• Hester (9/5): a perfectly good option for Nusa Lembongan as a family with young kids - We stayed here as a family and, after reading some mixed reviews before arriving, we were actually really pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed our stay. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, and we were very glad we booked a beachfront room — I would definitely recommend doing this if possible. The view from the balcony was lovely and made such a difference to the experience. Some of the other rooms looked like they faced back onto the road, which I imagine may have been darker and noisier, so the beachfront option was well worth it for us. One of the best parts was the amount of space on the beach directly in front of the hotel. Although you couldn’t really swim in that part of the beach, it honestly didn’t matter for us as our toddler loved having space to run around and play, and our children actually preferred the swimming pools anyway, which were great. The location also worked really well for us. We did day trips to some of the more scenic beaches around the island and also booked snorkelling boat trips, and a buggy for the day. We had also read a few disappointing comments about the breakfast beforehand, but personally we found it absolutely fine and it had everything we needed each morning. Overall, we had a really lovely stay and felt the hotel offered a great base for exploring Nusa Lembongan as a family. nothing

• Ian (10/5): Great hotel fantastic staff - Last minute booking having been let down in a nearby hotel that promised luxury villas that were not. We managed to book lagoon villas here looking for luxury as it was a family reunion and birthday we were not disappointed. We had arrived way before check in but were well looked after by the staff who took our cases did all the paperwork all we had to do was pick up the keys later. When we picked up the keys i was told which key to give to Mr Matthew who's birthday it was, the staff had decorated the room for him which was lovely. Fantastic location walking distance to shops restaurants and beach. Excellent rooms, the private lagoon was beautiful for an evening swim ,double over the pool sunbed for each room, lovely décor, clean linens comfy beds slippers and robes provided. Kettle and Fridge which are a must, water was provided and the fridge filled with snacks and soft drinks gratis daily. The rooms were cleaned daily. Staff all friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good buffet style with an egg bar. The hotel has a number of beach front pools, the outside space was fantastic with a beach bar plenty of chairs and bean bags to sit to watch sunset. Live music and grills on the beach nightly. The staff were excellent all round, always attentive when by the pool and quick to get you drinks or food from the bar. Handy little free shuttle service to the shops and port. The hotel has a spa and we took advantage of the excellent Balinese massages which sorted my back right out. This hotel really saved the day for us and I highly recommend it if staying on Nusa Lembongan The only issue was towel replacement in room was a bit of hit and miss however there were always plenty of pool towels available.

• Prescillia (8/5): Bon séjour de 2 nuits - Le Tuktuk gratuit pour l’arrivée et le départ. La vue sur la plage incroyable avec un balcon assez grand où on peut mettre nos vêtements et nos serviettes à sécher sans soucis. La formule petit dej est appréciable. L’ambiance sur la plage le soir avec le DJ. La salle de bain un peu vétuste pour un établissement de ce standing. La carte du restaurant de l’hôtel est un peu cher premier repas 683 000 IDR et deuxième repas 600 000 IDR on a fini par aller manger au restaurant d’à côté « The Captain » qui était très bon et moins cher seulement 308 000 IDR pour pour 2. La carte du petit dej pourrait être améliorée bien qu’il y ait déjà du choix, je pense que des smoothies et d’autres jus pourraient être ajoutés. Il n’y avait que du jus de pastèque quand nous y étions. Les toilettes communes sentaient forts… Bon j’imagine qu’avec autant de monde dans le complexe hôtelier c’est difficile de faire autrement. Pour 2 nuits je pense que c’était bien.

• Emma (10/5): - We spent 2 nights 2 days at Mahagiri Resort. The room had a beautiful view overlooking the pool and ocean, the room was a good size being a hotel and clean, bed was comfy. The resort facilities were clean and staff always happy and smiling. We also booked a snorkelling tour through the resort and we had a great time. We will definitely be recommending to friends and family.

Par contre, la chambre était vieillotte, la SDB très petite et très moche. On avait demandé vue piscine et mer, on l'a eu. C'est une grosse structure, ce que l'on n'aime pas trop. Des animations le soir. Très bon emplacement, proche des restaurants, petits commerces, donnant sur une rue très fréquentée par les scooters, les petits fourgons qui servent de taxi. Je n'ai pas aimé les îles Nusa Lembongan et Ceningam. Trop de bruit, de monde. Les routes sont très étroites et en très mauvais état. C'est plutôt sale.

