• Darren (8/5): Cheap and cheerful. Perfect for a night out. - The location is perfect for a night out. The room was a good size and the bathroom was really clean. The staff were helpful and nice. The room is a little run down, blind broken/damaged. But this is reflected in the price. Perfect for a night out.

• Josephine (3/5): It was cheap so I suppose I got what I paid for but a decent mattress is a must on any hotel. And no - Quiet room. Tidy clean mostly No towels so I couldn't shower. And the worst lumpy mattress I've ever NOT slept on
• Emmanuel (2/5): - Minimalist comfort. The shower drain was clogged. I had to clean it. It was disgusting: an incredible amount of hair and lint saturated with filthy residue. The drain certainly hadn't been cleaned for six months, if not longer. In short: disgusting. The photos of the rooms don't reflect reality (at least not ours).

• James (1/5): Disgusting disgusting and needs investigating by the environment health - The room was disgusting and had bed bugs, the room was dirty and not fully clean . The corridors was dirty and unclean with a awful smell and dampness.
• Nicky (1/5): Horrible - Room was rotten, stuff all over the floor, looked like it hadn't been hoovered in months, dust and dirt in the corners of the room, what looked like what ever someone picked out there nose was smeared over the wall, bed sheets were covered in what I can only expect to be short and curlys, and the smell was vile, you would of thought someone had let there dog take a sh*t in the room, we walked in to that room and walked out straight away and refused to stay there, when. Telling the staff about it, all he could say was please contact booking.com, now I didn't expect a 5 star experience what so ever, but a clean room I did expect, that surely has to be standard in any hotel you go to no??

• Tomasz (8/5): Medium hotel - Very good location, fast and good communication Cleanliness. nke. to the end, there were no towels for the feet, the shower door was probably broken. It didn't close, only cold water ran in the sink. , At night at 3 a.m. the hotel guests returned from a party, shouted loudly and banged on the door hard.

• Neil (1/5): Not as per booking, poor customer service - Central location I booked a triple room but when we got there were no triple rooms available. Asked for an extra bed and/or extra bedding but told this was not possible. As it was late it wasn't practical to look at other hotels. Was very disappointed in the receptionists lack of customer service or concern. Left after the first night, was meant to be 2 nights. Was told I would be refunded for this but still chasing this up.

Was a cheap hotel so didn’t expect much but cleanliness shouldn’t change that Cleanliness the room it’s self was fine for the money! But should have been cleaner in my opinion.

• Gordon (4/5): - Very close to rail station. Remote access checkin Pretty run down. Cracked window and frames have gaps so a lot of noise and seagulls right outside making a lot noise. No black out curtains. Wasn't same as in pictures advertised. Needs a good refurbishment place could be great

• nicola (5/5): great location and price but more pillows please - the location to town centre and price are great there needs to be more pillows there was only one each, the door to our rattled when it was windy. got woken up at 5am with a group of folk coming back and unable to get into there rooms, not the hotels fault but they were hammering on various doors trying to get in. not put us off staying but if ur staying at hotel there should be consideration for other guest.

• Cameron (10/5): Excellent Apartment to stay in Gdansk - Location was excellent, clean and modern, excellent for a few days in Gdansk. Parking was a bit tight at the back of the apartment, the fold out beds were a bit damaged.
• Wing (7/5): Good value for money - staff friendly and efficient - basic no frills overnight accommodation. - Easy to find, parking on a Sunday night wasn’t a problem. 5pm Sunday till 8am Monday free. Entry to the room is secure with palm and pin access. Door locks well unlike some places where I just used a chair! Everything was clean and tidy. Bed was comfortable I was woken up every few hours by very loud seagulls. I know it’s not the hotels fault but it almost made me miss my wife’s snoring! Only enough coffee and milk for one cup provided in the room - wife wasn’t with me, so more than enough toilet rolls.

• EliAbz (3/5): Hard pass... definitely glad it was a single night. - Location in walkable to the centre. The place was in a right state. Shocking state of disrepair. Paints crumbling, corners dodgy, carpet musty from 40 years ago. My spine could feel the slats of the bed through the flabby mattress. Pillows gave me neck ache too. The photos have no relation with what I saw. Misleading. Also the name of the hotel is not Highland Aberdeen City Centre, but OYO Brentwood Aberdeen City Centre. Check the Google reviews yourself and decide. This was highly missold.

Lots of nearby places to eat The name of the hotel is actually Brentwood. We went round in circles before finding this out Inside the hotel is actually maze. But irs historic building so forgiven .

Beds sheets were clean, bathroom was clean and TV didn't work so had to use our own Netflix which was fine. Staff appeared pleasant. The walls in room had dirt on them.. the drawers beside the beds were clean on top and disgusting inside so we lived out our bags and the wardrobe handle was broken.. doors not sliding shut properly on wardrobe. The shower took nearly 2 hours to drain after a shower. 2 glasses in room and 3 cups for 4 of us and a desert spoon instead of a tea spoon. There was a lot of what appeared to be youngsters coming and going and making alot of noise till 3 in the morning.. walls are thin.. decor dated carpets need replaced window latch loose and not shutting properly

• Mark (1/5): Never, ever again. AVOID AVOID AVOID - Nothing Absolutely awful. Room looked nothing like the pictures advertised. Bed was brutal, worst I’ve ever slept on. Small with springs poking up on various areas of the mattress. Would not have got much sleep on a good mattress anyway, the constant banging and clanging of what I can only assume is the plumbing system would have kept us awake anyway. Shower was laughable, water intermittent with fluctuating temperatures. Checked in online as requested and was sent two door unlock codes, one for the main door and one for the room. After 10 minutes trying to get into the room with the code I was sent I went to reception which is in a totally different building only to be told the original code you get sent is a dummy code and they give you another code that opens the door. Place was full of drunken kids banging doors and shouting all night, made reception aware and nothing was done. Area around the hotel was also shocking Sorry, but to summarise, the place is an utter s**t hole and I would strongly advise people going and staying there
• Lynsey (8/5): No frills but fine 😊 - The hotel and room are very basic, could do with a make over but for the price and location it was perfect for me and my friend who were going to a gig at p&j live. Its no frills and perfect for a place to sleep for the night. The bed frame had some interesting stains on it but the sheets and bedding seemed fine.

• Ingirid (4/5): It ws warm and comfortable in the room. - The window did not close so traffic noise was irritating early on. No bulb in the bedside light. Kettle but no mug and teas etc. Such a long way to go down stairs and along passages and out of hotel and in by other door meant I did not bother to go to reception to get these things corrected.
