• Noam (8/5): Beautiful place in the mountains - We had the beautiful blue room with amazing view over the mountains. The most large and very stylish but it was actually cold at night. The place is simple and the restaurant is simple but the design is very nice interview is wonderful.
• Carol (8/5): Great place up in the mountains for rest and relaxation. Wifi is spotty/ slow, so digital detox! - We had a wonderful time here. It was the quiet mountain escape that we needed. The hotel is very pretty and amenities are in good working order. The staff is super friendly. When we were stranded at the nearby elephant sanctuary, we asked them to come pick us up and they were gracious to do so. Views from the dining area/ lounge is stunning because you're up high. Wake up early to see the sunrise and enjoy the sunset. The baristas make a mean cappuccino. The breakfast alternates with buffet style and a la carte (you order which main dish and then you can self-serve fruit/ toast/ yogurt). Every meal here was a hit. The restaurant was listed on the Michelin guide for several years, so we were blown away by the price, portion, plating, and taste of the dishes. I loved the Massaman curry and sauteed vegetables a lot, but there were other dishes and desserts that made our stay great. The property is small, so it's not like you're going to wander on the grounds. Beds are very comfy and rooms are spacious. I recommend staying at a room upstairs (even if you have a twin bed room) because the downstairs rooms don't get sunlight or airflow, so it feels and smells damp. Plus, the ceilings are higher and you get a balcony. Bathroom is spacious and I love their shampoo/ conditioner/ soap. They use Thess' and PAÑPURI and they smell luxurious. I also recommend that you sign up for a "daily" (only offered Monday/ Wednesday/ Thursday) classes. We made krathong and it was cute. At the bottom of the hill (5-7min walk), you can go to a laundry shop to get your stuff washed. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby via walk/car. Overall, we really enjoyed the tranquil stay and highly recommend. I'll be back! We stayed for a week to relax and work remotely. However, in the dining area, they play the same 4 songs all day (and if you listen to the lyrics, they're depressing). Wifi is slow and spotty, so we didn't work too much at the hotel unless it was in the evening. You do get cell coverage though. It's up on a steep hill so it might be difficult to get a Grab/ Bolt that will take you from Chiang Mai to the chalet. Try to make sure to book your rides in advance to have a higher chance of getting rides to places.

• Sebastian (7/5): - Wunderschöner Blick auf die Berge. Gutes Essen. Sehr ruhig, abgesehen vom Hundegebell. Der Hotelhund ist ein massiver cane corso, der Tag und Nacht frei läuft. Da er mich auch Abends auf der Terasse besuchte, wäre ich ihm gerne vorher vorgestellt worden. Auch sollte man vielleicht das Bellen Nachts vor den Unterkünften kontrollieren. Ob der Service die 10% service charge zusätzlich im Restaurant rechtfertigt, ist wohl Geschmackssache.
• Shalabh (9/5): Excellent property away from the bustle of city with great food and helpful staff - Food was excellent- one of the best Thai food preparations we have tasted. The Chalet accommodated our request for vegetarian preparation and it was great- compliments to the chef and totally deserving of the Michelin star. Rooms have coffee machines, water kettle and bar is stocked with complimentary soft drink- thoughtful gesture. The ambience was nice and the property is well-maintained. A few activities are offered free of cost for guests- we tried the Ice water bucket and it was a great experience. We wanted a 'away from the bustle' property to stay and it met our objective. The view from our villa/room was excellent. Staff are helpful and smiling. Everything was excellent, but some pointers to even better the experience- 1. Food preparation takes a long time but it is worth the wait. 2. Some activities offered as part of package were not available like 'fruit & veggie carving class' that we looked forward to . 3. Our 2 rooms were at different floors despite request for adjacent rooms at the time of booking, so we were separated from the family.
• Dayanara (7/5): - We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff were kind and welcoming, the food was good, and the chalet we stayed in was lovely and full of character. We especially appreciated the way it was built and the thoughtful furniture and details throughout. The only small area for improvement would be general maintenance. In particular, the exterior walls could benefit from a fresh coat of paint. With a little attention to this, the hotel would be even more beautiful.
• Yannick (6/5): - The staff was very helpful.It is a very nice property in the forest and ideal for a retreat. However, we were expecting more zen activities like a yoga session or a spa facilities (hammam, sauna, etc). We do understand that the concept of the property is to cut off from daily routine and enjoy the calmness of the area, however, there are no other activities that can be done and we were a bit disappointed about that. The prices of the restaurant is excessively expensive for what it is served. We understand that it is a Michelin's chef restaurant, but the same meals could be found in the town for half the price and bigger portions. There are no other possibilities than to eat in the restaurant. Also, no grab or bolt can come to the residence, we had to ask one member of the staff to take us to the shops to buy some stuffs. There should be a shuttle available to guests who want to go to main town.

Quality of food at lunch & dinner was extremely good! A 1 star level of service from all the staff in the restaurant, one evening they weren’t even there… we had to go to reception to ask if we could have dinner and it turned out the staff were just sat below the bar on their phones. Breakfast was very bleak with a lack of variety.