Breakfast buffet and the food overall is absolutely top quality. Evening live music is really fun as well, honestly we didn't even want to leave the hotel! Free shuttles into the main town was a very helpful touch, and the transport service to and from the island was very well organised and made getting there a breeze. 100% worth a stay if you are on Nusa Lembongan, we will be back again. Our stay started with an issue in our original room where the air conditioning was not working, so we were moved to another room. Unfortunately, the air conditioning in the new room was also barely working. We chose not to move again, as travelling with two children and four bags is very difficult—especially with no lifts in the hotel. Part of our room has also not been cleaned properly at times. Additionally, we did not receive ear buds for two nights in a row. We called once to request them, then followed up again at reception, and later called a second time, but they were still not provided. At breakfast, we ordered pancakes and waited around 15 minutes while others who ordered after us received theirs. We followed up again and waited another 10 minutes, but the order still never arrived. We’d appreciate this being addressed moving forward.

• Damien (8/5): - The location is amazing, all the facilities, open air restaurant with outlook to the ocean and pools. The private? beach lounges and bar were great - sitting and enjoying views out front of Bali across the straight, people snorkelling, the locals scouring the reef at low tide and the sunsets! We stayed in the private villa with its own pool and garden - beautiful. There are comments from others about the breakfast - we found it ok, could be better in the coffee dept but pretty standard SE Asia breakfast otherwise. The stray? Dogs in the restaurant don’t bother anyone and the kids on the beach selling bracelets are adorable and don’t hassle you The staff are very friendly, the only comment would be that they need to be more attentive to removing towels etc from the beach lounge areas and pool. The rooms need some maintenance, villa pool included - not much but it would make the experience more luxurious- feels like the hotel is on the precipice of a 5 star but just needs that last 5%. It also lacked a bit atmosphere in the evenings for some reason - Maybe a quiet period but felt like there wasn’t a lot of people around - they were trying to entice people to the beach BBQ etc but wasn’t well attended while we were there. Again- more effort in that respect - maybe more value for money food and drinks would help.
• Frida Linnea Fagervik (8/5): - Utrolig fint sted praktisk talt PÅ stranden. Mange solsenger å velge i både ved bassengområdet og på stranden. God frokostbuffet hvor de også lager omelett. Fin utsikt fra balkongen og fine rom. Beliggenheten er «litt langt unna», mye maur ved bassengområdet. Eneste stedet på hele reisen vår at vi ikke fikk fylle opp vannflaskene våre fra dispenser men måtte kjøpe nye flasker hver dag. Personalet var hyggelige men vi måtte feks vente 25 minutter på håndklær til solsengene fordi de var tomme (tross nesten ingen gjester) og måtte generelt vente lenge på bestillinger i baren.

It's incredibly uncomfortable to have them hovering over your meal like that." Ants were crawling out of the waffles, and the entire property—both inside and out—is crawling with them. The buffet was terrible with only one or two types of fruit available. Most importantly, you have to share your breakfast with stray dogs every single morning."

The location was nice. The beach out the front was lovely, however you can’t swim there due to the coral and Rocky Reef. We stayed in a luxury villa which looked nice, however the facilities were very disappointing. The room was quite warm, the shower never got hot, it was less than lukewarm, we ended washing ourselves in the bath because the water got hotter there.. but only mildly. The pool had quite a bit of sediment in it with rocks and leaves on the floor. But the most disappointing part of it was the bed.. probably the worst bed we have ever slept in. It was so hard - like laying on the floor.. and the bed itself was the squeakiest, rickety thing. One small movement and you were awake from your sleep. We considered telling management but read some reviews that this is consistent across the hotel. The breakfast was nice with lots of options, and the breakfast staff was lovely. We ended up choosing to stay in Lembongan for one more night but decided to change locations. Surely anywhere else on the island would have a better bed! • Angelique (6/5): Niet voor herhaling vatbaar - De locatie is prachtig! Direct aan het strand, genoeg ligbedden, mooi onderhouden. Het hotel zelf was geen goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding. De bedden waren vreselijk hard, de airco kreeg de ruimte niet goed gekoeld en het ontbijt was sober en zag er niet smakelijk uit.

