In a - Magical, immaculately appointed, absolutely gorgeous and comfortable The gift shop didn’t have many souvenirs, and it would’ve been nice to buy them there. As another option, it would be nice if we were allowed 30 minutes to shop for souvenirs in town after arrival or before departure. I wonder if it would be possible to get a ride into town on one of the boats going back and forth to town for souvenir shopping.

The fact that it faces west and east allows for mini adventures in between soaking up the wonderful atmosphere and sun. The staff was top-notch and food was very good. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed and quickly settled into the relaxed rhythm of island life. The setting is stunning — clear turquoise waters, soft white sand, and villas that sit perfectly within the natural landscape. Our beach bungalow was peaceful and private, with gorgeous views that made it very easy to unwind. We also loved the resort’s sustainable gardens, which added a beautiful, thoughtful touch and highlighted the care taken to work with the environment. There is a lovely balance of activity and relaxation here. The island hopping and snorkelling were fantastic, and a real highlight for us was the night dive — such a different and peaceful underwater world, and a really special addition to our stay. We were also touched by a belated birthday cake, which was such a kind and unexpected gesture and made the celebration feel like it continued just that little bit longer. The beach front villa was perfect, very clean, with all the facilities you need. The staff were polite and helpful. The food was great and they were able to cater for special diets. We enjoyed snorkelling on the house reef, seeing turtles and baby sharks. A truly wonderful, peaceful location with stunning views. I would throughly recommend this resort.

Beautiful accommodation and staff are always helpful and friendly. The house reefs have vibrant coral from where we saw huge turtles and some small baby black tip reef sharks. I have coeliac disease and the restaurant had numerous options for me on the menu. Just a brilliant place.

The setting alone is breathtaking, crystal-clear water, dramatic limestone cliffs and lush greenery surrounding a truly idyllic island. The resort itself blends beautifully into the landscape and feels both luxurious and completely peaceful. The villas are stunning, private, spacious and thoughtfully designed, with incredible views and everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Waking up each morning in such a tranquil setting felt very special. The food was outstanding throughout our stay. Every meal was beautifully prepared, full of flavour and variety. Dining in that setting made it even more special. What truly makes the experience, though, is the service from their amazing team. It is warm, genuine and effortlessly attentive and hard working. Every detail feels carefully considered, so you can enjoy the island to its best. The activities team and boat excursions we're fantastic and we loved the opportunity to see more of the amazing islands surrounding Cauayan. If you’re considering staying here, it is a truly special place that combines natural beauty, exceptional villas, incredible food and world-class service. I cannot say enough. Not even sure where to begin. Literally worth coming here just as destination instead of Fiji or Bora Bora. People need to see this. Th Philippines and more specifically their islands are dramatic, exotic and breathtaking. More so than Thailand. The problem was that I went from this resort which was beyond a class act, to a more run down property in Coron that was not maintained and not elegant and not much cheaper, lol. I was spoiled. We stayed in one of their beautiful beachfront villas on the all inclusive package . The villa was gorgeous, very comfy and spacious, with the handy veranda and allocated sunbeads on the beach. The view from the villa is stunning, and gives such a peaceful vibe . After much travelling, just staying put and doing nothing was the perfect finish to our holiday before flying home to the uk ( via Singapore). All the food was lovely, great, varied menu , food for every pallet included. the cocktails were second to none, made perfectly with every attention to detail . Have to give the bar staff a particular shout out, namely Red, Kristian , James and Nick who all spoilt us and were very friendly. All staff, to be fair were lovely , the restaurant staff were warm and friendly and very good . I can't remember all their names but big thanks to them all - Have to mention Kim who was just so sweet and funny, very smiley and worked hard to give her best service. If you want luxury, peace, amazing food , drinks and service, make a point of including Cauayan Boutique Hotel El Nido in your plans, you won't be disappointed. Tip... If you want to snorkel, take yourself over to the back of the hotel by the arrival jetty for an amazing experience - there's not much to see on the beachside and it's very shallow that side. There are staff over there who can assist you and you can hire equipment from the resort too.

