- Mojca (10/5): Odlicna lokacija z razgledom - Lokacija odlicna. Osebje zelo simpatično, prijazno in ustrežljivo. Soba je bila čista. Balkon in cudovit razgled na grad. Postejla 'queen size' bi lahko bila vecja. Zavesa, ki je locila kopalnico in wc bi morala biti vecja in bolje pritrjena, ker se ni dala premikat in si jo moral vedno premaknit ce si se tusiral ali sel na wc, da se nisi pocutil kot v akvariju..steklena stena med spalnim prosotorm in kopalnico. Konstanten hrup s ceste.

Francesco and Floriana were incredibly kind and helpful. Breakfast at the recommended café was quick and friendly, though no gluten-free options were available. Overall, a very pleasant stay — we’d happily return to Salotto Borbonico. There was no special diet option for breakfast.

We rented the studio apartment which didn’t have a balcony, but didn’t miss it. Lovely view from the Kitchen window. The Hosts Floriana and Francesco, made check in easy, despite us arriving on a late flight and gave lots of helpful advice about the city of Naples and places to eat. Which there are plenty of, right on the door stop. You can pretty much walk anywhere you want to go, and would probably advise you to do so as driving in Naples is mad. We stayed 9 days and would have stayed another 9 if we could have. Naples has a very special place in our hearts now. The people are so friendly. Can’t wait to return and we will most likely stay here if we can. Special mention to Helena who knocked on our door every morning to make sure everything was okay and to see if we needed anything. Nothing

Communication with the staff was smooth from day one, and on the last day we also had a lovely chat with the host – they were really friendly. The hotel’s location is ideal, as it’s within walking distance to everything. There is no on-site parking, but they recommend a nearby garage that costs €35 per day. We used that, and it was convenient. The only issue was that the pillows flattened out when lying down, which caused a bit of neck pain. Other than that, I would definitely recommend it.

- Georgina (10/5): - Lovely place for two nights, adored the large balcony overlooking a busy street and stunning views. Very helpful and polite staff. The aircon was good but also clicks loudly through the night so bring ear plugs, and the shower water gets everywhere so put a towel down on the floor. The lift to the property on the 7th floor is small and tedious and costs 20 cents but sometimes it took the money and didn’t move but the b&b kindly provide coins once you have arrived. Great price and location and nice decor so I would recommend.

- Joan (7/5): Gritty Naples Neighborhood - Close to public transportation, clean, and fair price. Our room was on the 7th floor and had no street view, which made it quieter. We liked the cafe across the street for dessert or breakfast with an outdoor patio or indoor seating. The hosts were great in providing help when needed. We really appreciate the early morning taxi service to the airport that our hosts arranged when we left. More gritty neighborhood than we are used to. This bnb backs up to very busy local shopping streets that were hectic, dirty, and chaotic. We did feel safe inside the bnb since there are multiple code locks. The bnb is on the 7th floor, but it was quite the learning curve to figure out when exhausted upon arrival. The host walks you through it on the phone. The bed was hard. The view of the mountains from our room was pocket-sized. I did like that no direct sun hit our windows, so it probably stayed cooler than other rooms. It's definitely an adventure and just part of our memories of Naples. We felt like we got a taste of what living in Naples would be like.

Breakfast provided at nearby cafe - lovely pastries and coffee - opens at 06.30 so you can still enjoy breakfast if setting off early on trips.There is a lift available - which at peak times requires 20 cents - tokens are provided by the host at reception for this. Suggest provide a kettle for making a drink

The rented space is part of an apartment situated on the 7th floor of the building, which has an elevator for easy access. The apartment is divided into several separate rooms, each featuring its own private bathroom with a toilet, sink, and shower. The shower area is enclosed with glass and a shower curtain. Our chosen room had a balcony with a breathtaking view. Despite the city's hustle and bustle, noise was not an issue for sleeping. The room has high ceilings, creating a spacious and airy atmosphere. There is an open wardrobe area for storing clothes. A small table with chairs is provided in the room, along with air conditioning and a TV. The hairdryer was exceptionally powerful. The bed was large and comfortable. The interior design is stylish and tastefully arranged. The kitchen is shared and located at the end of the hallway. The building has an elevator, making access to the apartment effortless. The owners are extremely kind and helpful. If we visit Naples again, we will definitely choose this accommodation!

- Neil (9/5): First time in Naples - Great location in middle of Naples, walking distance of most things although the walk from the train station with bags and over cobbles was a struggle when we arrived The rooms were clean and bright with air con no faults. Lovely hosts who helped us with taxis and recommended places to eat and we managed to try a few of them. Met the charming cleaning lady one morning who told us about the funicular railway, which saved us a hot up hill walk.👍 Would definitely stay again No kettle, wasn’t a big thing and used pan & microwave.

