Guest Reviews

- Farrah (9/5): Would definitely stay here again when visiting Rome. - Amazing location. Lovely streets with shops and restaurants when you step out, and very close to campo di fiori. Comfortable beds. Very responsive host. Can get a little noisy at night on the weekend as people pass by talking and laughing after their night out (I actually liked this and could have put in ear plugs if needed). Loved the vibe of the appartment and the surrounding area. Everywhere was walking distance- with the trestevereri walking bridge and piazza navona being the closest. Needed more towels- one body and one face towel each (but there is a washing machine so with better planning, you could wash and hang to dry your towel). Power went it some time around midnight on our last night, was only restored about half hour before check out (good thing I had a charged power bank for our devices).

- Kirsty (10/5): - Great apartment in a brilliant location. We easily walked everywhere and were very close to pick up points for tours. The apartment set up meant the kids could have their own space in the loft. The middle floor where the main bed is was huge and the bathroom was well set out to make best use of the space. Beds were extremely comfortable and the hosts were a pleasure to communicate with. I would definitely stay here again! It was fine for us, but be aware there are a lot of stairs, both to get into the apartment then once inside.
- Sebastian Pado (9/5): Great place to stay in the heart of Rome. - Great stylish apartment in a modernized historic building. Of course this is the city center but as long as you keep the windows closed (no problem due to the AC) noise is not an issue at all. We found the beds to be very comfy and the kitchen perfectly adequate. You shouldn't be afraid of stairs to stay here - but if you look at the photos, that should not surprise you.
- Luis (9/5): Fantástico. Ubicación 10 - Hay pequeños detalles que mejorar. El colchón algo blando, las perchas un poco cutres, le falta ascensor. Todo lo demás perfecto.
- Roger (6/5): Unbeatable location and whilst clean and comfortable the apartment did not meet our expectations given the amount of ver - Location is fantastic, comfortable main bed, air conditioning was v good, spacious bedroom area- apartment was clean and tidy. Dirty pathway leading up to apartment building with broken glass, broken handle on front door which came off in my hand, lack of organization in kitchen -dishes were in dishwasher on arrival, no tea towel or oven gloves, no dishwasher tablets, kettle did not work, lack of water pressure in kitchen, only mirror in apartment was in bathroom, dark living area, extremely noisy (creaky) loft area, a futon bed which was not fit to sleep on (3 children , 13, 10 & 9 had to share 2 mattresses in loft).

- Anna (7/5): Excellent location and a property with a lot of potential to be wonderful with some TLC and updates. - The location was phenomenal, super accessible on foot or by public transport to everything we wanted to see and do in Rome. Multiple bus stops less than a block away, several groceries very close. The view of the next door basilica's dome was amazing. It is an area with ancient historical significance, and the property was obviously once a special place. The property had most of the basics we needed during our stay. The main bed was comfortable. We appreciated the A.C. after long days touring outside. The online pictures are accurate. Check-in did not go smoothly with a 1.5 hour delay between me sending a message about arriving at the apartment and then receiving the door code. I knew we would be early but wanted to know where we could leave our luggage as previously arranged. Then the cleaner was not done at the 2:00pm check-in time. We walked in on him still cleaning and had to wait outside the apartment, but he did let us place our luggage in the apartment. There are also several apartments in the building, so it was a bit confusing knowing which "Casa Paradiso" was ours but it worked out. The neighbors were very loud in the evenings, and the bathroom did smell of the restaurant (Costanza's) below. (The restaurant staff were very kind to us while we waited for check-in time, and we ate lunch there--great meal.)
The apartment was not very clean and was dusty. The kitchen needs repairs/updates, better cookware. One of the 2 outlet plugs was unusable, so we had to swap cords for the needed appliances. The living/dining seating was kind of inadequate. The futon our youngest child slept on was fine for her because she is so small, but it would be extremely uncomfortable for an adult to sleep on. Also, there were no blankets on the beds, but I found 3 in the cupboard upstairs (we double folded the futon sheet to provide enough coverage for our 3rd child). The shower did not drain well and needs attention, and there was some mold/mildew on the shower tile which must be addressed. Lighting: very dim main level--needs lamps; yet the sun is up early with no shades to keep bedrooms darker.
The Stairs! We were fine, but it was very difficult getting all our luggage up and down the 2-2.5 flights of stairs to the apartment. Then there was another flight of stairs to the main sleeping area. Then another narrow spiral staircase to the loft area where our oldest children slept. If you have ANY issues with a lot of stairs, then this is not the apartment for you.
- Christie (10/5): A Slice of Roman Paradise! - We loved our stay at Casa Paradiso! The property itself is so spacious and we made good use of all three levels during our 3-day stay. Architecturally charming and full of delightful views, we felt immersed in Roman culture from the moment we arrived. Beds were super comfortable and lots of clean linens, towels and blankets. We were surprised the AC worked so well and the window coverings allowed us to sleep in a little. At night we fell asleep to the gentle sounds of locals eating at the restaurant below. In the morning we walked past the Pantheon just to grab our coffee. We were able to walk to all the major sites and cross the bridge for a meal in Travastere. I expected a lot from CP based on reviews, but even my high expectations were exceeded. We don't mind lots of steps, but if you have a traveler with mobility issues this is not the place for you.
