• Ulrich (10/5): Ein tolles Erlebnis - Sehr familiäre Unterkunft in einer außergewöhnlichen Umgebung. Mittagessen im Garten, Abendessen um ein Feuer. Frühs und nachmittags Safaris mit sehr individueller Führung. Haben sehr viele Tiere gesehen und gut erklärt bekommen.

• Michel (10/5): Ein authentisches Erlebnis - Alles.. es ist ein sehr sauberes authentisches südafrikanisches Erlebnis. Klein aber fein.. wir sind zum 4. Mal in der Mohlabetsi. Die Rondavels sind top gepflegt und sauber.. die Mitarbeiter toll und schon viele Jahre dort. Essen wunderbar.. eine schöne Lodge im mittleren Preis Segment. Für uns war es einfach toll. Man findet immer was wenn man will. Leider war das Wetter nicht so gut und wir hatten diesmal nicht so viele Tiere gesichtet..

The game drives were thrilling and quite successful from Rhino, lions, leopards, wild dogs, hyenas, elephants, giraffes, eagles, vultures, mongoose, crocodile, Hippo, kudu, Impala, springbok and more. • Clive (10/5): - Amazing place and fantastic staff. Tasty food, beautiful and comfortable room, very clean, pleasant garden...Impossible to fault anything. We had an amazing stay. The game drives were perfectly organised and the guide was very knowledgeable and managed to find the animals.

• john (8/5): Game drives twice a day on a reserve that has both black and white rhinos readily accessible. - This is a very well run lodge with obliging staff and management. Comfort and cleanliness levels are high. Octavian. the guide I had was an excellent communicator and able to discuss everything from wildlife to food in a highly knowledgeable way. I did a walk in addition to the usual game drives and this was not so much a game viewing experience as a chance to get up close and personal with nature in the Reserve. I was a sole traveller and the majority of other guests were German speakers. Even as a non German speaker I found the other visitors most welcoming. The food in general was excellent although the meat dishes at dinner were somewhat overcooked for my taste ( and looking around I think for others also). Importantly, any future visitors should note that there is a R850 charge each way to be picked up / delivered to Hoedspruit airport. This is a pricey shuttle service even allowing for the inclusion of the entrance charge into the Reserve. The lodge will of course charge what it thinks fit, but it should be made much clearer on the website that being picked up etc is extra and NOT included in the daily charge - I thought it was all inclusive till I came to organise the pick up - That way travellers arriving by air can budget for the extra R1,700.

• Victoria (10/5): Incroyable, exceptionnel, merveilleux !! - Nous avons passé un séjour exceptionnel !! Le personnel du lodge est adorable et hyper accueillant toujours avec le sourire.. Des petites attentions en permanence qui font très plaisir, un repas succulent le midi comme le soir. C'est vraiment un lodge familial qui prend soin de vous ! Les safaris sont incroyables et une mention toute spéciale à notre guide Hamilton qui était un amour !! Nous avons eu la chance de voir des éléphants, rhinocéros, lion, buffles et zèbres dès le premier safari et des girafes le lendemain. Nous sommes déçu de ne pas avoir pris plus de temps ici tellement c'était extrêmement bien.. Nous recommanderons ce lodge des que nous en aurons l'occasion !
• Jochen (10/5): De max - Heel vriendelijk personeel Mooie kamers Prachtige locatie Als je veel dieren wil zien, moet je gewoon dit privé reservaat doen Lekker eten Ze doen er alles aan om je een fantastische ervaring te doen beleven Duur maar toch moet je het gewoon doen. De helft van je budget zijn al de safari's dus prijs klopt ergens wel. 2 nachten blijven is perfect Leuk zwembad Heel erg luxueus, willen alles voor je doen. Is er voor ons soms wat over. Verwachten veel fooi doordat het geen goedkope lodge is.

