• Casey (10/5): Friendliest, most comfortable and value for money in Seminyak - We had an absolute pleasure staying at the Bali dream villa, from the moment we arrived Hamsah accommodated our every need, went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing stay. Recommended us sites, helped us with arranging taxi to see local sites, with their awesome driver Komang. Buffet breakfast every morning, fantastic room service, the list goes on. Can't thank these guys enough, we are looking forward to staying again on our next visit. We didn't want to leave, can't fault the place at all
• Anthony Swords (6/5): Good without being brilliant. - Having our own private area with a larger group. Breakfast was ok. Inadequate cooling in common family room. All bedrooms worked well but this room did not. Staff responded by adding in a portable unit which made no difference then by adding a second portable unit which also made no difference. In the end everyone just stayed in their own bedrooms which did spoil the atmosphere of our family holiday a bit. The venue cannot continue to hire out this venue as an upper end venue without updating the air conditioning in the main family room. Only other critique was that there were multiple vehicles on site but never any drivers, which made them pointless. Ok apart from that.
• Shane (5/5): Expensive for what it is - It was a beautiful Villa if a bit dated. The pool was cloudy the entire time we were there. The finishings are poorly done, water leaked from the shower pan to all over the floor. The fridge never got cold.
• Lena (1/5): Visually appealing but uninhabitable - The friendly staff, and the pool was spacious used to seek refuge from mosquitoes and toxic fumes from mothballs The lower level bedrooms have outdoor bathrooms- smells of mothballs and lack of privacy and security as bathroom door connects to bedroom with walk through wardrobe lacking locks. Air ventilation is poor, as you have to hold your breath as you walk through the stale heat trapped air in the wardrobe. Mosquito nets over the bed offers little to no comfort as there are gaps everywhere and the smell of frangipanis is used to mask the true smell of the bedroom. As the sliding doors don’t sit on the tracks and windows do not close properly, the gaps allow the hot outside air and all sorts of creepy crawlies to enter the bedroom. Access to upper floor bedrooms presents many challenges as you have to navigate around the pool without misstepping and slipping and the small staircase is old and its structural soundness is questionable. The bedrooms on the upper floor have indoor bathrooms, but the smell of mothballs and mould is torturous and toxic. In the interest of my family’s health and safety we vacated after seeking alternative accommodation.

• Ballinger (7/5): Beautiful scenery and villa - It is a beautiful private villa, so pretty and lush. The private pool was amazing in the heat, and the staff so nice and helpful. We spent a lot of time in the outdoor verandah as it was like a lounge room. We stayed here many years ago and noticed some maintenance had been neglected over the years. There are works and improvements happening, so we are hoping these issues will be addressed. Mosquitoes are an issue, but to be expected.

Was a nice villa First night woke up in the morning to find there was something sharing our room, had eaten through the welcome fruit basket, in 45 years of overseas travel have never experienced the worst breakfast selection, fish fingers and corn gems, instant coffee and coffeemate milk powder for a start , the traffic outside the property is dangerously scary to walk anywhere , was annoyed they couldn’t upgrade us after vermin in our villa and were unable to use the pool because of hard access because of steep steps, but decided to charge us $100 Aust a night extra to move us to a 3 bed villa. They would not entertain a discount even due to the circumstances.

The bed was comfortable and the AC was strong enough. I also enjoyed playing music on the TV. The water pressure of the toilet shower hose was too weak. The cutlery in the outdoor kitchen and the mosquito net in the bedroom were not clean.

