Guest Reviews
- Shirley (10/5): Thank you for a great stay - Had the best stay at this Hanok in Sajik-dong. It's located in a quiet area by Sejong Village Food Culture Street, 5 minute walk to get to line 3 of the subway, and within a 15 minute walk to Gyeongbukgong palace. The house has everything you need including toothbrushes and toothpaste, a washer and dryer, iron and ironing board. There is a cute bakery located right in front of the alley. The cream cheese buns and salt bread were my favourites. I've stayed in Hongdae and Gangnam but this Hanok was by far my favourite place in Seoul. You won't regret staying here. The steps to get into the Hanok are a bit high and there is only 1 bathroom which you can access through 1 of the bedrooms or through the courtyard. It wasn't too much of a problem for us.
- Salazar (10/5): Exceptional stay - peaceful and comfortable place - Location is fantastic! in the middle of the best restaurants we tried in Seoul.
The property is super clean and comfortable. All what you need for an awesome stay. No dislikes as such. However, getting to the property for first time may be a bit challenging as it is a bit hidden in the street - which may be a good thing as well :)
- Ludmila (10/5): - Perfekt!!!
- cindy (8/5): Quaint comfortable hanok in great location. - A very cute a cosy Hanok with the benefits of western beds and a renovated kitchen/bathroom.
So very close to a fabulous array of Korean eateries and major points of interest.
The courtyard gives an extra sense of spaciousness and lovely to sit in on a mild sunny day. The house is in a laneway and difficult to find with GPS. Many taxi drivers were confused too.
The bathroom is off master bedroom so other person/people need to access through this bedroom.

- Aurélien (8/5): - Calm stay if you wanna rest after walking Seoul the whole day. Check-in' instructions arrived a bit late and if you have trouble with network after landing, which was my case, it can be pretty difficult.
Water warming is very sensitive also.
- Julia (10/5): Beautiful, central, authentic and comfortable. - Charming and authentic, traditional and very conveniently located. Very thoughtful host. Very quiet, despite being in the center of so much life. Couldn’t recommend more! Nothing, it was the best

- Lynn (9/5): Wonderful 😍 - Unique experience 😍 Bathroom is tight .
- Paul (10/5): Loved the place and feel lucky to be able to stay there during our days in Seoul. - The guesthouse is a beautifully updated traditional Korean hanok /home.
It is well located near restaurants, cafes, tourist sites, bus and rail lines Just a little smaller than I expected from the photos.
- Ji Hyun (10/5): - Loved everything about this property. So close to everything, easy to check in and out, the staff was easy to reach via email/messages, and lots of amenities!
- Stefani (9/5): -

- Maris (9/5): Really lovely little place, excellent to experience hanok living in the heart of Seoul - Very pretty renovated hanok next to a street full of restaurants, many public transport options and the Gyeongbokgung palace. Great facilities - even laundry machine and dryer. For longer stays the biggest inconvenience is that the toilet is attached to the bigger bedroom, so if you want to go to the loo at night you'll most likely wake up the person sleeping in that room. Also everything is very compact, we were 2 and it was fine, but I'd say 3 people is max to feel comfortable.

- Angelika (10/5): Fantastic property! - Fantastic property, the location is incredible.
- 嬑純 (10/5): - 非常棒
- Hyun Myung (Sherly) (9/5): Lovely!! ❤️ - Super location in the hidden center of cute Seochon village where everything you need is only a stone-throw away. Nice garden and courtyard to chill down after a long day. It is a good place to experience the traditional Korean Hanok. All buses and metro towards the center of Seoul is just a block away. Not a dislike, but most of the furniture/bathroom are low-height and smaller compared to western standards, but that’s how the traditional Hanok is :) Just need to get used to it.

- Shi (9/5): A lovely Hanok-style stay — charming and unique. However, there’s only one toilet, and if you have a lot of luggage, the -
- Justin (10/5): Wonderful stay - Excellent condition, cleanliness, and location. This hanok is thoughtfully setup, nice kitchen, laundry, beautiful interior, and the surroundings are surprisingly very quiet. The road noise simply dissappears by the time you reach the residences in the alley. The host is great.
- Charmaine (9/5): Traditional hanok with modern amenities - Clean, well decorated with all the essentials. Loved that there were some games included for entertainment. Host allowed an early check in for our luggages. -
- Tyra (10/5): Exceptional - The space was so beautiful and we enjoyed how peaceful the area was. It is also very close to the palace and other lovely spots.
- King (8/5): Very good - Very unique and central .. there is plenty of good local food just 10m away yet very quiet to stay in The heating is too hot, I tried to adjust the temperature but it automatically turn on in the middle of the night
- Nuurol (10/5): Exceptional - Evrything was perfect
- Fynn (10/5): Exceptional - Nice place, nice location.
- Scorpiong (10/5): Memorable Hanok Stay in Seoul, South Korea - My family had a memorable stay at the hanok, especially during the last night when it snowed.
Situated at a prime location, it is walking distance to Gyeongbokgung Palace and there are many traditional Korean restaurants nearby.
There are many nostalgic games inside and outside the hanok which my whole family had lots of fun.
Overall, the stay was a memorable one and highly recommended for those who want.to experience staying at Korean traditional house. None. All good.
- Shakila (9/5): JNPStay was the best choice and was a superb introduction to a korean hanok! - - The hanok was exceptionally well-kept and everything was really clean and beautiful. The amenities provided were also above expectation and we really enjoyed staying and experiencing the traditional Korean house. - Finding the hanok was quite a struggle at first. It happened that during the day we checked-in, there was a huge protest and many streets were closed around the area and on top of that it was raining. Our taxi could not get to the place designated on the map but instead dropped us close by. It would have been helpful if the map indicated the walking route from Gyeongbukgong Exit 1 or indicated other landmarks like the Seoul Cultural Centre which is right by the hanok. When we eventually found the way it was very easy.
- The heating and hot water was also quite confusing. We didn't find much instructions so we dare not change the settings but it got too hot at night especially when sleeping on the floor.
- Zones (9/5): Lovely hanok stay :) - The whole house is so pretty. It has the hanok feels but at the same time with modern facilities..and that made our stay very comfortable. A lot of restaurants nearby. Walking distance to the palace and the train/bus stops. nothing :)
- Shirley (10/5): Fantastic stay in a hanok - A traditional hanok that's fully air-conditioned. Nothing.
- Ambrose (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lim (7/5): Good - Cosy and traditional homestay feel. Staff was helpful to accommodate request to deposit luggages before official check in timing. Water seepage from the bathroom room shower door.
Sunlight shining through the main bedroom where the raised platform bed situated during morning.
Washing machine did not have dryer function and useful to provide basic instructions in English/Chinese to guests who want to use the machine tp wash clothes as the instructions on the machibe panel in Korean and took 2hrs just to wash one round of clothes.
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Pin (10/5): Great place that I had good and memorable experiences with my sister in Korea. Thanks - Great location have items that is needed Need to find instruction manual first.