The resort is located on a private island, and you reach it via a speedboat transfer organized by the hotel — a beautiful and seamless start to the experience that instantly makes the stay feel exclusive. The property itself is luxurious, expansive, and surrounded by stunning natural beauty. We stayed in an incredible villa with two separate rooms, a private pool, and a spacious deck, offering both privacy and breathtaking views. The island is large and perfect to explore at leisure. Do make sure to try the water activities — they are a highlight and really enhance the overall experience. While the stay felt premium overall, the breakfast was quite ordinary considering the price you pay and could be improved to match the luxury standards of the resort. That said, the villas, privacy, and unique island setting make this a truly special getaway and well worth experiencing.

Every meal we had here was absolutely fantastic which can make or break staying on a private island with no where else to eat. There were a huge variety of options so we never felt bored of the food. Unfortunately our luggage did not arrive and we had to continue to the resort without it. The ride is around 20 min plus followed by an exciting boat ride that is also around 20 min to the island. The Cauayan Resort is a beautiful hotel nestled in a secluded cove, occupying its own private island. The first view gave the image of a peaceful and exclusive atmosphere. We received a very warm welcome on arrival, informed about the premises and activities and were shown to our water villa. The views were spectacular — cliffs to the front, open sea to the right, and the beach and resort to the left. The villa itself was spacious, very clean, with a beautiful wooden design blending well with the surrounding greenery and water.Breakfast, lunch and dinner were very delicious, and the staff were genuinely friendly, attentive and always helpful with advice on activities etc.Wifi connectivity at the resort was also very good throughout the area. The island hopping tour with Captain Jerry and Errol was an experience for sure. It was relaxed, fun and we enjoyed it in a fantastic large boat. The spa was beautifully designed, with a glass floor below the massage table where we could see the water and baby sharks swimming below. The sunset hike was also nice, with amazing views of the island and resort. All communication was handled via WhatsApp and we got quick and helpful responses in a matter of minutes. The bar, pool, lounge and dining areas are comfortable and well designed with great views. A special thank you to Marina for all the information, help and organisation. It was an amazing stay!

