• Boris Oudmaijer (10/5): Heerlijke accomodatie. - Wat een perfect verblijf in de superior kamer. We hadden prachtig uitzicht over de heuvels vanuit ons bed. Alles was perfect verzorgd en zeer schoon. De matrassen waren zacht en comfortabel. Het straatje is zeer sfeervol en vanuit de accomodatie loop je zo naar de rivier. We werden heel vriendelijk ontvangen en de hosts hebben veel tips voor de omgeving die je via een QR code heel mooi en overzichtelijk kan bekijken. We vonden het jammer dat we maar 1 nacht verbleven.

• HIROKO (10/5): 静かな時間を過ごせる宿 - 古民家をリノベーションしたとても趣のある宿でした。また、過不足なく必要な設備が整っていて、とても清潔でした。加えて、五條新町の町全体の雰囲気が良かったです。バスタブはないのですが、近くに日帰り温泉があり、そこのレストランも良かったです。 今回は天川村と高野山への観光の拠点として滞在しました。ロケーションも良かったです。また機会があれば是非泊まりたい宿です。 敢えて言うなら、使用したタオルをかけるためのタオル掛けがあると良いなと思いました。

It was easy to reach by train and also to move around in the area (if you plan to visit Yoshino, Koyasan, etc.). Gojo itself was also super nice and relaxed, with a great onsen and good restaurants nearby. Would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area! Everything was great.

• Eric (9/5): - Very well cared for and spotless guest house in the historical district of Gojo. Shower was especially nice with hot, hot water and excellent water pressure. Rooms have private bathrooms and a small refrigerator. There is also a common kitchen area downstairs with a microwave and larger refrigerator. Proprietor is extremely friendly and speaks fluent English. I booked late in the day and we were still able to coordinate check in promptly. I am on a bicycle trip and was able to store my bicycle overnight in the small, fenced backyard. Given that it's a renovated older house, if other guests are loud in the common area, you may be able to hear in your room. But this was not an issue for my stay.

• Christopher (10/5): - Beautiful location in a historical property, this accommodation is a total hidden gem. On top of that, Gojo is an incredibly charming town with history and nestled in the countryside. Perfect gateway to Yoshino/Koya-san, but also worth visiting on its own! Shogo is a very friendly/attentive host! He met me at the front door to give me the room key and provided many wonderful recommendations around town. I can’t recommend this place enough.

• Angela (10/5): Another beautiful spot in Japan. - Found a chocolate shop serving hot chocolate over ice cream, beautiful coffee and tea. The owner is sweet and enjoyable. Along the same historic road a small shop makes available farm fresh eggs, frozen custard pops and fresh custard with other delights. We felt like we found a gem in Gojo staying at Satsuki. It is a short walk from the train station which made it easy to access Koyosan.

Five minute walk to an excellent onsen. Tourist office next to the JR station rents E-bikes for a very good price (1000 JPY/day). Host is helpful and very responsive. Nothing. Everything was great.

• Byron (10/5): I highly recommend this accommodation! - We stayed at Satsuki home stay, a traditional 150 yr old Japanese home exquisitely renovated leaving historic details intact. Our room was the most spacious of our travel in Japan, with so many elegant Japanese details and amenities. It's located along the Yoshino River, overlooking the mountain range, located on the 600 yr old historic Gojo Shimmachi-dori street. There's a fully equipped kitchen and classy furnished common room and comfortable outdoor seating area. And it's a 3 minute walk to the authentic Kongo Onsen/hot spring. Shogo, the young owner made his dream of this home stay a reality. He's incredibly helpful and kind, quick to offer recommendations for eating and sightseeing and speaks English fluently. He arranged bikes for us to explore authentic Gojo, and get off the tourist trail for a bit. I highly recommend this accommodation! Nothing.

