• Richard (1/5): Rip off - Beautiful grounds They charge my 2 nights for one night .87 dollars. That's expensive for Philippines. I seen the first pending charge at check in. Then they told me to pay again. They tried to argue the first charge was security and would be refunded. It didn't. I just checked.

Rooms full of flys and bugs, no balcony. Fridge old, very loud, air conditioning poor and very loud also. Towels didn’t smell great. All the bed rooms could do with revamping. Bar/ food closed at 10

• Rhoselanni (9/5): It’s was a great experience I will come back again and recommend with family and friends. - The hotel area and landscaping gave you a serene and tropical haven of rest and peace. Good relaxing vibes. The grounds are well maintained with beautiful picturesque sites to capture great pictures. Great paved path walk for early morning brisk walking by the seashore with great sunrise view!!The buffet was awesome with lots of variety everyday. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The pool was 10 feet deep all around. 3 feet from the edge of the pool and drops to the deep 10 feet, just not a relaxing way to stay in the pool unless you want to tread in the water constantly. The rooms could use an upgrade but clean and comfortable to rest and sleep. Well maintained.

• Mercy (10/5): My go to hotel when in Davao. - When go to Davao City i always stay in Insular i always had a massage after a long flight a buffet breakfast , a nice wlak arpund the beach and a nice swim in the pool with my cocktail. It needs a good renovation.
• Junah (2/5): It’s not a cheap hotel but the service is! Will never recommend this hotel unfortunately! - Location and breakfast I thought the hotel was okay, view was great breakfast was good. But why one star: My complaints: 1. Amenities: pool was okay but you can’t use the beach as it is polluted and next to a canal so it’s only good for pictures 🤦‍♀️ 2. Room: i booked in booking.com and i liked it because they have available rooms that I can choose between double bed and twin bed, ended up the hotel will decide according to what’s available upon check-in. Now we ended up with both twin beds 😕 3. Toilet: The toilet bath and the shower are very old. The shower and the faucet runs water altogether when it’s on. Total waste of water! Ends up water floods the toilet floor. Complained to maintenance. 4. Pool: we ordered drinks while swimming. We have some chips with us so we can munch and the staff said it’s not allowed and they charge corkage fee. What’s the difference between us eating that same chips when we are around the vicinity? We paid for the hotel stay, not a day pass visitors! Next, after our swimming, they didn’t allow us to take the pool towels to our room so I ended up walking to my hotel room, wet and in a bikini. What a service!

• Mary Joy (9/5): A seaside hotel near the airport with incredbly polite and honest staff with tidy hotel rooms. - I left my jacket in the hotel room and e-mailed the hotel if it was there. Luckily, the room service staff kept my jacket in safe keeping. Despite the fact that i left the jacket there for almost three weeks, I am thankful that they were honest people and it does really matter. In addition to that the hotel staff were polite and approachable at all times. Some wooden skirtings in the bathroom looked old and needs to be replaced but the generally the hotel room was exceptionally clean.

• Paul (3/5): Run down rooms and lack of facilities make this a no go, especially for the cost of the rooms - The bed was comfortable, it was quiet and the grounds looked very nice. It was on the ocean and had nice views when you walked to the ocean front area. The water for the shower was intermittent and didn't work properly for half of the stay, even after alerting management. The property looked tired and the ceiling looked like it was damaged at some point and not repaired. The ceiling of the patio was disgusting looking with paint peeling all over and huge chunks of concrete not there, possibly from an earthquake but not repaired. The bathtub had spots where the enamel was gone and you could feel that it wasn't repaired. Everything in the room looked tired and in need of refurbishment. The resort was far from restaurants and bars, and there was no entertainment onsite so you have to travel 20+ minutes to get to other entertainment venues.

The shower got the floor Abit wet after each use, staff was abit stingy about giving water, mirror was rusted, meals were just Abit pricey, and no smart tv.

• Lowell (4/5): - Staff was nice and friendly. The size of the room and balcony were great. Free lotion in the bathroom was the highlight of my stay. Air conditioner didn't work well. Cleanliness of the room was questionable. I didn't mind that the room and building were outdated and old. If the air condition worked and it was clean I would've been satisfied.

Even it's being maintained well but the discoloration makes it look very dirty and 'urine' like color. I wonder why the management is not doing anything about this problem.

