We didn’t pay enough money for the room ? I stayed one more day, paid Yen 52070 for that and would like to see someone telling me, that I still did not have the right to use the “hotel pool”. Discriminating and senseless. Truly unbelievable.

- Etienne (10/5): Amazing family trip in Tokyo. - Beautiful, amazing garden, staff were delightful with our kids. The pool was great, too bad it was only open for a few days during Golden Week and then closed again until June. Restaurants inside the hotel are good but very expensive. Walk out and enjoy amazing restaurants for much cheaper.

- luca (6/5): Non è un 5 stelle, al massimo un 4 - Unica nota positiva la posizione perché vicino alla metro, anche se a tokyo c’è una metro praticamente ovunque! Camera troppo vecchia, oggetti di arredamento vecchi e usurati, dotazioni troppo datate, siamo stati in 4’stelle sempre in Giappone molto molto meglio. La colazione di scarsa qualità, poca scelta, forse la parte orientale migliore di quella continentale, in alcuni giorni lunga fila per accedere alla sala colazione, inaccettabile per un 5 stelle. La sala colazione al 40esimo piano forse quella migliore, non è specificato che c’è un altra sala colazione che anche se hai acquistato pacchetto colazioni non è compresa e credo sia quella in cui ci sia uno chef a cucinare, in tutte le altre sale non c’è cucina dal vivo non si può chiedere un uovo e a mala pena siamo riusciti a chiedere un caffè! Tutte queste cose non sono assolutamente degne per un hotel che dovrebbe essere 5 stelle, non basta portare le valigie in camera o chiamare un taxi, bisogno fare di più perché lo fanno anche hotel meno stellati.

The bed was a little uncomfortable, the room feels a but dated but that is really looking for flaws. Amazing hotel, would have no hesitation rebooking.

- Siew Pheng (7/5): Hotel desperately needs an update. In its current stay i'm not sure how it's rated 5 star - Staff and service were great. Location was not bad if you want somewhere different from the typical tourist haunt. Food and transportation close by, but no shopping. The interconnecting rooms we got were quite old. The mattresses were not good, no support and not what a 5 star rated hotel.

- MICHAEL (9/5): A classy hotel that will always be my go to place when vacationing in Tokyo - I enjoyed the clean and comfortable rooms, the luxurious feel of the property and the friendly staff. The beds were very uncomfortable. They were rock hard.

Esto nos resultó muy incómodo con las maletas. Después por booking nos mostraron un hotel con piscina; lo q para mí era muy importante. Al llegar la piscina no estaba incluida. El personal del lobby( para checking y check out muy poco amable y además hablaban mal inglés; se les entendía poco.

Staff wonderful and we were particularly impressed with the Concierge who gave great advice to help us get the most out of our stay. Spectacular gardens, illuminated at night. Good choice of many restaurants with good, great value, choices and delightful shopping arcade. Excellent experience from start to finish.
- 71anthonyb (8/5): Pre cruise stay - Hotel was chosen for us as part of a tour. Proved to be a good choice - comfortable bedroom, great views, marvellous gardens and good location. The food and drink is pricey for what you get -the buffet breakfast at Y6000 was a meagre offering ( slight better at the cafe on F40 than at the garden lounge). However the buffet dinner at Y15000 was worth it.

- Elodie (9/5): Super hôtel luxueux avec vue incroyable - Hôtel hyper confortable et bien placé. Très grandes chambres et petit déjeuner international au 40eme étage avec une vue fabuleuse sur Tokyo. Parc au rez de jardin magnifique. Il paraît que c’est l’hôtel où est descendu le président français lors de son dernier passage japonais. Comportement des Russes ivres dans les chambres adjacentes… Mais l’hôtel n’’y est pour rien.

- Christine (8/5): Overall it was a nice hotel that I would recommend to everyone - The staff and the cleanliness of the rooms I didn’t feel the staff at the patisserie in the main tower lobby was friendly. It felt like they cater only to the rich.

- Georgina (7/5): Great central landing pad with gorgeou garden - worth it for the Tokyo skyline views and retro rooms - Great location and views were fantatsic, I liked the style of the rooms, had a 70's feel which was fun. The carpets across the building were like a migraine fever dream - these really date the property and not in a cool retro way! The buffet breakfast was expensive and not that nice. The hotel felt a bit disconnected as it's two hotels in one and hard to works=out where to go - its a rabbit warren.

Somehoow your booking site gave impression that breakfast was included. It mentioned carry out or room service was extra. That gave impression breakfast was included in daily rate but it was not. Description was NOT very clear. Extra fee for breajfast.

Beautiful view of the Japanese gardens, great location, very organized dispite the size of the hotel. - We stayed for about 7 days at this landmark hotel and we found the facikuty to be located in a great location. The staff was beyond excellent and able to accomodate our needs. There are plenty of restaurants to chose, stores, and great views to the illumiated Japanese gardens. My only complaint were the cold eggs in the morning but we asked the staff for new eggs from the kitchen and they ordered them. If you need scrambled eggs eggs in the morning there is an extra fee for that. This should be changed and a cook should be availlable for omelets in the morning. There is a waiting time for breakfast due to the amount of oeople.

- BTS1972 (8/5): Nice Garden and Central Location - The Otani Garden is located close to the Metro Net and comparably close to the National Museum and the palace. The hotel's own japanese garden and the view from the tower rooms are vrey fine. However, the service and the breakfast have room to excel. Especially annoying is the overcrowdedness at breakfast. For Asian standards, a normal four star hotel, which does not play within the top row. But the garden is superb and their major asset.
