Important Information
From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted.
Meal plans for children are not included in the room rates. Charges for children must be paid separately upon check-in.
The gala dinner for all New Year’s Eve stays December 31, 2025, is included in the price.
The Langkawi Tourism Fee will be changed to RM10 per room, per day starting 1st January 2025 onwards in line with the Langkawi Municipal Council.
The Half Board Package and New Year's Eve Gala Dinner are applicable for two people only.
Please note: for key events, a charge of RM20 per night will apply. Key events include Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace (LIMA), Le Tour De Langkawi, Ironman, and Oceanman Malaysia.

- Stewart (9/5): Very enjoyable and relaxing resort - The overriding memory we have of the Danna is how friendly and helpful the staff are with so many warm smiles. We go to Thailand a lot “the land of smiles” and the Danna staff are up there with the best of them. We like to swim in the sea but when we were there the seawater was not crystal clear and at low tide the sand ended and it was muddy underfoot. Also there are no complimentary toys ( water sports equipment ) available as they are provided by a third party for a fee

- Elvira (10/5): Все было хорошо - Это красивый уеденный отель, находится в бухте, рядом ничего и никого нет, в отеле очень тихо и уютно. Сама атмосфера отела располагает к релаксу. Чистый комфортный пляж, красивый infinity pool., уютный садик внутри отеля. Номер у нас был с видом на море, картинка из номера была потрясающая. Персонал отеля дружелюбный и отзывчивый. Мужа укусила медуза, все очень переживали, звонили, принесли комплимент. Завтрак разнообразный и вкусный. Вообще питание на территории отели было вкусное. Цены не свосем кусачие. Для нас это не было минусом, но если кто-то хочет куда выбираться, до отель находится в уеденной бухте и довольно изолированю. За территорией отеля порт, когда там были рестораны, но сейчас все закрыто. Также бы минусом назвала, что когда море уходит, дно покрыто водорослями и это довольно не приятное ощущение.

The hotel itself looks grand, and immense in scale, but the dining experiences felt impersonal and ultimately disappointing. The staff were genuinely kind and attentive, though at times overly so, with frequent interruptions during meals. If you’re looking for a beautiful setting to enjoy the pool and cocktails, this is a great choice. But if you’re seeking a more intimate, unique, and charming luxury experience, this is not the place.

A wide selection of food across all three restaurants. We have been lucky enough to have travelled extensively and the Danna was one of our favourites.

- Rich (10/5): A briliant hotel with staff, accomodation and food that will have you wanting to return - The staff are just fantastic. They are friendly and accommodating. The food is fresh and with 3 restaurants on site, you get so many choices of amazing quality dishes. We loved the Lamb Kapitan, a traditional dish, and the Terrace restaurant serves up some of the best Italian we have eaten since being in Italy. We were provided the opportunity to upgrade to a private villa. Although it was an additional cost, the villa was amazing and well worth the money. Massive, comfortable, very well appointed, the bathroom is huge and the pool is amazing, big and just perfect. We are so glad to have found The Danna and will return. Nothing. Everything was perfect and relaxing.

The hotel looked tited in places in my opinion. Limited storage space in room. It was not at the rating showing in booking.

- Rayan (9/5): Great stay with some obvious improvement opportunities - The atmosphere and architecture. Great breakfast No air purifiers as the air quality gets really bad ok some days. Also, the AC seems to not filter the air at all. Also, the bed reading light could be improved alot as it’s too strong. A sofa instead of the two chairs would be more comfortable.

When I stepped into Danna Langkawi, I was greeted by smiling and friendly staff, invigorating tea and a relaxing massage, and a beautiful tour of the hotel. The breakfast is exceptional in every way: the choice of dishes is incredible, the staff tries to fulfill even the smallest request, and the pianist spiced up every breakfast with the most beautiful piano melodies. Danna Langkawi cannot be described in a few words. Located in a quiet corner of Langkawi Island, when you first see the outline of Hotel Danna, you already have the feeling that something special is waiting for you. A gong announces the arrival of each new guest. The welcome means you will be treated like a Queen/King. The rooms are luxurious (I visited them all) and designed so that you can enjoy them 24 hours a day. The rooms are cleaned at least 2 times a day, but if you need additional cleaning, you can request it at any time of the day. In the room, you will find an espresso machine with different types of coffee, a large selection of teas, snacks, juices, beer... The bathroom was created for relaxation and enjoyment with Jo Malone cosmetics. From the terraces there are wonderful views of the sea or the marina. Discover the charms of the SPA center, the Churchill room, the library, the swimming pool...wherever you step, exceptionality will await you. I have been traveling for over 45 years and for the first time I want to express my gratitude and respect to the entire staff of the Danna Hotel: dear Danna team, be proud of all your hard work, knowledge and kindness - you have raised luxury to a special and unique level. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. - Hazreen Ismail (10/5): Beautiful place! - We choose this resort as our anniversary trip this year. The staff was very attentive and helpful. Our daughter was well treated and she was very happy. The in room treats provided (Jr VIP package) was really delicious. We had breakfast, dinner at the Planters and quick lunch at the terrace. We did enjoy every meal served. The landscape, beach and pool are clean and beautiful. It was a great holiday for three of us. Definitely will comeback again here😁 Tq for the hospitality. Nothing.