• Sanders (9/5): - De ligging van de locatie is subliem. Het eten is voortreffelijk. We hebben genoten van elk moment. De staff heeft ons helemaal in de watten gelegd. Jammer genoeg zijn er in Greater Kruger weinig dieren te spotten. Maar de dieren die we hebben gezien, hebben we van dichtbij kunnen bewonderen. Met bijzondere dank aan onze spoorzoekers!
• Meghna (9/5): An incredible and unforgettable African safari experience - From the moment we arrived, the staff's exceptional hospitality shone through, making us feel incredibly welcome and well-cared for. Dining under the vast African sky, with the magical ambiance of the forest surrounding us and animals occasionally wandering nearby, was an absolute highlight. It felt like a scene straight out of a dream! The safari game drives, both in the crisp morning and as the sun dipped below the horizon, were expertly guided. Our guide's knowledge and passion for the wildlife were evident, and we were thrilled to have spotted all of the "Big Five" in their natural habitat. What truly set Mohlabetsi apart was the thoughtful attention paid to our five-year-old daughter. The staff went above and beyond to engage her in fun and educational activities, making her feel like a special part of the Mohlabetsi family. This personal touch made our family vacation truly exceptional. While the outdoor shower wasn't a favorite for my family, I can certainly appreciate how others might find it to be a unique and enjoyable experience, offering a special connection with nature.
• Mark (7/5): More miss than hit - The private suite was stylish, spacious, and...... private. The food was mediocre, the game viewing one dimensional, and (despite paying top rate for the private suite) they wanted to charge an exorbitant rate for airport shuttles.
• Patrick (10/5): As a family of six, Mohlabetsi was, for us, the ideal location for the perfect safari experience. - The lodge is located in the Greater Kruger park and is therefore ideally suited for those wishing to see big game. The housekeeping staff were very friendly and looked after our every need. The ranger, Sam, and tracker, Richard, were first class and were clearly very knowledgeable about wildlife. In our three days we saw all the big five and a great deal more. Overall the lodge is clearly a happy, well-run place where many of the staff have worked for over 20 years. Moreover, it is an affordable option compared to the more famous, very expensive 5* reserves in the region. There was nothing we did not like about Mohlabetsi. We could not fault the food, the service levels, or the overall experience. OK, whilst the breakfast coffee was delicious, it could have been kept hotter.

Everyone at the lodge was really helpful, great food and fantastic game drives with Hamilton and Enoch. We saw all the big 5, would definitely recommend. A canopy on the landcruiser safari vehicles would have been nice for a little shade
• Hedley (10/5): Simply the best! - Absolutely brilliant! My booking was a last minute impulse decision, and the deal offered on Booking.com was amazing. Jo and her team run a great operation, and make everyone feel special. The guest accommodation is in the form of individual rondavels, and they are top quality. The outdoor shower was a highlight! The food = oh my goodness - this was great. Far too much to eat, but better too much than too little. I had to skip a couple of meals. The safari drives are exciting, and the guides are friendly and professional. And great to meet new friends from all over the world. All in all, simply the best. Highly recommended.

Safari tracker and guide - James and Octavia were brilliant, and very efficient, knowledgeable, funny and friendly. The pool area could do with an update, particularly some shade.

The game drivers are extremely knowledgeable, good fun, educational and passionate about what they do. They care for the animals but also want to give you the best experience possible. Lucky (our driver) was determined to ensure we had an amazing time. He is really funny, patient and loves the animals. Enoch (or Anok sorry I don't know to spell it) was also so pleasent and kind, he was a great tracker and spotter. Jo's hospitality along with the rest of the staff was second to none. Nothing.

Made to order breakfast was very good and the chef went out of her way to accommodate guests who had dietary needs like us (vegetarians). Safari rides were also great experience with a knowledgeable ranger and tracker. The outdoor shower took some getting used to..wasn’t the best when it wasn’t hot outside.

From the pickup at the airport to the game drives and conversations with other guests, it was top notch. The game drivers were wonderful and the staff excellent. • Kate (9/5): warm, welcoming and amazing animals on your doorstep - the staff were just incredible and so warm and welcoming. we felt like a part of the family. the game drives and our guides Lucky and Richard were amazing. no leopards sadly but they went out of their way to accommodate our 6 year old! seeing elephants whilst eating lunch was memorable! drinks and the shop were v reasonably priced too. as a rare family friendly Lodge there could have been more child appropriate foods especially as the lodge knew there was a child staying but equally we understand the pleasure and culture of all guests sharing a meal together
