- Ernestas (3/5): Poor -
- Rachel (1/5): Double bed rooms are not for 2 persons - It’s in the center Honestly I never comment but I need to warn for future travellers. We booked a double bed room for 2 persons and we got a bed for one person. I try to talked with the reception but they insisted it was a room for 2 persons but the bed wasn’t for 2 . The only option they gave us was to book another room. At the end of the trip we asked an invoice and the reception guy didn’t want to give us one. We insisted and he said it was not his job to provide us with an invoice and we should check with booking. He was really rude. Never happened before to me this situation we always booked with booking and always the hotel provided us with an invoice.
- Rocky (8/5): Very good - The staff was Professional and friendly. No issues checking in or out. Good location; close to a lot of restaurants, the subway, and there are plenty of taxi's in the area. Good for the price, very reasonable. Unfortunately, the room itself did have some problems that maintenance should address; the ac in the room leaked and I had to use the trashcan and bag to catch the drops and it dripped for 2 days. There was no one at the desk in the evenings to report this to :-(
- James (9/5): Superb -
- Joshua (3/5): Poor - The staff was very nice and helpful. The first room we stayed in was accidentally a smoking room and the smell was horrible. They transferred us rooms . That room was good but air conditioning did not work at all, so had to keep windows open. The room was dirty and much smaller than the pictures from webpage.
- ワダ (4/5): Disappointing -
- Anneliese (5/5): Would not recommend - Ypu can stay there with your pets ( i did not but that was a cool feature) Location was close to where I needed it to be but that place is not common with tourists. There was rust in the bathroom, water stains and mould starting on the roof of the bathroom. Found a spider in the shower. Found other people's rubbish under the bed
- André (10/5): Exceptional - Big bathtub, high ceiling
- Kuroiwa (8/5): Very good -
- Louis (4/5): Its cheap, but easy to see why. - Dirty walls in the bathroom, rusted sink, generally not clean.
- Suzuki (1/5): Bad -
- Rhyzza (4/5): Not bad nor not good - The staff is friendly The room is small and not totally clean. Dont have a window
- You (1/5): horrible - nothing First of all, it is not clean, the room we checked in has spider web.
Secondly, the renovation is very old. There are paper coming off the wall, the sink is rusty, the edge of the bath has water stain. The door of the room is made of iron. I felt like i lived in acage or prison. The room has only one key, not door card, an actual key lol.
Thirdly, the price is not cheap, it is not budget at all. We spent about 10000 a night there.
Fourthly, the area is noisy because the room is facing street, I heard the ambulance, and police car pass by very often.
Fifth, the room is not for two people because the web says single bed, but for two people. Also the bed is veey squeeze for two people, we barely has room to turn over.
Sixth, the check put time is usually 11 for any hotels we check in previously, their check in time is 10.
Last but not the least, the location is a bit far from subway, u need walk like 15 mins, with our heavy luggage.
Overall, the experience ia horrible.

- Nabin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Limas (6/5): Pleasant -
- Raimu (1/5): Bad -
- Jake (4/5): Disappointing -
- Chiita (1/5): 100% not recommended - the staffs were helpful the AC can’t be changed, almost dying cuz it was too hot and too dry. the room was too small and too dirty. there was only 2-3 outlets lol can’t even charge my phone and blow dry my hair at the same time lol. can’t believe they charge so much for this kind of room😂
- Lucious (6/5): Pleasant -
- Shakil (1/5): Bad - Reception staff super good. Old building, Furniture poor, bath room poor , rooms are very narrow. Electric equipment so old. It was not Japanese standard. Rates or too high according building and Furniture quality. Rvery thing like gomi.
- James (8/5): Very good -
- Noureddine (5/5): Passable -
- Md. (5/5): Passable - Stuff Utensils
- Kayo (9/5): Superb -
- LesterWellington (8/5): You get what you pay for - You look for a budget hotel and you should expect what you pay for. In all, great value!
The rooms are small and I mean small. There is no wardrobe and you have the feeling of entering a prison cell with the heavy metal room doors, however, it's clean, has everything you need and is comfortable. Internet connection was awesome. Never dropped out.
This is not the place you stay if you want comfort but perfect if all you need is a place to sleep. This is ideal if you are visiting the nearby JKA Karate HQ. In fact I think it's the closest hotel to it.
There is a bakery downstairs and lots of nearby supermarkets for food and drink.
Probably the only hotel in Tokyo where the staff do not appear to speak English.
Enjoyed my visit though and would stay again.
- muntasiricddrb (8/5): If you are looking for cheap options! - This hotel is cheap so don't expect much. Opposite to the hotel you can find a Family Mart and a Lawson. The hotel is within 1 kilometer from nearby subway station. It's very close to Bunkyo Civic Center.
- zarahr2014 (6/5): Ok hotel, nice surroundings - Stayed here for 6 nights in April with my boyfriend. The hotel is really close to Tokyo Dome, which is a pretty nice area with a bunch of restaurants and shops, and even a little supermarket. There is a Family Mart combini (convenience store) just across the street of the hotel, which was absolutely wonderful, so you don't need to look long for a quick breakfast. The hotel is close to Korakuen station, around a 8-10 minute walk.
The hotel, overall, was nice. The room and bed was a bit too small for my liking, but it had space enough for all our stuff. The only thing I wasn't happy with, was that the window in our room couldn't close properly. The road outside is not super noisy, but it did become a bit of a bother by the end. The toilet is super hi-tech, and there was a tub as well. The hotel staff knows limited English. Check-in and check-out was fast.
- WandererOnTheRoad (6/5): Hotel nearest JKA Headquarters - Since the only other Englsih-language mention of this hotel on the Internet is on the Japan Karate Association website, any reader of this review is likely to be a JKA member planning a visit to JKA Headquarters, so here's some information that you may find helpful:
* This is the hotel's (Japanese) website: http://web.travel.rakuten.co.jp/portal/my/mapOperation.top?f_hotel_no=5322&f_teikei=
* Not only is the website in Japanese, but the desk staff speak no English.
* This is definitely the closest hotel to JKA HQ (maybe 5 minutes walk) but there are others not much further away. The much more luxurious Tokyo Dome Hotel, for example, is about a 15 minute walk, and - unlike the J-Links - is convenient to the rail and metro lines.
* Even for Japanese business hotels, the rooms here are small. Note, for example, that there are no drawers, so you will be living out of your suitcase.
* The metal doors make it seem very institutional.
* In late 2008, the room rate was less than 8000 yen per night, so pretty inexpensive.
* Make sure you print off the map of the hotel location, since even the taxi drivers at nearby Suidobashi Station are unfamiliar with this hotel. You might also want to use Google Map's "street view" feature to look at the hotel and its surroundings so that you will recognize it even if the taxi driver doesn't.
* There's a laundromat in the next block south, an important consideration if you're trying to decide how many bulky karate uniforms to pack.
* You enter the hotel through what initially appears to be the door to the neighbouring bakery.
* Amazing water pressure in the shower! Be careful.
* The staff will expect you to stay out of your room until after 3:00 p.m. when the cleaning finishes.
* You will be expected to hand in your key at the desk when you go out.
