecz jedynie co to dostałem wizytówkę z mailem i żebym napisał, po czym mija 5 dzień i brak kontaktu. Śniadanie bardzo ale to bardzo ubogie, bułki odgrzewane aż przegrzane nie idzie ich rozciąć na pół, bo robi się „bułka tarta” cała się sypie. Nie polecam tragedia

Nao faz juz a um hotel de 4 estrelas em nada. Pequeno almoco muito fraquinho, isolaçao 0. Para o quarto estar quente meteram la um aquecedor a rodas pois o ar condicionado nao funciona e entra imenso frio pelas janelas.

Na reclamatie hebben we een correcte kamer gekregen. Het ontbijt was ook sober en teweinig personeel.

• Simon (9/5): Good value for money through booking.com - We had a family room/suite. It was ideal for us. Super comfy bed and four poster bed, tall ceiling and huge curtains. It was spacious and well laid out. It is a really small walk from the underground. We had breakfast, however we didn't sample the restaurant food. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We have booked for next year already and have included the dinner option. Booking.com got us a great price.

• joanne (8/5): - Lovely room, very clean and well kept Our room was in the basement. There was some kind of party in the restaurant/ dining room, the music was rather loud and didn't stop until 11.30.
• Greg (6/5): Was much better around ten years ago. - Location, good quality, huge curtains and a comfortable bed. Fish in goldfish bowl in lobby are not treated well. The glass bowl that they live in is too small for three fish and has absolutely nothing interesting in it. No plants for the fish to brush past for sensory stimulation and no gravel or ground of any kind for them to flick up for fun or to find fallen food that has ended up under gravel. All things that fish need to be happy. It made me feel unhappy every time I walked past them. I mentioned this to the a male receptionist and a female cleaner. I was told to send an email with any of my concerns. Nobody seemed to care about those fish. Also, a carpet on the way into the bathroom was unraveling. It was tired and old looking.

• Dorus (5/5): Goede locatie maar erg groezelig hotel - Locatie is prima, personeel is vriendelijk, maar daar is al het positieve wel mee gezegd. De kamers zijn klein en smoezelig. Er is al geruime tijd geen onderhoud meer gepleegd en dat zie je terug in de staat van de meubels, in het sanitair, in de lift (die niet werkte) en in het gebouw an sich. De kamers hebben een stevige renovatie nodig, in de huidige staat is het eigenlijk niet te verhuren. Er otbraken essentiële zaken als badhanddoeken, een toiletborstel en een lift. Daarnaast zag het er onhygiënisch uit en zijn de kamers zo klein dat je je nauwelijks kunt keren. Al met al een behoorlijke tegenvaller, gezien de ronkende aanbeveling op Booking.com.
• Axelle (8/5): Un hôtel très agréable avec un personnel charmant, idéalement situé. - Nous avons été agréablement surprises par la chambre spacieuse, très accueillante. Le côté "dans son jus" de cet hôtel ajoute beaucoup de charme. Le personnel était très agréable, nous avons eu une très bonne expérience. Les équipements sont un peu vétustes : vieux chauffage, chasse d'eau et douche relativement fonctionnelles (jet d'eau très faible dans la douche, bug de la chasse d'eau), mais ce sont des détails très loin de nous avoir gaché notre expérience !

• Christer (8/5): Charming but basic old hotel with a perfect location. - The Colonnade in Little Venice wears its age with dignity. The townhouse building shows its past in every corner: narrow and creaking staircases with with thick carpets. Pipes that knock and whistle when they feel for it. Small rooms that are cosy and full of character. Staying here feels like stepping into a slice of London history. Remember to bring a electric adapter, all the sockets have the English three-pin-contact. Without it you have to charge your phone in the bathroom. The staff is friendly and helpful, though a detail or two may slip now and then. It fits the place. Nothing is slick, but everything gets the job done. Breakfast is basic – bread, cold cuts and simple yoghurt. It’s a functional start to the day, nothing more. The location is a major strength. Paddington Station is close, with quick links to Heathrow. The Bakerloo line - which takes you all the way to South Bank and Waterloo via Oxford Cirkus and Charing Cross - is a minute away. Several bus routes stop right outside the hotel - fex the bus to Hampstead Heath. The canals offer great walks, including the route to Camden, which takes under an hour. The neighbourhood also has several fine pubs. The Warwick Castle and The Hero are both good for a pint and a taste of local life. The Colonnade has seen better days, but charm, character and a superb location make it an easy place to enjoy. The standard on the bathroom. Cracket tiles, flaking paint and old and allmost worn out shower/bathtub.

