- Olga (7/5): Delux twin , Venice Guest House Lions - Sijainti on erittäin hyvä, 2min kävelymatka ruokakauppaan, baariin, ravintolaan, pieniin katumarketiin, aivan vieressä on upea paikallinen herkkukauppa magazik formaggi, paikallinen viinikauppa Rimani. Henkilökunta on pilossa, joten vaikea saada vastaukset peruskysymyksiin. Siivojakin ei puhunut englantia. Periateessa olet itseselvittäjä, jos et ymmärrää miten jotain toimii, vaikea saada vastaukset. Emme löytäneet kuvauksessa mainittu terassi. Meillä oli delux twin. Mielestäni delux on väärä sana, vaikka huoneessa on sähkösängyt, pieni oma jääkaappi, vedenkeitin ja tv. Annetaan silti 7, ottaen huomioon että kyseessä on guest house.

- Benita (6/5): - Good location. The floor is very uneven and loud, and beds are awfully loud.
- SABRINA (10/5): - La riservatezza Nulla
- Lorenzo (9/5): Lions Venezia - Posizione eccellente.
Vicino ad una coop , zona non affollata.
- Carol (8/5): -
- Anonymous (7/5): Good - It was located very nice and the communication was good It was all very nice but it would have been nice if the bathroom and toilet were separate
- Oleksandr (9/5): Superb - Wonderful spread Public transport stops within walking distance of 5 minutes maximum ', The very center of the city, very convenient. There is a grocery store next to the house,l.
Coffee, tea, and various condiments are in the kitchen, which is quite convenient when you come for 1-2 days!
We rented a large suite consisting of two rooms with their own shower which has a lot of space even for a large family, the room had three beds and one double bed. Very comfortable bed, nice to rest on Small problems with the fridge in our room. But there is an additional large shared fridge in the kitchen!
- William (5/5): Passable -
- Shabina (9/5): It was good value for money - Everything was good its just the distance from station which was a good 25mints walk. Distance, and non availability of staff at the hotel but person on WhatsApp was prompt to respond.
- Oksana (10/5): Exceptional - It feels as you came to visit your beloved auntie, the house is full of coziness and comfort. Very welcoming and clean premises.
- Barbara (8/5): Great li action out of main tourist area , nearby local shops and ferries, but beds not very comfortable with shared ba - Good location and out of main tourist area Shared bathroom, beds not very comfortable
- Laura (5/5): It’s kind of okay for the price, but dont expect a lot - Good location. They answer fast vía WhatsApp. Shared bathroom was not clean :(
- Scott (4/5): Average and overpriced. If we didn’t already know the city the confusion over getting into the property would have been - Location is good, close to main route into the city but not too busy. A single shared bathroom makes for a lot of waiting when other rooms are also occupied.
The process of getting into the property was disorganised and resulted in us being late for a presentation we were in the city to deliver.
Following a misunderstanding about checking out (it’s 10.00am FYI) the host seemed to imply we had misused the room by having 4 people stay instead of 2 - a completely unfounded accusation. After the shambles of getting into the place that was barely used due to our work with colleagues in the city it was a frustrating part of an otherwise great trip for us.
- Ariana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rudi (9/5): Highly recommended!! - Perfect place if you'd like to feel how it would be to live in Venice a century ago. It's a very cosy place with interesting decoration.
Everything was very clean and tidy.
The host, Martina, was extremely friendly and promptly answered all our questions, either in person or through WhatsApp.
It's close to all amenities and tourist spots, which allowed us to explore most attractions by foot with no hassle.
The kitchen is well equipped and has all you need for a meal. Please be considerable and polite by cleaning after use (we had no problems during our stay).
Highly recommended!! There's only one toilet in the house, which is shared by all 5 rooms. Patience is key and not a huge problem with proper planning.
We could not find a second hairdryer, which was also shared by all (but we also didn't bother asking the host about).
- Inesa (4/5): Disappointing -
- Prabhat (7/5): Good - Good location. Cozy place. Maybe slightly expensive for what was on offer.
- Renata (8/5): Very good -
- Timothy (8/5): Very good -
- Katarzyna (8/5): Very good -
- Signe (9/5): Superb - Super nice location, charming and spacious rooms (president's appt), a grocery shop 10 meters away, smooth self check-in, very well equipped kitchen.
Would love to come back! It was not a problem just be aware that the kitchen is not 'private', as it says. It's common for the 5 rooms.
(1/5): Horrible stay - They did not agree to a refund due to emergency health issues
They did not respond until the check-in time, so there was no opportunity to leave our luggage and explore the city.
They deliberately did not show the room until I paid for the second person; I wouldn’t have stayed there for €106 per night.
After paying for the second person, they kept trying to charge my card again.
There were dead insects on the walls, including bugs.
