- Moloi (5/5): Convenient, nice place. It’ll be way better after the renovation is done. - The convenience of getting the key and being able to check in so late. It still looked like it’s still being renovated, the dust/mold was unpleasant.
- Kabelo (1/5): Horrible - They double booked the rooms and only told me when I got to Durban, mind you I’m traveling from the north west province. When I ask for my refund immediately so that I could book another accommodation the said I could only get the money the next day. I had to cancel my overnight plans and go back home due to their incompetence. Places like this give booking.com a bad reputation The views pity they are so incompetent
- Simone Kelly (5/5): -
- Tanya (8/5): It was a quick stop. Area was nice - The view was spectacular. nice cozy apartment, can't wait to see the new development The room wasn't ready when we arrived at 15h00. Te gate didn't work when we wanted to leave. They could add more fans, it was very hot and humid
- Patricia (1/5): Do nt book this place - I didn't like anything they sold us a dream... The pictures are nothing like the place its like i was in a horror movie If u reading this review trust me u dont want to book at this place.. The place was dirty... The tv was nt working, they had no broom or mop for the unit. The stove was a two plate one and had no microwave the utensils didnt hv a divider they just put them in one drawer.. The pot are old and filthy. They have a small kettle that only make tea for 2 ppl. But they hv a 3 bedroom unit doesn't mke sense really.. They house mind left the min we arrived i think she was scared that we will ask for things that they dont hv.. The grass was nt cut we had to walk in grown grass.. Lol my god the only room with a view is a dream the door is old and its broken u cnt open to see that view in the morning.. The windows are broken. The toilet is leaking.. And the most horrifying thing was the rats they had rats lol wat a joke bookings. Com must remove this house immediately all safety protocols where nt met... Never again im crying for my money wat a bad long weekend..

- Ndlovu (7/5): - It was very clean had so much space lovely and peaceful place The microwave issue we had to borrow from the other house
- Refilwe (10/5): - Quite and clean linen No bath tab
- Nathan (6/5): The place is beautiful and I would visit again just need tlc - The. View Not clean or keep while staying their
We could not even clean as their was no brooms or mobs
The doors were not closing
- Ela (1/5): The worst stay in South Africa. Don’t stay there. - Beds were OK (clean sheets) and the view is nice from the backyard. The rest is terrible. This place looks like a rundown frat house: dirty walls, pots & pans burned beyond cleaning, missing chair, dirty couch, etc. Not one window or door closes properly including the entry door. Gate opener doesn’t work so gate is opened by hand.
In the middle of the night we saw a rat rummaging around and there is a resident frog in the toilet bowl.
This place screems for major refresh. Cleaning lady does her best but there is nothing she can do to make this place look neat.
The place is managed by a company who plans to tear this house down and build condos. In the meantime trying to earn on rental.
Terrible communication, just automated messages.
- Wayne Marsden (7/5): - The location
- Kendy (7/5): -
- sheena (2/5): - The only good thing was the view. Owner of place was extremely rude . We we informed only on the day of check in that the are hosting a viewing on thr Saturday and expected us to be out of the property for a certain amount of time which was super ridiculous. Lack of communication with the owner and person who manages the place . No basic cutlery or kitchen equipment . No wifi yet it is on their list of facilities. Terrible pathetic management skills .
- Roma (1/5): We did not stay. We could not. The place was musty and damp and not clean at all! - We liked the location being close to the Talouola wedding venue. We arrived late, around 10pm. Collected the keys and entered the property that was in total darkness. Not even one outside light to guide your way. We walked in to find a musty damp smell, and all the windows were open. There were bugs all over the beds, and lizards and lizard droppings on the bed. The place on the website is deceiving. The level of cleanliness is very poor. Its not a place you can stay with small kids. I require a refund. We did not stay. We left immediately. I informed the host that I was not staying. She responded with "Oh Ok"
- nomthandazo (1/5): WiFi was not working but it say yourl Habe it - The rooms No swap No soap
- Calvin (7/5): - A few things have to be fixed
- Bronwyn (6/5): Just a bit of time and care, and it's great! - The view is amazing! The place needs a good clean and some maintenance, light bulbs not working, missing cutlery, broken pane, windows latch, black cob webs around the entrance, dirty drawers.
- Nelson (3/5): - The setting & view The unit.
Was not clean (up to standard).
Hardly any crockery or utensils.
Doors not properly done (broken)
No amenities like, shampoo or body wash.
Extra toilet rolls, tea or coffees / creamer & sugar.
No plug points in the rooms. Or in the kitchen & lounge.
- Mlungisi Mbuso (10/5): -
- Jane (2/5): - Just the view Place was dark, and did not feel safe,as windows no blinds or curtains, broken windows and doors
- Bongiwe (8/5): -
- Flo (8/5): Very good -
- Natasha (6/5): Pleasant - A microwave
- Brink (10/5): Very nice and comfortable stay - The location and the facilities are absolutely amazing Our keys were missing and it was difficult finding the correct unit. Little signs marking which unit is which will sort this out
- Amy (4/5): So much potential but the place was grubby and run down. I wouldn’t be keen to stay here again. - Location and view Run down, damp smell, felt dirty. No basic bathroom soap or kitchen cloth. No attention to detail.