• Adrian Lawson (10/5): Perfect for couples, very romantic, with lovely rooms, delicious food and a fabulous view - A lovely boutique hotel in a stunning location with gorgeous mountain views and fabulous rooms, about a 45 minute drive from central Chiang Mai. While we had booked what looked to be a lovely suite, we were lucky enough to receive a room upgrade due to "an issue" in our room, which meant we ended up in the Honeymoon Suite, which was stunning. The hotel dinning room is a lovely room with a fabulous view across the hotel's swimming pool to the mountains beyond. I had the most delicious Massaman curry I have ever eaten. The breakfast is very good with a small self-service selection and an additional choice of cooked food from the menu. There was nothing I didn't like about this hotel.

• Sue (9/5): Amazing - spectacular views. - The setting was lovely. Our room was big and the view was amazing. It had a sense of luxury. The facilities were a little worn down and you had to go through the restaurant to get to the pool.

• dean (5/5): A hit and a miss - Lets start with the size of the room... Wowww it was huge probably the biggest hotel room ive stayed in, the bed was large and super comfortable, the room decor was beautiful and stylish and beautiful view of the mountains from the balcony. Location was not very good there is absolutely nothing to do near by with just one local village store at the bottom of the hill, if you dont have your own transport your pretty screwed as a taxi or bolt will take 50 minutes to reach you. The water in the room was filthy it was dark brown in the toilet, sink and shower, you had to leave the water run for 30 minutes to clear but still it smelt dirty, staff where helpful but seem very shy and nervous to talk to you, absolutely no atmosphere whatsoever. Food was extremely average at best and breakfast was terrible. The pool was in a awkward location right beside the restaurant it felt awkward to swim there while people are eating. We checked out a day early as we felt we were just wasting our time there.

• Rebecca (8/5): Stunning outlook - limited close activities. - It is an absolutely beautiful location for rest and relaxation, surrounded in 50 shades of green 💚 staff were helpful and friendly. Beautiful villa perfevt for family. One air con in the upstairs bedroom would not work correctly so too hot to sleep for 1 child. The lovely staff tried to to fix when raised. If you dont have a car then there is nothing close around in easy walking distance so we were limited to eating at hotel ($$) or at 1 restaurant across the road only.

• Philip (8/5): Warming up to Luxury - A luxury accommodation near the city, with super comfy beds and staff who know how to please. Quiet, with a restaurant that has previously boasted a Michelin chef. Unfortunately, the central boiler failed during our one-night stay, thus cold showers were all that were available, even though we waited until 15 minutes before checkout at noon. Staff adjusted 15% off our restaurant tab as an adjustment for no hot water. This was the equivalent of $13 off the room rate.

• Peter (7/5): Great accommodation, ...just avoid the Restaurant! - Great accommodation, good location with excellent view, good pool although a little small... Service in the Restaurant was rubbish! ...if this is a Guide Michelin restaurant, then the Guide is seriously losing its credibility! Half the items on the menu were not available (Singha beer, Pork Ribs, Oreo Ice Cream, Croissants at breakfast). On the subject of Desserts, they ONLY had Cheesecake, which arrived warm and with a blob of strawberry jam on top, rather than the fresh berries shown in the menu photograph... I asked for an Americano at breakfast and got what must have been a quadruple Espresso - had to go lie down to recover =o

• Cody (9/5): Amazing place with a super helpful staff! I would recommend to anyone visiting from Europe or the USA. Ask for Bent and - The rooms and location are beautiful. Even the next block that says “didn’t like” isn’t really a didn’t like just things that could be added to make it even better! Not so much didn’t like but would make the experience even better: if a hotel shuttle could be added and perhaps a little better wifi.

• Justin (7/5): Nice stay, but make sure you have your own plan before going because they do know how to help - Beautiful views and their upgraded suite room was charming, very colonial. Some very friendly staff like the check in lady. It was far out, which we knew but other than the ultra expensive but not great restaurant, there were no other choices. Bring so far out, we tried to have the hotel book some activities but they seemed just as confused as we were. My wife and I said, the hotel staff doesn’t know why people come here, meaning: they didn’t know how to facilitate literally anything outside. We wanted to stay in the mountains and have a nice view and we would have loved for the hotel to have a list of like 10 things a tourist could do in the area and provide transport and prices. Fees would be ok! But they just didn’t have the capability. The restaurant staff was so nervous to speak in English and they weren’t the most friendly. They more made you feel like you were inconveniencing their lives. Although there was a young guy who was friendly and the manager was nice. Finally, the staff wasn’t always available. We would try to call the front office and no one would pick up. That wasn’t great. Overall, it wasn’t bad. But! Do make sure that you have your own plan and your own transport.
• Laura (6/5): Great view, especially from the deluxe room - The view is amazing. The pool was refreshing. And the room was nice, especially when they upgraded me. Too many taxidermy animals gives the place a creepy vibe. Plus, the hotel has zero staff available overnight, so when another guest had a medical emergency, I had to help him get an ambulance.