In the evening, we had to bathe in cold water—in winter.
The room was cold, and there were no blankets.
- Yurii (4/5): Disappointing - Clean bathroom. Room was clean. The way to get to your room it is a real quest with 5 different locks on the way. The hall is very old and dusty.
Windows aee so thin that i can hear the steps of people outside.
The doors are also not isolated and i can hear everything what happen in the hall.
For hot water you have to wait around 10 minutes.
This place need renovation. For this money it doesn't worth.
- Darius (7/5): Very Interesting Interior but Challengeable Doors and Not Comfortable Atmosphere - The interior was very interesting and unique but uncomfortable. The big kitchen. Possibility to leave the luggage after the check-out. It is a good place to create the movie, but not to relax. The staff responds fast and tries to help. One shower for a lot of guests. The spacious environment feels a bit cold and not cosy (not comfortable). A lot of stairs, no elevator. A lot of locks (to enter the room you need to pass a lot of doors, locks and stairs). The last lock to the room is very old and strange, even danger since I hurt my finger. The environment is not so safe since somebody stole my tripod. Too expensive for such a level of the comfort. Late check-in, early check-out.
- Sumit (9/5): Superb -
- Ramune (2/5): Very disappointing hostel but not guest house - We liked only the location of this guest house The guest house did not match the description at all. We were surprised when the shower was standing next to the bed in the Presidential suite. Not only that, we had to share the only normal bathroom that was shared by five other rooms (about 15 people). The beds were uncomfortable and very small.
Access to the premises is also very complicated. You need to collect three codes, which are erased and barely visible, especially at night.
Internet connection is very poor. For this price, we could definitely find a better place. The place is not worth a penny. This is not a guest house, but a hostel in the true sense of the word, where many people share all the common rooms, so you can't expect either peace or rest.
The host is very impolite.
- Sally (8/5): Great quiet-ish location still near the hotspots - Location was great, close to vibrant areas though quiet-ish lanes. Spacious room and everything was clean- heating and air conditioner (portable) was provided though not needed for the stay. Nice to have a kitchen space to cook and prepare food, and made for a great social space. Also good to have towel and individual bath mat provided for the shared bathrooms. Cleaners came through each day which was excellent. Noise coming from outside and from renovations (?) going on upstairs were very loud. Out of the control of the Lions Guest House but mentioning it as the walls, doors and floors are thin, use earplugs and that helps a lot. Shared bathroom meant sometimes having to wait for access (though second option downstairs). [just a note that the ad mentions 24 hour ‘reception’ - there is no reception, just 24 coded access]
- Umid (6/5): Passable but would look for another place. - Good location with restaurants and supermarkets around. It is 15-20 minute walk from the main sights which makes the area much less noisy. The floor is very cold if you stand on it barefoot. A bit annoying that you have to walk in shoes. Although the lounge room is available, you don’t really use it. We used the kitchen only. The internet is probably the worst I have ever seen so far. 1 mbps download and even less for the upload speed.
- Thomas (2/5): Very poor - Lions Venice guest house
If you don't mind sharing a toilette with 5!!! other apartments, then this is the place for you. They promised a shower in the room and they weren't exaggerating! That's exactly what you get. A shower stall in the room!!!! The water takes forever to reach your room and when it does it's either scalding or freezing. The furniture is from the 1800's except the beds. They are from the 1700's. Although you get a sanitized sense in the "suite" (pretty cheeky to call this a suite.), the pillow is as hard as a rock. No wonder with 32 year old feathers. Finding the place requires the nose of a bloodhound,as there is no signage and the street numbers are totally faded. Receiving your access codes is about as easy as getting a private audience with the pope. You need three (3)!!!!!keys to access your room. All of which are stored in conveniently and strategically placed keysafes. Each safe has a different code. Stay away from any alcohol if you want to go to bed at night. Then again why would you want to? The beds sag so much you are a guaranteed scoliosis patient and a slipped disc is on the house, courtesy of Lions. Facit: This place has a base camp or youth hostel vibe to it. Lots of noise coming from the common kitchen and if you expect a good's night sleep, beware that the marketers and vendors start setting up around 6:30am und it feels like and sounds like an earthquake . You share the kitchen as well. I guess sharing the toilets isn't intimate enough for this establishment. By the way, free Wi-Fi service is offered but only rarely works. Far too expensive for what is offered. The only thing this place has going for it are the bars, pubs and market place surroundings. Lions Venice guest house! Never again!!!!
- Emily (7/5): Good - Location is good and next to a supermarket and near cafes and bars, whilst still being in a quieter area. I liked the room and found it easy to enter the property. Good kitchen facilities! I booked very last minute and was impressed because of this! The bed was way too soft for me, but for one night this was ok. I had the window open and was therefore woken up by loud deliveries to the Coop next door. (I was in the single bed room number 3). I would have liked another bathroom, or better signage to the bathroom on the ground floor - I only used this in the morning when I found out it was available.