• M9181QMhelenp (10/5): Fabulous escape to a peaceful haven - This has been our favourite hotel on our tour of the Philippines. Really special, quiet place with attentive staff and wonderful setting. Yes, as other reviewers have said the clamber from the arrival pontoon to the ladder is interesting, but it's not that big a drama. The steps to the top and then down the other side are well maintained and also fine. Our beach view room was gorgeous and I just felt a wonderful sense of calm being here. The food on the island is good quality with huge portions. Others have said it's too expensive. I would say the price is where I would expect for a good restaurant, especially so remote. We shared things like a club sandwich at lunch which was more than enough. The gym was nice and has a reformer platform for pilates if that's your thing. Please could you get a few yoga mats? I was fairly sure the website advertised yoga but there was none on whilst we were there. Pool lovely. All in all a lovely stay and our favourite hotel in our trip. Kudos also because it felt that you weren't running the place at minimum staffing. So staff seemed pretty relaxed and happy to spend time chatting to guests.
• Kelly (10/5): Natural barefoot luxury! - The island is beautiful and quite dramatic and more than exceeded our expectations. The staff were amazing and bent over backwards to accommodate and serve. The food also exceeded our expectations and the bar cocktails were excellent. Shout out to the bar manager for being attentive and making killer cocktails. We enjoyed our small group private island tour and really enjoyed our spa treatments looking down at baby sharks. The beach is lovely, grab free water shoes to swim or snorkel gear if you need them, you're in reef country after all. We saw baby sharks, turtles and lots of reef critters right off the beach. Some reviewers have complained about value, compared Cuayan to 5 star resorts in more developed regions of the world, or complained about getting on and off the island. This is an island operation with solar and generator power and shipping in everything by boat, the cost is understandable. And sure there are 5 star lux resorts with fancier modern facilities because they have better access to infrastructure. That misses the point of this resort. Its charm is the island and people and more island/rustic luxury experience. And seasonal swells (and a currently damaged dock from the Nov typhoon) makes getting on and off the boats an adventure, but we loved that part but can understand that might be a worry for older guests or those with mobility issues. Not to worry, the team has you taken care of! As a couple in our 50's we'd be back in a heartbeat. They do offer a few all inclusive meal and drink plans. For us the math didn't work so we paid a la carte. Perhaps the resort can rethink the options to improve the take rate. Along those lines, the food is genuinely great (the burger blew me away!) but portions like appetizers are big and roughly the same price as main courses which means its hard to eat an entree, main, plus dessert for lunch and dinner on the plan. They might want to offer half size and half price entree/appetizers for a bit more flexibility for their plans and for a la carte. but overall this isn't a complaint we were happy going a la carte and enjoyed almost every single dish. And again, they have to bring everything by boat and the selection and quality was impressive considering that.
• elle_joy (10/5): Island Paradise in El Nido! - We had an incredible stay at Cauayan, and would eagerly recommend the resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and beautiful stay in El Nido! Location: The resort is located on its own private island, and it is one of the most gorgeous places I've ever seen. It does require a 20 minute van transfer from the airport, as well as a 20 minute boat ride from El Nido proper, but the resort handled both of these experiences and made them incredibly smooth. I will note that the location is definitely not accessible, as it requires guests to get on/off of a motor boat, climb stairs, and enter the resort via a platform on the water. Rooms: We stayed in a beach view villa, and we enjoyed an incredible view of the beach as well as close proximity to the pool/bar/restaurant. I especially loved that all the villas came equipped with an outdoor shower and a rack for guests to hang wet clothes that was secluded from view. We also had a nice couch on the front porch of our villa, which was perfect for relaxing outside in a quiet and private manner. Activities/Amenities: This resort strikes the perfect balance of relaxation and adventure. We took advantage of the package that included a massage at the spa, scuba diving, and an island hopping tour. - The spa experience at Cauayan should not be missed - the masseuses are talented, and there is nothing cooler than watching sharks swim around underneath you while getting your massage. - My partner and I did not end up doing very well with scuba diving, but our instructor Jeremiah was knowledgeable and patient with us. - We had a full-day guided island hopping tour with our guides Gani and Norian, and it was probably our favorite day of the trip! Incredibly worth it - our tour included Secret Lagoon, snorkeling at Shimizu Island, walking the sandbar and having lunch at Snake Island, and kayaking at Cadlao Lagoon. - We also participated in the sunset trek at the resort (see the view in the included photo), but I will warn that despite being a short trek the trail is very steep!! Food: The food was excellent, and we especially loved the breakfast bar spread every morning. I encourage other guests to try the Filipino options on the menu, and eat as much mango as you possibly can! Service: Saving the best for last! Everyone at Cauayan was incredibly kind and attentive, and seemed very excited to help us have the vacation of our dreams. Throughout our stay a few staff members would even refer to us by name, something that felt very above and beyond in terms of great service. Special shout outs to Lala and Pirlyn in reception, Red at the bar, and Arvin in the restaurant, as well as the many other kind and talented people who helped and welcomed us during our stay! Cauyan is on the far side of the El Nido island. You are whisked away to the most special place that only has the resort, you and nature. Cauyan exceeds in every dimension. From the minute you arrive at the El Nido airport, the team is there to assist. They whisk you away in their van and the next time you see your luggage is in your room. When you arrive (after the van ride from the airport and a 20-25 min boat ride) The hotel is ready to receive you. They know you. They welcome you. AHMED, the manager, is always around. He is a very seasoned professional and it shows in both how he interacts with guests and how