- Margaret Hick (10/5): Peaceful - Peaceful Spiral stairs
- Doris (9/5): i enjoyed my stay at Evendon finding it to be a very peaceful relaxing experience. Loved being clos - The location was perfect for a rejuvenating retreat. The surrounds were tranquil...just what I needed The spiral staircase was a bit challenging especially getting suitcase etc up and down. Needed to be careful not to fall.

- Amy (9/5): Beautiful place to stay, we had a great family weekend away! - What a beautiful spot! We loved the property, the facilities were great. The kayaks and fishing rods were a fun bonus - even if we didn’t catch anything.
The restaurant had tasty food, the staff were friendly and helpful.
We had a wonderful weekend away with all of our family. The only tricky thing was the kids beds in the loft area right next to the stairs and the balconies being so open. We spent a lot of extra time moving furniture around to make the cabins safer for our daredevil 1 year old.
We made it work though and had no issues.
- Veronika (7/5): I would stay here again without a question, it was a perfect place for a quiet weekend away. - The location was amazing, in the trees with a view of the little lake. A couple of short bush trails right from the cottages was ideal. We found some mouse poo on some of the beds and there was a mouse in the cottage at night.
- Tracy (8/5): - The location and staff
- Sara (9/5): - Good location and not too far from Perth
Beautiful view, big cabin for the family
Nice restaurant
- Kerrie (10/5): Really relaxing and great location - Wonderful place to unwind and relax
- RYAN (9/5): - We are local to the area so was nice to go somewhere close, good food, fishing and swimming for kids
- Nqobizitha (10/5): - A very refreshing site Nothing
- James (8/5): - The location was great! Providing free kayaks and lifejackets for use on the lake is a great addition. The back of the kitchen cupboards could have been cleaner. Usually most accomodation has shampoo and hair conditioner in the shower
- Jacqueline (10/5): -

- Joanne (10/5): Wonderful! - Loved our stay at Evedon. Apartment so comfortable. Beautiful scenery and grounds. Peaceful location. Food and entertainment outstanding. Staff lovely to deal with. We would love to come back! 😊
- Claire (7/5): Peaceful atmosphere, beautiful scenery and close enough to drive to the amazing beaches & rivers - Loved the lake and outside areas - so relaxing
Having access to the kayaks We didn’t spot any staff - rubbish/rubbish bins outside didn’t seem to get cleared away (the recycling bin was over flowing) ; unsure of reception times as didn’t see anyone
- Lesa W (10/5): Rejuvinating, thank you kindly. - Everything, the serenity and butterflues in the garden. N/A
- Fairoos (9/5): -

- Yolande (8/5): - The peace and quiet was beautiful, in the bush surrounded by nature and no interruptions. Stunning setting on the lake with canoes available to use.
- Jay Vyas (10/5): Excellent family friendly stay in a quiet place. - Loacate on lake and Kayak provided with oars and life jacket. Main room couches are bit old and not comfortable.
- Ellandra (8/5): AMAZING! We will definately be telling our friends and family about this location. - 1. How accomodating and thoughtful the owners Chris and his wife were consistently.
2. The views are incredible and the accomodation sits right by the lake (which is amazing to swim and kayak in). The outdoor appearance overall is beautiful and you can see it is maintained regularly. Seeing butterfly’s over the purple flowers each morning was magical. We enjoyed many breakfasts, dinners and picnics by the lake. I love the multiple options of trails to walk.
3. Can imagine this would be amazing location for events and weddings.
4. Very clean accomodation. The photos don’t do the accomodation inside justice. Not necessarily negative but feedback The beds were very firm and we needed to purchase mattress toppers to make sleeping more comfortable (but with some bed upgrades this location would be perfect).

- Aravind (10/5): Nice relaxing and peaceful Christmas - So close to Perth and yet far away from the bustle. Very nice location with peace and quiet. Nothing

- Bezuidenhout (10/5): - The setting is so beautiful, on the lake, lovely to swim and SUP in, what a great break this was!
The service and meals at the restaurant was outstanding, just wish they were open every night.
- Alessia (10/5): Eccezionale per una coppia - La posizione sul lago
- Justine (10/5): Wonderful relaxing accommodation in a stunning location - The location was wonderful - so peaceful. Beautiful to sit on the balcony, look out across the dam and hear the birds each morning. Nearby bushwalks were also lovely. The apartment was very clean and had everything you could need. Staff at reception and the restaurant were friendly and helpful.

