Wardrobe didn’t open and nowhere to store clothes except for open shelving - ok for an overnight stop but not great for longer stays. Washer was not very clean. Dog poo on the lawn - not ideal when children playing. Pretty close to Puy du Fou so a bit of a party place - if you like a pool party they have you sorted but maybe not the most tranquil 😊
• Caroline (8/5): Warm welcome. Warm gîte. Close to Puy du Fou. - Great location close to Puy du Fou. Friendly staff. Great dinner/breakfast. Warm gîte with a comfy bed and nice hot shower and good facilities. Wasn’t quite sunny enough to try the pool but it looked nice. I didn’t quite work out how to close the door shutter properly on the first night so was woken up by the sun. Found out how to fully latch it on the second night and had a lovely lie in!

Nous n'avons pas eu le temps de profiter des extérieurs mais c'est vraiment chouette! Très grand bureau qui permet de travailler tranquillement. Très bien placé, notamment pour le puy du fou. pti déjeuner très bien. j'ai beaucoup aimé le souci du détails au niveau de la déco ainsi que la vaisselle qui est très bien choisie. Tout est extrêmement propre. Le lit était confortable. Beauté du lieu +++ Logeant régulièrement dans des endroits de ce standing, il manquait quelques détails selon moi dans les chambres (il manque un endroit pour poser ses affaires dans la salle de bain, un vrai shampoing serait un 1+) J'aurai apprécié un petit plateau avec des verres et une bouteille d'eau ou de quoi prendre 1 tisane. Pour le pti dej des couverts à dispo serait un + .Le lit était très confortable mais moins le coussin qui meriterait un aspect plus "gonflé ".

Le repas du soir est très cher pour la prestation: 35 euros pour 1 œuf en entrée, un très petit plat de pâtes et un dessert pas bon Présentation des plats à revoir, pas du tout digne d’un château Le petit déjeuner est médiocre Viennoiseries décongelées, jus d’orange premier prix et confiture dans un pot commun. Le billard mentionné dans la prestation non accessible.

Nos hôtes nous ont fourni un ventilateur, mais peut être à l'avenir prévoir une climatisation mobile (le château étant monument historique, c'est normal qu'il n'y ait pas de groupe).

The owner even stayed up after 1:00 am to see that we returned safely from the late show (Cinéscénie) at Puy du Fou. Some of the interior decor is a bit garish for such a fine property, and there is a bit too much advertising (videos, etc) in some of the public spaces.

• Lydia (10/5): Friendly, generous, beautiful place to stay - Beautiful property! Comfy bed with fresh towels and great facilities in the gîte (which is dog friendly). Really lovely and accommodating hosts that went above and beyond, including a delicious vegetarian dinner on request and brioche in our room. Lovely fresh pastries + bread, with jam and OJ for breakfast, delivered to the gîte in the morning. Safe parking too. We didn’t use the pool or hot tub but they looked inviting. Also noticed the eco friendly products (washing up soap, bathroom spray) which is great to see. Even the hand soap was lovely! Great value for money and would stay again. Nothing.

Young lady who greeted us is exceptional and an asset to the place - stunning visually. absolutely beautiful! we were told there was a 3 course food option, which to us, describes a hot meal (starter, main, dessert) but what we got was cold meats, cheese and ice cream. There are no other food options and no restaurants open in town. Had to drive 15 mins away for food, when the blurb said an pizza restaurant is across the road. It is, but it’s closed
