• Catherine (10/5): - Wow - this was a fairytale and a delight. The suite itself was well designed and comfortable, with a charming little kitchenette. The service was excellent. We were brought a lovely breakfast every morning, with plenty of espresso coffee and fresh towels. The balcony was phenomenal. We would highly recommend the Architect’s Cave House!

Pas en seconde ligne ni derrière, on est situé pile devant, probablement un des plus beaux de l’île. Le passage de certains personnels ou ouvrier sur notre terrasse des 9h du matin, manque de confidentialité. Attention à bien prendre la « grande » maison, pas la petite, j’en mieux placée pour le coucher de soleil. Le petit déjeuner est de mauvaise qualité, tout industriel, et sans goût, dommage.

The unit was on a corner hillside with a 225 degrees view overlooking other cave houses and providing a perfect view of the sunset. The staff were all wonderful and very friendly. Our hostess was always attentive to our needs (with a friendly attitude). And she made sure our stay was very comfortable. N/A

• Martina Gintare (9/5): Breath taking views - It was a wonderful stay. Staff were very friendly, we met at a nearby place and got brought to the stay. Very very beautiful views from each window in the house and it lays at a beautiful location that you have views from both sides. Wish it was my daily home. You can enjoy the sunset from the front and breakfast was truly amazing. They gave you each day to chose your breakfast from a list that you could have variation and try new delicious meals. During our stay the jacuzzi wasn’t really working which we felt a bit sad about as we looked in particular for a stay that had one with a view to enjoy. Thankfully we got lucky that our neighbors left and staff told us that for the last night we could use the one from our neighbors which was very nicely warm and operational. (The outside area is not fully private depending on who books the other apartment. But that was alright.)

• NICOLAS (10/5): C’est un endroit magique. - L’emplacement, la vue : inoubliable ! Le logement est magnifique. Le jacuzzi pas très propre, la bonde de la baignoire idem, pour le prix nous aurions souhaité que la propreté soit irréprochable. Mais au delà de ça, c’était absolument merveilleux.

• MILDRED (10/5): - Location is a 10 minute walk from everything, near shops (uphill) and the exquisite restaurants (downhill). Outside view is spectacular and the sunset out of this world, no need of reservation elsewhere. Breakfast was ok. Keep in mind jacuzzi with a view, shares entrance with your neighbors, which translates to a less intimate experience if you are outside of your room. We had a great stay and would definitely consider to come back. Thank you John for your assistance!

• Abul (10/5): great - everything was very good. the pool for the room we were in was quiet and private. it was a comfortable stay and the sunset view is totally worthy.. there is a tiny kitchen fully equipped, so we didnt need to buy expensive dinner from outside. we coocked by ourselve and enjoyed the sunset dinner from the room. Its a bit downhill so you would require to walk a bit high to visit the blue dome area however the walk is not long so not a big issue. The view from the room is so mesmerising that I won't mind walking that bit 😊

Yet, we are dissatisfied wit - - Great location (walking distance from all shops and restaurants) - Semi/Private terrace - Amazing view - Quietness - Helpful and available staff - Good breakfast - Bed wasn’t a real bed, it was small, and the matrice was really uncomfortable - Nice cute hot tub, however : we don’t have the feeling that the water is completely filtered and cleaned especially between two arrivals. Three guests left the suite next door and we haven’t seen any one coming to clean the water before the new ones arrived. Moreover, the paint inside the tub was fading away and every time we used it, it left color marks on our body and swimsuit. - We believe it was too expensive for the comfort that the property and its facilities offered.

I suspect would be more crowded in high season. Hot tub didn’t run for more than 1-2 minutes at a time. Not really an issue because the warm weather makes the warm water unnecessary.

• Pattra (10/5): This cave was magical. - We stayed in the Senior Suite. John was really responsive on WhatsApp. Check in was smooth. I recommend not bringing a suitcase with wheels as the ground in Santorini was extremely rocky. This place was magical. The view was out of this world. Shame it was too cloudy to see the sunset during our stay. Room was top notch. Extremely spacious and clean. All amenities were at the highest standard. Everything you need was there. Outdoor bathtub was a bonus and it was really warm. You’ll get the best view while using the bathtub. How cool is that! Location was perfect because it was near an end of Oia so it wasn’t noisy or crowded. Lots of good restaurants and convenient stores within a 10 mins walk. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. If you are thinking of staying here, just do it! Weak internet if I must say. Wifi wasn’t the best but we didn’t mind.