• René (6/5): Zeer sfeervol hotel, maar ik wil ook graag kunnen douchen... - Perfecte locatie vlakbij Warwick Avenue metrostation, je bent zo in de stad. Prachtig gebouw van buiten, zeer sfeervol van binnen (een oud maar echt Brits klassiek hotel). Vriendelijke receptionisten. Bed lag prima. En de prijs die ik betaalde (ca. 61 pond per nacht) was goed voor deze locatie. Alles ging goed tot ik wilde gaan douchen... De badkamer. Eerst zat er alleen koud water in de douche. Na wat tips van de zeer vriendelijke receptionist kwam er na héél lang wachten eindelijk wat lauw water uit, maar warm werd het zeker niet. De receptionist bood aan de onderhoudsdienst ernaar te laten kijken. Mogelijk is deze geweest toen ik weg was: de tweede keer dat ik probeerde te douchen kwam er alleen een superdun straaltje kokend heet water uit de douchekraan (niet koeler te krijgen). En de laatste keer dat ik een poging waagde was het weer anders: nu kwam er vrijwel helemaal geen water meer uit de douchekraan... Ik had geen zin meer om weer te gaan vragen en heb het opgegeven. Ook het toilet spoelde maar 1 op de zoveel keer goed door, maar daar heb ik verder niet over geklaagd ter plaatse. Uit andere reviews die ik inmiddels heb gelezen, blijkt dat dit soort problemen in dit hotel vaker voorkomen. Dit verhelp je niet met vriendelijke medewerkers, hier zijn helaas gewoon fikse structurele investeringen door het management nodig.
• Sebastiana (9/5): Calm friendly hotel with character. - Really lovely warm room, tastefully decorated with art nouveau style. Friendly staff, calm atmosphere in the building. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet and spacious with a nice view of the neighbourhood. The shower was a little weak in terms of the water pressure but it was ok. Other people may find it harder.

• caroline (5/5): - Our room was of a generous size, and was clean. The hotel over all needs a re vamp, all fixtures and fittings are a bit tired. But I had read the reviews and was expecting it to be so. Over all our stay was very pleasant. Excellent location , breakfast was basic but all on offer fresh. Given the location and room size, very good value for money , I´d much prefer to stay in a quirky establishment rather than a generic Travel Lodge. We´d book again . Super cafe around the corner , Toast , plus an excellent French restaurant :)

Direkt vor unserem Fenster gab es eine tote Taube, dass Standard Frühstück war nicht Abwechselung reich und sehr klein. Die Klimaanlage war defekt. Im Badezimmer war Schimmel zu sehen. Das Licht hat geflackert im Zimmer. Die Fotos haben nicht dem Zimmer entsprochen

Wardrobe broken, lamps broken, windows draughty, towels smelt damp. Paid £5.95 for a kids scrambled egg which came out looking absolutely disgusting. No water in room as suggested and despite booking saying 20% off food and drink- I never received this. Not four star and not worth the money

The hotel is really old, room changed on arrival to a twin on 4th floor. Room 42 needs serious updating, lack of electric sockets, fridge didn't work, shower was awful, broken floor tiles, curtains didn't meet, pillow had iron burns which you could feel through the pillowcase. The bed moved about. Carpet was stained, large lampshade was broken. Tap leaking, the whole night was what sounded like a boiling kettle, hot water tank so loud and constantly boiling. The towel rail in bathroom was sooooo hot and didn't have tye earth wire connected to it. Light above mirror was constantly flickering. Toilet door handle was on upside-down. Mould along the rubber for shower screen. This hotel was a cheap somewhere to put your head down for one night but wouldn’t suggest to be a 4 star thats for sure. Staff were helpful and very friendly.

