Also the picture of sea view room looks loads better than in reality… that said it’s still a great place to stay other than that

Strømmen forsvant i tide og internett var vekke samtidig. Stod i dusjen og strømmen forsvant. Måtte vente 5 minutter til strømmen kom tilbake. Mye støy fra borre maskiner. Ingen sjø utsikt. Ingen som bar opp kofferter.

Happy Vikings is situated across from the beach and the rooms are above the restaurant that has live performances daily, which sound great and do not run on too late. Food at Happy Vikings was lovely - we enjoyed many of the Thai dishes and the mojitos were good too! Bedroom was large and was everything my sister and I needed. Bed was comfortable too. Would definitely stay again!

- Thomas (7/5): - Nettes Personal und gleich am Strand Eine Bar im EG mit Livemusik bis 1 Uhr früh. Schöne Bar und schöne Musik. Aber zu lange und zu laut.
- Gido (8/5): Leuk hotel aan het strand met elke dag live muziek. - Uitzicht over de oceaan. Elke avond live muziek in de hotelbar met een volledige band. Goede keuken met Europese en Thaise gerechten. De Wi-Fi internet is eigenlijk gewoon slecht en waarschijnlijk erg verouderd. Ik heb hier een week gezeten en eigenlijk altijd mijn phone gebruikt als hotspot voor mijn laptop.

- Lee (8/5): - Room was very nice with a great balcony overlooking the sea. Staff were friendly and booked me a driver to take me to the airport when i left. Avoid the room above the resteraunt as the band play till gone midnight and its very loud! No elevator.

The staff not seem so interested in you as a hotel guest because they are busy in the bar, which not make you feel welcome from the arrival to the ”hotel”. It’s more a bar than a hotel

Expect the following: - The bathroom was in poor hygienic condition. - The room was infested with insects, including mosquitoes, and we encountered a cockroach, which we had to kill. - There was extremely loud live music directly beneath the room, played daily from approximately 7:30 PM to 12:30 AM, making it impossible to sleep or rest.

I was in Room 103 and the WiFi was pitiful to useless. This day and age I think solid WiFi availability is a requirement in the service industry.

- Dirk (4/5): - Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer und die Einrichtung sind schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen was noch OK wäre wenn in dem Hotel nicht noch eine Band jeden Abend spielen würde. Die Spielen von 19:30 bis 0:00 Uhr manchmal auch gerne länger. Die Band ist gut aber an Schlaf in der Zeit ist nicht zudenken extrem Laut das können sie vergessen. Deshalb nicht zu empfehlen.

Det var veldig høy musikk fra liveband nede fra ettermiddagen og til etter midnatt/01.00. Alt ved dette stedet var helt utslitt og burde kanskje hatt maks 1 stjerne. Hadde betalt for 5 netter men jeg flyttet derfra etter 2 netter siden det ikke var mulig å slappe av der.

One of the best places I had stayed in Jomtien 🙏🏻 a small problem with my safe was fixed straight away 👍🏻🇹🇭 I have no problem with the Happy Viking and would happily stay there again 👍🏻🇹🇭

- Tony (3/5): Noise, noise, noise - Location is great, right across from the beach. Beach towels are available. Buffet breakfast is very good value. Big room with good wifi, can plug firestick in to TV for international channels (dongle needed), A/C and ceiling fan very good. Lots of sockets and bedside lights. Moved fridge off floor on to table (as always) as I'm not Thai and don't squat to open the fridge, try it. Noise, noise, noise. After 3 nights we were done yet had to endure another 4. Booked top floor room (from phitos) yet got 1st floor room (104) right above the bar with live band which plays from 19:30-00:15 (& sometimes gone 1am) EVERY NIGHT. Cannot hear yourself speak on the balcony at night (albiet it is free, live, and exceptionally good band). The tin roof of the bar reflects the heat so during the afternoons the heat is unbearable!! Asked for higher room when arrived (it was full, yet we had booked top floor!) then again after 3 nights, was offered free breakfast, which we took. Road noise is also a big problem, 24hrs a day. Ended up using ear plugs. No blackout curtains so challenging to sleep during the day for a siesta. Would not return and would not recommend, there are many other more suitable places locally.

- litzen (2/5): - die Mitarbeiter waren relativ freundlich.Die Lage, wenn nicht gerade Baustelle ist! das ist so ungefähr das schlimmste Hotel, in dem ich bisher war, ein schlechteres hatte ich nicht auf booking.com. Zimmer total veraltet, Möbel wie vom Sperrmüll, und eine Aussicht vom Balkon zum abgewöhnen! Das neueste war der TV, den ich im Urlaub nicht benutze! So wollte ich meine Urlaubstage nicht verbringen und bin in ein anderes Hotel ungezogen, da man mir kein anderes Zimmer geben wollte oder konnte, auch nicht gegen Aufpreis, ich denke aber nicht, dass die besser sind. Außerdem war/ist vorm Hotel eine Riesenbaustelle, die keinen schönen Blick aufs Meer zulässt! Die großen Koffer mussten natürlich auch über zwei Stockwerke hochgetragen werden, es wurde keine Hilfe angeboten!!

En person i personalen som verkligen gjorde att man känner sig välkommen är Nid; någon så genuint trevlig o hjälpsam person får man leta efter. Happy Vikings ska skatta sig lyckliga över att ha en sån pärla i personalen. Tredje våningen utan hiss kanske inte är en höjdare...Om man inte behöver lägga sig tidigt är livebandet inget större problem.

- Hermann (7/5): - Lage war sehr gut, direkt am Strand. Ich wurde Herzlich Empfangen...sogar 5 Stunden vor dem "normalen" Check In !!! Check Out früh am Morgen unkompliziert...einfach den Schlüssel unten Abgelegt. (gibt also keine 24 Stunden Rezeption, aber einen Sicherheitsmann) Was man vielleicht wissen sollte...es spielt jeden Tag von 19:30 bis 24:00 Uhr eine Live Band...die ist zwar nicht schlecht, aber bis 24 Uhr ist es schon ziemlich laut...und das mit dem Aufzug ist war...es gibt keinen, aber 3 Stockwerke...und ich bekam ein Zimmer ganz oben...aber zumindest mit Meerblick !! Und ja....noch was...aus dem Wasserhahn im Bad kam sehr wenig Wasser, zum Zähne Putzen hats aber gereicht, und die Schublade vom Besteck sollte Repariert werden... (Zimmer 306)
