• Sarah (10/5): - Die Unterkunft liegt wunderschön. Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen und uns wurde alles gezeigt. Auch die im Preisinbegriffenen Gamedrives waren ganz toll. Einmal ein Gamedrive im dazugehörigen Park und dann noch der Giraffe-Walk. Beides ein Highlight. Wir konnten viele Tiere sehen. Auch Sean, der Guide, hat das sehr toll gemacht. Wir haben uns aufgrund des Preises lange überlegt, ob wir dort, in einer anderen Lodge oder ausserhalb eines Parks und buchen sollen. Es ist schwierig zu sagen, ob das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt, aber wir haben den Aufenthalt auf jeden Fall sehr genossen.
• Nico (7/5): Very nice lodge, nice breakfast and awesome staff... just lacked entertainment. - Breakfast was good, massages were great.. hearing animals at night was awesome The room did not have a heater, so it was freezing in the room if you're not under the covers. There was very little entertainment, the only entertainment area did not have a staff member. So you could sit at the bar, but waited a very long time for someone to be behind the bar to take orders from. Dinners were very expensive and not really great, menu would say Beef Fillet for dinner, and then you just get normal steak.. Misleading menu and overpriced

• Charmaine (5/5): Overpriced - Love that they try to protect the reserve by having us sanitize our shoes and have our car sprayed before entering the compound. Our tour guide Braun was great too! Very knowledgeable and patient. Breakfast was great! They welcome you with cold towels and a refreshing drink too. And we managed to spot giraffes in the compound! Super cool The lights in the bathroom works on motion sensor and they go off very quickly. We were all showering and shitting in the dark. No movement at the showering and toilet area could get the motion sensor to turn the lights on. The floor was also dirty, the wall sockets were near the floor and we didn’t feel like putting our phones on the floor while it charged. The main door was impossible to push and pull, it needs some serious oiling and locking it was a chore. The cleaning team came unannounced when we went out for a game drive on the day we checked in. The room was newly checked in, everything was freshly made, why does the cleaning team have to enter again? The experiences listed in their website is not within their compound. We were given a wrong timing (via WhatsApp) for our game drive and were told to rush because apparently we were late. And we had to make our way to the reserve ourselves which was located at the area we just drove from. If these information were made clear to us, we would have just made our way there directly and not make a detour to the hotel then back to where we came from.

• Bruno (8/5): Haben aber trotzdem eine wunderschöne Zeit hier verbracht. - Die Zelte sind gut ausgestattet. Traumhafte Lage. Die Safaris mit Nico waren toll, viele Informationen über Natur und Tier. Nachmittags kann man mit dem eigenen Auto durch den Addo Elefant Park unternehmen, liegt etwa eine 1/2 Stunde vom Hotel entfernt. In dem 2. Zelt wurden vergessen, Bett war nicht gemacht, Wasser wurde nicht aufgefüllt. Der Service zum Frühstück hat überhaupt nicht geklappt. Das Buffet wurde nicht mehr aufgefüllt und mussten ewig auf unser warmes Frühstück warten.
• Chris (8/5): Nice staff and some very well designed new accommodation in an area close to Addo Nationa Park. - There are some 5 star parts to this place. It doesn’t feel quite finished. The new accommodation is very good and set in the wildlife - which was a pleasant surprise. The staff, in particular the manager and Sean the guide were fab. It’s near the road - you can hear the hum but it’s not too bad. It’s very good access for Addo. The tooth and claw safari wasn’t what I expected- a safari park.

Shaun our giraffe safari guide and our other guide Braun were very knowledgable and keen to make our experience fun as well as informative It was all great and we were sorry we could only stay one night .

• Neil (6/5): Friendly staff, property needed some tlc. - Very friendly staff. Food was very good. Very noisy, doors from other rooms need looking at as other guests struggled opening and shutting which created large noise late at night and early morning. The owners dog barked constantly all night one night which was very disturbing. The toilet seat was yellow and needed replacing, only bed side lamp one side, could have done either two.

