• Calliope (9/5): Positive - Nice surprise to find popcorn and 2 packets of hot cocoa for amenities in kitchen after 4:30 pm check in straight from our day of ski & ride. Be even nicer if they included 3 packets of hot cocoa as there are 3 guests. This is when Front desk and housekeeping needs to communicate. It is all about the details :-) Very clean, comfortable and full size amenities in bathroom. There is a TV in the bedroom and in the living room with the sofa bed though we didn't use it. Hot water isn't enough for 2-3 guests to shower back to back. Not to mentioned soaking in bathtub. Some guests prefer to soak in the bathtubs using bath salts and not use the public hot tubs.

• Williams (9/5): A gem on slopes - The sauna was what drew me in. We enjoyed that and the hot tub. We basically came in late and left early so we didn’t enjoy the surroundings, and the pancake and bacon breakfast was icing on the cake as I didn’t know we’d be offered breakfast. Someone was cooking in another apartment and the odor really didn’t agree with me. No fault of the establishment, of course.

• Svetlana (10/5): We come here in different seasons. We like the sauna and the jacuzzi. We will definitely come again. - The room is clean, and it has everything we need for our family stay. You need to be careful in the evening. We saw a small bear near the clubhouse.

• NKO (8/5): Older building and could use some refreshing, but well-priced and location can't be beat. - Location was incredible, especially if your kid is in ski school. Literally steps away from ski school and red dog lift. Overall everything was clean, but generally had an old musty smell to the building, especially prominent in spaces like the gym/clubhouse. Minor thing in the grand scheme of things, but some deodorizing / refreshing could go a long way in making the place feel more cozy & homy

• Joseph (10/5): - Very close to the Red Dog lift. Truly ski in/ski out. The room was well appointed and had everything you will need. Good security and a short walk to the village. The kitchen and bathroom floor were freezing cold. The floor is stone that sits on concrete with a garage below. Bring warm socks or slippers.

• Slawomir (9/5): Nice studio for people who like to cook their own meals - The one-bed studio we rented was spacious and had a well appointed kitchen. The studio was clean and had lots of towels in the bathroom. The jetted bathtub is a nice bonus. The lodge rents bikes for free and we biked down to Tahoe City on the nice path along Truckee River. The area was very quiet since it was mid-week and in the slow season for the area. Nothing major, just a few minor annoying things. The ice maker in the fridge can be very loud at night. The light above the bed seems to have a mind of its own and turns off on a whim.

If you want a view/spa/fancy lobby, look elsewhere. - Totally affordable 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment/condo with adorable furniture and a fully stocked kitchen. It was clean, and quiet, and for Tahoe, you just cant beat the price. Free parking. Its basic, hence why it is affordable. The front office staff could care less, not a smile to be seen. There is coffee in the office but its only open from 9-11 and 4-6! The building itself is really nice, easy parking, but my goodness the view of the construction and parking lot (which is always going to be there) is horrendously ugly. Still, we'd stay again as Tahoe is ridiculously expensive and this was like being in a home without having to pay for cleaning fee.

Yet i found the heater was on when I walked into the room, quite hot when it is in the late July time. The wifi connection was unstable, probably due to the room assigned is around the end corner of the buolding on the first floor.
• S (4/5): Did not live up to my expectations or its price. - Location and parking are good. The room was ok, bed was comfortable. NO Internet. It only worked for the first hour or so of my two day stay, All the other hotels had Wifi, so it wasn't the weather, which is what the front desk told me. Housekeeping and fresh towels had to be REQUESTED, and I was sent a text wanting me to bag all trash etc. They didn't even make the bed for over $300 a night! They had an envelope out for tips though! TV is very small, and can't be seen easily from the bed. The oven can only be opened if you open the refrigerator door as well. Hot water ran out during my shower.

This is our first time staying here and it exceeded our expectations. We came up for a family trip and our two year old loved it! The bed was very comfortable. The room was super clean. The kitchen had everything anyone would need to cook up some meals. I was very pleased especially with the kitchen. The first level doesn’t have a balcony but it has a sliding door that leads straight to the free to use grills, Hot tubs and the club house and plenty of chairs and tables and even a fire pit. Our two year old loved playing corn hole tagt was provided by the hotel. They also have ping pong. The staff is also very helpful and friendly. Every month they have a calendar with different events. When we stayed there was a scavenger hunt and a welcome breakfast. All this for the price we paid is as good as it’s going to get it was a great time and we are coming here again.

• Maura (9/5): Old School Stay - Liked having a kitchen so that I could avoid the restaurants' high prices. My room was quiet--but I can admit that if there were a lot of rowdy kids around, it would be noisy since the walls are a bit thin. As dated as it is, I liked having jacuzzi tubs as an alternative to the hot tubs. Fire pits were nice. Although not particularly "fancy", it's a comfortable and relaxing place to stay. There's a lot of room, it's peaceful, you may (or may not) get a view of the mountains (I had a partial view and it was nice) The staff is friendly and welcoming. It was a great choice for me and I would come here again. My room's ice maker was broken, so I had to ask where I could get some ice--the only place to get it was the clubhouse, which was not open all the time. :( The air conditioner was ridiculously loud; fortunately, I could just open the window and turn on the fan. But hot sleepers might have an issue if every room is like that. Bring your own coffee if you are an early riser! There's a stocked kitchen, but no coffee packets and creamers. The c Costco (KIrkland) coffee is available starting at 9:00, but for early risers like me and who didn't bring coffee, it's a bummer. Luckily, Coffee Bar is less than 2 minute walk and opens at 7:00.

No one was about, lifts were not working front desk closed. We’d no way of getting in, no one to tell us what was happening. Eventuality we saw a couple come out a side door and we got back in. I said it when checking out and got a shrugged shoulders that yea it happens

Rooms while not too updated, are clean and comfy and all appliances and heating worked well. Loved our windows facings the ski slopes and often opened them for fresh mountain air. Free washer dryer use. Lots of good pillows and better quality soaps, shampoo, lotion. Spacious room with beautiful wood tables and chairs. Checking in was strange and uncomfortable with Jennifer who said nothing but just mutely stared past me when I said Hello and that I was checking in. No welcome greeting, no thank yous, etc. I tried not to are it personally and figured that she was lost in thought on other matters rather, rather than just being rude? All other desk staff were pleasant throughout our stay. The young man who ran the complimentary snacks in the lounge room was genuinely welcoming and friendly, setting a nice vibe. Cleaning lady also was a sweetheart. Couldn't find the parking garage as it had snowed and driveway to lodge was not plowed like the neighboring Palisades garage was. Google maps will lead you to that Palisades garage, so go past that first street and look for the not big enough sign on the building that says "Red Wolf Lodge" to make an unmarked right turn and find the open parking garage with next to reception lobby directly on the right.

The one bedroom apartment we had was perfect. It had a fabulous layout and was immaculate. Everything we would have wanted or needed was there The fact that we only had one night!
