Guest Reviews

- Cervantes (6/5): - Paisajes Piscina sucias
Camas demasiado duras
Habitación con olor a humedad
- Zavala (10/5): -

- Gustavo (10/5): Great place - The view was pretty nice
- Fernando (9/5): Just good - It was clean. There was not staff at the reception when we arrived.
- Amaury (7/5): Good -
- Olivier (7/5): Good - The food at the restaurant was below average. Furthermore, there was only one waiter for several tables.
- Veronica (10/5): Enjoyable and relaxing atmosphere- Thabk you - Very well taken care of No iron in room
- Oberhansley (9/5): Great - Bonito lugar Out side town

- Cmx450c (10/5): Exceptional -
- Oscar (7/5): Good -
- Teresa (8/5): Very good - I liked the quietness and waking up to nature. The beds were hard and the toilet broke towards the end our stay. It was somewhat fixed , but in reality they need to invest on their rooms..
- Ron (2/5): Very poor - The hotel was very nice, a lot of stairs, and a beautiful pool area The facility was very quint, but with temperatures going down to 5 Celsius there was no heat in the rooms. No hot water and the beds were very hard
- Juan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Juan (10/5): Agradables - Todo en general Excelente
- Ma (8/5): Very good -
- Ignacio (4/5): Disappointing -
- Pvoudouris (1/5): Award for WORST Booking experience - Little. Nothing, actually. Dirty. No heating (freezing cold). Two electric sockets, one at door and one in bathroom. Lights non-functioning with cabling stripped bare (see photo), covers with cigarette burns, threadbare sheets, toilet with faulty flush unit which needed to be stopped by hand each time. Long black hair throughout the bathroom floor. Headboards not connected to the beds and wobbly. This was really the worst place I’ve stayed in all my years reserving with Booking and through all the countries I’ve traveled.
- George (4/5): A place where you will visit only once. - The location is beautiful. Everything is outdated. Bathrooms need upgrades, Chimney needed repairs, as it was slanted towards the room and the logs kept falling out.
- Disc (2/5): Rejected and dejected - My initial reservation was accepted - confirmation/pin number.
Then, somehow somehow the hotel rejected it and I'm guessing because they didn't want to honor Booking.com
I still haven't found out if I was charged - since I've been on the road and have had other pressing priorities. My initial reservation was accepted - confirmation/pin number.

- Derling (10/5): Confortable y accesible de costo - Instalaciones y vistas Ruido
- Irving (9/5): Superb -
- Ortiz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Berenice (5/5): Passable -
- Sara (3/5): Hotel for parties and not for a quiet experience - Although it's far from the city centre, the location was in a nice setting due to the gardens, the gardens are massive and well-kept.
The rooms are big but need updating.
The bell boy was friendly and helpful, thank you. This is supposed to be a quiet, peaceful place to rest, no such luck. The hotel also has rooms for parties and events so , if there's a party or an event, bad luck as there's loud music playing. Nowhere in the description of the hotel says that there might be parties at the weekend. The music was playing until 3 am, not what we were looking for or paid for!
They moved us to a quieter room but the rooms were not in a great condition, there was no hot water until after 7 am, no one told us this.
There are no food offerings on site, the restaurant closes at 5.30 pm and, as they are far from the city centre, we had to call Rappi for food delivery, not a sophisticated choice for a special birthday weekend!
The pool area is unkept. It has great potential but there's no investment.
The hotel should identify what they are trying to achieve and who their target audience is, is it a good hotel offering or parties? Parties seem to be getting the priority and guests come as an after-thought.
We moved rooms 3 times for different reasons, not a great experience for a one night stay!
This place is not for people with mobility issues, too many stairs, no ramps anywhere.
All in all, not a great experience and wouldn't recommend staying here unless you're looking to party all night.
- Rafael (5/5): Noisy - There was a party going on until 2:00 am
Impossible to get some sleep due to the loud music playing.
Nobody mentioned this in advance. Breakfast
- Cmx450c (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bonnie (7/5): Nice place to stay, needs some attention to details - Loved the countryside location, handy for visiting surrounding villages and avoiding Uruapan traffic. Breakfast was good, but since we stayed for 6 days, it would have been nice to have a little variety.
The bell boy was available to bring firewood and make the fire in the fireplace in our room. It ended up creating a lot of smoke in our room, so we didn't repeat that experience, but was a nice touch, nevertheless. Coffee was terrible. It was not filtered and had grounds (a lot!) every morning.
Staff generally unfriendly. Had some issues when paying bill.
Mattresses need to be changed!
Bedding and towels need upgrading. Some of our towels, blankets, etc. had large holes and need to be thrown into a rag bag.
Pool should be heated to be able to use it in this location. A hot tub would be perfect!
I saw some reviews saying that the hotel needs remodeling. I disagree. This is a historic and beautiful facility with a true colonial feeling. If the mattresses and bedding and towels were changed, it would bring the level of this hotel up to standard with its original intent.
- Karen (10/5): Very enjoyable. - Beautiful location out of the city but close to freeway access to leave. Everything was well taken care of on landscaping and the property is huge! The restaurant was on the second floor large and had lots of windows so you could a great view of everything from there. The room had a back door to the pool area with table and chairs so you could sit outside and enjoy the pool right from outside your door. The office did not have 3-prong to 2-prong conversion adaptors so I could not use my laptop, All the electric adaptors in the room are 2-prong.
- Alanagustinor (8/5): Very good -
- Francisco (3/5): Poor -
- Art (9/5): Beautiful Older Hotel, Great Value! - This is a very beautiful older hotel. It retains the elegance of a former era, but it shows its age. The restaurant is wonderful, and the staff are very. It is very safe and secure. The views are amazing. The restaurant does not have a bar, but it does serve beer. It also closes at 5:00 pm. We were lucky to arrive in time for a couple of beers and appetizers, but were unable to get dinner. There is nothing close enough to walk to. It did not appear to have many guests, perhaps due to the struggling economy, so it would not make sense to staff an empty restaurant. Hot water was inconsistent, but not a bother. I still highly recommend this hotel.
- Francisco (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maria (5/5): I enjoyed my stay - Gorgeus view, Pool was clean and beautiful, you can smell the forest and breathe clean air. It doesn't have facilities for the incapacity and old people. my uncle is blind and / have 2 85 relatives that need to walk to the restaurant. too many stairs and no railing for the stairs. no ramps. in the rooms have fireplace but the burning wood will come out from the fireplace. and you need to ask to come to the room to start the fire. Its cold at night