• Jil (8/5): Most peaceful reserve with private feelings and nice terrace where you can spot the giraffs. - A very nice place to have the feeling of a most private safari place. There was a wormly welcome when we arrive including alcoholfree Welconedrink. There is a nice Terrace at the waterwhole, where you can see the giraffs if you are lucky. The dinner was nice and the crew was amazing. At the gamedrive we saw most of the big five.

• An (10/5): Fantastisch: een liefdevolle, blije en zorgzame omgeving - Alles is fijn aan deze plek de mensen het restaurant, de kamer, de rangers. Deze mensen zijn allemaal uiterst service gericht en zeer vriendelijk. Het voelde voor mij als thuis komen in een familie. Heel bijzonder! Een groter zwembad. Alhoewel ik geen gebruik heb gemaakt van het zwembad. Er was zoveel te doen ik had er geen tijd voor.

• Ilse (7/5): Mixed feelings - Laat ik vooropstellen dat de locatie erg mooi is. Het is magisch om wakker te worden en zebra’s te zien lopen vanuit je tent en giraffen te zien als je naar het diner loopt. Daarnaast is het eten ook erg lekker. De safari’s die je kan boeken waren ook leuk en het personeel is aardig. De tent (een drie persoons tent) was in onze ogen niet af. Er zat geen deurklink op het toilet waardoor de deur niet dicht kon. Ook was er geen licht bij de wastafel. Daarnaast was het toilet niet afgesloten van de bovenkant van de tent en kan je dus alles ruiken/horen in de hele tent. Wat ons het meest teleurstelde was dat door reparaties die uitgevoerd werden we urenlang geen water hebben gehad. Dit is niet van tevoren aangekondigd en kregen we bijvoorbeeld ook geen noodwater om het toilet door te spoelen. Dit was niet de service die we hadden verwacht in een toch wel prijzig verblijf.

Wirklich ein sehr schönes Gelände. Wir fanden die Guides sehr gut und hatten auf dem Gelände den besten Game Drive. Leider war es im Tent 2 durch die Nähe zur N2 24/7 sehr laut. Aus dem wifi wurde man ständig rausgeschmissen.

• helen (9/5): Heerlijke plek om te genieten van rust en als uitvalsbasis voor gamedrives! - Mooie locatie, eigen gamedrive, giraffen en zebra’s op het terrein waar je verblijft. Vriendelijk personeel, fijn bed, goed verzorgd
• martin (5/5): Ok but somehow expected better - The staff (game rangers, cleaning staff, waitresses and reception staff) were all amazing and welcoming. The giraffe walk is worth going on The room we were allocated was poor. Bathroom was aesthetically not pleasing (cracks on wall, ceiling and cornices had gaps in them, light in bathroom was motion sensor activated which is itself is a poor design, bathroom door was a barn door with gaps between the door opening and the wall). Room is located very close to reception meaning you can hear conversations from the reception area. The room is located near to the water pump that pumps up water from what I believe is the reservoir or the borehole. Either way, it is very noisy and switched out around 1 am. The lodge itself is not within Addo elephant park so be aware that it is 30-35kms away. They do have their own game farm with giraffes, elephants, lions, antelope species etc but it is not in Addo elephant park. The name as a result may be misleading.

Freundliches Personal und spezielle Services, auch an Feiertagen (Heiligabend Dinner). Möglichkeit für private Game Drives. Guter Ausgangspunkt für einen Besuch im Addo Elephant Nationalpark. Wir können einen Aufenthalt mehr als empfehlen! Nur eine Info: limitierte Essensmöglichkeiten außerhalb der Unterkunft, wenige Restaurants verfügbar (nicht die Schuld der Unterkunft)

• zohar (5/5): בינונית + - אנשי הצוות נעימים ,האוהלים מעוצבים טוב ונעימים לאירוח של 2 אנשים את האוכל חייבים לשפר את המחירים צריכים להוריד ,השכשוכית שנמצאת במקום הייתה מאד מלוכלכת ומלאת ירוקת לא ניתן היה להכנס אליה. המחירים של תאום הסיור באדו היו יקרים מאד מאד פי 4 מעלות של סיור כזה עם מגיעים עצמאית לאדו כאשר בעל הבית פנה להתייחס להערות שלנו הוא התנהל בגסות רוח ובחוסר עינייניות. הארוחות היו ברמה נמוכה מצומצמות ולא טעימות הארוחה ששילמו עליה בערב הייתה לא טעימה ויקרה מאד תחזוקת המקום אינה ברמה גבוהה