the staff is trained. He keeps Cauyan running- always around to check on things- always making sure your guest experience exceeds any expectation. This resort feels like a luxury safari experience where you are in the middle of nowhere surrounded by water, but somehow have amazing luxury, beautiful accommodations, amazing food and unmatched service. It’s the little things that differentiate the most discriminating luxury levels of service. All of the staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Everyone smiles and welcomes you every time you pass. Everyone wants to anticipate your next need and have it ready before you ask or even know you need it. This is evident in every guest interaction. For example, we are a family of 5 (all adult children). If one of us shows up to a meal in advance of the others, the staff is already anticipating and making sure a 5-person table in our preferred location is available and set. They know what we like to drink. They make sure we feel like we are the only people there and that we matter. RED, at the bar, makes unbelievable tea (it’s a combo of ginger and lime that they serve at the bar, restaurant and spa… we now have the recipe!) AND super interesting tasty drinks. He’s also a lot of fun and we really enjoyed getting to know him and learn about all his bartending drink creation secrets. We suggest the resort have him demonstrate how he makes cocktails one night as a pre-dinner activity. Accommodations: - the resort has a few different Villa locations. (Central/Bay view and ocean view) - We chose the ocean location and stayed at the Sunrise Villa (103) which was located over the water. Can’t recommend this accommodation enough. It’s on the water located between the beach and spa. - You enter sunrise villa by one big main door and are greeted by a mini compound that’s all your own. - Sunrise villa is a 2 bedroom. Each bedroom has a King Bed. The primary bedroom is a King Bed with 2 bathroom sinks, very cool shower and 2 toilets. The second bedroom (not connected so it’s private- but still within the mini compound) is a King Bed with a shower, 1 sink and 1 toilet. They also placed a rollaway bed in this room for us. - The villa compound had its own small pool, lounge chairs (with padding), an outdoor sun bed (with padding) and additional outside area- fully shaded with a table, chairs, sofa (with padding) and another comfy chair to melt into. - Loved the unique setup and the views were literally unbelievable. Other villas were 1st row Ocean view- Located on the beach, these villas each had their own lounge chairs in front of their villas on the beach. There were also 2nd row Ocean View villas. These sat in between the 1st row villas so you had an ocean view between the buildings. They did not have their own lounge chairs. Last, there were other “water villas” across from where we stayed on the ocean side. The resort also has additional villas which view a lake or another body of water and bay view villas. WHATSAPP COMMUNICATION: one of my favorite aspects of this property was the ability to WhatsApp request or ask literally anything at any time. A quick chat (24/7) gets you instant service. Didn’t matter if it was “my laundry will be put out a little late but still need it back tomorrow” or “can they make up my room now” or “can we please have extra towels”, etc etc etc- it’s flawless & responses are instant (as are ALL service requests). LOVE this unique feature. FOOD: - Menu is super expansive. When you first arrive, you can’t believe they could make all those dishes and if they can, you doubt all of them would be excellent. They ARE. It’s pretty amazing that the kitchen can master so many cuisines and offer so much selection at each meal. All fresh and all beyond delicious. Family favorites for us were the fresh salads (Greek, Caesar and Cauyan were crowd pleasers, burger, ALL the fresh fish & catch of the day- particularly enjoyed the fish in the banana leaf, curry dishes, homemade ice cream). The pancakes were also a crowd pleaser for our family- so much so that we got the recipe before we left! - We were at the resort during the Christmas Gala. Well done, live music, tons of food selection (including lobster, carving stations, etc) and a staff that was so happy to make your experience the best it could be. It was clear how proud they were to showcase the property for this event. WIFI: I had previously read mixed reviews about the WIFI. All 5 of us had strong WIFI everywhere we were on the resort- and with 3 adult children we gave it a real test. EXCURSIONS: the resort offers a number of boat/island hopping/snorkeling, etc. excursions. We went on a private island hopping trip. It was a very well planned trip. We stopped at 5 locations. During each stop we had a different experience. We kayaked, snorkeled, swam, ate fruit, etc. We are not huge “boat” people (we have a few family members who get seasick), but found the experience super enjoyable and well done. SPA: we had multiple massages, facials, and foot massages. Spa facility is really cool- it is a “water hut” but they have cut out the floor area where your face looks down for massage allowing you to see the water, waves, rocks and fish below. We found the most fish located on the rooms on the right side of the building. While the spa staff was super eager to please, the treatments themselves had variability re the staff skill set and training. Massages were better. Facial staff could benefit from additional training. BEACH: beach and water is beautiful. You feel like you are in your own private part of the world. Chairs were always available (despite high season). Note that the water has rocks so we had come prepared with some cheap Amazon water shoes. High tide allowed those who wanted to paddle board, etc. POOL: pool is beautiful and a center point between the bar and restaurant. Again, despite it being “high” season, chairs (with padding), umbrellas, towels, etc were always available, despite the resort being “full” during high season. That’s one of the special things about this resort. You can see other guests during meal times or at the pool, but you are never competing for any resources. Everything is plentiful, available and always delivered with a smile and “can do” attitude. PRODUCTS: L’occitane shampoo, conditioner, body wash in rooms. Would recommend they include/add a body lotion. They also provide extra toothbrushes, etc. LAUNDRY: we used the laundry service. Found it prompt with clothes nicely washed, folded and returned on time to our rooms. GYM: small with limited equipment. The resort did offer a sunrise yoga class, which we did not experience. If you are in search of “laid back luxury” where staff is well trained and super friendly, you are in one of the most beautiful places in the world and have a large menu selection, you’ve found it. We can’t wait to return.

