- Will (9/5): I really liked this unit. It’s the best Royal Kahana unit that I’ve stayed in so far. I’ve stayed in three others during - The property is in a good location. The unit was comfy and clean. I appreciate the amenities and the fact that I was provided soap for the washing machine and the dishwasher. Two minor things: The bathroom sink drained very slowly. I figured out why my last day of my stay. The stopper sits too low. It needs to be adjusted to sit a bit higher. No doubt the unit was clean and smelled fresh but the carpeting was dingy in a few spots. Needs a deep cleaning if that possibly works. As an Airbnb host myself, I’ve had to deal with this and sometimes deep cleaning doesn’t work. But I thought I’d let you know my observations.
- Marjorie (10/5): Even though the weather wasn’t the best, being able to stay in a comfortable condo made being stuck inside an enjoyable - I always love the Royal Kahana. This was the first time staying in 909. I really enjoyed being on the opposite side of the pool but still close to the front of the building. Instructions were clear for check-in and check-out. Location is very convenient even being far from Kahului. I didn’t love the shower, but that was personal preference of the partial wall, nothing was actually wrong with it. I did love that it had two shower heads, one attached and one handheld. That made showering young kiddos a lot easier!!
- Morgado (10/5): - View was amazing and trade winds through the room during all times of day in summer meant we didn't need ac which was comfortable. This also meant sleeping with sound of ocean through the night which was an amazing experience. Bathroom shower and toilet areas are very tight and closing for to bathroom requires gymnastics.
- Edward (4/5): Great view but overpriced property. - Great view, spoiled by cockroaches in kitchen and filthy carpet Cockroaches in kitchen and old dirty carpet needs to be replaced. Additional parking fee imposed upon arrival.
- Coreen (10/5): It was a nice unit & A beautiful view of the ocean. The bed was very comfortable. - The AC/heat had to be turned on & Off at the circuit breaker & The temp couldn't be adjusted. I know that's not the owners fault. The whole resort needs to be renovated for that to be fixed & That will be very expensive. Only thing that the kitchen needs is potholders, If the oven is being used. Couldn't get the light in the dining room to turn on, The fan worked.
- Heath (5/5): Have had a better unit here! - A nice condo facility. Have a nice pool and close to the beach. Also the staff are very friendly. Curtains are terrible. Did not close all the way. Also not light filtering. Refrigerator was filthy. Batteries in thermostat and t.v. remote were dead. Our first night there was horrible without any air conditioning. Went to the store the next day and purchased batteries for both. Shower gross! This unit not maitained very well. Also ceiling fan in bedroom does not work. Having a hard time understanding why the cleaning fee is so expensive and they even ask you to wash all dishes in dishwasher and vacuum the unit.