He arranged a airport pickup and return. He also met us in Oia and helped cart luggage and explain a few thing about the area. Breakfast delivered was great with fresh pastries, orange juice and eggs.

• Teri (10/5): Best view ever!! - The location and view of the water/sunset was incredible. It is close to many shops and restaurants but since it is on the far end of Oia it was also quiet. The room had everything we needed and was very spacious. We enjoyed the outdoor private hot tub. The staff was amazing and super helpful. They carried all of our bags from where we parked our car. John the host was gracious and did a lot of research for us on things to do, rental cars and places to eat. He was very responsive when we had questions. Overall, it was one of the best stays we’ve ever had. Loved it!

Luggage issues are dealt with well, considering the terrain We were expecting the place to be a little more modern, given it's a bucket list destination. This did not spoil our enjoyment of the stay. However it was a bit of a shock. Needs a bit of an update

The view is amazing, the hot jacuzzi at the balcony is a big plus and John was great with us! Don't look anywhere else! Maybe the breakfast should be taken in plates to thr balcony instead of boxes. The breakfast is lovely though.

The breakfasts are sent by their cooperative restaurant in Fira. First day they just give us one set, which we are two people. It would be better if the front gate always locked and can only unlock by customers and host. Now the security is only built on trust and respect at there, if someone who doesn't care about it, your territory could be invaded easily. Especially during the sunset.

It's great that there's only 2 villas so it's lovely and quiet - a beautiful part of Oia with the most incredible sunset views. Nothing was too much trouble for John who provided the most excellent recommendations for restaurants and tours. If you want to skip the crowded streets at sunset and have your own personal spot to relax and watch the sunset, this is the place. apartment was very clean and spacious. Hot tub was the perfect temperature and had great privacy. The host was able and willing to help you with any accommodations needed. Only a handheld head in the tub. No shower head.

They did attempt to fix it, but without success; however, one of our nights we were able to use the hot tub outside the neighboring suite while it was unoccupied, which was nice.

• Roberto (10/5): Santorini and The Architect's cave are two of the most romantic places on earth! - Location is perfect, as you are on the point overlooking the Caldera with a 180 degree view - with privacy as the crowds on the walkways are out of site! The rate was a bit high for low season

• Rad (10/5): Phenomenal location, great views, warm welcoming hosts, you just can't ask for a better experience! - This property was beyond amazing and if you are looking to have a great view of the Santorini Sunset then go no further than the Architect's Cave House. You will have perfect private view of the sunset every night. The hosts were amazingly friendly and super helpful in arranging transportation for us and answering any questions we had. Breakfast was delicious as well, with plenty of options and it comes with so much more than just the meal, like juice, milk, fresh bread and butter & jam. Overall an amazing experience! I have no complaints about the property or our stay. I look forward to staying at the Architect Cave house for our next trip to Greece in a year or so. You can't go wrong with this property!

He checked in everyday to see if we needed anything and helped with the transportation wherever and whenever we needed it. The hand shower! We didn't like working that hard to take a shower 😕

The view from the balcony is breathtaking with a perfect view of the sunset from the hot tub at night. George was wonderful and nothing was too much trouble to sort out, including ordering food and drinks to the balcony on our first day and sorting airport transport. we absolutely loved it here and hope we can come back in the future! -

He has arranged the transportation for us from the port and to the airport, shared his recommendations what we should see on the island and even organized a boat trip for us. We literally didn't have to think about the logistics of this trip - he arranged everything for us. He was extremely proactive, hospitable and always available to assist. Perfect 10. We are extremely pleased with his service and our stay at the house.

The location of the property couldn’t be better for sunset views. The selection of breakfast followed by just how delicious everything was was really a wonderful start to the day. Location of property allows for easy access to road and also minutes away from the thick of Oias wonderful restaurant selection.
