- Michael (9/5): Overall, a very good place for a relaxing stay, if you dont mind the layout and location - Large and very comfortable rooms, great spa facilities, and a restaurant that serves fresh and creative food. Staff are friendly and welcoming, which really adds to the stay. The location isn’t central, the sea view is only partial, and the hotel is spread over several buildings - so getting to the restaurant, spa, or parking can a bit inconvenient, even with the club car option.

Ellie was amazing – she went above and beyond to make our trip special by upgrading our room to one with a private pool and breathtaking sea view. The staff throughout the resort were friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. On our last day, our flight wasn’t until later in the evening, and Ellie kindly arranged a late checkout, which made all the difference. The experience was truly unforgettable, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommend!

The staff welcomed us with warmth, and the resort’s elegant design blended beautifully with the island’s natural landscape. Our room was spacious, spotless, and had a private pool — the perfect place to relax. Breakfast was fresh and varied, and dinner at the restaurant was a unique culinary experience. The location is peaceful, away from the crowds, yet close enough to explore the island easily with the resort’s shuttle. Magma Resort exceeded our expectations — a perfect spot for a luxurious and peaceful escape in Santorini.

Housekeeping, rude, and inconsistent. Banging on the door at 11 am twice to make up the room when trying to nap, then forgetting to replace dressing gown and water.

Perfect spot to explore the island from. Room was really nice and clean. Staff really friendly. we also got a upgraded room with sea view which was really nice! Maybe we didn’t know before but the restaurant was quite chique and on the expensive side. We ordered a side dish (fries) and we paid 8 euros for 8 fries. Next to that due to allergies it was only possible to select 4 dishes and there we no other option So we only went to the restaurant once. Also would be nice if there were some more affordable options in the afternoon for a nice snack and drink at the pool. It was quite empty and there was not really an atmosphere.

The breakfast was good, but last time we came the breakfast was much better (a la cart, Michelin style) , the options were more and it was much tastier. This time you were limited by only 1 a la cart choice… Once again the shuttle, could be more frequent

They were very nice to our 14 month-old daughter and made us feel very comfortable. The resort itself is small and exclusive, packed with people. We liked the location because it was quiet and away from busting tourist areas, a 15-20 taxi ride gets you everywhere though. The resort is calming, and you can really relax. We were happy with the breakfast but having stayed there for a longer period and not always leaving for dinner meant that we ate at the hotel restaurant often and the menu options started to feel limited. I think there could be some entertainment for kids like a little splash pool.

- Deborah (10/5): Exceptional - Myself and husband spent 11 nights in Magma Resort for our honeymoon at the beginning of July. The location was only a 10 min drive from the airport, which the resort kindly organised for us pre arrival. It was only a 10 min drive to Fira which was perfect for the nights we went out for dinner. The resort organised all of our transport to anywhere we wanted to go and organised transport for us coming back to the resort and we never had to wait longer than 10mins to be collected. The resort itself was absolutely out of this world! The facilities, amenities, cleanliness, luxury and attention to detail was second to none! But I would have to say what makes this resort so special is the impeccable attitude and standard of the staff working in Magma. Every day the staff and managers would check in with guests to make sure they were happy with their stay, which we always were. Anything we required was attended to straight away. The staff always had smiles on their faces and were fantastic people to deal with. The food was absolutely beautiful, breakfast was out of this world! Drinks and cocktails were fantastic. Rooms were beautiful, and cleaning staff was exceptional in their standard of cleaning every day! The pool and communal facilities were pure luxury and the view from the infinity pool breath taking. It was approx 4 days before we even left the Resort for dinner because it literally had everything we needed and more! I would return to Magma Resort in a heartbeat. They are an exceptional resort and should be extremely proud of how they run the place! Absolutely nothing!