- Steve (9/5): - Great location for a peaceful disconnect stay. Owner was very freindly and hands on
- donelle (8/5): Our stay was very relaxing and enjoyable. Highly recommend - Loved the location, loved the wood fire, loved the view over looking the lake. The restaurant was lovely and the staff were super friendly. Enjoyed the bush walks The spiral staircase up to second level, had very small steps and felt incredibly unsafe
- Pavel (9/5): -
- Nick (2/5): -
- Lorraine (10/5): Stunning, - Everything the bed was so comfortable
The views breathtaking
- Krishna (9/5): We will return - Beautiful location! Relaxation guaranteed Nothing at all.
- Gemma (10/5): Exceptional - Scenery
- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Horne (3/5): It was so uncomfortable that we left early and forfeited the room fee for one night. - The location was great. The bedroom was located up a narrow spiral staircase making it impossible to carry a suitcase up there. The bathroom was downstairs which also made it difficult and possibly dangerous to use the bathroom during the night. The lack of facilities inside - not even a face cloth or travel shampoo etc. Rooms difficult to access for elderly people - eg. having to carry luggage etc down steep stone steps to access the room.
- Olivia (10/5): Magical getaway in the lost forest - Quiet, quaint and beautiful scenery Everything was great no problems
- Tracey (8/5): Lovely - Situation Restaurant wasn’t open when I was told it would be .. However it’s a beautiful setting
- Christine (10/5): This was an ideal location for a family holiday. We hope to visit again. - The lake on this property was fantastic. We took our paddle boards and had a wonderful time.
The apartment was comfortable for our family stay with all the necessary equipment in the kitchen to be self contained.
Beautiful grounds and a lovely restaurant on site. The steps are quite noisy which was a bit of a challenge when the children’s sleeping spaces are located on a mezzanine.
- Blitzer157 (9/5): Peaceful and pleasant all round :) - Lunch in the restaurant was lovely and even though we did not have a booking, the girls accommodated us and were friendly and helpful. Table lamps in the bedroom and lounge would have been nice as the ceiling lights were a bit harsh.
- Koedood (6/5): The location is absolutely stunning, for a wedding highly recommended however if tou like peace and quiet don’t book an - The fact that it is not disability friendly. If you are having issues walking don’t rent an appointment here since there is a spiral shonky staircase to climb if you want to get in a bed which are upstairs and need to go down those stairs in the middle of the night when needing a toilet
We also had a fire alarm going of in the middle of the night for no reason causing massive stress since the alarms were in an interesting spot unable to reach to turn of
I would expect these in the kitchen not in the roof on top floor if there ever would be a fire you cant get down
- Arlan (10/5): Excellent family getaway. - We loved the pizza night - pizza is wonderful. The restaurant was clean, and the food was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the experience of having a cabin facing the lake.
- Colin (8/5): Very good -
- Helen (9/5): This is a beautiful location in easy driving distance from Perth with many beautiful attractions nearby. The staff are v - Beautiful lakeside setting. Loved the pizza and live music night - gorgeous al fresco area! Delicious wood fired pizza. Generous breakfast provisions. The linen could be updated.
- Agnes (10/5): Little paradise with 5-star restaurant - Little paradise just 2 hours drive from Perth. Restaurant foods are top notched, 5 star quality and reasonably priced. Apartments and cabins very clean with modern bathrooms. Very calm surroundings and very quiet as not highly commercialized. Only 10 apartments and 5 cabins. Highly recommended for a relaxing holiday. Nothing.
- Chay (6/5): Pleasant - Chalet overlooking the lake The kayaks provided did not have ropes tied to them making it difficult to pull them onto/out of the lake
- Shari (5/5): Passable - The view Uncomfortable chairs to sit on in living space. V small tv. Outdated decor. The cost was too high for what was provided.
- Christina (8/5): Stunning scenery - The kitchen is well equipped. Beds were comfortable. Free parking close to room.
The scenery is stunning. We enjoyed a coffee on our balcony overlooking the lake in the morning and in the late evening with a glass of wine. Anyone who goes to the toilet a couple of times per night might find the spiral staircase a challenge. Especially if they are older or have leg problems. It's also noisy so you might wake others up when you do.
- Emma (10/5): Thank you for making a great place for us to relax❤️ - The kids went paddling on the lake every day, and we could watch from our balcony a few meters away from the lake. It was such a quiet and tranquil vibe and we all came home feeling very relaxed ☺️ We had an amazing time and would definitely recommend!!!😍😍😍 10/10 Maybe bring insect repellent as there were a couple of mozzies outside
