• Barbara (3/5): Never again - Close to our activity. Very kind reception person. Clean facility except for bedspread and furniture. Bed comfortable , decent soft pillows, clean sheets We set up for a golf cart to pick us/our luggage up, being the layout of the buildings makes it a LONG walk- it never showed up. The furniture was downright filthy- we literally wouldn’t sit on it. My 0500 shower was cold/lukewarm at best. They rationed 1 bottle of drinking water

• Eva (8/5): Perfect deal - The location was convenient, very quiet and walking distance to observe sunset. Breakfast was really good. The apartment was spacious and sparkling clean. We have enjoyed our stay (3 nights). Beds were too soft for our taste and kitchen was unfortunately not well equipped, not enough dishes and pots. We travelled with toddler and baby, so basic cooking was essential for us.

• Naomi (7/5): Would have been a great stay had it not been for the boiler not working. - I loved the view, overall size, and bed here. Our boiler never worked. The adults could have power through with cold showers but it was a real struggle with the kid. They attempted to fix it several times and eventually offered us another room but at that point we were already halfway through our stay.

• tom (1/5): Leaking ceilings. - Great views. Restaurant (different owner) was excellent. Rain was leaking everywhere in the unit. Ceiling(roof leaked, as we were on top floor), windows and walls. Leaked all over my clothes. Spoke to office they did nothing. Send messages, heard nothing. As a bonus we had no hot water either. Luckily we only booked one night. Photos below show.. bugs in light fixture, water on floor and water leaking from ceiling..

• Karen (1/5): - There is a restaurant next to the lobby called Sead which was very nice. We originally booked the suite, but they overbooked and didn’t prioritize our booking since it was through a third party website (booking.com). Instead, we stayed at the two bedroom condo and the difference was jarring. One bathroom had a weak AC unit and low water pressure in the shower. The other bathroom had low water pressure in the toilet and could only be flushed every 30 minutes to 1 hour. There were several stains on the sheets, chairs, and kitchen appliances. And we were missing things like a hair dryer which only come with the suites and not the condos. Overall, everything felt older and dirtier than the suite (which our friends successfully had during our stay). Our biggest gripe with the situation is that we paid extra to be in a more comfortable, renovated room and they did not provide that. They gave people who checked in after us their suites. Instead, they gave us a $20 refund.

• Alga (3/5): A very worn down room at a large, generic resort. - This property was in a decent location and was a good price. The breakfast was pretty good. Very old, very poorly maintained room. Our first floor room had a sliding door that didn’t lock. The security latch on the front door was broken. The AC in the main room was broken and had exposed electronics. There were stains on the couch and curtains. There were exposed cables in wall outlets. The shower door in the main bedroom didn’t close. On and on and on…

• Hionia (3/5): Never again. - Good location and staff was very helpful. There was always something wrong. First the air conditioning in one of the bedrooms didn’t work so we moved rooms. Then one of the toilets wouldn’t flush so we moved rooms again. Then the third room another toilet wouldn’t flush but luckily they fixed the problem.
• Ivy (7/5): Good location and very basic facilities - Good location. close to the beach with beautiful sunset. The room is very spacious and is cleaned every day. The facility is out of date. There is no hot water in the shower for the first two days during our stay, and internet didn't work for two days. Would be nicer if there is some basic stuffs in the room i.e napkin, table light.

• Brian Scott (10/5): - During our stay we faced tragedy. The resort manager Rodolfo, stepped up to make sure we were always ok. He drove us to the hospital. Checked in on a regular basis. The kindness and care of the staff always made us feel like we were never alone. I will never be able to thank him enough for being there for us. I would chose sunrock everytime.

• Marc Megan (5/5): If you are looking for a budget friendly hotel this is not your hotel! Mind you Cabo is already expensive to start. - The view from the room was amazing , the room and the area was spacious . No elevator,they gave us the very top floor. A 10min bath will take up to 30min because of the water pressure it’s only trickling water takes a long time to wash out the shampoo from your hair. The breakfast was in a different building that will take up to 5-7mins walk from our building. The location was too far from downtown that led us to call an uber everyday which is very expensive. Not very budget friendly. The breakfast (included in our stay) service is another story you can only pick 3 kinds or else you have to pay for extra. The milk and sugar is an extra cost for the coffee!! Not all people drink black coffee!! We brought our own creamer. The safety box doesn’t work, told the receptionist but didn’t do anything about it. Hard to cary all 5 passports everyday specially the only thing you do in Cabo is go swimming and enjoy the beach. You don’t want it to get wet or lost.

