• Lily (6/5): Reasonable place, kind and attentive staff but wouldn’t stay again - The restaurant/bar was lovely and I had some great cocktails there The staff were friendly and attentive The pool was great The bed always felt wet. I think it was perpetually damp no matter how much I opened the door it always felt wet when I slept I also didn’t like that there was an aggressive dog who lives in the hotel and stays in the entryway. I think that this should be made clear because I wouldn’t have booked if I had known. I am scared of dogs so it made me quite anxious and made me feel like take a different route in/out of the hotel to the shortest route

• Patrycja (8/5): Nice place to stay in short term. - Nice hotel room. Bed was comfortable and staff was really nice (I left my bags in storage and this wasn't any issues). In general nice place to stay for short time. Really good value to the price! Location was really comfortable to move around Canggu. Hot water wasn't always there. Bathroom can be in better conditions and towels could be more new. My room was just in front from main doors, so no special view. But in general on plus.

• Brittany (6/5): Pick and choose your place to stay - I picked this place after a terrible night at another location, the staff were lovely and the pool was great. It’s nearly 1km away from the start of places to eat so be mindful of distance but we enjoyed getting our daily steps up. Loved the resident white and ginger cat. Old dog loves to bark but it was fine. Felt like we were the only people staying as we barely crossed anyone else, they were around through. I booked due to “soundproofing” unfortunately this didn’t exist, could hear the road all night it was very frustrating. Aircon could be abit better and our bed was alright. The power went out after a storm and took about 6hrs to restore (power company replaced something on the street, could have been a hot rough night)

Not brand-new, not luxury but absolutely fine for this price point. Staff is very nice! A bit far from the main busy areas, not by feet for sure but ok with motorbike.

• Mariia (10/5): Великолепный отельчик с красивой территорией! - Отель просто великолепный! Все чисто и аккуратно. Убирались каждый день и давали водичку. Сотрудники очень приветливые и всегда помогут. Сама территория очень красивая, есть ресторан и кафе на самой территории отеля, очень вкусные завтраки там. Бассейн чистый. Также очень удобное расположение, если вы на байке, то вообще супер. Только положительные впечатления, спасибо большое! Ближе к ночи, бывало, что не было горячей воды.

• Anna (4/5): It was pleasant enough for what I needed but wouldn’t stay again - The design was nice, the staff friendly and helpful. Location is also cute and well situated. I notified them of my early check in, which they were unable to accomodate (all good) but when I entered the room later at check in time the bedsheets, towels and bathroom looked like nobody had touched it to clean. They just remade/folded everything. After asking for a clean up and to change everything new, it was noticeably much cleaner than it was before. Paint, flooring etc. everything seems quite old and needs a touch up also.

• David (10/5): If your travelling to Canggu, book here now. - After searching several " reputable" accommodation options in Canggu, I settled on " Umphadi Canggu", and oh what a choice that was . All your ask for in hotel accommodation is the " Basic Necessities", Really Comfortable Bed, Nice Hot Shower, and Peace & Quiet at night, Umphadi Canggu delivered them all. The Terrace Brasserie ( the upstairs restaurant) delivers a lovely French inspired menu, at a reasonable price for the budget conscious traveller, and the terrace seating area out front is a great place to have a coffee or an ice cold bintang beer. The Staff lead by " Rina" on the front desk are probably the friendliest & most professional hotel staff I've ever dealt with, and I've stayed in a lot of hotels. Only a casual 15-20 min walk down Batu Bolong to Restaurants, bars & clubs of Canggu. All in All, I would definitely stay here again. There is a Cafe about 50 metres from the property down the hill, myself & a few other international guests gave it a try, but unfortunately, we ended up with some pretty severe stomach problems, beware.

• Daniela (8/5): Loved the staff and the pool! - The staff is incredibly nice! You have a few coffeehouses nearby, gyms, stores... But keep in mind that there are no sidewalks, so you need to be careful walking because the traffic is crazy. The pool is very nice and the restaurant too (although a little bit expensive when compared to others in the area). The hotel could use a retouch, some painting here and there. Also, because you need to keep the bedrooms mainly closed, it smells a little bit like mold. But nothing big, good value for money!

The pool area was a dream—serene, well-maintained, and the perfect place to relax. I also loved the peaceful surroundings, away from the hustle and bustle, but still just a short ride to Canggu’s best spots. The on-site restaurant, Mezze, was outstanding—delicious food, fresh ingredients, and great service. I enjoyed every meal I had there! Overall, Umpadhi Hotel is a true gem in Bali. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway with top-notch service, beautiful surroundings, and fantastic amenities, this is the place to stay. Can’t wait to return! Highly recommend

The room in the front is quite noisy from the street. The rooms with pool view are better. The building needs a bit of touch up here and there .. but still it's value for money

I love the coziness of the bedrooms, the hotel itself looking like a building from south of France, the super helpful staff. Plus the restaurant is excellent and great place to work! Really have a fond spot for this place :)

• Ebony (10/5): An experience that greatly exceeded all expectations - The location was serene (amid rice paddies at the top of Canggu) and the design of the hotel was beautiful. I didn't like the location of my first room (bottom floor) so the staff assisted in changing my room immediately. The staff were warm and friendly and went out of their way to assist me in every way possible. Everything I ate in the restaurant was incredible. I would definitely recommend Umpadhi to anyone travelling to Bali and would definitely love to stay again. Nothing.

• Ivan (6/5): It’s a great budget hotel if you like minimalistic environment. Perfect location. But the cleanliness and staff training - Swimming pool was nice. Decor is good and minimalistic. Food was tasty in the restaurant (but pricey). Location is great. Not too busy but still close to the centre of Canggu. The showers weren’t very clean. The towels had stains on them. The staff tried to charge me double the rate for my room (luckily my friend noticed). Food quite overpriced. The locks aren’t very safe. Seems like there was some sort of electric system, but it’s not working.

To get around Canggu you will need a motorcycle or use Gojeks.It's a 10-min scooter ride to the beach and the hustle and bustle of Canggu. The property is very clean and staff is wonderful.