- Rob (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katherine (9/5): Great location, easy to get to all main sites on foot - Convenient location - around 30min walk to Vatican, Spanish steps or Colosseum.
Lots of restaurants / cafes nearby.
Washing machine and dishwasher in apartment. Enough crockery & cooking equipment to cook in the apartment.
Local Carrefour supermarket 2mins walk - towards Campo de fiori.
Plenty of bus stops nearby - information in apartment on which to catch and where for various destinations.
Official Rome taxi tel number in apartment information great for booking return trip to airport at fixed rate - currently €40.
Would recommend. There are a lot of steps! No problem for us but the spiral ones to twin beds in loft room could be tricky.
Long walk to Termini or Metro, if you want to use these.
- Erin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Baird (10/5): Excellent base for visiting central Rome - Superb location where there are lots of interesting small shops, cafe and bakeries all around. Very easy walking to the big tourist sites like the Vatican, Forum and Pantheon.
- Gretchen (9/5): Our stay was fantastic! Great location and cute apartment! The host was very easy to work with. - There is a restaurant located below and the smells from the restaurant come into the apartment a little. This isn’t necessarily a negative - just wanted to note it.
- Alex (8/5): Very good - Laura is the best, easy to communicate and super flexible - They let us have a late check out and when we arrived quite late because our flight was delayed, she was nice all the time to make things easier. She is a great host!
- Sarah (9/5): Fantastic location. Great amenities. Useful information on how to get about. - Fantastic location. Good facilities. Good air con. Nice main bedroom. Great info on how to get about. Main room could have slightly better lighting.
- Maya (8/5): Very good -
- Hanan (9/5): Superb - It was perfect. Very clean , unique apartment at a central location. Laura the host was very nice and helpful. The apartment extends on 3 floors so you should know there are lots of stairs for who it could bother. For us it was OK.
- Gary (9/5): Fanastic stay in the heart of rome - The location was fantastic, safe, central to most things and very near to Campo de Fiori which i'd highly recommend over Piazza Navona for restuarants and evening drinks. Also super comfortable beds and very clean. Hosts instructions were very good including details of no 64 bus to the accomodation from the Termini train station. We were also allowed to drop bags off early on arrival which helped alot. Kids liked the built in USB ports in the upstairs beds. Nothing too much but if somethings could be improved then maybe increasing the kitchenware if planning to eat in. We also struggled to work the satellite tv to get euro24 football. The spiral staircase handrail moves a little and might need some maintenance. However these points would not deter my recommendation of this accomodation to others
- Vanessa (10/5): Exceptional - The location was perfect, being so close to the Piazza and restaurants. The apartment was large, especially the second level with the bathroom, laundry, and main bedroom.. This level also had a lovely view of the Dome of a nearby church. There was a restaurant downstairs that seemed popular, but we didn't go during our stay. It was great to have a washing machine. The owner was lovely and quick to reply to any questions. If you're not into climbing stairs, then this isn't the apartment for you. It was fine for us.
- Mike (10/5): Exceptional -
- Darin (10/5): Exceptional - Great location! Very walkable to most of the sites in the old city and small piazza is one short block away. Definitely recommend and would stay here again. As others have noted, there are lots of steep stairs. This wasn’t a problem for us, but could be for some. Laura was super responsive and helpful.
- Hannah (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elaine (8/5): Excellent stay, loved the location and timber beams on the ceiling. - Great location, apartment authentic Couch bed was not comfortable
- Elle (10/5): We enjoyed staying and would definitely recommend it to friends and family. We'll be back! - Wonderful apartment in a fantastic location - close to piazzas and walking distance to everything. Extremely friendly and helpful owners. Comfortable beds and lots of space. We loved this 3 story apartment!
- Allan (9/5): Wonderful place to explore Rome with lots of charm and character. - The location is the best. Very central and still quiet. Lots of helpful tips from the owners. The stairs were the only thing. It was not a problem for us but the stairs are tricky.
- Joana (8/5): Very good -
- Andreas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Florian (10/5): Very nice, clean and cozy accommodation in a perfect location -
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, lots of character.
- Dimitrios (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dina (8/5): Casa Paradiso does not disappoint! - We loved the separate sleeping areas, especially the skylight that allowed both sleeping areas the ability to see the dome of S. Andrea Della Valle! The apartment was well equipped (I need that blue fridge😁), comfortable, quiet, roomy and well-located. Not to mention one of Rome's famous drinking fountains practically outside our door! The pics I chose are from the main bdrm, the loft bdrm, the bathroom and the skylight/window. Our host, Laura, graciously let us enter the loft a bit early after a disaster of a cab ride from Fiumicino. We truly appreciated that! Thank you for helping make up for that! There was a funny smell in the outer hallway, but that might be because of the age of the building? At any rate, it does NOT follow you into the loft! The only thing I wish was that our location was closer to the ancient heart of Rome, but that is only because when we came last year all u needed to do was walk out the door n turn ur head to the left n there was Il Colosseo! Spoiled me a bit for anything else. Still, it was easy to walk to SO MANY sites, many we hadn't seen last yr, just the same. Definitely a matter of opinion and not a hard knock on the accommodations AT ALL.