They really made it special and were so generous with their time. This would be the ideal place to bring a group or family, and use it as a base to explore the countryside. • Pablo (8/5): Don’t miss it ✨ - The house is a little jewel. Cozy, very pretty and super clean. The place has a welcoming energy and you feel at ease just by stepping in. The best thing is Shogo, the owner. A charming and helpful gentleman that will make sure that your stay is wonderful! My only comments would be: - The bed pillows were very flimsy and not very comfortable. Having bigger fluffy and full stuffed pillows would make the experience a 10/10. - Since the house is made of wood, the first floor gets very noisy. Unfortunately, we had some guests over our room that were very noisy and stomping a lot from 6:30am to 7:00 am which woke us up.
• Krešo (9/5): Toller Host, sehr gepflegtes Homestay. Gerne wieder! - Der Host kann sehr gut englisch, was enorm weiterhilft. Zudem ist er sehr hilfsbereit und hat sehr gute Empfehlungen. Die Lage ist schön und man hat einen kostenlosen Parkplatz. Das Homestay ist sehr sauber und völlig ausreichend was die Ausstattung angeht. Wir haben uns zwar gesagt, nie wieder Homestays, weil wir auf unserer Japan Reise oft damit enttäuscht wurden, das trifft aber gar nicht auf dieses zu. Hier würden wir immer gerne wieder hinkommen.

• Alice (9/5): Wonderful traditional inn with modern comforts - Gorgeous traditional house with clean minimalistic interiors, modern furnishing and electronic locks. It’s located in a beautiful street of traditional wooden houses, great to walk through. Some nice restaurants and an onsen within walking distance! We booked the triple comfort room and it was extremely comfortable, with free drinks and amenities and a brand new bathroom. The mattresses were slightly uncomfortable, but nothing major.

• MOMOKO (9/5): また泊まりたいです^_^ - 清潔で部屋の設備も整っていました。お部屋のシャワーは少し狭めですが、近くに温泉があるので、そちらに行くのをお勧めします。景色の良いお部屋もあり、ベランダでバーベキューや、事前予約でビニールプールも使えるみたいなので、団体家族旅行におすすめです！周辺に数は少ないですが、バーなどの素敵なお店や、スーパーもあるので、便利だと思います。 宿の前の道は細い割に交通量が多いので、小さなお子さんがいらっしゃる方は事故に気をつけてください。

• grimmie (10/5): Historic building, relaxing stay. - Lovely accommodation in a historic building in an old street. Shogo was very welcoming and I found the stay to be very relaxing. Added bonus was being able to watch a thunderstorm come in over the river thanks to the panoramic windows of the room. Would happily stay there again in the future.

• kathrin (10/5): Toller Aufenthalt in gojos Altstadt - Die Lage der Unterkunft hätte nicht besser sein können- direkt am Fluss, mitten in der Altstadt gelegen. Die Einrichtung war hochwertig und der Raum inkl. Bad verfügte über überdurchschnittlich viel Platz. Die Gemeinschaftsküche war gut bestückt, es gab einen großen Aussenbereich, sowie Parkplätze und der Eigentümer mit seiner Familie hat uns wärmstens empfangen und bestens betreut. Wir hatten eine Autopanne und uns wurde sofort Hilfe angeboten. Zudem war am Abend ein Fest in Gojo und er hat uns alle Informationen dazu gegeben, da wir überhaupt nicht wussten, dass dieses Event stattfand. Wir waren rundum zufrieden, empfehlen die Unterkunft wärmstens weiter und hätten uns gewünscht noch einen Nacht länger bleiben zu können. Es war alles bestens

• Maria leonor (10/5): Súper anfitrión. Casa preciosa y onsen al lado. - El apartamento es precioso, nuevo, de madera, con vistas al río y a la montaña. Todas las casas son de madera, calles bonitas como de cuento. El dia que llegamos nuestro anfitrion nos habia recomendado un restaurante riquísimo y nos pasó la direccion de un onsen al lado de casa que cerraba muy tarde así que la llegada fue excepcional. Nuestro anfitrión nos ayudó mucho con un problema que tuvimos con una reserva, nos dio mucha información y estuvo muy atento a lo que necesitamos. Es el mejor anfitrión que hemos tenido. Estamos muy agradecidos!! Me quedé solo una noche. Me hubiera quedado más tiempo.