Being vegetarians, the team was very attentive to our requests. The spa is a must do activity, enjoying a relaxing massage while watching and hearing the waves. We also spotted a monitor lizard and some small sharks. We did a half day island trip to Big lagoon, secret cave etc and the trip was well organised and the guides took care of everything!. Due to an oncoming typhoon we had to cut short our visit by a day and the management agreed to settle the incidentals against the unused night. We are definitely coming back to the resort.

• yoadm2025 (2/5): Honeymoon Stay at Cauayan Island Resort - My partner and I recently stayed at your resort to celebrate our honeymoon. While we truly appreciated the kindness and effort of your staff, our overall experience was unfortunately disappointing considering the premium price we paid. We were assigned to the Lagoon Villa, located above what was described as a lagoon pool. Unfortunately, the water looked stagnant and full of mosquitoes, making it impossible to sit outside and enjoy the balcony. When I approached the front desk, the only solution offered was an electric mosquito repellent for the room even though the issue was outside. As we wanted to enjoy our honeymoon without discomfort, we decided to upgrade to another villa. However, we were charged an additional 2,000 PHP per night, despite the price difference shown on your website being much lower. We felt that instead of understanding our situation and helping us find a fair solution, the focus was more on collecting extra payment than on ensuring guest satisfaction. In addition, there were very few lounge chairs around the pool, and we were informed only upon arrival that we could not use the beach chairs, as they were reserved for beachfront villas. It was disappointing to be at a beach resort and still have nowhere comfortable to sit by the sea. Lastly, the prices for food and drinks were extremely high even by luxury standards. It gave the impression that guests are being taken advantage of, as there are no other options on the island. Even bottled water was sold for several times the regular price. We had high expectations for a relaxing and memorable honeymoon, but sadly, the experience did not match the cost. We hope you will take this feedback seriously and consider offering fairer pricing and more thoughtful guest care in the future.

The food was delicious and the staff went out of their way to make the stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. The room was clean and comfortable and there were touches like a bed turn down service with a little treat left on your bed every night that made you feel special and well looked after. We would go back again in a heart beat. Getting on and off the boat was a little difficult for someone that wasn't as well abled as myself. I couldn't see disability access services for someone in a wheelchair or an elderly person accessing the island easily. There were a lot of stairs that would have made it difficult getting around the island but that didnt bother me.

We could not have been treated more kindly, from chilling round the pool, to snorkeling in the bay, drinks, food, turn down service, our preferences being remembered when we sat down for meals, being greeted by name, this was one of the best resorts Ive ever had the pleasure of staying in. The facilities were stunning and it’s the perfect place for couples to enjoy a few days of being taken care of. If you can, do the trekking to watch the sunset—it’s worth it! And at the spa area, you can even see baby sharks. In short, the perfect place for your vacation.
• 811kylieh (10/5): A must visit luxury resort. - A luxurious private resort. The scenery is amazing, private boat tours to all the islands and very attentive staff. Their motto is the art of laidback luxury and I think they nailed it.