• Carlos (10/5): The View, Wow! - The view was amazing from our Suite, it was beautiful, spacious, comfortable, clean, and modern. The beds were so comfortable, we had a King Size and 2 matrimonial, we were only 3, so we felt like we had a full house to ourselves. The bathrooms were luxurious, and being able to view the arch when coming out the shower was one of a kind. The pool was refreshing after a long day of activities even after going to the beach. The free breakfasts were delicious, and the restaurant looked beautiful. We would book the same suite every time! We loved everything.

L’hôtel m’a offert une nuit pour essayer de compenser mais l’expérience a été très desagreable. Pour info La Paz a beaucoup plus de charme et est moins chère que Los cabos

Not a big amount, but we book and prepay so we don't have to deal with money for accommodation while travelling. Benches really high. Apartments - so should be able to self cater. Two hotplates. No sponge or tea towel for washing up. Some complimentary water, but not one bottle per guest.
• John (5/5): I would not stay here again! - The pools, the ocean view. It was too far from town. Only two five very overpriced restaurants within walking distance. There is also an overprice vegan restaurant on site but it is only open until the afternoon. The kitchen was minimally equipped. A 220 volt hot plate wired into 110 so it takes forever to heat. No pots, but three frying pans. One large knife and a spatula to cook with. Plays any utensils were adequate. But barely. No spare blankets, no dish towels no dish soap. No scrub brushes. Low water pressure in the showers.

• Lia (7/5): If you love having 1200 sq ft and rm to spread out all your gear, this is 4 you, despite poor amenit - The biggest plus of this property is the 1200 square foot 2 bedroom suites, with great views. However, the rooms lacked style and amenities. No kleenex boxes, no blow dryer (a big minus for a pool and beach property). Very close proximity (driving) to excellent large grocery store Fresko with coffee shop. One could find anything you needed. On another note, we did NOT encounter any of the negative issues that previous reviewers gave, such as bugs, trashy pool areas. Our pool area was beautiful and clean, and is shared by Bldg 1 and 2. It had this gorgeous Saguaro cactus at the end of the pool, which was extremely photogenic. The other pools did not have something similar. No real onsite beach, but short drive to the 2 best beaches in Cabo: El Chilino and Santa Maria. Get there by 10:30 to park. Constant traffic noise. The large long street this is on serves numerous resorts; hence there is constant traffic noise. And we stayed in Building 1, which was at the very top of the hill, hence more noise, but also FANTASTIC VIEWS. Beds were okay (and I am picky), but couches, curtains, were very worn. OTHER MAJOR NEGATIVE is that in Master Bdrm, the only electrical outlet is behind the tv. We had to disconnect tv and run extension chords to have phone charging or heating pads near our bed. Another reviewer mentioned this. YOU GUYS REALLY NEED TO HAVE AN ELECTRICIAN CHANGE THIS OUT. My impression is that there is no additional capital expenditure to keep property up to standards.

Dishes and cutlery to use. Fridge kept things nice and cold. Toilet in bathroom off hallway needs repair. Had to take top off each time used to close the blue flap as chain would get stuck under it. Bedpreads were stained. There were multiple tiles throughout the were loose or in disrepair. The kitchen table was marred in a few places. The pictures online didn’t match the apartment. Unable to get to beach-no path.

Decent value for money for Cabos standards. Quiet gym. Spacious apartment. Outside area of the complex looks great. Walking distance to a supermarket and a beach. Only 3 plates in the apartment, 3 frying pans, no pots. The interior of the apartment could use some updating. Low water pressure and it takes ages to get hot water in the shower.

• Ilene (9/5): Superb - Awesome view for an awesome price. Loved that there were several pools to choose from so never had a crowded pool. Quiet location, clean, comfortable bed and good location, enjoyed walking to the beach and using the gym facilities. The shower pressure was very low one day and at times the toilet wouldn't flush as well but staff was very prompt in resolving issue. An elevator would be nice and a full stove top versus hot plate but we made do.

Kind of basic but good enough for a short stay - Location, very convenient for our trip purposes and in general, as it is in a very nice hotel area of the city. Friendly staff, kind of old but functional installations, and excelent price for the zone. View from the room was very nice, the iconic San Lucas Arch. Rooms are very far away from Front Desk, grouped in towers, so carrying luggage is difficult. There is supposed to be a transport service from front desk to the towers but it wasn't available at the moment

The lacation is convenient. The value for the cost is outstanding considering the cost of other hotels in the area. We love Monument Beach and the surrounding properties. the new SunRock Coffee Shop is very nice too. I sent several requests ahead of time to reserve rooms that we wanted. the requests were not granted without some convincing a few days later. The newer fee structure differentiates between room types. now we know.
