- Anna (9/5): Charmigt hotell med bra stämning! - Trevligt och snyggt hotell med en skön stämning! God frukost, tillmötesgående personal och mycket charmig inredning. Fint med kanalen strax utanför. Lätt att komma dit! Små rum och små fönster (i det vi bodde) och den dagliga städningen var minimal. Inte helt prisvärt med tanke på rumsstorleken. Lite vid sidan av centrum kändes det.

- Arjan (10/5): Top personeel. - Prachtig gebouw en zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Maar 1 lift omdat de 2de alle 4 dagen defect was en er ook niets aan gedaan werd deze dagen. Met zovee kamers en gasten niet echt handig.

- Marianna (9/5): Soggiorno piacevole - Ottima soluzione per visitare Amsterdam. L'hotel non è in pieno centro, ma lo si può raggiungere in 10 minuti. Vicino a supermercati, zona bimbi e ristoranti. La colazione ha soddisfatto le nostre aspettative. Un ringraziamento particolare va a Martina che é stata molto disponibile e gentile.

- Laura (10/5): Excellent Hotel & Good Value for Money - The Hoxton Lloyd was perfect for us, it was such good value for money compared to staying in the city centre. We don't mind a walk, so the distance from the city centre wasn't a problem for us, but Ubers were also easy to get and not too expensive. The bed was so comfy and the room was immaculate, we both slept really well.
- Candice (6/5): Sadly pretty underwhelming - Lovely building although surrounded by modern unattractive blocks, so no nice view - we had a road view. Very warm welcome at Reception but restaurant service very slow. Easy tram ride to/from the city but seemed much longer by Uber due to heavy traffic. Room was very dark even on a sunny day and big windows, needs better lighting. Our ‘Roomy’ room was small - big entrance hall and pillar but rest of useable room felt compact. Bathroom cramped. No coffee machines in room. Didn’t acknowledge our anniversary celebrations despite contacting hotel in advance. Our table wasn’t ready in the restaurant although had made a reservation as we arrived late. Our side dishes arrived after we’d eaten our main meal and were cold - sent one back. Breakfast was ok although items not replenished regularly and cheese slices were stuck together and hard as had been out for so long! Not a great experience for 390 Euros B&B for one night. We wouldn’t return.

- Fulvio (8/5): Comfy room in a local neighbourhood - We really enjoyed our stay. The building is impressive, and our room was great—the bed was very comfortable and the decor was a nice touch. We were also lucky enough to get a complimentary upgrade at check-in, which we really appreciated, and the free bikes were a big plus. We also liked that drinks and snacks are sold at 'supermarket' prices. While it’s a bit of a distance from the city center, it’s an easy trip by tram or bike. We actually preferred the local vibe of the neighborhood; it's well-connected and has some great spots nearby, like the local breweries and bakeries. A few areas could be improved. The restaurant food was quite plain, and we would have preferred a proper coffee machine in the room. The bike rental system is also difficult, as there aren't enough bikes and no way to reserve them. We were also disappointed by the communication at the bar; we were turned away from a 'private event' that we later found out was free for guests. Reception's suggestion to 'let them know next time' was frustrating as the opportunity had already passed.

- Annabel (7/5): Nice but for the price not worth it, would rather stop somewhere that is less of a building but is more comfortable and - It’s was a really cool building in a nice area, the toiletries in the bathroom were nice. Some of the basics for a hotel of this standing were not really met. There was never enough toilet role, when our room was cleaned out towels weren’t replaced nor was our tea and coffee and there were never enough staff on reception, the hotel needed a third person on the desk, as every time we went down it was a wait and a rush when being served. The bed was also very small and a bit too hard.

