- Zackary (3/5): Not as glamorous as it looks. Needs LOTS of work. Would 100% look elsewhere first!! - The location was great and just as we were expecting. Close to the downtown of Sullivans Island and the beach. Only a short drive from downtown, Mount Pleasant, Isle of Palms, etc. The house itself such as amount of bedrooms and ability to accommodate a larger group was the best thing thing about the house. Inside the house and amenities is where things went wrong. On first impression when we walked in the house, we were welcomed with a flooded kitchen due to the dishwasher leaking all over the floor (we were not even the ones to run it, it was running when we first entered the house). The maintenance team was able to come and replace the dishwasher within a few hours. Other things that were not working during the stay are, the hot tub was broken and freezing cold (we were told it cannot be fixed), the shower on the main family room level door does shut flush (so it leaks over the floor), the refrigerator did not get cold enough to store food in (we had to use the mini fridge that did not shut all the way), we could not enjoy the back deck because there were wasp nests above the back door by the lounge chairs, the bathroom in the jack and jill room toilet was almost impossible to flush, the bathroom in the level with the four bedrooms shower did not drain so you are stuck standing in ankle high water the entire time. Overall this house needs a LOT of work and what they charge you to stay is NOT worth it. It is very overpriced for the quality of experience you are getting. When you are spending $5,500 for a weekend stay you would expect things to work and be able to enjoy all the amenities that you are paying for. In the end the only enjoyable thing was being able to stay together with family and friends within one space. I would 100% recommend to look for other places to stay and only use this as a last resort.
- Dawn (7/5): Overall we really enjoyed the stay and we appreciated the management company responding to our needs. It was nice to hav - The location on Sullivan Island was ideal, quiet and easy access to beach and restaurants The maintenance on the property is lacking. The pool was full of algae when we arrived and the pool pump was spewing water. It took phone calls and pictures to have a pool service come and shock the pool. We as guests refilled the pool from below the skimmer. The AC stopped working on the second floor and I called and had a quick response which I appreciated and the problem was a filter that had not been cleaned to the point it made the unit overheat and stop. We noted that there was dirty cups in the kitchen, rusty pans and a pot that still had food on it. Many of the utensils had sticky handles. The glass in the microwave was missing.