- Sizwe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Van (6/5): Pleasant -
- Ngeleka (8/5): Very good -
- Chelsea (10/5): The entire place was stunning, the view was a bonus☺️ -
- Suzanne (5/5): Passable - Nice view Lack of cleaning tools and products, little cutlery and glassware
- Gavin (5/5): Passable -
- Mavimbela (7/5): Good -
- Lavish (4/5): Absolutely disappointing - Excellent location with great views More detail should be given to cleaning and facilities before renting it out. For a 6 sleeper, the facilities such as kettle, stove and pots were too small. The TV didn’t even work and we stayed for a whole week.
- Mavimbela (5/5): Passable -
- Samantha (5/5): Adequate and peaceful with great views. - the views are amazing and the building has charm with its original flooring and layout The charm of the place has been lost due to lack of maintenance. it just needs a good paint and some things need to be paid attention to but otherwise it was adequate enough. the bathroom basin was loose, bedding was clean but my one pillow case was torn.
- Cleo (6/5): Pleasant - Location and good value for money No wifi
Guests in the other units were rowdy all night
Ants crawling all over the kitchen!
Again, no dish cloths or roller towels!
Shower still has no doors , and we had to bring our own shower gel
- Muhammad (7/5): Good -
- Van (7/5): Cozy - The rooms are cozy
- Sambulo (8/5): Very good -
- Anele (2/5): Very poor -
- Aphiwe (7/5): Good -
- Tanja (4/5): Area and view is beautiful. Property needs work. - The view Staircase railing was very rickety. No fans in any of the rooms so rooms were very stuffy after closing windows to keep mosquitos out. Code provided didn't work for the key lockbox. Luckily maintenance guy there was able to get the box open for us. Shared garden so my dog could not be off lead when outside the house. This meant leaving the door closed. Shower is open so after showering tiles were wet and this made it very slippery.
- Ntanzi (9/5): Superb -
- Siyo (7/5): Good -
- Laufs (6/5): Pleasant - Location is great The accommodation is a bit run down.
- Shivoni (1/5): Horrible! - Cleanliness was beyond poor! The host never got back to me. We ended up checking out and leaving the property. The hygiene and cleanliness.
- Shaylen (8/5): Very good - The stay was great. Property was easily accessible, views were perfect and great for a peaceful, family getaway. Some of the plugpoints did not work. Apart from that, the stay was great.
- Ntombi (9/5): It is one of a very few gems in the area. - The house was very clean and had a lovely view. It is also situated in a perfect area next to Phezulu Safari Park.
We checked in very late in the evening, but they were so accommodating and explained everything in a calm manner, so we truly appreciated that a lot.
We would definitely recommend this place, and we will certainly come back for a few more days. I think I speak for a few people when I say we would appreciate having bath soap or shower gel for emergency purposes.
- Sivesetfu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Palesa (7/5): Our 1 night stay was great. It was home away from home. The majority of the facilities were good. - The electricity issue of plugs not working downstairs but we communicated with the host and an alternative plan was given to us.
- Cleo (7/5): Has the potential to be fabulous, but no just yet! - Location, beautiful views. None of the plug points in the kitchen were working. No plugs next to the bed in the 1 bedroom, poor communication, very watered down dish washing liquid, no dish cloths or even a roller towel in the kitchen, no soap in the shower, the shower didn't have a shower curtain so water splashed everywhere.
- Bongiwe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Khumalo (3/5): Poor - The view of nature The house did not supply certain essentials life dish cloths broom or mop. All plugs in the kitchen was not working we had to move the fridge to the passage an connect extension cord to make it work no microwave 😭 kettle is is for a 2 sleeper vs the house which is a 6 sleeper. The shower had no glass.
- Nokuthula (10/5): Exceptional -
- Khanyisile (5/5): Decent but cold with no WiFi - It has three bedrooms with comfortable beds and luxurious feeling linen. The views outside are truly breathtaking. The basics in terms of utensils and crockery are available. There is a medium sized fridge. Check-in and out are extremely simple.
The place is as of 23 September 2024, worth ~R800 per night in MY opinion. The unit basically has no WiFi. The WiFi barely works in the main bedroom. I couldn’t even join a Google Meet call with the WiFi while I was in the bedroom. I eventually used my own data to join the hour long call. The WiFi does NOT work at all in the rest of the unit. So passage, bathroom, bedroom two, bedroom three, lounge, kitchen NO WIFI. For all intents and purposes, the unit has NO WIFI. It’s an odd thing this WiFi thing because all that is needed is an extender. Such an easy solve, yet it’s not solved.
I would not recommend the property in winter. The unit is quite cold. And there are no real extra blankets, just fleece blankets. We were lucky that we had family in a village nearby. So we drove in the middle of the night to go fetch extra blankets because we wouldn’t have slept a wink in the cold unit.
The unit also just generally feels incomplete. It really felt like a decent unit by township standards. Windows don’t close properly. Bathroom seems incomplete. Painting was incomplete/poorly done. No wardrobes. No microwave. Some of the teacups were stained inside. A tv the size of a computer monitor screen.
- Mpilonhle (10/5): Exceptional - The view was perfect We were short of supplies like toilet paper, the utensils were not enough and the property had no microwave
- Rentia (10/5): Exceptional -