• Justine (10/5): Beautiful surroundings in our own little paradise - The privacy, the staff friendliness and responsiveness, the beautiful surroundings. It felt like our own little paradise with a private pool and outdoor shower! It was a little difficult to find, and confused the taxi drivers because there were 3 locations all in the same area - but that didn’t negatively impact our stay at all!
• Kevin (7/5): So much potential. So many shortcomings. - We liked the idea of having our own villa. We liked that it was close to Seminyak. We liked the size of the villa. We liked the room service staff. The driver to take us into Seminyak. Where to start. We expected to be staying at Dream Villa but instead Booking.com did not mention in their advertising that there are 2 Bali Dream Villas in Seminyak. Number 1 is about 25 - 30 years old and shows it with worn out fixtures and fittings. The staff in general were never proactive. You had to ask for everything from glasses to have juice in the morning to coffee (with the exception of two occasions) Breakfast was a disappointment and disaster. They had seating for 18 guests in the breakfast area but way more villas and people staying. The cooked offerings in the heating trays always seemed to be dried out, over or under cooked. And you had to ask for coffee. Our villa was tidy and the staff kept it clean. But the towels that were originally white were more grey and worn beyond their use by date. You would find lipstick and eyeshadow stains on most towelling. The bathroom was in need of an update 10 years ago with no plug to stop water from leaking out of the basin and bath. The large bed was a good size, BUT it was hard as a rock to the point of sending your side into pins and needles as you slept. We removed the Duna out of its cover as we did not need it....That was a shock when you saw the stains and the brownish colours of it. Staff: The staff were there to do a job. They didn't seem to have their hearts into looking out for their guests. On arrival our first interaction with the guy at reception was "Give me your passports" then a piece of paper thrust at us for me to sign. And "You pay now" We were eventually met by a staff member who took the time to explain breakfast times locations etc. We got the same guy at reception when we left with a similar effect. We have travelled extensively and love Bali and the people and always look forward to our trip here. This is the first time we have been very disappointed ☹️ We have stayed at the Canggue Dream Villas and it was a great experience.

I struggled with The Bali Dream as we had paid less in Kuta for another hotel which I think was vastly superior. We had been at Poppies the night before, who I think really have the amenities and customer service right. At Bali Dream, the rooms were not as clean or up to date. The doors all stuck or were warped. There was only one free plug in the room, we had to unplug lamps to charge our devices. The bathroom smelt of damp. The pool had a film of oil on the top due to a broken filter. There were ants everywhere. The bedding made me very itchy and despite the mosquito net I woke up with a lot of bites. I used the free toothbrush next to the sink and all the bristles came out in my mouth. My partner used the pool and his leg went green from the chlorine tablet. At Poppies, they constantly provided fresh water in a cooler for your use. Their breakfast was also delicious and delivered to your room. The breakfast at The Bali Dream was not good for the price - small, over cooked chicken sausages, no hot drinks/coffee, the veggie curry was topped up from another new tray rather than replaced (bad food hygiene). However, staff were quite helpful and location was fine to get back to from Seminyak bars/restaurants. I would not stay here again for the price. I would suggest the manager to stay the night at some other high rated hotels in the area and see what the differences are. The site is lovely, it just needs some attention and care to be good again.
• Robert (8/5): overall good vaiuevfor money. - Very quiet location day and night (except for inconsiderate neighbours). No cockerels, thumping night club music, dogs or traffic noise. Villa private with a terrific pool and private sun beds. Air conditioner quiet and effective. Bed very comfortable. Staff excellent. Friendly, polite and helpful. there are 3 Bali Dream Villas. All in Seminyak but are called 1. Bali Dream villa. 2. Bali Dream villa Seminyak and 3. Bali Dream villa Suites. Make sure you are going to the right one or like us you will be wandering around at midnight looking for the right one after a long journey and over 2 hours spent clearing Bali airport. Whilst booking.com clearly stated a confirmed booking at the “Seminyak’ property we were in fact booked in at the “Suites” property. So the taxi was booked to the wrong property. Eventually a security staff member led our taxi to the right place on his motorcycle. Fridge completely iced up so ineffective. Needing defrosting every 3 days as freezer compartment door missing. Internet worked rarely and when it did was unsecured network so not safe. Only tv channels available Bahasa Indonesia. Steps into and out of the pool very high with no handrails. Had to use a tree next to the pool get in and out. Problems with noisy neighbours late at night on 3 nights.

The open showers made it difficult to shower during thunderstorms and the light kept cutting off in one of the rooms. A couple of staff were rushing us to finish our breakfast

• Jinal (9/5): Great property , great service, best vegetarian breakfast! - The Villa was amazing, very spacious, great amenities, and so was the service from the staff. The best Breakfast we had in our entire trip to Bali was at The Bali Dream Suite Villa. (We are vegetarians). The staff was very courteous and provided us with th best services. We choose this property for our last relaxing day at Bali and it could not have been any better. We liked everything about the property and sevice. Had the location been closer to the beach, it would have been the best!
• Vicky (8/5): great stay - this is our second stay. staff were great but with a villa you don’t need much staff interaction. plenty of space. having to go off-site for breakfast. Kuta drop off area.

• Sagari (6/5): The staff are cordial and helpful, the food was great and we had a beautiful Balinese spa session! - Too many mosquito in the room. The mosquito net had holes and a few blood stains. The villa with private room (room 206) needs to change the seating of the recliners near the pool. The cushions were dirty.