One of the few hotels that had rooms to accommodate a family of 3 in the same room. Our daughter’s room was privately tucked away behind 2 parlor doors. The beds were very comfortable and the staff friendly. One staff member, Georgina, even gave us recommendations for local charming eateries nearby. Our did come with iron and elevators was out other on last day ,the staff … how do I start. Their check in time is 2:PM , we arrived at 1:30PM ,was told our room is not ready ,no problem we got lunch at restaurant ,came back to the front desk 225PM , was told it’s still not ready because management need check the room ,ok wait for another 30mins and still not ready (front desk zero urgency to even help meanwhile, other people are getting checked in asap ,told we going run errands (because you slash we don’t have all day wait for them ) ,came back to 3:20 finally we could check into a room (1 hour and 20mins later )they could careless , inconvenience, first time in my life that I’ll tell act this way,but ok , check into your room, pretty,super small water bottles (ok ) try to iron my clothes they have no ironing board or iron in the room so we called the front desk 6:PM ask if could set us an iron to our room, they said they would immediately, an hour alter, we had to go because we have dinner reservations, no iron was presented, as we were leaving again put in an order they have an iron brought up to my room. To put a request in.,came back for night at midnight , iron. Next day I have to call him to ask them to please send me an iron upstairs and remind us this is the third time requesting it, finally somebody brought one up 30mins after the 3rd request . WTF , why do I have to beg you for an iron on every hotel even low end one like they have a standard,$300 a night I expect the basics , an epic fail failure. The restaurant: Food was amazing,staff is ok ,but definitely got so many things wrong, the woman sitting next to us got the wrong order twice, thank God we didn’t experience that, them another couple seat on other side did us , I’m doing a meal. They brought me some bread.

- Becs (9/5): Stylish and laid back vibes with an open outlook and good amenities immediately around hotel. - Stylish and comfortable- laid back. Nothing! All good … 30 min walk to city centre, so therefore 30 min walk out to various museums again depending on the purpose of your stay and visit, however good public transport links.
- Isabella (9/5): We found our new favourite hotel in Amsterdam! - Beautiful building and interiors, the location is perfect - only a 10 min cycle into the center and with the free cycle hire it’s perfect to get around in cycles then head back to the hotel in a nicer and quieter area. Rooms are lovely, we got upgraded to a roomy and it was wonderfully cozy and clean just like all the other spaces in the hotel. Couldn’t recommend enough, the staff were also amazingly accommodating and friendly! They are an environmentally conscious hotel, which means they do not offer cleaning of the rooms everyday, you could say you want it everyday but I felt bad going against want the hotels preference is. I would have liked to have the room tidy and new towels everyday for the price you pay to stay.

- Marcelo (9/5): - El edificio es formidable, las comodidades también. Su estilo vintage (teléfono de disco y radio, por ejemplo) hace juego. Es maravilloso y, si bien está algo alejado del centro, el tranvía 26 te deja en la estación central en 5 minutos. Definitivamente, me gustaría regresar. La limpieza fue un poco vaga, por así decirlo, y no repusieron té ni café (detalles). Deberían dar mas información acerca del edificio y la compañía naviera Royal Lloyds, ¡es alucinante!
- Jamie (8/5): Great hotel, room location not so much - The hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. The hotel is clean and breakfast had a good selection and very good coffee and juices. The room was well presented and beds comfortable and bathroom well fitted and clean. Our room (003) was in the basement level next to a stairwell, the door of which made a very loud bang every time it closed which caused problems ALL through the night. Also you can hear the water in the pipes in the walls from what we assume is toilets in the upper floors being flushed.

- Michèle (9/5): Schön, geschmackvoll, gut gelegen - Sehr sehr nettes, freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal!!! Sehr schönes Gebäude, tolles Interiordesign, gute Lage und Anbindung um die Stadt zu erkunden, da die Tram sehr nahe ist und man nur 3 Stationen bis Central braucht. Das Frühstücksbuffet hat viel Auswahl und war lecker. Schöne geräumige Zimmer ( wir hatten ein Roomy). Der beste Instant-Kaffee, den ich je auf dem Zimmer hatte. -Getränkepolitik beim Frühstück: frei ist der Filterkaffee, der bei unserem ersten Frühstück so dünn war, dass man den Tassenboden sah und wir haben ihn daher nicht nochmal versucht. Der Barista macht tolle Getränke, inklusive ist aber nur eins,danach muss man bezahlen. Finde ich in einem Hotel dieser Kategorie unangemessen, das machen Mitbewerber besser - mir persönlich war das Bett zu hart, aber das ist ja Geschmacksache .