Access to the water could be easier via the Octagon (jump to the raft and replace the wooden stairs that a splinter prone with a rubber one. The massage tables could be a bit more modern.

Amazing service! - Let me start by saying we went in the low season, so only a few other folks were at the resort at the same time as us. But that didn't stop the staff from demonstrating their exceptional level of service. I can tell from reading other reviews, they are true professionals, no matter if its peak season, or the rainy season. I travel a lot. For work and pleasure. This group of employees at this resort were some of the best I have experienced anywhere in the world. From remembering us, our orders, and anticipating every need, they were able to make you feel like you were the only ones there. We stayed in a beachfront villa, and the ability to wake up to see the cove every morning, hear the waves lapping at the beach, and be steps from the main resort was just perfect. Tips: Get ready to wear flip flops for the entirety of your stay. You will be walking on the beach everywhere you go. And you will love it. The food: The menu is HUGE. I have no idea how they do it. Everything is good. Every meal we had was 10 out of 10 good. I learned there is a greenhouse on the island, and so much of their produce is organic and grown there. The Cauayan Salad was one of the best I have ever had. The fresh fruits and vegetables were of such a high quality. The chefs put a lot of attention in to presentation. The service levels are top notch, with white table cloths and napkins placed in your lap, they put a lot of effort in to the little luxuries. You might think you will feel guilty for wearing flip flops to dinner (see above) but you won't. We live in San Diego. We have high Mexican food standards. Their nachos were out of this world good. The tours: go out for a full day tour. There is so much to see and do around the area and their speedboat will get you there quickly. Ernil and Omar were our guides and they were amazing. We were able to customize the day, and make adjustments to the day based on weather, and they were just fantastic. Again, the little things like putting towels down on the boat seats before you get in, constantly handing you dry towels. These folks are good at their jobs!
• Dawn (10/5): Highly recommend if you value high end service at an affordable price. - Cauayan resort is amazing. We stayed 3 nights and took advantage of the tours, spa, and the all inclusive food and beverage option. This hotel is top of the line in everything. The staff is amazing, the food is amazing. Love this place! The only thing I didn’t love and maybe it’s a western thing but our massages in the US do not include belly massages. I didn’t love this aspect of the massage but it was only 1-2 minutes of the 2 hr massage.

The rooms were well kept and equally wonderful and comfortable. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. There is a dedicated whatsapp chat for any kind of request which was always promptly taken care of. We specifically want to highlight Nick from the Bar staff whose warmth and kindness made every evening even more enjoyable. All in all absolutely recommend Cauayan to anyone! We had a glorious week there and were genuinely sad to leave!

Even though the weather in August 2025 wasn’t perfect, it didn’t stop us from having an amazing time. What really makes this resort special is the staff. They are truly the heart of the place – working so hard, always with a smile, and making every moment memorable. • Axel (10/5): - A sensational return to this hotel, which deserves an in-depth explanation of my glowing review: Luxurious room with magnificent view, we enjoyed the room overlooking the beach with private deckchairs, a veritable paradise. Impeccable service, a smiling welcome, attention to detail, all the staff without exception are truly adorable. The General Manager made sure we had a perfect stay, taking care of every detail. For example, we asked her to find a solution to the problem of too much light in the room in the morning, and the solution was found within the hour. We were offered small amuse-bouches in our room every evening, which was very much appreciated We had the right to a private evening, a dinner apart, outside the restaurant, a memorable romantic bubble We were unlucky with the rainy weather, the hotel offered us different daily activities to make our stay unforgettable all the same. (Cocktail workshop, cooking workshop, yoga, etc.) There's a small boutique selling local clothing and souvenirs, and as the hotel is on a cove away from the city, I thought this was a great detail. Fabulous spa, floor-to-ceiling glass view over the sea filled with small sharks and turquoise fish. A very good and varied restaurant, from the discovery of Filipino dishes executed to perfection, to the selection of more familiar European dishes that allow us to alternate menus for an entire week without feeling redundant. Full breakfast, large quality buffet and extensive additional menu, which can be adapted according to your wishes or requirements. Exceptional bar, exquisite cocktails made by a qualified bartender, and a very comfortable bar area. The island tour lived up to expectations: paradisiacal spots on a luxury boat, we highly recommend it Thanks to the whole team for having enabled us to enjoy a magical stay We very much hope to return one day!