Der Gastgeber ist extrem freundlich und bemüht - und hat uns sogar auf ein Abendessen in seinem Cafe eingeladen. Koya-san ist sehr gut erreichbar und auch Gojo ist einen Besuch wert. Für uns war es die mit Abstand beste Unterkunft auf unserer 3-wöchigen Japanreise. Nichts, wir können die Unterkunft zu 100% empfehlen.

• Horia (10/5): Excellent accommodation in a family run stay - Situated in a renovated traditional Japanese house, the host Shogo went above and beyond to help us with the logistics and to plan our three days stay in the area.
• SHINJI (9/5): - 部屋がとても広くてきれい。 シャワーが部屋にあるのも良かったです。
• HIROAKI (8/5): - 部屋も広く清潔だった。 シャワールームが少し狭かった。くつろげるソファーがあれば良かった
• haruna (8/5): - 宿の隣に駐車場があり、暑い日だったので助かりました！ お部屋は小さなシャワールームのみですが、歩いて5分ほど行くと地元の銭湯があり、駅前のご飯屋さんも15分圏内だったので色々便利でした。 色々お気遣いいただき、ありがとうございました！
• SEOUNGYOUN (9/5): - 조용하고 근처 10분거리에 온천, 마트, 중화요리집등이 있어 편리하고 주택가에 있어 조용하게 지낼 수 있어 좋았습니다. 다음에도 나라시 고죠에 갈일이 있으면 숙박할 것 같네요 근처에 편의점이 없어요.
• Katayama (8/5): リピート利用でしたが、また使いたいと思える宿です。 - 綺麗にリノベーションされた内装です。 共有部も広くて全体的に綺麗に清掃されています。 オーナーの方も気さくで親切な対応でした。 五條新町の街並みもよく散策も楽しめました。 近くにカフェ、スーパーなどもなり立地的にも使いやすいです。 五條新町の特徴上、道幅が広くはないので大きめの車の方は少し運転が大変なところがあるかもしれません。
• Keiko (10/5): 癒し - とても風情のある街並みの中にあり、お宿も素敵なつくりで、お部屋からは吉野川と山々が一望でき、最高のロケーションでした。オーナーさんも気さくで、とても心地よい滞在でした。また泊まりたいです なし
• Monika (10/5): Best evert - Das Beste, was wir in Japan erleben durften: der Vermieter hat sich sehr viel Zeit genommen, und all unsere Fragen beantwortet: er spricht fließend Englisch- das hat alles sehr erleichtert! Seine Tipps waren Gold wert: vom Mega-Tollen Okonomyiaki - Restaurant bis hin zur weitern Routenplanung (Feiertage und touristische Infos inkludiert), eine wunderbare Unterkunft, in historischer Umgebung. Saubere, grosse Zimmer, komfortabel. Gemeinschaftsküche Top ausgestattet - PERFEKT
• masayuki (10/5): 隠れ家的古民家 - 高野山に朝一で向かうために、宿泊しました。 部屋が広くて綺麗で、景色もすごく良くて贅沢に過ごすことができました!高野山へのアクセスも良く、お気に入りの宿が一つ増えました♪ 五條には初めて来ましたが、風情があってもっと滞在していたかったです。次回は五條新町の町並みを歩きながらゆっくりと散策したいと思います。 ありがとうございました! 共同キッチンの調味料が、もう少し置いてあったらもっと有り難かったです。

• Ourdia (10/5): Tout est parfait - Famille très chaleureuse et bienveillante. Disponible pour nous aider sur la programmation de nos visites. Onsen et restaurant à 10 mn a pieds. Situation parfaite. Maison tres propre avec une très belle vue sur les montagnes. Literie excellente, ma meilleure nuit au japon depuis 3 semaines. Si je repasse dans le secteur je reviendrai avec plaisir.
• Nur Rafiqah (9/5): - Shogo was incredibly kind and welcoming, he even helped us check in even though we arrived late. The room was spotless and exceptionally comfortable. We truly appreciated the warm hospitality. Highly recommended! No iron
