- Marsha (9/5): Delightful and will definitely visit again! - The service was amazing and our room was so nice & cozy! The location is superb too! Not a deal-breaker, but unfortunately we got the bathroom with no Japanese toilet; no fun buttons to press.
- Moira (9/5): Comfortable, slope side haven with superbly friendly hotel staff - We didn't;t access breakfast as keen to get out skiing and made own in room really excellent. Would have been an added touch to have a communal bar area
- Valens (7/5): A fantastic location and pleasing Osen right o - The location is right in the heart of Hirafu and super close to the lifts. We had a strong odour from our room’s plumbing that eventually meant we were moved to another room. It took 2 days of living with the unpleasant odour while the hotel management tried to fix it. The room we were moved to had a different configuration and was smaller, which would have been ok had we not been in our original room. This was a disappointment, and it would have been a nice gesture to move us to a better room for having to deal with a sewer smell for a few days.

- GIOVANNI (1/5): - Had a smell of rotten gas in the room the whole stay. Also the first night had us in the wrong room. Disappointing stay.
- Haruko (10/5): The staff was very hospitable and accomodating while location is easy access to restaurants and shops. - The staff, ease of the location to restaurants, fairly easy to the lifts, rental facility on property, ski lockers with boot warmers, onsen/pool, restaurant. Rachel especially was very hospitable remembering our name after just one meeting. The front desk was very accommodating when we requested for a late check out as our son fell ill and was able to rest until our departure in the comfort of the room. Sometimes the halls smelled like fish or wet towel?

- Fiona (10/5): Great ski hotel - One of the best locations for skiing in Hirafu, so easy to take the Ace Family Quad to access the Ace Gondola. Excellent service from all staff. Comfortable stylish rooms, with an onsen, pool and restaurant all boxes ticked.

- Chao (10/5): Great and will definitely come back again and again - Overall this a a great hotel for ski and family. All amenities are good enough. The way of ski in and out is easy. Every thing Easy to use, and stay like home, relax, clean. Staffs are so great and helpful. Staffs Specially Jasmyn, Charles, Joe and Leith are very nice. Also a staff from New Zealand, can’t remember his name are very very nice, they are very warm and helpful, our family feel like back to where we really It's like returning to a very familiar environment. Thanks all staffs! I want to say The hotel staff is one of the main reasons why we would consider coming back again. The carpet, looks not that nice, but of course the color is Relatively dirt-resistant.

After much negotiation, property upgraded my room, which was good. Communication about its only restaurant being closed came too late for me to book another hotel with eating outlets.

Breakfast is super limited and by order only, no fruits. It’s fine if you are there two or three days but any more than that I would not like it. The swimming pool is for decoration, it supposed to be heated but even in spring water was cold, you can’t really use it.

Everything you could possibly need was provided in the kitchen it was great! Also to have an ice fridge! The staff were very friendly and helpful especially the hotel manager. The onsen area (inside and outside) and sauna were very great for relaxing after skiing. The hotel is walking distance to the main street and you can ski-in to the hotel from the slope. Actually nothing. We would have liked a Japanese breakfast option in the restaurant. Otherwise, the food was great.

Good customer service does not use term “there should be”. There is only a term - “I will check it out for you, sir.”… …and allways with a smile… not with an Australian youngster “I couldn’t care less” face.

Straight to the ski lockers. Great on site restaurant and bar too. The personal service we received was exceptional. The GM, Mirko Corbella greeted us on arrival and Mandy and her team were very attentive and helpful. Isaac drive us up to the gondola and helped us with our skis and boards. Milly helped with restaurant bookings, and we were driven there, and picked up. The on site ski rental shop also provided excellent service. Nothing

The window blind for the bathroom is like see through blind, it is very embarrassing for 3 adults sharing room (even for brothers and sister). The design is totally weird and it is totally unacceptable. The onsen is not taking care of by the staff, the used towels are everywhere in the changing area. You can find clean towels are being put on the shelf for shoes. I have been to many Japanese hotels with onsen and this is the first time I saw used towels stacked up like mountain and all over the place with nobody cleaning up. With this high room rate, it is totally not up to the standard. We can hardly find any Japanese staff at front desk, concierge and the restaurant, a lot of staff are like still under training and not experienced at all.

