• CeeCee (9/5): Where to stay in Chiang Rai - I loved this quaint, friendly, homely atmosphere. The staff were very accommodating and the room clean and well kept. OMG, can I start on the esthetics. On entering, it was like being in another world. Plants everywhere. Strategic seating, water... it's the place of dreams. Picture worthy. Short and too the point. The bathroom was nice and big. But sharing the room with another person, and one I don't know as well to feel comfortable, having just glass as a separation was awkward. The bathroom door [glass] didn't shut probably, and it had what we referred to as the peep hole. Also, there was a weird opening covered by lace curtain at the end. I guess for ventilation.

The rooms were clean, bright and very comfortable, and the A/C provided a welcome respite from the heat of an April day. Every day they came in and made up the rooms quickly and without prompting. Breakfast was good and service was great - the server remembered our rooms and preferences each day, making it feel very familiar. Service in general felt authentically friendly too. I would return there without hesitation. There is nothing I can identify here.
• J (10/5): Relaxing and convenient - I had an amazing stay with Sooknirund Hotel Chiang Rai. Bedroom was huge, clean and well designed. I even have my own espresso machine. Staff were very friendly and always greet you with a smile. They work really hard to maintain the cleanliness of the place and even changed the water in the waterfountain near the lobby area. It was such a welcoming and relaxing place to stay. The location was perfect, very near the local market, Saturday Night market, 711, restaurants, cafes and shops just a few steps away. I would definitely come back when I visit Chiang Rai again. Also, thank you to all the staff who prepared my breakfast for takeaway as I needed to leave early upon check out. What an incredible team. :) I highly recommend it to anyone who is visiting Chiang Rai. None

Rooms are neat and clean, beds are comfy and breakfast has sufficient items to get you started in the morning. Best thing is although the hotel location is in the town, once you are in the hotel premises, you feel amidst the nature. There can be issue of mosquitoes entering the room if you or cleaning staff keep the room door open for long.

• Sanyanupharb (7/5): Overall, this hotel is quite good and offers a pleasant stay. However, we believe it has the potential to be even better - The hotel is in an excellent location, very close to the Chiang Rai Clock Tower, which makes it easy to explore the city on foot. One of the highlights is the convenient parking area, which can accommodate several cars and makes traveling by car very comfortable. The common areas are beautifully maintained, peaceful, and surrounded by greenery, creating a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere throughout the stay. However, there were a few aspects that we did not particularly like. We noticed several areas in the room where the finishing and maintenance could be improved. For example, there were visible mold stains on parts of the ceiling, possibly caused by humidity issues. In addition, the bathroom floor, especially around the corners and edges, also showed signs of mold. These details affected the overall impression of cleanliness, and we felt it was necessary to deduct some points for this aspect. Another concerning issue was the presence of a very large wooden crate placed in the common area near the elevator. In our view, this could pose a potential safety risk to guests, particularly in the event of an emergency or any unexpected situation. We hope the management will address these matters to ensure a safer and more comfortable stay for future guests.

• Nadya (9/5): - Great boutique hotel in the center of Chiang Rai. The place is really unique and historic. It has a charm and I liked its unique design with clocks everywhere. The breakfast was delicious, the staff is friendly. It is not perfect: some furniture is chipped and the walls and floors in the corridors need repainting but the hotel is unique and will add character to your stay in Chiang rai.

The staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was good with a wide variety of options.” “First of all, when we entered the room, we were greeted by a musty, moldy smell. Although the room itself was clean, there were issues with ventilation, which resulted in mold on the bathroom ceiling. In addition, after our arrival we were shocked to discover that the bathroom wall was made of frosted glass — the entire bathroom, including the toilet. This type of partition does not block either odors or noise. Furthermore, if one person goes to the bathroom during the night, turning on the light will inevitably wake the other person who is trying to sleep. Even after 11 years in a relationship, I can confidently say that I’d prefer to keep some mystery about what my partner does in the bathroom. Because of this, there were times when I ended up sitting out in the hallway just to preserve our privacy. I’m attaching a few photos so you can better understand what the issue was. 😅 We laughed about it for three days, and we still do — it definitely added an unexpected twist to our vacation. 😂”

El diseño de las habitaciones no está bien pensado ,al menos, para turistas europeos. No tiene sitio suficiente para que los viajeros dispongan sus cosas, faltan cajones armarios, colgadores... The common spaces were bright and clean and tastefully designed. Our room was big and welcoming. Though it didn't have a view, it was very quiet. A pillow that better supports the neck would have been better. Also, the phone light was flashing green, lighting up the dark room at night in equal intervals. But these are just the small stuff not to sweat over.

• Len (10/5): Perfect Hotel in Chiang Rai - We loved everything about this hotel from the excellent staff at check-in to our wake-up call and check out. The room was beautiful and well appointed with everything we needed. The shower and bathroom were great. Breakfast was delicious with great coffee, fruit, an egg station and lots of other options. The location was perfect; a 10 minute walk from the bus station where we came from Chiang Mai and close to a lot of attractions like the night bazaar. We would definitely stay here again if we came to Chiang Rai we can't think of any way they could have improved our experience.

• Ada (9/5): - Great location, easy walk to different temples and restaurants. The night market is not too far to walk to but there is always a tuktuk by the hotel for a quick ride. Beautiful property with water features and greenery, very pleasant. Free water and soft drinks in the fridge is a nice touch. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The onsite restaurant is also very good and prices are competitive to local restaurants. All in all a great hotel to stay in Chiangrai.