- Kamila (4/5): Not impressed. Wouldn't choose it again. - Good place near the centre. Lot of restaurants and shops in the area. Everething was clean. One shared bathroom for all rooms is not enough also if toilet is in the bathroom. Lot of waiting for the bathroom because there is about four rooms for one toilet. Didn't expect to have shover one meter next to the bed in our presidental suit. Really smelly cabinet in our bedroom so nowhere to put our stuff. Lack of dishes in the shared kitchen. Bad communication just over an automatic bot. Wifi didn't work.
- Joan (10/5): Perfect! - It was perfect Nothing
- Talia (7/5): Good -
- Melanie (6/5): Pleasant - only one toilet for several people is difficult
- Vinh (8/5): Very good -
- Andres (10/5): Exceptional -
- Genevieve (8/5): Comfortable and affordable stay in the heart of Venice - Great location, bedroom was great and kitchen was such a nice amenity to have! The first day the shower drain was clogged but was unclogged by the second day.
- Rebecca (10/5): 10/10 was amazing; would stay again if we came back. Grazie mille - We loved the location and the fact that there was air conditioning in the rooms. It felt super safe and quiet. It wasn’t clear that the bathrooms were shared with the other guests.
- Roma (5/5): Overpriced. - Location, big rooms and kitchen. It wasn’t clear enough when I was booking that the bathroom is shared among 5 rooms. If there are 2 people staying then you have 10 people waiting for the shower and toilet. I really didn’t like the wait.
- Taslima (5/5): Passable -
- Daniel (7/5): Good -
- Nuno (8/5): Very good -
- Sonya (7/5): Good - Loved the authentic Italian style of room and house. Location was quiet and fun to find in the back streets of Venice with grocery store and cafe's in the street nearby. While the bathroom was lovely and clean, I had to wait a long time to use it as only one bathroom for 4 guest rooms was not enough. There was an alternate toilet/shower option downstairs but that was not clean or easy to use. By the time I got a shower there was no hot water left!
- Maryna (10/5): Everything was good and safe. I love the most that if I came before check-in we can use a shower and let our stuff in an -
- Bozhena (9/5): Superb -
- Frances (7/5): Basic, but affordable accommodation in a decent location - It was affordable and in a great location. It was easy to walk everywhere and there were nice bars and restaurants nearby. We were in a twin room, we didn’t realise when we booked it that one of the beds was a ‘fold-out couch’. It was more like a long ottoman. It was incredibly uncomfortable. There was no cushioning and you could feel the slats digging into your back.
- Christine (6/5): Pleasant - Great location, easy walk from Fondamente Nova Quay. Near cafe/restaurants The bedroom door keys were noisy at night. The bathroom door was noisy - stuck against door jamb and noisy key in lock.
- Pedro (5/5): Good location and good decoration but they should improve the coach conditions for sleep! - The location and the house in general was kind of vintage and cute! We book two bed room, my bed was a sofa that wasnt level or straight, so my back was really hurting with preassure and effect of sleeping with some tables higher than others!
- Caton (5/5): This is budget accommodation in every sense, expect hostel standards. - The accommodation is in a good location, it is easy to get to by boat from San Marco Airport. The advert was unclear and it appeared that the toilets were private and included in the suite. In reality, they are shared in the corridor. The beds in the presidential suite are hard and lumpy. Especially the extra pull out bed, it was very uncomfortable. There were no blankets (we did get the the second day after asking). There was an old shower stall stored in the main bedroom and 'concealed' under a bed spread, it was very unsightly.
- Rory (4/5): Disappointing - Kitchen during the day. Very handy as the supermarket was next door. Room was really bare. Padlocks on the doors were really strange and made you feel less secure. The light in the kitchen was very dim. The place felt very empty and not somewhere I wanted to spend much time in. I never saw the owners once. Seems like a very odd guest house to me!
- Hiep (7/5): Good -
- Hiep (8/5): Very good - Good location and convenient to walk around. The property is well kept and cleaned
- Camila (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katsiaryna (7/5): Good - The place was good, in a proximity to sites. Very quiet, no one would bother you there.
Most stuff you need (like fan, or fridge, or microwave oven) are available. I wish there better furnishing and linen. It seemed that sheets are of my age, mattress deserves to be better.
Once I had to take shower with cold water and I have no idea how I was supposed to resolve that.