- Vjenceslav (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jasmin (8/5): Our stay was delightful and we highly recommend it. - It’s a beautiful location. The accommodations are gorgeous and the view is lovely. We loved waking up to see and hear the birds. The window in the bedroom area allows you to look straight into the tree canopy. There is pretty much everything you need there which is great for me as I’m coeliac and prefer to take my own food to cook and eat.
Getting out on the lake in the kayaks was great fun and there were plenty to use as well. The only thing that I thought that needed a little attention was the signage for the walk trails in particular the harder trail. Some more blue rocks and arrows on trees would be great.
- Drago (9/5): Great escape - Accommodation and location. Everything was really nice except the fact that we were warned not to make any noise on 31.12.2024. Considering the fact that it's New Year's eve it was unnecessary and senseless.
- Dada (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cheryl (7/5): very enjoyable apart from the issues above. - Breakfast was wonderful and the staff member on was very helpful and engaging. The view from our room was enticing and the 3 klm walk around the top of the property was great. The fact that the bathroom was downstairs when the bedroom was upstairs only accessible via a narrow circular stairway. We are both in our 70s and even though fairly fit found the stairs a bit of an issue, mainly because they were so narrow. This was not made clear when I was booking.
- Shane (9/5): Superb -
- Rohan (7/5): Good -
- Laurie (10/5): It was our favourite stay in all of WA. Owner went beyond expectations to solve my error in booking -
- Anri (10/5): Had a wonderful time in the brr -
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alan (8/5): An enjoyable relaxing stay. - Lovely peaceful setting on side of lake. Easy access to walks. Use of canoes. Very friendly, helpful staff. Good food available. No toaster. Spiral staircase might be a bit of a problem for older people.
- Codie-louise (10/5): We will definitely be back once our kids are a little older - Beautiful property, amazing sunsets Not safe for kids under 3
- Carol (8/5): Enjoyed our stay, would love to go back - Beautiful scenery, loved lake and water sports, walks, fire, Staircase difficult but understand room constraints
- Laurie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (8/5): Beautiful.. - Everything was awesome except oven was broken and top step of spiral staircase was loose (apartment 1). Otherwise we loved it. Location, staff, activities, lake, view, room were fantastic. Loved the lake, restaurant, trails, forest, close proximity to city/Bunbury, canoes, tourist attractions, Ferguson Valley. As above. Broken oven and loose top step on spiral staircase ( did alert receptionist to these 2 issues). Otherwise very happy.
- Liz (7/5): Good -
- Rakesh (10/5): Exceptional - The cabins and the natural sceneries ❤️
- Denise (8/5): Very good - Evedon Lakeside Retreat is a really beautiful location with gorgeous views across a lake and sweeping down towards Bunbury. The restaurant provides a variety of meals including breakfast, Devonshire teas and a la carte or carvery meals depending on the day. A fire provides just the cosiness and warmth you need for a winter break. The bathroom has recently been upgraded.
- Jennifer (9/5): Superb - Appt stairs
- Prakash (9/5): Its a place have a little time off from your busy life. Very relaxing and beautiful place for a short stay. - Perfect location, not too far from Perth city Excellent accommodation for 3/4 people and having restaurant on site was a plus.
- Lynne (8/5): Very good -
- Wirjawan (10/5): Beautiful tranquil place - Quiet, beautiful place... Not much...
- Pamela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sally (10/5): A fun cosy family winter stay - Very clean two story apartments with fireplace, kids loved collecting the firewood and toasting their first marshmallows, kept the place so warm. Walked the trails around the property and saw a lot of wildlife. Pizzas at the restaurant were delicious and live band made it such a fun night. Country feel but still had wifi for the kids
- Carla (9/5): Superb - A perfect place to unwind with family. Our room has the perfect view of sunset.
- Tony (8/5): Very good - breakfast was great, location great
- Susie (9/5): Expensive, but tranquil. - Loved the rural location and relaxed feel of the property. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Wedding venue was beautiful, but the venue celebrant was terrible. If you’re getting married there get your own celebrant.
The food was fabulous, so were the local Evedon wines. Expensive, particularly when asked to clean the place thoroughly before leaving, and bring firewood in for the next incoming guests!
- Gary.wright (8/5): Very good -