My family and I were especially impressed by the level of comfort throughout our visit. The rooms were well-appointed and inviting, making it easy to relax after a long day. What truly elevated our experience, however, was the exceptional customer service. The front desk staff were consistently warm, professional, and eager to help, while the breakfast team ensured each morning started on a positive note with attentive and friendly service. Breakfast itself was a highlight of our stay. There was a wide variety of options available, catering to different tastes and preferences, and everything was fresh and well-prepared. It was the perfect way to begin each day, and we genuinely looked forward to it. Poolside was brilliant as was kids club. The couples massage "prince and princess", was a delight. Overall, the combination of stylish design, comfort, and outstanding service made our stay memorable, and we would happily return in the future.

Cleanliness of room and comfortable bedding. Could exchange USD to MYR at hotel, and able to smoke in lobby. We were in a room on the top floor, where the door was facing another neighbour's door directly. Since the door was not fully sealed and sound-proof, when the neighbours were not mindful and slammed their door each time they left, we were woken up each time. The Italian restaurant did not meet our expectation at dinner time (presentation and quality of foods), while the other 2 restaurants were quite good.
- Ilonka (10/5): Lovely stay at the Danna Langkawi - Very friendly staff, delicious breakfast with lots of choices,, large suite with comfy beds, little details like daily fruit and sweets brought to our room, great pool area, library with many books, small gym. Also recommend to book the biweekly barbecue, delicious food in a festive setting outside by the pool area. Not a criticism of the hotel but there isn't much around the hotel but easy and cheap to hail a taxi with the Grab app.

- Nils (10/5): Wunderschön - Die Hotelanlage ist wirklich sehr schön, das Hotel selbst hat einen ganz besonderen Stil. Das Personal ist extrem aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Es kennt sich mit allem aus, wenn man Fragen hat. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut und bietet eine große Auswahl. Die Poolanlage ist sehr groß und nicht so schön gefliest, ist aber meine persönliche Meinung.

The outdoor sunbeds had an overhead fan. The breakfast had a huge selection and the staff would happily bring you any food that you couldn't see. All the staff were so polite and helpful and seemed very genuine. I fear all hotels we will stay at in the future will never live up to the Danna Princess Villa. Het eten was geweldig met enorm veel keuze, waarbij vooral de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding bij Palantir erg goed was; de prijzen lagen zelfs iets onder de Europese standaarden. Het ontbijt was uitstekend met veel variatie en van hoge kwaliteit. Je kon daarnaast nog heerlijke extra’s bestellen, van wafels en pannenkoeken tot een zeer goede cappuccino – allemaal inbegrepen. Het personeel is ontzettend vriendelijk en doet er alles aan om je verblijf zo comfortabel mogelijk te maken. Ik heb het hotel een 10 gegeven, iets wat ik nog nooit eerder heb gedaan.

Food is very good, especially the Terrace restaurant and sparkling wine at breakfast is a nice touch. Not a complaint but just be aware that the location is quite remote, nothing around the hotel to take a stroll to. Grab cars are easy to get to attractions though.
- john (9/5): Loved it! - This was our second Small Luxury Hotels of the World stay within a month, and The Danna far exceeded our previous experience of the brand. The location is superb, with a beautiful beach, a vast infinity pool, and a gorgeous view from our sea‑facing room. Our room was spacious and extremely well appointed, making the entire stay feel both comfortable and indulgent. The staff were very helpful, friendly, and warm throughout the hotel. With three restaurants offering excellent food at reasonable prices, we were genuinely spoilt for choice. Breakfast was superb, the croissants must have been flown in from Paris. We weren’t looking to lie in the sun, and finding a lounger with shade for most of the day proved surprisingly difficult. The Italian restaurant has the noisiest pizza oven we’ve ever encountered — it really detracts from the atmosphere. The spa, unfortunately, had no availability; whether this was a one‑off or a general capacity issue, it’s hard to say. The large infinity pool becomes very warm as the day goes on. At the EQ in Kuala Lumpur the water stayed refreshingly cool, whereas at The Danna it can feel a little like swimming in lukewarm soup. It’s perfectly pleasant in the morning, though. When we asked at reception for guidance on booking the Skybridge experience, we were simply advised to check online. While that may well be sound advice, it did feel a little unhelpful in the moment.

- Clarissa (10/5): Paradiso rilassante con tutti i confort - Hotel fantastico, con tutti i confort, non siamo mai usciti dalla struttura! Camera vista Marte stupenda, personale molto gentile, cibo buono, ci è piaciuto soprattutto il ristorante italiano. Colazione molto varia e sana, bellissima la piscina Il servizio in piscina e sulla spiaggia può essere migliorato, secondo me c’è troppo poco personale per accontentare tutti gli ospiti. La palestra ha pochi attrezzi, soprattutto per esercizi a corpo libero. Purtroppo, non abbiamo potuto fare il bagno per le troppe meduse. Alcuni clienti maleducati hanno spostato i nostri asciugamani e hanno preso i nostri lettini (questo ovviamente non è colpa della struttura).