• Guest (7/5): Es war ein toller Urlaub und wir würden wieder kommen. - Das Hotel liegt direkt in der Nähe der U-Bahn. Man ist in kürzester Zeit in der Londoner Innenstadt. Das Zimmer war groß und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis top! Das Kontinentale Frühstücksbuffet war inklusive, hatte jedoch nur eine geringe Auswahl. Da hätte ich mir mehr erwartet. Ein English-Breakfest konnte man nur gegen Aufpreis erhalten. Das war etwas schade.

• tonybut2016 (8/5): Much better than some reviews - We booked this hotel on a deal which cost less than any other 4* hotel in London. I can see if anyone was on a package and expecting a proper four star hotel you might be upset. However for the price we paid this was excellent value. It once was a very grand hotel and is now is a bit shabby but imagine you are visiting an aristocratic country house and this is what you would see exactly. 1) It is clean, the bedding was fine, tea and coffee in the room as you would expect anywhere. plenty of storage space, comfortable chairs. 2) The rooms are spacious, not like more modern London hotels where you get something the size of Colonnade's bathrooms. 3) When we were there the staff were always completely friendly and helpful 4) The restaurant is fabulous for dinner and drinks with a Persian twist. 5) Continental breakfast was not impressive but it was free and perfectly nice. 6) It is convenient for the West End, Warwick Avenue tube station 200 yds away takes you direct to Piccadilly Circus. Locally there are bars and shops and Little Venice canals. I have seen prices online from £65 per night. Upgrade yourself from that and pay motel/B&B prices for your dates and you will be doing fine!!

Le lit était cassé, la tapisserie se décollait, dégât des eaux au plafond. Il n'y a pas de meuble dans la salle de bain pour poser sa trousse de toilette. Le réceptionniste n'était pas très aimable, surtout si vous ne parlez pas très bien anglais. Cet hôtel ne mérite absolument pas 4 étoiles. C'est même honteux de louer des chambres dans un tel état.

• Jessica (6/5): Posizione comoda, se vi accontentate di dormire e basta senza pretese sulla struttura - La posizione vale da sola la spesa: fermata della metro a pochi metri su una linea che arriva ovunque in breve tempo, in 5 minuti a piedi si arriva a Little Venice. La pulizia piuttosto buona nonostante la struttura sia datata. Personale cordiale ma sbrigativo. Non abbiamo provato la colazione . Cambio asciugamani e pulizia giornalieri. Phon, ferro da stiro, bollitore presenti e funzionanti. Condizionatore funzionante e finestra totalmente apribile. La struttura è datata e la manutenzione lascia a desiderare (macchie sui muri, parti scrostate o staccate, l'ascensore era un montacarichi e fa dei rumori e degli scricchiolii davvero poco rassicuranti). Si vede che è una struttura vecchia e poco tenuta (anche se il livello di pulizia è buono dati gli standard inglesi). Una sola presa utilizzabile in tutta la camera (unica disponibile). Materasso non comodissimo. Cassaforte non funzionante. stanza piuttosto piccola.

• Susie (10/5): It was a good location with a nice staff. - Location was fine and close to Tube. The breakfast choices were good. The bed was very squishy and it could have been larger.
• Maximilien (1/5): This establishment should be shut down until they can offer salubrious and safe accomodation. - Nothing The room was insalubrious. Unclean, with stains on all walls, mold in the bathroom and room. Bathroom was sloppily renovated, the toilet is installed away from the floor, on top of a couple of planks of wood, and there's a gaping hole in the shower ceramic letting water flow into the wall, causing mold through that wall, on the room side, partially hidden by a wardrobe. Towels reeked of mildew. The room as also unsafe in a basement with a window that cannot be locked and that opens to the emergency exit. Anyone who knows this could come in from the outside. Staff lied to us telling us that space can only be accessed by the staff, but as an emergency exit there of course needs to be a way out from there to the street. One cable along the edge of the floor has the sleeve torn and visible exposed wires. Staff uses precariously-balanced fire extinguishers to keep doors open. One fell on my wife's ankle and injured her.