• Jon (7/5): A good getaway destination but more attention to detail in the rooms would help. - The food was outstanding, and the kitchen and service staff deserve commendation. Both the supper and breakfast were very well prepared and presented. Some of the shortcomings in the rooms was compensated for in the quality of the food. The rooms lacked attention to detail. There was only one bedside light which was broken. The bathroom had one thread bare towel. Some maintenance work was incomplete or overlooked. On the plus side, the staff were really welcoming and helpful.

• Nils (8/5): - Überaus freundliches Personal, sehr schöne private Anlage. Tolle Ausflüge, sehr gutes Essen. Zahlreiche kleine Rückzugsorte laden zum Entspannen ein. Sauberkeit, insbesondere der Boden im Zimmer, sind verbesserungswürdig. Das Bad könnte ein, zwei kleine Schönheitsreparaturen vertragen. Spielplatz sehr klein und aufgrund des schlechten Zustands nicht nutzbar

Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit und sehr freundlich. Alles ist so unkompliziert, Probleme gibt es nicht, es gibt aber Lösungen. Die Zimmer sind sehr gross, das Bad hervorragend. Sehr zu empfehlen ist die Sunrise und die Sunset-Tuor. nichts

• James (10/5): Great Stay - First time on Safari and Bellevue was an excellent introduction. Accomodation in the tent was very good, comfortable bed, good shower and facilities including mini bar. Staff were very good, cleaned room twice a day. Food & Wine in the restaurant is very good and service was attentive. Safari options were very good, we did all four trips offered and Scotia was our favourite, followed by Addo. Julian was our guide who was also excellent relaxed and informative. 100% recommend Bellevue especially if you are looking to get a first taste of safari. When you leave and are heading east don't follow google maps through Alicedale (left out of Bellevue) unless you have a 4x4 Nothing All good

• Benoit (6/5): - Le safari était très bien, avec un guide compétant, agréable et disponible. L'emplacement du site est dans un cadre de nature idyllique. Le prix de la chambre est exagéré par rapport aux prestations fournies. L’établissement aurait besoin d’un rafraîchissement et de quelques efforts supplémentaires en matière de propreté et de maintenance pour offrir un meilleur confort aux clients.

• Heidi (7/5): - das Zelt war toll, aber leider hört man nachts viel Strassenlärm. Die Game-Drives sind nicht in den Addo-Elefant Park, diese zahlt man extra und fährt dazu 30 Minuten auf der Hauptstrasse. Man kann den Park aber gut mit dem eigenen Auto befahren, mit Vorteil der Klimaanlage an heissen Tagen. Der Kaffee beim Früstück kostet ebenfalls extra., insgesamt stimmt das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht und die Lodge ist überteuert. Auch abends gibs den Wein nicht per Glas sondern nur ganze Flaschen.
• Jörg (10/5): Absolute Empfelung und die angebotenen Safaris sind toll. - Wir haben ein kostenloses Upgrade auf ein Superiorzelt bekommen. Diese Zelte sind absolutes Glamping! Das Personal ist super nett und zuvorkommend. Das Abendessen war hervorragend und das Frühstück ebenfalls sehr gut. Nachts hört man die Geräusche der Wildnis. Nachts hört man aber auch die Geräusche der nicht allzu weit entfernt liegenden Nationalstraße.

• Holger (7/5): - Der Giraffenwalk hat uns sehr gefallen. Absolute Empfehlung diesen zu machen. Sehr schöne Erfahrung. Wir hatten ein sehr langes Abendessen (2 Stunden). Was an sich kein Problem ist, aber mit einer fünfjährigen zu einer Herausforderung wurde. Es gibt für Kinder wohl Extramenüs. Uns wurde dies leider nicht angeboten und wir hatten versäumt nachzufragen. Das war dann etwas schwierig unsere Tochter zu erklären, dass sie den Couscous mit Gemüse essen muss, während die Nachbarkinder Nudeln und Pommes hatten.
• Gaëlle (8/5): L’endroit est agréable quand il fait beau et chaud en tente - Le cadre , la vue de la tente et la tente elle même. C’est un très joli endroit et le personnel est très agréable. Le safari pour voir les girafes est vraiment passionnant. Le guide est top. ☺️ Nous avions choisi une tente qui était très belle mais malheureusement il n’a pas fait beau, impossible de se doucher quand il fait 14 degrés!! Et c’est vrai qu’on entend énormément la route.

