The rooms were perfect: spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with super comfortable beds. The kitchen was well equipped. The lobby was also great, with coffee machines, items available to borrow, and even an happy hour. It was truly a wonderful stay, and we would be very happy to come back. Even compared with other MIMARU hotels, this one was excellent. Nothing.

• Joris (10/5): Tout le confort en plein centre de Kyoto, idéal pour une famille de 4 - Belle localisation pour cet établissement proposant tout le confort et prestations nécessaires à une famille de 4 pour passer une belle semaine à Kyoto. La machine à laver dans la chambre, hyper pratique, les lits super confortables, le personnel à la réception toujours dispo pour nous faciliter la vie. Et petit plus non négligeable, l’apéro du soir (bières artisanales, saké) à disposition quand on rentre d’une bonne journée de visite, tellement génial !

The staff were very helpful and there were additional specials like happy hour and use of yoga mats. Nothing it was all good.

• Hong (10/5): Great location & space for families! - Great location - close to train station, a ton of convenience stores, and just a few blocks from downtown and nishiki market. There's also a really great bakery right around the corner. The rooms and space was large and as described which was nice to have for our family. Also loved having a washer and dryer in the unit and a fridge! Staff was friendly and loved the happy hour lobby drinks!

Lobby happy hour with a variety of beer and sake included, as well as water/ice and hot chocolate. Spacious rooms with comfortable amenities. Helpful instructions for using the washer/dryer and AC remotes. Neither of our bedrooms has bedrooms which isn’t a huge problem, just surprising.

• Novaira (5/5): Convenient location and good option for larger groups with kids, but not a first choice hotel - The location was great. Very central and walkable. The staff was extremely helpful. The room was a lot smaller than what was portrayed in the listing and the washer/dryer took way longer than it should’ve (almost 4 hours for one cycle). When we first entered the room, there was a damp smell that went away by our second night. Also, we needed an iron and had to ask 4 times (over the course of 3 days) before getting one.
• Rubina (9/5): Overall, pricey accommodation but very spacious and comfortable. Staff are on premises until 10pm and very responsive. R - Spacious, clean property in a fairly accessible location. This property is not really walkable from Kyoto station and it’s difficult to travel with luggage on the subway so travelers should be aware that they will likely need to take a taxi/uber to/from Kyoto station if traveling with luggage. Also, some amenities like an iron are in short supply and must be reserved ahead of time (we were not able to secure one during our visit when needed unfortunately).

Not high end for the price but clean an - Location was great and in a safe area, easy access to the rail system. Very comfortable staying here with my family. The suites were way more spacious than the smaller hotel rooms in Japan. The staff were very helpful and communicated well in English overall. They had a variety of helpful pieces of info on things to do or where to go eat. The free bar was a nice touch for coffee, sake and beer (in the evenings). Not much I didn’t like. Some amenities like an iron weren’t readily available but were eventually but that’s a minor point overall. Other than that, the suites were pricey but you pay for what you get an in this case we wanted the extra space.

• vvtelschow (10/5): The perfect home-base with all the amenities and helpful staff that you would need! - Our stay here was after 4 days in Tokyo, so we liked having more of a home-feel as our base. It allowed us to do laundry, cook, and have more space for relaxing. I really didn’t care for the washer/dryer. It was not easy to figure out. It took way too long. And, most of the time, the clothes were still damp after over 3 hours in the small appliance.

• Carmie (10/5): Perfect spot for a family. - Great room set up, with two separate bedrooms, each with own bathrooms. Sitting area and separate dining area was super comfortable. Perfect set-up for our family of four. Best of all, happy hour every day! Tea, coffee, hot/cold chocolate, beer and sake! Staff at front desk were always helpful. Location was great, easy walk to subway and also to shopping and restaurants. Can't think of anything!
• Jill (8/5): Wonderful Suite to Spread Out In - The hotel was exactly what we were looking for. A bigger space to spread out with laundry in room. The laundry machine had an option to do wash and dry cycle together which was a game changer to make sure we always had fresh clothes in the morning. Kyoto in general does not as robust train/subway system so we did find out family of 3 walking or taking cabs more then we did in Tokyo.

Having 2 bedrooms & bathrooms was very nice. I wish the happy hour went a little longer and that there was even a very small breakfast offering.
• Kimberly (10/5): Hotel provided a comfortable, convenient, and welcoming place for a family to rest and recharge. - We liked the option of having two separate bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a small kitchen for our family of four. Everyone got a better sleep and could have some privacy when needed. We were very glad to have the sofa and small table and chairs to relax in at the end of long days of sightseeing. We enjoyed the charm of the neighborhood (including our view of the temple across the street) and the overall convenience of the location. We also loved the daily happy hour that featured local sake and beer options! The only troublesome thing was that one room did not have much floor space to lay out a large suitcase. We had to keep that one out in the family room area.

Location was great - walking distance to Lawson and 7 Eleven and a few steps to a temple. Minor complaint but the dining chairs should be replaced. The legs splay out and all five of us stubbed our toes and/or tripped on the chair legs at one time or another. Other than that, everything was wonderful.

• Nicola (10/5): Best affordable options for families close to transport - Without a doubt was our favourite accommodation in Japan. GREAT location, friendly staff, spacious room and so affordable. The free tea & coffee plus beer and Sake in the evenings went down a treat, plus they had so many other free activities like calligraphy . Was very close to metro line and also arrange luggage forwarding and even have same day between Mimaru suites. Highly recommend staying here especially if a family with older children as very spacious. Plus a washing machine in room which did washing loads in just 25mins and was a good wash Nothing, was perfect
• Michele (10/5): We loved having a comfortable ‘home’ to come back to every night, after long days out. - The location off the main street was both convenient and quiet so that was very nice. The hotel was immaculately clean and the staff attentive and very helpful. They even lend out umbrellas in case of rain. We were traveling with our adult son, and it was very difficult to make reservations from the US to convey that we needed a room with two beds, for three adults. Miramu suites made this a non-issue as the apartment setup provided two bedrooms and two bathrooms (and dedicated laundry!) affording us all our own, very comfortable space. We chose the Western style room, with Western bed, and comfortable bedding. The twin beds pushed together to create one bigger bed was fine, but would have been better if they could have been locked in place. They move apart and around a little too easily, which I understand is great for when adults require their own twin bed, but not so much when they don’t.

Loca - Clean, 2 bedroom suite was comfortable Did not like the complete lack of counter space or place to unpack my suitcase. Even a narrow console would be helpful. Very poor gloomy lighting in the living room at night, but our corner room had two windows to let in fresh air and sunlight in the day. An additional lamp in the living room would be extremely helpful. No coffee in the room for those that like to have coffee upon waking.
• Alyssa (9/5): Overall it was a great stay. The roomy apartment made it very comfortable for 3 people to share the space. - The 2 bedroom/apartment was very spacious in general and was very clean. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was very kind and helpful. As a bonus, it was nice to have the sake and beer happy hour every evening. The bedroom doors that opened into the hallway, if left open, were very dangerous at night when the 2nd bedroom passenger needing to go to the bathroom.