Loved having the little kitchen and being provided with coffee etc to make espresso in the morning. Everything generally very good. To make it better providing a kettle or separate pan to boil water for tea would be a bonus. The shower overflowed and the bathroom floor became quite wet. Maybe this could be sorted.

- Isobelle (4/5): Bad smell and misleading images/description - The accommodation was in a brilliant location, which allowed us to explore the local area and come back to the apartment to rest with ease. - Principally, the smell was awful. The apartment smells like sewage and stagnant water. It was very unpleasant and off-putting especially at night time. - The photos are misleading. It says 'bed & breakfast' but the apartment we stayed in was not tied to the b&b so no breakfast was provided. - The kitchen lacked basic amenities. It has a frying pan, a cooking pot, some forks and knives to eat and a couple of spoons, coffee/sugar, Moka pot. However, there wasn't even a proper knife or chopping board to cut fruit/bread/meat. - The apartment is on the 7th floor and the lift costs 20 cents each time. We were promised some 20 cents but none were provided. - overall it was just a bit disappointing and we felt a bit misleaded given the description and the pictures.

Easy to get there from the Metro, lots of places to eat nearby. Super helpful hosts. Very noisy but we were right in the centre of the city. Shower could do with a screen or curtain as no matter what the water went all over the bathroom.

- Tanya (7/5): Great location and comfortable stay - Great location, nice views and friendly hosts Even though I messaged a few days before arrival with our flight details and approx arrival time we still had to wait 30 minutes for the hosts to let us in. The lift was out of action which was ok for us but we were told it was recently broken but we could easily tell that it had been broken for a while. Transparency is appreciated for those who struggle with the amount of stairs involved so that they can make an appropriate booking.

- M (2/5): - The property was in a prime location, with easy access to sightseeing, the metro, shops and dining. The B&B was a little hard to find, but the host was there to assist at the start. The room itself was very nice. However, there was no heat in the room (in the middle of winter!). The bathroom had no towel racks and the toilet malfunctioned. The biggest drawback was that during a 5-night stay, the elevator went out-of-order on day 2. Since we were on the 7th floor, it required us to use an alternate elevator to rise to the 8th floor, walk onto the roof to the other side of the building, and climb two flights of stairs back down to our room. There was no one around to ask for help. It was challenging on the last day to haul our luggage out of the building. BTW, the "rooftop terrace" described consisted of a bunch of satellite dishes and cables; no tables in sight. Since this was the start of our two-week trip in Italy, this was not an ideal situation. Although the location is great, with so many other options to stay in Naples, I would not recommend returning.

- Laura (10/5): Fantastic - The lift was broken in the property the morning of arrival which meant we had to go in another lift and walk up over the roof, which had the most amazing views over the city, we went up here to watch the sunrise in the morning. The host that thought of everything, wine glasses, bottle opener, plates to use, lots of nice little touches. They made contact with us shortly before the requested arrival time and guided us to the apartment over the telephone. We got a little confused as the where to go for breakfast as lots of information was provided at the same time. Maybe it could be written on the voucher as well as the hotel name.
- Salil (9/5): Nice place to stay in the Heart of Naples - Location is very good. Very close to tourist attractions and public transport underground station Toledo simply 4-5 minutes walk. Location is full of cafe's and restaurant. Apartment was very neat & Clean. The owner Floriana was very responsive and caring. Enough tea , coffee, milk & sugar in the common kitchen. She guided us very nicely about visiting the Naples. The view of Naples city including Castle was amazing from the balcony. Nothing to dislike.
- Stephen (9/5): Great base to explore Napoli. - The location is fantastic, right next to the Piazza della Carita on via Toledo. There are various good to excellent restaurants nearby and it is an easy stroll into Centro Storico and to the cable car to go up to Vomero to visit the Castel Sant'Elmo and Museo di San Mantino. On via Toledo near the cafe where you use the B&B coupon for breakfast you can buy tickets from the newsagent for day tours to Herculaneum, Pompeii, Vesuvius, Positano, and so on. It is also a short walk (taxi) to the port for ferries to the islands in the Bay of Naples or further afield to Palermo and other places. The hosts are very helpful with information too.

- Peter (9/5): A good place to stay in Naples. - Clean and comfortable . A larger coffee pot would be nice in the kitchen. The breakfast should have been more generous. The waiter only allowed me one croissant and a coffee🫤! I had to pay for an extra croissant. Make sure you have 20c ready for the lift when you arrive. The property is on the seventh floor.