• Jeannique (6/5): Goed voor één keer - Vriendelijk personeel. Ruime & mooie tent. Goed ontbijt. Het lawaai van de nabijgelegen drukke weg. Enkele items ontbraken in de tent: geen spiegel, geen kamerjas, wc deur die niet dicht kan. Giraf wandelsafari … het komt erop neer dat je met het safarivoertuig naar de giraffen wordt gebracht en dan een selfie met de giraffen kunt nemen.

We got so close to them and enjoyed their gentle nature. Thank you for this amazing experience ☺️ The correct function of the lighting and heating mattresses within the tent should be checked prior to the guest arrival and in-between when cleaning the rooms. One of our heating mattresses and the ceiling lights unfortunately did not work during our stay in the tent.

• Alexandra (9/5): Schön gestaltete kleine Lodge mit tollem Safari-Feeling - Die Lodge bietet tolle, sehr private Safarieerlebnisse an, die uns sehr gut gefallen haben. Selten haben wir Giraffen und Elefanten so nah gesehen. Mit dem Guide Sean waren wir sehr zufrieden, er hat uns durch seine Schilderungen Südafrika nähergebracht. Gerade unsere Kinder waren hellauf begeistert. Das Frühstück war sehr vielfältig und liess keine Wünsche offen. Die Lodge ist schön gestaltet und man kann dort auch Zebras und Giraffen nah beobachten. Etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig war, dass man von der Lodge aus auf die einspurige Autobahn schauen und sie auch manchmal hören kann. Allerdings war dies bei den Safaris überhaupt kein Problem und uns hat es nicht gestört. Vorteil ist, dass die Lodge wirklich gut zu erreichen ist.
• #Michael# (8/5): - Het restaurant was prima en de mensen die er werken zijn uiterst aardig en behulpzaam Het verblijf is sfeervol en heeft een mooie ligging met een beetje geluk lopen s'ochtends de giraffen door de tuin Kamer nmr 1 had een schuifdeur die je nauwelijks tot niet open kreeg! Bij nood is het een gevaarlijke situatie!! De douche was vernieuwd die was prima maar er waren veel beschadigingen in de badkamer en in de slaapkamer, de kranen v d wasbakken waren kapot Het bed was prima maar de hoofdkussens stonken! De badhanddoeken waren oud net als de kussens . Ik heb alles gemeld bij het uitchecken, hopelijk doen ze er iets mee De giraffenwalk was kort maar fantastisch!! De buffelsafari is waardeloos ze staan als koeien in de wei....

• doug mathews (10/5): Awesome accommodations and staff. Game drives were excellent even with afternoon sour weather. - This was an excellent experience. Accommodations, food and resort staff were excellent. Property was amazing, and animals were the stars. Sean, our guide was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in every way. He did a great job on both morning and afternoon game drives. He occasionally used a little profanity which was a little off putting.

• Bollen (10/5): topper, humor, gezelligheid, avontuurlijk en leerrijk - luxe verwenning, slapen in een tent met comfort een aanrader zeer fijne crew, een goed sfeer en iedereen staat klaar of om te helpen of om uitleg te geven dikke pluim voor de rangers, veel humor en avontuurlijke rides wandelen met de giraffen? wie verzint het maar zeker doen. T was "lekker" geen bemerkingen
• Laura (7/5): Gute Unterkunft nähe Addo - Der Service ist wirklich sehr gut, auch eine sehr freundliche Familie, die das Reserve betreibt. Das Ambiente direkt im Bush war wirklich einmalig und auch ganz nett hergerichtet. Das Zimmer ist in Ordnung - zur aktuellen Jahreszeit ist es leider sehr kalt in den Zimmern und im Bad. Der Giraffen Walk sehr zu empfehlen. Addo innerhalb 30 Minuten zu erreichen. Das Preis- und Leistungsverhältnis passt unserer Meinung nicht ganz.