• Dionne (6/5): Improvements needed - Staff & location. *Room needs to be refurbished. * The hair dryers in each bathroom are outdated and very slow, making it take a long time to dry hair. *Fitness centre should be improved and equipments must be thoroughly cleaned. Adding a treadmill would also be nice. This is the only hotel I’ve stayed where the fitness centre doesn’t have a single treadmill. Also, providing guests with wet wipes. to wipe the equipments during workouts should be practiced. Or at least provide a sanitizer. *Ceiling in Room 273 needed some repairs, as it is dripping near the fridge area. *Wifi connection in all areas are intermittent. *The management should consider opening the pool earlier. Opening it at 9:00 am is quite late.

• Petar Vasilev (10/5): - The staff are very friendly and always ready to assist and help but they also have limitations on what they can do because at the end of the they are just humans, not magicians and miracle creators. It's also easy and fast to reach the airport from the hotel no matter by taxi or driving. Breakfast is decent and the parking is free for guests. It's not a bad hotel but it needs to be brought to the 21st century desperately. Most of the facilities are from the middle of the previous millennium. The air-conditioning is very weak and barely able to collect down the room (if it ever does), the thermostat is disabled, so we can only turn the Aircon on or off but that's all. It's my second stay in this hotel but it will be my last. Same as before I needed to call the front desk and ask for an electric fan in the room because the Aircon wasn't able to cool down the room, no matter that it was already on when I arrived in the room. The bathtub is from 1950's ISH and able to fit a small child only, but fully grown adult - no way! There is no glass to separate the shower/bathtub from the rest of the bathroom. Again "welcome back" in 1968 with the shower curtain which is unable to prevent the water leaking out and make the entire bathroom floor wet and covered with water. There is no lift or elevators, so if you get a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor in any of the buildings, brace yourself for a proper workout carrying your heavy suitcases up and down the stairs. I didn't have the time to use the swimming pool this time but my previous experience showed that the swimming pool hasn't been emptied and properly cleaned from a very long time ago which was visible and touchable in the deepest part of the pool (10ft), the other weird thing is, the hotel is with beach and sea access but for some reason swimming is not allowed (I didn't even bother to ask why). There are signs everywhere and also a security guard who is keeping his eye on the guests who are anywhere near the beach. I really can't recommend this hotel because it's not even that cheap considering all the things that need to be changed/upgraded

• Charito (8/5): Nice and cozy, love the beach though some rubbish plastic in the water. - Private snd secure area Not enough ligthning in the room, aircon not running to the temperature capacity. My tv is not working. Towels not complete, i have to ring them to avail.

For a high star rated hotel, the rooms are not pretty. It definitely needs a touch up/upgrade. Not much sockets in room. Really feels old.

• Bernd (8/5): Service - Die Lage. Schöner Garten Liegt am Meer; aber man darf darin nicht baden. Sind nicht in der Lage ein Menue komplett zu servieren. 10 Minuten auf Beilagen gewartet. Der Kuchen wurde auch erst nach mehreren Aufforderungen serviert. War der Kaffee nur noch lauwarm. Aber das ist ein typisch philippinischen Problem
• Somyra (2/5): Please fix the tour room air conditioner or add a new split-type aircon because the old one is not working well for the - The landscaping is beautiful, the location is close enough to the airport and to the marina to pearl farm. We got married here a long time ago and every time we stay in this hotel, the air conditioning is always not working well and it's always the same thing - never changed, never fixed, and never upgraded. When you call someone to fix it, they say it's fixed, but it's really not. If you rate the old air conditioner here it’s 1 out of 10, we're sweating. It's a beautiful place to stay, but the air conditioning is always what we hated the most. The big pool seems dirty underneath.

• AUNG (1/5): So disappointed - The breakfast is well and the location is also well I’m not satisfied the part is when we check in , the receptionist Guya make the porker face , we understand check in time is 3pm ,but we early arrive there ,around 1-2pm, I think that time the room is already preparing,is not like , talking us waiting until 3pm ,and I see other local coming check in , he just first assist them , so that’s meaning Discrimination for us for foreigners, I can’t accepted , also I will popularized all guys don’t booking any more waterfront insular hotel ,coz yours hotel has Discrimination for foreigners religion, also the room is so dirty , the parts of hairdryer also very dirty, the blankets color Make me disgusting,Anyway I don’t booking any more waterfront insular hotel !Never ever!!!