- Stephen (9/5): Great base to explore Napoli. - The location off via Toledo was great for exploring Napoli with many restaurants nearby. One of the main stops for tour buses to Herculaneum, Pompeii, Vesuvius, the Amalfi Coast is just around the corner. The view from our room across Napoli was very nice in the morning. Our hosts were very helpful and provided useful info when asked. The lift is a little tricky. At certain times of the day you need 20 sen to go up or down.
- Philippe (8/5): A good alternative to hotel rooms, great location, functional, helpful hosts, but no luxury, and overall very pricy. By - The hosts were really great. Available at all times, helpful, resourceful. The location is perfect. Everything is within walking distance. The rooms are fine, well equipped, functional. One room and the studio are great for couples with children. Some rooms have a nice balcony and view. The whole thing is a bit misleading. I thought I had booked a whole apartment for my family of 13 people. It turned out that 1- we had only rooms within an open apartment, 2- there was another guest, 3- one couple of us had to stay in an outside studio. More important : this is not a luxury apartment. It is a collection of rooms, without any living room or common area, just a kitchen to share. Also, one room and the studio have no view at all.

- Anthony (6/5): We enjoyed Naples but very disappointed with our room which was nothing more than a very small hotel room. - Location It wasn’t as advertised. We received the only room without a balcony or view and was very small compared to the others. Needing to pay to use the lift. Only had a communal kitchen that was not well equipped ie not even a kettle. After following the hosts instructions to a tee regarding check in she did not turn up and kept us waiting with her mobile phone turned off for over one hour. Also she offered to arrange a taxi for us to the airport and it did not arrive. All unreliable service from the host.

- Maria (9/5): Salotto Borbonico - I like the location, it was close a lot of restaurants, pizzarias, pastas, cafes even Burger King and KFC for those who likes fast food, shopping and walking distance to the port, spanish quarters and some other touristic point. Subway nearby, easy to get to main train station. Floriana was very helpful and provided us with a list of places she recommend, which was great. Not a big deal but the door for the shower stall was a wide enough for my husband who is a big person.

- Daria (10/5): The best spot in Naples to explore the city while enjoying great comfort. - I had a great stay at Salotto Borbonico; the property is lovely, a big apartment converted into b&b, in the very centre of the city with transport, shops,restaurants only a few steps away, from early till late; the air conditioned room was very large and bright, extremely clean and everything was new, aside from the beautiful 1900 floor. The TV has a Fire stick that allows you to log in to your favourite movie providers. The bathroom is completely new, with a very large and powerful shower. The balcony was the cherry on the cake, big enough to host a table and chairs to enjoy the amazing view of San Martino, Sant’Elmo and the hills of Naples. The whole b&b spots lovely decoration, a mix of old and modern, and also offers a kitchen with water and coffee available to guests. They even have daily cleaning of the room and a voucher to enjoy and great breakfast at a bar nearby, with a wide choice of offerings. The host was extremely kind, provided all information and the check in was really efficient. Overall, this was probably the best b&b I have been to in Naples, over the years. Nothing negative to say

Shower much too small, sink couldn't be properly closed (not great for lens wearers), bedroom itself small when you have 2 pieces of luggage Cameras in kitchen not advertised. 20ct in lift an nuisance but OK Bathroom lock stuck on last day had to remove a glass panel

- Amy2005wa (9/5): Beautiful view of bustling Naples from the 7th floor - Location was perfect, 7th floor views of a busy Naples street. Shutters and double glazed windows were perfect to shut out the noise for bedtime. Metro train station 5min walk. So close to an array of restaurants/shops. A very clean apartment. Floriana was very helpful and responsive. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone. The shower does leak out the side, not a huge issue for us as we just mopped in up. The electric toilet/waste water pump makes a noise in the night. Cleaner comes daily, I left everything on my bed before we went out in a rush & the cleaner would have had to move it all to make the bed which I didn't like.
- Harry (10/5): Amazing location with great hosts. - The location is great and the furnishings were lovely. The hosts were amazing and their recommendations really showed the best of Napoli. Short walk to most things you will want to see in Napoli and the metro station to visit pompeii. Napoli is a noisy city, so can be difficult to shut out the noise when in the room.

Floriana gave us excellent directions and Elena, who took care of the rooms was charming and helpful. Extra marks for being allowed to leave our bags in the premises after checkout. Thanks for a memorable stay! Naples is noisy, but the room is soundproofed, so you're fine with a pair of ear plugs. Breakfast is small, but who cares! Everything was impeccable.
- Steffan (9/5): Excellent hotel, great location, spacious and good value - Excellent hotel in a prime location with many restaurants and narrow streets of Spanish Quarter nearby. Spacious rooms, comfortable and good value for money. The staff (via WhatsApp) were attentive and helpful. I’d stay here again. The lift that you have to slot 20c into each time to make it work. No reception but they guided me through check in over the phone successfully.