- Marvin (6/5): Bien mais pas forcément à conseiller question générosité. - La chambre (un studio pour nous) était très cosy et agréable, bien que n’ayant reçu qu’un léger nettoyage avant notre arrivée. Les photos sont incroyables mais l’hôtel en lui même est moins resplendissant. La retouche ou le cadrage des photos de présentation sont importants. Un peu d’eau (autre que du robinet) aurait été appréciée dans la chambre. La place au restaurant est limitée, il faudra donc parfois attendre pour déjeuner (nous étions hors congés scolaires). Attention: 1 seul café vous sera servi, n’espérez pas avoir deux cafés gratuits avec votre petit déjeuner.

- Hendrikus (9/5): Weekendje Amsterdam - Heerlijk hotel met ruime kamer (wij hadden 'roomy'). Heel stijlvol ingericht. Personeel was super vriendelijk en in-en uitchecken verliep zeer soepel. Ontbijt was prima maar ondanks dat de dame achter de koffie-counter haar best deed moet je wel lang wachten op je kopje koffie omdat elk bakje vers gezet wordt. Ligging is ook prima voor een weekendje Amsterdam. Niets.

Unfortunately our stay was tainted by a really poor experience in the hotel restaurant. We booked for our first night and were met with rude staff, undercooked food and extremely long wait times for food to come out. I appreciate this isn’t the hotels fault, per se, but it does not give a good impression.
- elodie (7/5): Stylish stay in Amsterdam - Nice place to stay close to the tram, you’ll be at Centraalen station in 3 stops. (Center) Great building and decoration, the staff is nice and helpful. We had a problem either our bed, the mattress had a gap, so really uncomfortable. We raised the problem and they I guess turned the mattress the other way round, it was better but still.. . A confortable bed is kind of the most important thing in a hotel. A gesture could have been done too, a breakfast or a cocktail maybe? Let’s say the service could have been more thoughtful.

- Ramin (5/5): - Dunkle Zimmer, habe alles voraus bezahlt über booking.com, im Hotel angekommen mega Diskussion wegen Zahlung, zuerst wollten nicht glauben das es bezahlt war. Dann trotzdem nochmals 450eur Kaution. Dann im Restaurant sofortige Zahlung sonst kriegt man nichts ... Beim Check out wieder die gleiche Geschichte. Echt mühsam, dunkle Zimmer, Frühstück knapp den Anspruch erfüllt. Alles ist knapp. Nicht mal eine WC Bürste auf der Toilette. Strasse Lärm.
- Sam (9/5): Fabulous stay in a super cool hotel - Fantastic warm welcome from staff from check in to the cocktail bar to breakfast. Building and all the spaces were amazing we had a biggy room as we were there for four nights. It took a while to get used to the ‘commute’ to the city centre but it was only about 20 mins on a tram and the pay back for that was the peace and quiet after the hurly burly of the city. Our room had a lovely view of the waterfront

Alice was particularly good recommending bars and restaurants. Room/shower was great. I thought the location might have been awkward, as it was further out than where I usually stay, but the tram nearby has a very regular service and is only 10 mins into Centraal. Ideally there might have at least one English language channel on the TV but not the end of the world.

- Cassandra (9/5): Perfect long weekend stay - We always love staying at The Hoxton hotels and seek them out wherever we go. The hotel interiors are really well designed and it’s an interesting, historic building. We had a great meal in the restaurant and the cocktails were very tasty. It was super easy to get into Central Amsterdam and also to and from the airport. We had some confusion about the housekeeping which was cleared up by the friendly and helpful staff.

The communication was bad. I got a confirmation by phone before I book for requesting a room with bathtub, in the end it is not what we agreed on the phone

- Etienne (9/5): Confortable et placé dans un quartier agréable pour un séjour de quelques jours à Amsterdam ! - Hotel très confortable, dans un quartier certes pas central, mais très agréable : sur les quais, moins bondés que le centre trop touristiques. Les prêts de vélo sont particulièrement appréciés !
- Justine (8/5): - Le personnel était super accueillant, la communication était fluide, l’hôtel est vraiment beau avec une belle ambiance. Le loft était super bien agencé, plutôt spacieux pour Amsterdam, très propre, et bien décoré. Situé à 10 min de la gare centrale honnêtement je retournerai dans cet hôtel pour mon prochain séjour !