- Neli (1/5): Bad -
- Victoria (6/5): Misleading room description, was average anyway - Presidential suite - Good and clear check in instructions. Good quality lock on the door. Large room. Comfortable heating that can be changed. Great location. Good quality WiFi. Old style Venetian house - very cool to experience. Presidential suite - Room description is inaccurate, so we felt cheated in how much we paid for what we got and ended up disappointed. The description indicated we had our own bathroom and kitchen, like a self contained unit. Instead we had a bedroom space only and had to share the 2 house bathrooms with 5 other rooms that could have fit 3 people each. Luckily it was fairly quiet while we stayed so there wasn't much of a wait for bathrooms and noise was minimal in the guest house. The room is very bad for soundproofing, you can hear everything outside on the busy street and in the house. Bed and pillows are rock hard.
- Ignacio (5/5): Passable - Very good location and very clean I wanted to take a shower but the hot water was not working then had to be a cold shower that did not liked
- Nathaniel (6/5): Pleasant -
- Tytti (8/5): Very good -
- Ehud (4/5): Overpriced guesthouse, in a decent location - Close to most attractions; 15-30min walk. Easy to reach from the pier where you arrive. Kitchen and spacious. Supermarket just below the apartment, very handy.
Cleanliness was reasonable. Terrible check-in experience: initially the bedroom's electricity was not working, and they don't answer the phone; just send me a whatsapp contact... which does not answer either! (I resolved it on my own).
The "premium single" is a small single bed that isn't comfortable at all.
Sound insulation is bad - you hear everything in the apartment, and in the street.
The apartment was waaaaay too hot for no good reason.
You get smoking smell from outside, from time to time.
I can go on... let's just say, if you have budget limits, that's the only reason to stay here.
- Mariya (10/5): Perfect location, clean, comfortable, with all conveniences, spacious rooms. Best place to stay! - Perfect location, clean, comfortable, with all conveniences, spacious rooms
- Melissa (6/5): Very basic. Low value for money. - the size of the room and the location. The bath is shared (not clear in the reservation).
we had to search for the bed blankets, they were in the armchair but only duvets with no cover that we had to search, it's not hygienic all..
- Collin (4/5): - Fairly quiet area with stores, bars, and restaurants very close, but the posted pictures were deceiving. Room felt and looked like an old USA Civil War Era house and you had to share one toilet and bathroom with 5 other rooms. Also entering in 3 different codes to key lock boxes to get in was very inconvenient.
- Lauren (6/5): Great location but not for me. - The location is fantastic as its close to a supermarket and a 15 minute walk to the main attractions. The room is spacious and clean. I booked this room last minute as my airbnb cancelled at short notice.
As the room is very large, some drawers or a wardrobe or somewhere to put your clothes would be really beneficial. The cleanliness and noise of the shared areas will depend on the other guests. The first few nights were fine, but on the last night, two more groups arrived. This meant 9 people were sharing one bathroom (one room was also unoccupied still). At around 5am the rubbish collectors collect their wagons and from room 3, it is very noisy - if youre an early riser it could get you up to watch the sunrise though.
- Bobby (7/5): Feels like a hostel with more privacy but less community. Not super comfortable and has a shared bathroom, but it is qua - Apartment is quaint, location was great, value was good. Despite never being present, the staff on WhatsApp was incredibly responsive and understanding, which I appreciated since I was initially skeptical. In the president suite there are 4 beds listed, 2 in the living room, 2 in a bedroom. The bedroom beds are outdated, not very comfortable but fine. The living room beds we didn’t use but seemed dreadful. Would not say this can be billed as a 4 bed apartment unless they replace all the mattresses.
The listing for the president suite was not completely clear that there was a shared bathroom. There is technically a second at the base level, but it is a bit of a hassle to use it besides when entering or exiting the outer building.
- Katerina (10/5): Exceptional -
- İlke (7/5): Price/performance ratio is acceptable - Hostel's location is pretty close to market, groceries, waterbus station and Center. Room's door are old but staff are so helpful to handle with problems. Kitchen is acceptable to having breakfast and dinner. Bathrooms cleaning should be enhanced. There is one bathroom which has one toilet and one bath in bathroom. So you should wait to use it.
- Sercan (7/5): Good - The location is very convenient. After about a 15 min walk, you can take the water bus. Using the water bus you can visit the isles San Michele and Murano.
There are also grocery stores nearby.
Even though the bathroom is shared, it was very clean. Rooms have minimal furniture. Mine just had a couple of hangers but not an actual wardrobe.
The kitchen and the bathroom are shared. between 5 rooms.
- Alexis (9/5): Perfect, absolute bargain for the location. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. - Easy, stress-free check in, incredible central location, beautiful historic building. Clean, warm room with towel provided. Some of the other guests sharing the apartment were a bit noisy at night, but nothing the hotel can do about that. Nothing horrendous, but something to bear in mind if you're a bad sleeper (I'm not).
- Ka (7/5): Good -
- Joana (9/5): Superb -
- Milosz (10/5): Venezia 4661 - Location. Commodity. Rather not quick access to room. Chains and keys. But good for memory and hand operations.