• maryknollb2023 (8/5): Amazing tide pools and snorkeling - Beautiful private island with amazing tide pools during low tide! Our kids had the best time exploring and spotting sea creatures! Kayaking was so peaceful and snorkeling provided so much to see! The staff were polite and helpful, the restaurant had amazing food and variety, kudos to the chefs. The spa was ok, my sister had a great therapist who did a great massage, mine was just ok. The villas need a bit of a refresher, they were a bit outdated, the private pool in our villa looked old with chipped paint in some places. The main pool had a great view but the loungers could do with a bit of scrubbing. I would go back for the tide pools and snorkeling though, nothing beats just getting up in the morning and going snorkeling in the beach in front of you and see the wonderful creatures.

• Maarten (10/5): Paradise on earth with people that genuinely care for you - From the moment your driver picks you up at the airport, to when you step the island and into paradise, you already feel the luxury and comfort. Each and every staff member makes you feel at home, at takes great care of you, remembering names, preferences and checks in regularly. The resort is magnificent, hidden in a secluded bay on a private island, and lives up to its 5-star fame. The restaurant with great menu, the edgeless pool with ocean view, the bar with breathtaking views, they bay to snorkel in, everything adds up to a great stay. The beach view villa is large, with a great kind bed, and direct views on the beach, and has its own indoor and outdoor bathroom area, with a large rain shower. There is a safe, a TV with apps like Netflix etc, and an airconditioning that works great to cool things down for a proper night sleep. While there is no cell reception on the island, they do have fast and good internet via Starlink. From every villa, or resort area you can access the wifi and be connected, if needed. Power is steady as they have their own generators and large solar farm up the mountain. Everything is taken care of: from carying your suitcases from the dock to the villa, the turndown service at sunset, the extra towels at the pool and bay area, a water hose at your front steps to shower off the sand from your slippers, etc. Definitely a 5-start paradise! The food prices are relatively high, but make sense as they need to import everything onto the island. However, the food does taste really great.

• Charles_Atienza (10/5): A Perfect Island Reset at Cauayan Island Resort 🌴 - We stayed at Cauayan Island Resort from June 24–27, and it was exactly the kind of quiet luxury we were looking for. We arrived at 11:00 AM via Airswift from Cebu. From LiO Airport, the resort’s team took care of everything—from the comfortable shuttle to El Nido Port, to the scenic 20-minute boat transfer to the island itself. Everything was seamless and stress-free. Check-in was a breeze. We were warmly welcomed with a refreshing drink and a cold towel—just what we needed after the trip. While waiting for our beachfront villa to be ready, we decided to have lunch at the restaurant. I had the Chicken BBQ and my partner had Lechon Kawali with Bagoong Rice. Both dishes were flavorful and beautifully presented. The service was warm, attentive, and professional throughout our entire stay. By 2:00 PM, we were escorted to our beachfront villa, complete with a private cabana just steps from the sea. The view, the privacy, the peace—it was perfect. Instead of going on island tours, we chose to stay on the island the entire time. Having explored El Nido in the past, this visit was all about rest and resetting—and Cauayan was the perfect place for that. Breakfast was simple and satisfying. We didn’t need much—just a good double espresso to start our day, and the staff made sure that was always ready. I especially loved the complimentary water activities. I had a blast paddle boarding, kayaking, and snorkeling in the clear waters. This was a stay to remember. We’re already looking forward to coming back.