- Oliver (7/5): Good - A nice place that is away from the tourist bustle of santorini. A well presented, modern and fresh room with a great bed, bathroom, air conditioning and all very clean and tidy. It's a lot of money, so it has to be judged on its price point. Because it's quite far from anywhere (need a car/uber to get in to town or to see sights), you rely on the amenities at the hotel more than normal. Food was well presented but felt like it was designed for an "international palate" - unfortunately quite plain and it felt very held back. Everything you buy isn't cheap (wine, beer, water, dinner etc), and for that I expected it all to be excellent, but like the food it is easily beaten by simple affordable options in town. The main pool area is nice but can get quite sunny and crowded during the day. We picked a sea view room and it was more of a 'sea glance' given the location of the resort surrounded by rural buildings.

They had a great variety for the buffet breakfast and the all day menu was also divine. They also offer free shuttle services into Fira which was great - we then could catch the local bus for 2 euro’s to go to Oia. We were upgraded to the king room with a private pool but we still spent most of our time by the infinity pool. We will definitely be back!

- Gillian (9/5): Beautiful and spotlessly clean hotel in great location with extremely supportive staff! - The location is great as it is 10mins from the airport and central for other places we wanted to visit such as Oia, Thira and Seaside Santorini. The staff are very friendly and helpful and arranged taxis for us whenever we needed one. The hotel and pool area is beautiful and very peaceful and we were upgraded to a room with a private pool on arrival. There was a very limited poolside menu and the dressing gowns provided were extremely small!

Its a new hotel so needs some tweeking. First day they didn't clean our room. Next day they forgot towels. The room didn't have a full length mirror which is essential. The scale wasn't working. They didn't replace the kleenex box and a bunch of other really small but basic services.

- Dan (10/5): The best hotel we’ve ever got to stay in by far! If i want to describe prefection it will probably be this hotel. It loo - The hotel itself is designed beautifully, the food is delicious, even more than all of the restaurants in the island. The rooms are mesmerizing, comfortable, and always clean and organized. Ours was so great we didn’t even wont to leave it! But in case you do want to leave, you should try the luxurious spa which is free, or the amazing pool which has a great view, and lots of room to sit. There is also a comfortable free shuttle service to prime locations on the island, in case you want to travel around. But the thing that we loved the most is the attention to the details, everything was up and running, and was right on time. Every guest gets the best treatment and the full attention from the hotel as he/she was the only one in it, and it all thanks to the excellent staff! They were caring, friendly and very helpful. Definitely worth the visit if you are coming to Santorini, we know we will return only to experience this amazing hotel again! Absolutely nothing.
- Sinda (7/5): nice hotel all in all but not worth the 550€/night - good breakfast, the spa is very nice, location near the main villages and airport but not in the crowded, nice staff sometimes a bit inexperienced (pool employee entering the room twice despite a do not disturb sign) the room’s decor was nice but not confortable, poorly designed in terms of confort (too much furniture, not enough room). bedding was not at the level of a 5 star hotel. and the biggest disappointment : the view, not in line with the pictures - the hotel is too low with a view on not very nice surroundings. in spite of being 5 minutes from the airport, the shuttle is charged 40€…, for this standing, complementary would be a nice touch.

- Sharon (9/5): Luxurious, friendly, relaxing and made us smile every day. - This resort is beautiful make no mistake. We had a private pool as part of our room which made the holiday for us. The staff are unbelievably hard working, attentive and most of all friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The place was relaxed and felt like you were staying with friends rather than the stuffiness of a hotel. The facilities were A1 and the island is simply stunning. No complaints and so many positives, we loved it. As the development is only a year or so old there were one or two teething problems but nothing that would make us think twice.

- Melony (10/5): Fantastic stay for my first time in Greece - This hotel is truly excellent on all levels. Outstanding staff and excellent management. The room size is outstanding. My room has a private courtyard with a swimming pool, where I also get a sea view. The manager is very kind and thoughtful, they even sent staff to help me with my baggage while checking in and out. I also got some help with car booking since my own car rental booking was toast, and the hotel manager helped me at the last minute! I also enjoyed a semi-private boat trip thanks to the host who helped me book it from reception. I had a fantastic time during my stay, and thanks very much ! I think it's overall checked all the boxes, among many high-rated luxurious hotels that I have ever stayed, this one is still standing out from the crowd.