• April (1/5): The best part was leaving - If you’re thinking of staying at Mahagiri, do yourself a favour and look elsewhere—this place is, without exaggeration, one of the most disappointing “resorts” I’ve ever experienced. Let’s start with the most unacceptable issue: the bed. It was infested with tiny ants that bite throughout the night. Trying to sleep while being constantly bitten is not just uncomfortable—it’s completely unacceptable for any accommodation, let alone one that markets itself as a resort. The overall condition of the property is extremely rundown and nothing like the photos advertised online. The rooms are tired, dated, and poorly maintained. The bathroom feels old and neglected, complete with a cheap shower curtain, and the water temperature never gets beyond lukewarm. The TV is tiny (around 20 inches), outdated, and not compatible with modern streaming like Google Chromecast. Comfort clearly isn’t a priority here. The bed is rock hard, the air conditioning is either freezing or off—there’s no in-between—and there are no bedside light switches, meaning you have to physically get out of bed every time you want to turn lights on or off. Leave the balcony door open for fresh air? Expect feral cats to wander in and bugs to bite you. The resort itself is poorly designed with excessive stairs, making it inconvenient to get around. The beach is not swimmable due to rocks and coral, which completely defeats the purpose of a beachfront stay. The food and beverage experience is equally disappointing. The menu is limited, overpriced, and lacks any authentic Balinese options—everything is basic, bistro-style food of poor quality. There are barely any healthy choices like fresh salads or fruit. Drinks are outrageously expensive, and to make matters worse, they won’t even provide a bottle opener in your room unless you purchase drinks directly from them. On top of already inflated prices, they charge an additional AU$10 just to deliver room service.

• Maja (9/5): hadde en fin opplevelse og ville dratt tilbake, men noen ting kan bedres - fantastisk beliggenhet og veldig pent! stranden er pen å se på, men ikke noe stas å svømme på. alle bassengene var varmere enn ønsket, da man gjerne vil kjøle seg ned i vannet på varme dager. rommet ble reingjort på veldig ulike tidspunkt på dagtid, så det var vanskelig å planlegge når man kunne være på rommet.

The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel very comfortable throughout. Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway. Beach and friendly staff

• Megan (10/5): Beautiful hotel, lovely staff, very clean - Lovely hotel with a massive beautiful beach. The pool’s were lovely and clean, staff very attentive. The AC was good in the room and was very clean. Located right along the front so plenty of nice restaurants and shops nearby Nothing, however entering the sea is a bit rocky so bring water shoes if this would be a concern for you.

• Corstiana (10/5): - Het prachtige uitzicht vanaf de kamer strand en zee! De grote keien in de zee. Met waterschoenen goed te doen.
• Katarzyna (8/5): Hotel taki sobie , ale plaża super i widoki przepiękne - Przepiękna plaża z leżakami , parasolami , bez tłoku . Czysto . Bar na plaży , fajna muzyka sącząca się z głośników . Słabe śniadania , mało urozmaicone . Tylko dwa rodzaje owoców , kawa nie do picia .
• Reini (10/5): Sehr positiv Überrascht - Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und sehr bemüht. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und liebevoll gestaltet. Die Betten sind bequem und sauber. Pool Wasserqualität sehr gut und der Strand wird den ganzen Tag gepflegt. Definitiv einer der schönsten Hotel der Insel. Leider ist der Strand nicht für einen Badeurlaub geeignet da sehr viele große Korallenstücke sind. Gemütliches ins Wasser gehen nicht möglich. Das ist jedoch nicht die Schuld des Hotels , ist einfach so auf der Insel.

• Ashleigh (6/5): Great location, close to everything but very run down. - Nice central location. Beautiful spot on the beach. Loved that it had private villas available. A few things. Bed was rock hard - probably the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. Room started to smell like stagnic water. Staff put lights on at night for pool but we could not find the switch to turn off so room lit up. Staff were pleasant but on their phones a lot at front desk. Restaurant staff were far more pleasant. Food is a bit average and buffet breakfast was not very good.