• Julia (8/5): - Nette kleine Lodge sehr nah am Addo Elephant Park! Sehr gutes Frühstück, auch abends kann man sehr gut im Restaurant essen. Sehr nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal! Die Zelte sind sehr klein und hellhörig - was klar ist, aber da die N2 direkt unterhalb entlang führt, sollte man es zumindest wissen. Da wir im Winter da waren, war es im Bad recht kalt.

• Zarni (9/5): Close to Addo to give you three different experinces. Perfect for a 2 night stay. - Lots of different activity options. Due to it being a smaller game park they have options to go to Scotia and Addo. Marthus our tour guide was excellent and all of the staff went above and beyond during our stay. Just be prepared that if you are coming from Kruger, the animal experience is different. The landscape is completely different and less density of animal. There are also no Rhino currently. The meals also could have been larger.
• Jasper (10/5): Super safari hotel! - Alles is super, heerlijk ontbijt, lunch en diner en mooie is ook nog eens inclusief een safari per nacht. We kregen elke keer dezelfde gids. Zeker de wandeling met giraffen (leek me suf) was echt heel erg leuk en bijzonder! Jammer dat ze aan het uitbreidden waren op de locatie, maar als dat af is, zal het nog beter worden!

Generell sehr schönes Ambiente Keine Klima/ Heizung vorhanden Das servierte (Abend-) Essen entsprach nicht ganz unserem Geschmack, das Frühstück war abgesehen vom servierten Bacon sehr gut.

• K (10/5): - Die Bellevue Lodge hat eine tolle Lage und dem Namen entsprechend eine sehr schöne Aussicht. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und das Essen ist super lecker und einfallsreich. Der inbegriffene Game Drive und Giraffe Walk sind unvergessliche Erlebnisse. Unser Guide hat uns sehr viel gezeigt und war mit Begeisterung dabei.

• Rinaldo (10/5): - Really upscale hotel in a game reserve 20 mins from Addo National Park. Very privative hotel where the staff does everything so you can feel at home. Don't miss the Giraffe walk! It can get very cold at night in the Winter months, however the staff prepped hot water bottles for the beds.
• Jule (10/5): - Wir haben in einer der Zelte geschlafen. Es war eine sehr schöne Erfahrung. Das Personal war super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Außerdem werden Safaris im eigenen Reservat angeboten.

• Rick (8/5): Awesome base for game drives, but…. - Stayed 3 nights, with 4 game drives in 2 days. Truly awesome, each drive was fantastic, each one was different. Yanu is a fantastic guide, super nice, knowledgeable, relaxed, and each time giving us the best experience possible. We were aware our tent wasn’t to far from the N2 highway, and some road noise was to be expected. Still, it was not great. The traffic noise carries quite far and is indeed detrimental to enjoying the otherwise beautiful surroundings. The second thing was the suggested, but confusing tipping system. The ‘suggestions’, including how much and when, were included in the room instructions when we arrived. Not only pretty high before even getting any service but also somewhat forced. It tells you to tip upon check out, not before, and not on an individual basis. Didn’t feel friendly at all.
• Graham (9/5): Superb - Lovely accomodation with wonderful views. Giraffe came up to the lodge in the late afternoon. The private game drive in the evening was excellent and very informative. We saw most of the different animals. The giraffe walking safari in the morning also excellent. We had the added bonus of seeing one of the lionesses who came close to the lodge gate when we were having dinner which was a huge excitement for guests and staff alike. My wife’s photo of the lioness has probably gone viral!

• Damian (10/5): Amazing location and brilliant game drives. Luxury feel accommodation and great value - Everything about this accommodation feels luxurious from the minute you arrive. We stayed in one of the tents which was really nice with all the facilities you’d expect in a normal room. The road noise from the highway is notable but didn’t affect our stay. Also we had a lot of ants in the tent but guess this is to be expected given the location, again this didn’t affect our enjoyment. The evening merl was Ok but not great however the breakfast was amazing. The highlights were the game drive and the giraffe walk which were simply incredible. We’d definitely return but possibly choose a room rather than the tent.