I would request booking.com for refund from this property. I have stayed there on 6-7night in this property with my partner And checked in very late 11pm and checked out at 8am , Firstly the worst thing is I would say about the reception staff the guy when i start checked in at 11pm instead of welcoming us he was very rude with us I just asked about the parking my car at night he was like just go out and check the timing he said that he is been working there for last 10years and he doesn’t no the timing for the parking then I have to take all my luggage at 11pm at night and search for the bode to see the timing of parking . Secondly I haven’t got the room I booked for The facilities which is mentioned when I booked I haven’t got any no Charging port broken to charge my phone need to charge it near the toilet and wait to get charge I found some tea bags and kettle but no water That was the worst thing I ever experienced from the counter staff he again said he can’t provide me water If I need water he told me to drink from the toilet I have visited so many places and this place is the worst place I ever seen Property is okey But the service is very bad No staff will say no to the water and ask us to drink toilet water My partner as us to leave and stay in other place as it was very late night I have to stay there This was my worst experience I felt in my life It is just because the counter staff behaviour I would suggest the management to keep a good staff Last thing is about I break fast I paid for breakfast included but the guy said me i need to pay extra for it and I have to leave just having a cup of coffee I already suggested my friends and family about this hotel and stuff And even booking.com needs to know about this aswell I would ask for the refund for staying in the property and had worst experience never again Thank you Mashook
• IVOR (3/5): Very disappointed and won't be back. - History of the building, but nothing else. I found it rather dirty, I had to clean the bath before using it because there was pieces Of grout at the bottom. Carpet was really dirty and threadbare in places. The room was nothing like the room I booked, especially as I booked a nice suite with a normal bed, but was put in a very tired room with a four poster bed which was hard to get onto. Paid for an English breakfast for both of us, my eggs were over cooked and my partners where under cooked, plus my sausage was still pink/raw in the middle and wasn't very warm, so wasn't eaten. They really need to do a lot of work.. I feel hurt that I had to give such a bad review, because originally I was really looking forward to staying there.
• Carlo_geppi (7/5): A beautiful and comfortable historic location inside and out in the heart of London - The location is extremely convenient for public transportation, with a stop just steps away, and it's located in a nice, quiet neighborhood just outside the city center, with little traffic. Friendly, helpful staff, and a very clean and welcoming property. Unfortunately, our room on the top floor was affected by a machine located on the roof, so even at night we noticed some noise that was not suitable for light sleepers.

La struttura è abbastanza datata con l'ascensore che arriva solo al 2 piano e quindi 3 e 4 solo con le scale strettine quindi occhio se avete valigie. la camera carina era pulita e con letto comodo anche abbastanza spaziosa mentre il bagno decisamente vecchiotto ma comunque pulito. La colazione discreta con dolce e salato ma purtroppo senza macchina per le bevande calde ma solo caraffa caffè e acqua calda... Tutto sommato va bene come punto d'appoggio. Da segnalare vicino un pub (Prince Alfred) molto bello classico stile dove si può anche mangiare Niente in particolare va accettato per quello che è
• Daniel (7/5): Old-fashioned but still comfy - It was very comfy and a bit old-fashioned. We had a lot of issues with the water. The shower only had ice cold or boiling hot water. The toilet didn't flush properly, and often had to flush several times until it properly flushed everything away. The faucet in the sink wouldn't stop dripping. And the fllornin the bathroom had cracked a bit and we could see the tiling underneath.
• Kevin (7/5): Great price and location - The location was in a nice area close to the underground and various bars and restaurants. The hotel was comfortable and the breakfast was good. As some have said the hotel is in need of a bit of tlc. However, the few "tired" parts did not spoil our stay as we used the room to sleep and shower in. If you want everything perfect then pay double the money for something else.