- Susan (9/5): It was like staying in a fairytale but with WiFi 😂 - So unique and historic. Piazza Paradiso really was a little paradise in the middle of the bustling city. It felt like going back in time, in a good way. Very spacious and a well equipped kitchen (wish we stayed longer to use it). Very clean and well cared for A lot of stairs (including a spiral staircase). Not meant for those with mobility issues
- Gayle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joe (9/5): Great location, great host, super comfortable - Fantastic central location. Charming and unique building. Comfortable beds. Super helpful host. Only very minor stuff like squeaky spiral stairs to the upper loft…
- Nicole (7/5): Excellent location, clean and air conditioned. Loft with additional beds too -
- Tracey (10/5): Fab host. Great spot. Apartment very clean. Lovely character. Thank you Laura - Lovely character. Location was great as so central and it felt safe at night. The option of extra sofa bed was great due to the configuration of our family group. The spiral staircase was a little tricky in the night when you needed to go to the bathroom so just make sure folks booking the accommodation are aware of that for the upper second level.
- Philip (9/5): Would recommend as a place to stay - great location a perfect for a holiday in Rome. - Property was exactly as described. plenty of space for a party of 3. Excellent communications with the host and very easy to deal with. Check-in and Check-out was very easy. Location was fabulous - walkable to all of the major attractions and close to some great restaurants and shops. The property has a nice feel and character.
Thank you for everything Laura - you were so flexible personable, kind and helpful We cant identity anything for improvement. We think great value for money.
- Anastasia (9/5): Excellent location and host Laura was very helpful. - location was great the stairs is the only thing however it is an old building with so much character
- Giuseppe (9/5): Superb -
- Jill (10/5): A treat of a home base to enjoy all the sights sounds (and food) of Rome. - Great location with wonderful outlook and really felt like a home away from home. Close to good restaurants, amazing gelato, and great coffee shops, along with a well-stocked supermarket. We really can’t fault it.
- Michael (9/5): Superb - central location; fun, interesting layout
hosts were helpful and have efficient system for checkin. very flexible in allowing us to drop bags while the room was being cleaned
- Kristen (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderfully central location in great neighbourhood. Beautiful apartment with views of a basilica from the skylight.
- Batia (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location . Very nice loft. Beds are OK. Very clean. All what you need is there. We didn't meet Laura, but the communication via wathsup was good. We enjoyed our stay very much. We loved everything but if you have problems climbing stairs it's not the place for you. Lots of stairs to get to the apartment and also inside. For us, it wasn't a problem but is not for everyone. Three rooms are one on top of the other.
- Lorenz_089 (9/5): Very nice appartment, excellent located. Hosts very supportive. Everything uncomplicated and easy. - Nicely located is this a really outstanding and very cosy appartment, which we can highly recommend. Separated bed rooms and a nice living room over 3 floors. Coming to Rome with a family: Thumbs up. The beds have not been in best shape - as they are in lots of appartments. Also the kitchen equipment was - again as usual in appartments like this - pretty basic. What you need is basically there, though. Good for a quick pasta, if you want to actually cook here, you should bring your stuff. Better idea: Go to a restaurant around the corner.
- Costin (9/5): Superb -
- Natalie (8/5): Very good -
- Constantina (10/5): Charming place in Rome - Charming. Clean. Comfortable beds. Host is very responsive.
- Silvie (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect from the communication with the owner to the location of the appartment. We highly recommend it.
- Meghan (10/5): very comfortable and pleasant stay! would go back! - loved the space and the vibe of the place!
- Diego (10/5): Perfect in all ways - We loved everything ! Perfect location, amazing apartment, wonderful hosts. We can't wait to come back. The apartment is an impressive and tasteful restoration of a penthouse with internal loft that our teenager loved. Beds and all facilities are high quality. The three levels are connected with spiral staircases that add to the character. Located a few minutes walk from Piazza Navona and literally next to Campo dei Fiori the location is fantastic. The check-in process was smooth and the hosts documented many suggestions and background. Communication was very responsive. Highly recommend !
- Eliza (10/5): Exceptional - Great location to walk everywhere in Rome. Great restaurant suggestions from hosts. Spacious and comfortable. Would stay again Nil
- Lea (7/5): Good location, late check in apartment not ready very tired waiting - Location great It would have been nice if the apartment was ready for check in! We where very tired from our flight and it wasn’t available until 3.30 pm. Too far away from train station also no cereal bowls in kitchen. Hard to call for a taxi with the address.
- James (9/5): Superb -
- Abstashan (10/5): Amazing place and hosts! -
- Madeleine (9/5): comfortable apartment ideally located - perfect central location, lots of space
- Steverigby (8/5): Brilliant central location for visiting Rome - Central location, walking distance to all the major tourist attractions/sites.
Excellent accommodation with great air con and comfortable beds. The access to the property is down a dark and dirty alley which does not present a great first impression.