I wouldn’t recommend Niseko as a destination but if you do go to Niseko, here is a good pla - Great hotel, nice big, clean room, good location, close to the lift. The onsen was nice, having an on-site ski and board store was great for waxing. The board and boot locker was good and my boots were always dry the next day. The staff were so friendly, helpful and understanding. especially following an incident in the onsen with my partner. It was busy, there were not enough staff in the morning to cater for the amount of people that were dining there, which means people were waiting a long time for breakfast and tables were not getting cleared for new guests. There were a lot of American guests there who did not respect the customs with the onsen. Would not recommend Niseko for a Japanese experience.

- Tjin (6/5): Great apartments, mediocre service - The design of the apartments is excellent They moved the kids ski school to another location, no longer at the Base in front of The Vale and there are very infrequent shuttle buses there unlike at their neighbouring resorts eg Aya and Setsu. We once waited 40 minutes for a pickup after ski school ended and had to call 3 times before someone came for us. We had an issue with the fireplace and heating at 11pm but there isn’t a reliable maintenance service. the night manager couldn’t answer any of our questions and while the issues were finally resolved, he told us repeatedly he wasn’t sure if he could get hold of maintenance, everyone was off-duty. He tried to Google how to fix the heating system and had no idea how to fix the fireplace but also wasn’t sure if anyone would be able to help us. Night duty service needs work.

- Natasha (9/5): Ski in Ski out. Wonderful stay. - The location and the facilities. It was such a well appointed hotel. Being able to rent your equipment and ski in and out of the hotel to the ski lifts was fantastic. Equally being able to ski in and put your gear into a dry room locker and have an onsen and sauna after a hard day on the slopes was so relaxing.. Rooms were great. Concierge and front desk staff were so very helpful and friendly. The restaurant staff at breakfast standing around chatting to one another with uncleared tables and having to waiting up to 20 minutes for a long black and 40 for fried eggs was abit average.

But they cut a lot of corners (no housekeeping, basic rooms etc - Excellent breakfast that is packaged into most bookings, onsen facilities were great and felt authentic. Location was right by the family chair lift. Seemed like they cut costs where they could. Rooms were very basic, carpet felt old and a bit dingy. Hotel was clearly short staffed. During breakfast, there was 1 waiter running around for the entire restaurant. Housekeeping is nonexistent, they come to change out your trash/towels every other day and they’ll change your linens every 4 days. When I emailed the front drs prior to our stay about helping us with reservations, I was told they don’t do that, only to find out there is an entire concierge service that specializes in doing that.

- Kate (8/5): Beautiful stay, however may choose a different place for our next visit. - The staff went above and beyond for us, they were incredible there. Spacious rooms. Beautiful and cosy interiors. Great location - close to family. Onsen was very nice. Lockers provided for snow gear which was extremely helpful. The kitchenette was PERFECT for us and made our stay more homely as we were able to make our own meals (may need a bigger fridge though as the fridge provided was smaller than an average size bar fridge - but we made do) The breakfast was not great - they were out of a lot of items and weren’t able to accommodate to my gluten intolerance even though the menu said the option to accommodate was there. There was also a female waitress who I can only assume was maybe the manager was extremely rude and unwelcoming at every visit for breakfast, she made us feel very uncomfortable and when you pay extremely high rates you expect nothing but quality service which we didn’t receive.

- Daniele (1/5): Basement rooms SCAM!!!! - location is very good, convenient to access slopes and the village at the same time the hotel has 5 basement room they sell just among the regular ones without any note apart from emails you reserved after your reservation. apart from the visibility on a wall and the parking lot over it, there is no mobile signal and lot of noises coming from the ski lockers. I am sure there might be clients interesting in saving something for this kind of accommodation, I hate I was tricked into it and the personnel, well prepared to handle the outcome of this evident common scam of theirs, has a bad attitude on top of being totally unhelpful. last but not least, don’t pay extra for the breakfast, you get to choose only 1 dish and 1 drink from the menu. if you want both a coffee and a juice you need to pay extra! you can have a better and cheaper breakfast anywhere in town…

- Man (4/5): Disappointing - The rooms are big n clean. The onsen facilities are good. All the staff are not trained. Except for the few senior management staff, almost everyone else is new hire with minimal knowledge of their own hotel and keep providing wrong info n caused us much frustration throughout our stay. Example we were told to walk all the way out for 10, 15 mins out in the snow for the "nearest ski equipment rental shop " when there is a ski equipment shop right inside their own hotel!! Right up to the last day when we took their shuttle to the Hirafu Welcome Centre, the driver was also new n almost lost his way n potentially made us miss our coach back to Sapporo city. Although the senior staff were apologetic , we are not going back as we don't want to be guinea pigs for them to train their staff, and waste all our time n money.
